Food is good, ambience and experience feels tacky. I want to start by praising the kitchen on having fresh ingredients and everything we ordered being quite tasty and well made. The staff was pushy, and they were a bit rushing us to order and stuff. It felt like they had enough social interactions and fed up. They spoke very direct and had no temper. They didn’t necessarily act angry but they didn’t show any sign of patience or sympathy I would say. Menu and ordering was a frustrating experience. When we came we got: -1 drinks menu -1 sheet of laminated a4 paper showing some low resolution sushi photos? -1 form to fill your order (with numbers and names) -a menu per person made from something that feels like a pvc sheet which has had a very rough life. The wallpaper and interior design felt tacky and some sauce serving options were questionable (like getting a bottle of sauce with chicken sticks). I am not really fond of fake tealights and i feel like a restaurant of this caliper can do better. The Frames placed around have low quality prints inside. But we can call these sections a matter of taste. I wish it could be a bit more original instead of giving 2014 pinterest. Portion size and price are ok, but in general if you wanna leave full, you should expect to pay around 40-50 per person.

After a satisfying dinner, I strolled around the streets and saw this restaurant with a Michelin recommendation for four consecutive years hanging outside, so I made a reservation for dinner the next day. Arriving at the appointed time, I waited 11 minutes before being seated. The food wasn't as amazing as I'd imagined, but it was still quite good. Because the restaurant was packed, the food didn't come out quickly, and the wait was considerable. The steamed sea bass was very tender, the oysters were okay, and the sushi was all good. The chicken was a bit too sweet (I personally don't like overly sweet dishes).

Wow, what food. Everything we ordered was excellent. Sushi, Korean beef, Peking duck, spring roll gyoza, everything was perfect. Only when we left did we see in the window that the place was recommended by Michelin. For lovers of Asian food, but with some changes, it is highly recommended. Excellent service, vegetarians also have options. Aesthetic presentation and a very reasonable price for a Michelin recommended restaurant.

I really don t know why they have Michelein stars? the crab salad is less then normal and the rest of the food was ok. Because of the a lot of Michelein stars my expectations was too high.

Awards are exciting, but the food is disappointing. I tried the restaurant based on the number of Michelin stars displayed on the door. I tried their menu: 1- Kani Salad: It felt like a separate salad. There were lettuce pieces on top, mango pieces that seemed unnecessary, and it was covered with large crab pieces and a lot of mayonnaise. It wasn't a bad dish, but I wouldn't order it again. I prefer the regular Kani Salad. 2- Shrimp Dumplings: A boring dish. The dough was very thick, and the filling was dry and bland. 3- Tuna Truffle: Good flavors, but the tuna was overcooked and cut into thick chunks. 4- Two Time Tuna Roll: One of the best rolls I've ever had. It was delicious, the tuna portion was good, and the accompanying sauce was satisfying. 5- Rock 'n' Roll: A good dish suitable for most tastes. It was good, but nothing special. Overall, I didn't like the restaurant, even though it's popular and has many awards. The menu is eye-catching and delicious, but the execution isn't the best.

10/10 We had the Bib Gourmand Menu with Sushi and every single bite was delightful.

Everything here was 5 stars. We showed up with no reservation and they had a table we could have for an hour and I’m so happy we took it. Each item that came out was better than the next. The golden har Kua had a great presentation and even better taste. I was skeptical of the flaming sake roll since I don’t like sake, and I was sad we only ordered a half roll. The rock and roll roll was incredible- the combo of flavors was just perfect. The Cambodian basil beef was so good. The meat was cooked medium rare, and the flavors with the dipping sauce was heavenly. The ribeye foie gras nigiri was incredible. We also had little chicken wraps that were excellent as well. To drink we had their own beer which was so smooth. Service was excellent- all the servers helped each other and you were never without a drink if you didn’t want to be. Food came times perfectly.

Both the tuna tataki and nigiri we tried were not tasty at all; the rice was tasteless, and the tuna was dry, while it was clear that both were not well executed. Dumplings were doughy, and we couldn’t even get the taste of the inside filling. The pork gyoza were fine. However, we loved the spider sushi; it was unique and really tasty! The curry shrimp dish was good and tasty as well. They offer a wide variety of options for food, yet we think trying out their sushi menu could be a better choice. Worth to mention that all plates were well presented. Additionally, they only have one choice of glass for each wine type, so if you want any other wine, you should order a bottle; you can’t have it as a glass. Something that felt off was the “share dining” concept, which was mentioned at the start. How can you share when each plate is coming one by one, with sometimes more than 10 minutes difference? Moreover, since you share, why should you wait for the last course in order to receive the rice, which is a side dish? The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our time, but the food & concept did not satisfy our expectations from this place.

A-Fusion in Amsterdam impresses with its refined ambiance and elegant decor, perfectly in keeping with its Asian inspiration, creating an ideal setting for a pleasant meal. The majority of the dishes, with their refined and well-executed flavors, were excellent. The only slight drawback was the fried crab, whose meat was somewhat lost in the frying, preventing one from fully appreciating its delicate flavor. And be warned about the chilies that accompany it. Despite this, the experience remains extremely positive and highly recommended. Enjoy!

The first time around we came we didn’t have a reservation as we was not sure we needed one. We made a reservation and was happy with the outcome. The waiter was very helpful when I informed him that I am pregnant and that me and hubby don’t eat pork. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos this time (we tried to enjoy ourselves) but we had the sticky chicken, chicken roll from the sushi menu, egg fried rice and the Kani salad. Worth the visit and the prices were great considering it’s a Michelin starred restaurant.

The service here was unbelievably harsh. I had booked a table for two for my birthday and even traveled from another city by train to Amsterdam just to have a special dinner at this restaurant. Unfortunately, my friend couldn’t make it, so I arrived alone. I was shown to my table, seated, and had already ordered food and a drink when a waitress noticed I was dining alone. She then told me they needed the table for guests arriving in pairs and asked me to move to the bar, where only one cramped seat was left. I politely asked if I could keep my table, but was told no. She asked me to move to the bar and have my meal there until 9pm when it was already 8:40pm and I didn’t even receive a single dish. As someone who also works in the service industry, I was shocked. It’s disheartening to see a business prioritize maximizing revenue and table turnover over basic hospitality and customer experience. Thank you for turning what should have been a special 30th birthday into a deeply disappointing one.

The food really isn’t great and our order was messed up multiple times by a very inexperienced staff. Several diners came in after us and received their food before us. The lack of apology or acknowledgment was disappointing.

We went for lunch; I'm not a huge sushi fan, but I loved it. The food in general was incredibly good; I left completely enamored with the food at this place. The only thing we didn't like was that our reservation was for a short time, just over an hour. We would have loved to stay longer. The atmosphere was lovely.

The atmosphere inside was nice, but the food was just average; nothing was memorable. It tasted like any ordinary sushi restaurant outside. The staff were impolite; they spoke to us rudely for being a few minutes late, even though we were late. They tried to move our table to another table, but the service was poor. All of this combined makes it completely unworthy of a Michelin recommendation.

We arrived without a reservation, and they managed to seat us at a table, even though we'd been told it would only be for 50 minutes. We never felt rushed, and then they let us stay longer. As for the food, it's the fastest restaurant we've been to in Amsterdam. Everything came out incredibly quickly, and the food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered several dishes to share, and I think that's the best way to try everything at this place.

I see you have some very good recommendations, but my experience wasn't the same, perhaps because I didn't order the Michelin-starred menu, which is the most recommended. The restaurant is a bit small, so the tables are almost right next to each other. Navigating the restaurant can be a bit difficult, although obviously you're not going there to walk around inside. The food was delicious, but not at the level of other Michelin-starred restaurants I've been to. The best was the crispy chicken sushi, which was truly spectacular. The other dishes we ate (Korean BBQ, Korean chicken, and rice) were good but not amazing. The prices were quite good for a Michelin-starred restaurant, although I recommend ordering the recommended menu or sushi, which is apparently the house specialty.

The entrance looks like a small restaurant, but the inside is very nice, the dim atmosphere is nice. My friend had sushi and he liked it very much, but I didn't eat anything else because it didn't suit my taste. But I think it's a good place for those who like Asian cuisine.

They set the tone for a night of creative Asian fusion — Chinese, Thai, Japanese influences all on one menu. Just a tiny thing: the dish has only three oysters, so if you’re a big fan, you might want to get two portions. I ended up with three, but I should have ordered at least five—it was too late to add extras. We had a reservation for 10 PM, and we were a bit late, but they still let us in and took such good care of us. But hey, with the oysters, sushi, dumplings, and grilled skewers, we were super happy and already dreaming of coming back!

What a treat! This place was packed a Sunday evening in October, that’s a good sign of a great place. They have a huge selection of Asian dishes with an interesting twist. Winner was the two times tuna, Korean bbq beef and the Cuban cigar dessert. I will definitely come back here again

I found the dining experience here disappointing. The main issues were related to the execution and quality: the fish on the nigiri wasn't fresh, which is a huge failure for a sushi restaurant. The miso soup was surprisingly sweet and one-dimensional, lacking any traditional complexity. A generous amount of mayonnaise detracted from the flavor of the appetizers and rolls. Overall, this is an average restaurant that needs significant improvement, although the seaweed salad was acceptable.

I lived in Shanghai for 6 months (many years ago) but something I won’t forget are the flavors. A-Fusion brought me to Shanghai and all the variety of the Chinese and South-East Asian cuisine. I chose this place to spend my Christmas night and it was perfect, the ambiance is great, the people who work here is amazingly kind. Dishes you cannot miss: satay chicken, tuna truffle, butterfly shrimps and umami oysters 🤩 I’ll be back on my next visit to Amsterdam for sure.

Today we tried sushi, and we realized that what we had eaten before wasn’t real sushi at all. We had a roll called Rock’n Roll, along with their house-made beer and some mochi. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious — we left so happy!😍😍woowww 👏👏

I really wanted to try this one, but it compared to my expectations, it was okay. The staff were kind, and the atmosphere. Some menus were brilliant but some were not so special. Overall it’s not too good investment for the high price. But if you’re feeling rich, or have already had dinner and are looking for quality bites with drinks. It’s worth visiting

The service, on the other hand, was downright annoying: constantly interrupted to sell drinks, and even half-empty bottles were taken away to sell new ones. This felt pushy and made the experience unpleasant. Considering the high price, you would expect at least better food and customer service. 3 stars, really not worth more.

Over priced for one. One lady took our order. My wife gets hers. Nothing arrives for me. Another waiter comes and ask me how my meal was? I said I didn’t get it yet. Another waiter brings me my appetizer. Then yet another different waiter ask us if we want dessert.i told him I never got my meal. Yet another waiter comes and tells me they are cooking my food now. I told him to forget it. 79 euros for 2 plates of ok sushi.

Great discovery located in the Redlight. The Michelin Guide took us to this place but be careful the prices of this restaurant are very reasonable for a Michelin. The service is fast but the wine suggestions are forgettable! You can risk a walk in but 5/10 wins. We'll try it anyway! GO

Overpriced sushi , vegetarian menu includes tuna and fish in description make sure you read it carefully as they won’t replace the food ordered. Drinks too expensive all in all food could taste better if it wasn’t such a shock to wallet

We had a pleasant time at A-fusion. The food was good, but not exceptional. We were actually a little disappointed because we were expecting something more refined given the presence of Michelin Guide macarons in the window. The atmosphere of the restaurant was undoubtedly the most enjoyable aspect of the experience. The dim lighting and the open kitchen add a special atmosphere to the place. The most disappointing aspect now was the service. Although the staff were very pleasant and polite, we were disappointed when we received the bill. We paid €7.50 for a one-liter bottle of water, which I think is close to a rip-off. I also find that putting the customer on the spot by asking them if they wanted to add a tip when paying is very unpleasant and particularly embarrassed me. Overall, it was a good experience, but I will pass next time.

You wouldn't expect such an excellent restaurant right in the city center. Simply order different dishes for the whole table. The service is excellent, but above all, the dishes are very good and tasty. The setting, with the chef by the window, is reminiscent of a pizza maker from the distant past. The result is that the dishes are served immediately after being prepared. And that's exactly what you taste: incredibly good. The hot dishes are also served immediately after they're ready. So it's best to always share everything so everyone can enjoy it right away. The wine list is excellent and has a wide selection, with plenty of wines available by the glass.

I'm giving a five star rating becausa it was honestly very very good, a lot of flavors that were unexpected because of the mixes that the restaurant do with their plates, but the price was so high, that part of me wanted to lower a star down, but if price is not a problem for you, it is amazing

The Michelin stars caught our eye. It was a good thing, especially in this busy neighborhood. A little pricey, but the dishes were refined and served with great care. The flavors and tastes are there. The only downside to this lunch was the lack of lighting. For 3 people...€85 Impeccable restrooms, which is a testament to the quality of this establishment.
