The food is delicious; it's in the Michelin Guide for a reason. The service is excellent—friendly, attentive, and punctual. It's the only place so far that truly deserves five stars in every way.

Few meters away there are far better and more filling experiences.

Delicious sushi, lightning fast and friendly service.

The portions here are quite small for the prices charged. Three tiny chicken satay skewers cost €19, and seven small bites of beef were another €19. To top it off, the food was entirely forgettable. ​When it came time to pay, I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip because "a service charge wasn’t included." We are in Europe, not the US. Servers here earn actual living wages. Pushing this imported tipping culture onto customers is ridiculous. Ended up spending 53 euro per person and still hungry.

This is our favorite sushi spot in Amsterdam. The food is delicious, the decor is cool, and the staff is great. The bill can be steep, but it's worth it. Even when it was busy, the staff was very attentive and quick.

It’s a Michelin recommended place. Fresh and tasty rolls, interesting maki selection and nice presentation. It’s more expensive than most places in the US (26 euros for 8 pieces)

The only downside of this restaurant is that it is very small and very popular, so it is always (over)full. But the service and the food are more than good. We always leave here satisfied!

The sushi was okay, but nothing special. The seaweed salad was quite good, and the breaded shrimp were excellent. We had the feeling that one dish had almost been forgotten. When we asked about it, we were told it was coming. It arrived much later, and by the time we had finished eating the rest of our meal, we didn't really need it. Given the very good reviews and Mechelin awards, we had expected better value for money.

Sooooo happy I chanced upon this gem. Phenomenal food, exceptional service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back soon!

Location is great, right in city center. Atmosphere and service were fine by European standards. The food, however, was average to meh. With its consecutive Michelin bib gourmand recommendation, you’d expect something out of the ordinary kind of good. While Amsterdam is not known for its gastronomy, I wonder if the Michelin people in this city were too high to correctly review the food. The Japanese salad is made out of mango sauce, imitation crab stick and Japanese mayo for 13e. It results in a poor attempt at an asian salad. The sushi were average considering they are 3e + per piece. It is nothing close to real sushi. The nigiri, for 5e per piece, is just underwhelming. I’d not go back.

Perhaps the Michelin star signs set our expectations too high, but the food was below average. The salmon did not taste very fresh and the sauce in the butterfly shrimp was not anything better than what you find at an average Thai restaurant. The rolls have a lot of sauce, which overpowers the taste of the real food. The restaurant also uses fake crab meat, which is not something I would expect in a Michelin star restaurant. The service was good, though. The staff was very friendly. The ambience was fine.

I love this place. The staff are always so kind and welcoming. The dish presentation is gorgeous and made with precision and care, not to mention delicious.

We've been there four times already. The first few times we were blown away. Now it's not quite as spectacular. Still very tasty though!

One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at

They told us from the start that the portions were small and that we should order two or three per person, so we ordered five, but the portions were still far too small. Also, the atmosphere isn't comfortable for sitting for a long time. The food tasted decent, but at this price, I would go to a different restaurant where each dish is served generously. Plus, considering the tip, it is by no means a cheap restaurant.

Excellent Asian restaurant in Amsterdam! We came after seeing the very positive reviews and the Michelin Guide recommendation, and we weren't disappointed. Upon arrival, a small appetizer plate was offered while we waited to choose our dishes—a very thoughtful touch. The service was quick and well-paced, with a seamless flow of dishes. The concept is based on sharing several plates at the table, allowing you to sample many different things. We tried six different dishes, all very good, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portions are quite generous: six "tapas" were more than enough for two people. Special mention goes to the Korean barbecue, with very tender and flavorful meat, and the scallop carpaccio with an incredible sesame sauce. I highly recommend it! Just one small point to note: the prices are rather high.

The staff was very unfriendly and not welcoming at all. The young male waiter was very rude and absolutely not service minded. Other reviews also complain about the attitude of the staff. Too bad, it ruined our lunch. Also, the music was totally horrible and did not match the idea of the restaurant at all. When we tried to order the male waiter was very unwelcoming, we just left as we felt very unwelcome, we did not eat or drink in this hostile atmosphere.

A fantastic discovery! We ordered a little bit of everything to experience the menu as much as possible. The California rolls, sushi, gyoza, and other dishes were delicious! The order of courses was well thought out to allow us to savor every bite! Thank you again for this experience; the team is lovely and attentive.

The fried chicken was delicious. The server recommended I order it with rice, but since I was already full, I didn’t order any. I think it would have tasted even better with rice. The scallops were also great, and the tuna sushi was excellent too.

A-Fusion Food & Drinks was a very enjoyable experience. We took the Gault&Millau menu, which felt like a culinary trip through Southeast Asia — thankfully without airport security, jet lag, or someone reclining their seat into your soup. The flavours were lovely: varied, well balanced, and interesting without becoming one of those menus where every dish needs a small documentary before you are allowed to eat it. It was a nice journey through different Asian influences, with plenty to enjoy along the way. The staff were friendly, attentive, and nicely on point. Also worth mentioning: inside, the vibe was calm and pleasant, very different from the crazy busy tourist horde outside. A small oasis of good food and civilized behaviour, which in a crowded area can feel almost suspicious. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. Good flavours, good service, relaxed atmosphere, and a menu that actually felt like a proper culinary trip.

A really nice spot for Asian cuisine with a good variety beyond just sushi. You can find dishes from different cuisines like Chinese and Japanese, which makes the menu quite interesting. We tried the chicken dumplings, duck pancakes and a beef truffle roll, and everything was genuinely delicious. Service was quick despite the place being quite busy, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only thing missing for me was a dessert option to finish the meal, as there wasn’t really a dessert menu. Still, definitely a great place to try and I’d recommend it.

OMGGGG this is one of my favorite meals of my life. We got lucky and got a table on a Saturday night and my god the food was so fresh. Got the lamb chops, rib eye foie gras and Korean bbq steak and it was all AMAZING 10/10 chefs kiss. Our waiter Mees was phenomenal!! Highly recommend.

The reception is great even if we don't speak English well, the dishes follow each other quickly about 20 minutes of waiting they start to arrive. I'm not a big fan of Asian cooking but I was pleasantly surprised (half in fact given the number of Michelin stars that the restaurant has), the dishes are excellent and gourmet we don't leave with a half empty stomach. in short i recommend.

It looks like a tourist trap (and honestly that was my perception too) but it is NOT. The food is really good, specifically the Sushi 20 pcs and the Korean BBQMeat. Team is nice and collaborative. A couple of suggestions though: the curtain to cover the entrance of the kitchen is really "not cool" and I would love to add a bit more lighting. Really cool the frame on the wall with Chinese/Japanese arts.

There is nothing I didn’t love about this place. From the food to the atmosphere to the service. I’m a little taken it back by some of these other reviews. The place doesn’t hold itself out to being a Five star Michelin gourmet restaurant, it has a BibGourmand. These tend to be more local smaller operations with outstanding food, which this was. Being from California, it felt like a cross between a high-end sushi bar and a San Francisco Chinatown dim sum place. It was exactly what we were hoping for. And the food!!!!Everything we had was top-notch, but our personal favorites were the gin frothed sashimi, and the Korean beef. Not a single thing we ordered wasn’t top-notch. And the staff was exceptionally friendly. I will definitely put this on the top of my list of places to recommend travelers to go. Thanks for a great night.

The portions were extremely small, especially considering the prices. It felt like the staff’s main goal was to push us to order more while rushing us out as quickly as possible. We were repeatedly interrupted by different staff members asking if we wanted drinks, even after we clearly said we didn’t. To make matters worse, when I went to the ladies’ restroom, I found a male staff member using it, and he left it in a very unhygienic state.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

The food was so darn good, I can see why this place has so many good reviews! I had 3 times of sushi: 1. Salmon QP 2 pieces; the sushi was so soft and delicious 2. Flaming sake 4 pieces 3. Crunchy chicken 4 pieces I also had the miso soup which was perfect because it wasn’t too strong of an over powering miso taste, it was just right. For drinks I had the home made ice tea which was good too. Everything is made fresh and overall it was really good if you’re craving sushi and I really really appreciate and like the menu. The menu wasn’t too long nor was there too many options to think too much about. It was just right and catered for everyone’s taste buds, salmon, chicken, veggie, tuna, etc. ‼️If possible please book a table beforehand as it’s PACKED. I was alone and came at around 6:40 PM on a Sunday (Easter) and the only place available for me was at the bar.

I'm not giving it 5 stars because we had a small table and it was a bit uncomfortable. The staff's friendliness and the quality of the food (not just the sushi; it's worth ordering one of the cooked dishes) are very high. We were delighted. A must-visit when we return to Amsterdam.

A-Fusion's Value dosn't come from the quality of the food alone, for me it was an experience of new flavors mixed perfectly for my palate. Being able to get an Idea for good meatbased sushi, excellent housebeer and customercare made this a worthwhile experience

Food is good, ambience and experience feels tacky. I want to start by praising the kitchen on having fresh ingredients and everything we ordered being quite tasty and well made. The staff was pushy, and they were a bit rushing us to order and stuff. It felt like they had enough social interactions and fed up. They spoke very direct and had no temper. They didn’t necessarily act angry but they didn’t show any sign of patience or sympathy I would say. Menu and ordering was a frustrating experience. When we came we got: -1 drinks menu -1 sheet of laminated a4 paper showing some low resolution sushi photos? -1 form to fill your order (with numbers and names) -a menu per person made from something that feels like a pvc sheet which has had a very rough life. The wallpaper and interior design felt tacky and some sauce serving options were questionable (like getting a bottle of sauce with chicken sticks). I am not really fond of fake tealights and i feel like a restaurant of this caliper can do better. The Frames placed around have low quality prints inside. But we can call these sections a matter of taste. I wish it could be a bit more original instead of giving 2014 pinterest. Portion size and price are ok, but in general if you wanna leave full, you should expect to pay around 40-50 per person.

After a satisfying dinner, I strolled around the streets and saw this restaurant with a Michelin recommendation for four consecutive years hanging outside, so I made a reservation for dinner the next day. Arriving at the appointed time, I waited 11 minutes before being seated. The food wasn't as amazing as I'd imagined, but it was still quite good. Because the restaurant was packed, the food didn't come out quickly, and the wait was considerable. The steamed sea bass was very tender, the oysters were okay, and the sushi was all good. The chicken was a bit too sweet (I personally don't like overly sweet dishes).

Wow, what food. Everything we ordered was excellent. Sushi, Korean beef, Peking duck, spring roll gyoza, everything was perfect. Only when we left did we see in the window that the place was recommended by Michelin. For lovers of Asian food, but with some changes, it is highly recommended. Excellent service, vegetarians also have options. Aesthetic presentation and a very reasonable price for a Michelin recommended restaurant.

Very good restaurant; the food was top quality, timely and the ambience was nice. We tried almost all sushis, fried crab, lamb chops and prawns and they were all great. One sushi that stands out is the gin salmon 2pc sushi

This restaurant truly gives us the feeling of dining in Japan. The food is just as delicious. All the sushi rolls are the best. I will definitely eat here again.

I really don t know why they have Michelein stars? the crab salad is less then normal and the rest of the food was ok. Because of the a lot of Michelein stars my expectations was too high.

Awards are exciting, but the food is disappointing. I tried the restaurant based on the number of Michelin stars displayed on the door. I tried their menu: 1- Kani Salad: It felt like a separate salad. There were lettuce pieces on top, mango pieces that seemed unnecessary, and it was covered with large crab pieces and a lot of mayonnaise. It wasn't a bad dish, but I wouldn't order it again. I prefer the regular Kani Salad. 2- Shrimp Dumplings: A boring dish. The dough was very thick, and the filling was dry and bland. 3- Tuna Truffle: Good flavors, but the tuna was overcooked and cut into thick chunks. 4- Two Time Tuna Roll: One of the best rolls I've ever had. It was delicious, the tuna portion was good, and the accompanying sauce was satisfying. 5- Rock 'n' Roll: A good dish suitable for most tastes. It was good, but nothing special. Overall, I didn't like the restaurant, even though it's popular and has many awards. The menu is eye-catching and delicious, but the execution isn't the best.

10/10 We had the Bib Gourmand Menu with Sushi and every single bite was delightful.

Everything here was 5 stars. We showed up with no reservation and they had a table we could have for an hour and I’m so happy we took it. Each item that came out was better than the next. The golden har Kua had a great presentation and even better taste. I was skeptical of the flaming sake roll since I don’t like sake, and I was sad we only ordered a half roll. The rock and roll roll was incredible- the combo of flavors was just perfect. The Cambodian basil beef was so good. The meat was cooked medium rare, and the flavors with the dipping sauce was heavenly. The ribeye foie gras nigiri was incredible. We also had little chicken wraps that were excellent as well. To drink we had their own beer which was so smooth. Service was excellent- all the servers helped each other and you were never without a drink if you didn’t want to be. Food came times perfectly.

Yet, unfortunately, it was not at the expected standards. Food was fine, but the flavours were not there. Both the tuna tataki and nigiri we tried were not tasty at all; the rice was tasteless, and the tuna was dry, while it was clear that both were not well executed. Dumplings were doughy, and we couldn’t even get the taste of the inside filling. The pork gyoza were fine. However, we loved the spider sushi; it was unique and really tasty! The curry shrimp dish was good and tasty as well. They offer a wide variety of options for food, yet we think trying out their sushi menu could be a better choice. Worth to mention that all plates were well presented. Additionally, they only have one choice of glass for each wine type, so if you want any other wine, you should order a bottle; you can’t have it as a glass. Something that felt off was the “share dining” concept, which was mentioned at the start. How can you share when each plate is coming one by one, with sometimes more than 10 minutes difference? Moreover, since you share, why should you wait for the last course in order to receive the rice, which is a side dish? The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our time, but the food & concept did not satisfy our expectations from this place.

A-Fusion in Amsterdam impresses with its refined ambiance and elegant decor, perfectly in keeping with its Asian inspiration, creating an ideal setting for a pleasant meal. The majority of the dishes, with their refined and well-executed flavors, were excellent. The only slight drawback was the fried crab, whose meat was somewhat lost in the frying, preventing one from fully appreciating its delicate flavor. And be warned about the chilies that accompany it. Despite this, the experience remains extremely positive and highly recommended. Enjoy!

Just amazing... Already looking forward to my next trip to Amsterdam, just for this restaurant...

The first time around we came we didn’t have a reservation as we was not sure we needed one. We made a reservation and was happy with the outcome. The waiter was very helpful when I informed him that I am pregnant and that me and hubby don’t eat pork. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos this time (we tried to enjoy ourselves) but we had the sticky chicken, chicken roll from the sushi menu, egg fried rice and the Kani salad. Worth the visit and the prices were great considering it’s a Michelin starred restaurant.

The service here was unbelievably harsh. I had booked a table for two for my birthday and even traveled from another city by train to Amsterdam just to have a special dinner at this restaurant. Unfortunately, my friend couldn’t make it, so I arrived alone. I was shown to my table, seated, and had already ordered food and a drink when a waitress noticed I was dining alone. She then told me they needed the table for guests arriving in pairs and asked me to move to the bar, where only one cramped seat was left. I politely asked if I could keep my table, but was told no. She asked me to move to the bar and have my meal there until 9pm when it was already 8:40pm and I didn’t even receive a single dish. As someone who also works in the service industry, I was shocked. It’s disheartening to see a business prioritize maximizing revenue and table turnover over basic hospitality and customer experience. Thank you for turning what should have been a special 30th birthday into a deeply disappointing one.
