Afhaalcentrum Tai Wah Rotterdam in Delfshaven

People who order takeout and then complain that a dish tastes different than what they're used to... come on! Their authentic recipes are the reason I come here. And if I'm craving a different kind of nasi, I'll just go somewhere else. Otherwise, the staff are always friendly, and the food is delicious as always.

I ordered Nasi Singapore today, and it's a dish I've had before (just not at Tai Wat). And I have to be honest, this is the worst Nasi Singapore I've ever had. The nasi wasn't cooked properly... it seemed a bit soggy. Really not good!! And I had to give it one star... if it were up to me, I wouldn't have given it a star at all. A real waste of money!!

I think this takeaway has been around for 23 years. And for me, it's still the best takeaway sandwich in the Netherlands. I still regularly travel quite a distance just to get a sandwich here. If you want better sandwiches, you'll have to go to Suriname! The tjauw siew and pom sandwiches are highly recommended. The nasi and tjauw min are good, as is the rest of the menu. And when I see the owner cooking, I immediately order a nasi or tjauw min moksi. If the wait is long, walk straight across the street, because that's where the main attraction is: the shawarma shop where the kapsalon was invented. I don't give 5 stars easily, but this takeaway definitely deserves it! Update: July 24, 2025. I still come here regularly for food, and yesterday I had another wow moment: the food still tastes the same as it did 28 years ago when this place opened. A super sweet couple who always provide great service. Keep it up, Tai Wah.

I've been going there for years and the food has never been bad. The previous review is completely off the mark; two nasi and a spring roll for €75.00 is simply unheard of. I think they've been somewhere else, but not at Tai Wah. At Tai Wah, they have the most delicious rolls, and the food is always 100% excellent.

Eren had little taste, the next day only pimples from the impurity.. bottle of water ordered is filled with tap water so the bottle is reused cola same. When indicating it was said do you want it or not otherwise away. Filthy food shed, looking for good food and the next day no diarrhea and pimples? Don't go here. 75 euros for 2 nasi and spring rolls.

Sandwiches are not normally tasty

As always delicious sandwiches and tjaw min, among other things. Very sweet and customer friendly.

They have delicious Surinamese and Chinese dishes and sandwiches here. They once won a prize for this.

So that was tasty! I ate this Erasmus 5 years ago in the hospital when I was pregnant with my little girl. Today in the neighborhood I told my husband we are going to get that there and there. So no regrets. And the little one was shoving whole hands inside. That means it was really tasty! Oh yes and it was a lot too...super portions

This is the tastiest Chinese Surinamese takeaway in Rotterdam. Chow Minh and nasi chicken are recommended. On site they only have 3 tables for eating. If you don't go during rush hour, it's fine. Super nice people, always very friendly and the service is always top notch. Thanks Tai Wah.

Top meals and the best Surinamese sandwiches in Rotterdam

The chicken curry sandwich is highly recommended, I was there yesterday but I was shocked by the price, previously I came there more often but only 4.20 for a sandwich! If you haven't been there for a while, they have raised the prices again. Quite a shame, the food is good, but they are getting higher and higher when it comes to prices. And if people keep paying this, they will continue to do so. hallway

Fine and affordable. I come here often, I like to stop by every now and then for a snack. Employees are friendly and provide good service.

Been coming there for years (since 2004) to eat when it was okay (Surinam nasi chicken). Yesterday again. Specially nasi chicken. Nothing special about a bowl of travel and a chicken leg. The spoke was BITTER (how???). Thirsty all evening. Very bad, a disappointment for the 4th or 5th time in a row.

Ordered a chow mein kip, it was good. Chicken was slightly dry, for roast chicken. I also ordered koe loe kai & I was REALLY disappointed with it. It was more flour than chicken and the chicken was really salty. I end up throwing away the food.

Hele aardige mensen, maar bestel hier geen Gado gado, het heeft geen smaak.

Haal hier altijd broodjes, er is veel verschillende keuze, maar je kan nooit mis met een broodje kip kerrie. Meestal met extra sambal, maar daar moet je wel naar vragen. Portiegrootte is heel mooi voor de prijs. Haal af een toe grote garnaal nasi en babi pangang met rijst. En bakjes zitten mooi vol. Als je niet wilt wachten in de winkel, kan je hier 30 min van te voren bellen zodat je eten klaarstaat als je aankomt en meteen kan betalen en meenemen.

Dit is echt een super tentje, klein niet echt gezellig binnen maar het eten is geweldig. Ga hierheen voor de Moksi en de loempia gevuld met hete kip echt een aanrader.

Broodje kip kerrie is best of the best

Op aanraden van velen mensen om mijn heen ben in hier terecht gekomen. We werden direct geholpen door een vriendelijke jongeman en dame. Ik nam de Loempia Tai Wah en heb ook de moksie metie geproefd. De porties zijn groot en smaken ook goed. Maar moet wel zeggen dat ik het niet per se beter vind dan ander soortgelijke tokos.

Beste van de hele wereld. Ik weet 100% zeker dat er in de gehele wereld niet lekkerdere en meer juicy broodjes zijn dan in deze toko.

Altijd vriendelijke mensen die daar werken. En het eten is heerlijk!!!

Ik bestel altijd Tjauwmin Moksi Meti. Altijd vriendelijk en vlot geholpen en de Tjauwmin moksi meti is hier lekker! Voor de Tjauwmin liefhebber een aanrader. Je voelt je ook thuis als Surinamer.

Ik had een broodje geroosterd spek besteld. Broodje zag er opzich goed uit en wel gevuld. Alleen qua smaak proefde ik niets; geen ketjap, geen geroosterde smaak. Niets. Jammer, was na jaren weer eens hier. De zaak zelf mag ook wel een update krijgen.

Dit eetzaakje is niet verkeerd. Telo met vis en sambal is altijd lekker. Broodjes zitten goed vol en zijn goed van smaak. Wel jammer dat ik bij grote bestellingen geen kroepoek mee krijg.
