Afhaalcentrum Warung Melati in Rotterdam Centrum

Delicious vegetarian options! Very quick service and fresh food. Not sure why the overall rating is low, wondering if it’s changed hands and some of the bad reviews are old. In any case, as of fall 2026, I can definitely recommend this place for a quick and healthy meal on one of the hippest areas of Rotterdam

I used to think warung was okay, but this was absolutely inedible. The bara was dry and just tasted like bread with a curry that was very salty but didn't have a real curry flavor. The dyna sandwich was mediocre… if you are Surinamese/Indonesian, I wouldn't get takeout here.

Favorite spot to get or eat a Soto Soup. Came back after some years to get some Roti Chicken for take away and ate a Soto Soup there. I have to say they have maintained the same quality as before. Love it💖

It feels like a betrayal to say anything bad about an 010 icon like Warung Mini. But the Moksi metti was simply awful. Not bad, but certainly not tasty. Very little meat, hardly any vegetables, and prepared without love and crammed into an overflowing bowl of nasi. I don't get it. Go to De Kade or Warung Melati and you'll get what you want. Warung Mini is for tourists, not locals.

Chicken liver sandwich and Char Siu sandwich, but that hot meat was good too.

The quality is far below par. I'm Surinamese myself, and the food isn't very flavorful. Too much sugar and too much salt. The petjil is bland and the portions are minimal.

This time the food was much better than three weeks ago. I had a fresh vegetarian pom roll and a veggie satay soup. Both were delicious. The baka bana and coconut pancakes weren't made very well. There was too much dough around the baka bana and very little banana. When they asked if I liked it, I honestly said I did and immediately received a new baka bana with more banana for free. Thank you for the excellent service!

Food is ready within 10-20 minutes usually and always delicious. I usually take tempeh roti

Other Warung had longer waiting so hopped in here, thinking it’s the same. Was a bit shocked of the 2.3 rating. But the guys were nice, wait was not to long. Kicked some freeloaders from a table outside and cleaned it and served me my souto soup. Soup was great for the 9.25 - rice on the side, well filled with dry, not greasy chicken. So the 2.3 is not how I perceived it. A 4.0 is my experience.

Had to wait forty-five minutes, other people were let in front. Food way too salty, not fresh. Door that doesn't close properly, napkins blowing away. Too bad because Surinamese is a delicious cuisine. Grumpy staff who don't apologize
