Ali Baba Grillroom in Zuid

We've been coming to Grillroom Alibaba for years. In the beginning, they were absolutely fantastic; tender meat, a delicious marinade, good portions, and a great price. But unfortunately, things have only gone downhill in recent years, especially the spare ribs. The quality simply isn't what it used to be. The spare ribs are now too fatty and increasingly cold. The marinade (which used to be so delicious) has almost disappeared. This weekend was the final straw: the spare ribs were bone dry, warm, but completely flavorless. The price has also gone up considerably. What once cost €12 is now €23.50. Honestly, it's just not worth it anymore. The fries were also a disaster; greasy, as if they'd absorbed all the frying fat like a sponge. They smelled and tasted like stale frying fat. You don't do that on a weekend getaway. The smell alone was enough to spoil your appetite. And another small thing, but so incomprehensible and incredibly frustrating. Every time we came here, the hand soap was clearly diluted with water. Why on earth would you dilute the hand soap? Is it stinginess? It certainly feels cheap, and it's completely unhygienic, especially not in a restaurant. It pains us so much to write this, because we enjoyed eating here for years; it was almost a bit of nostalgia for us. But today we decided: this was the last time. It's a shame it has to end like this, but it's not what it once was... Best, Ommo.

I've tried a lot of shawarma places over the years, but recently I've had it delivered by Alie Baba. It's a delicious sandwich, nicely cut into small pieces and prepared with care, a real compliment. The delivery took a bit longer, but next time it will be better. It's definitely recommended to eat from this place from J Bakker adm de Ruiterlaan.

Bij Ashraf Mahdy zit je altijd goed. Zijn zaak is altijd netjes, fris en schoon en geen bestelling is hem teveel. Neem bijvoorbeeld zoals ik, de grote shoarma of kipfilet menu schotel. Wat je allemaal voor lekkers daarbij krijgt zoals de rauwkost en knoflook, uien en of de sambalsaus of allemaal, (die maakt Ashraf zelf) is altijd 100% van kwaliteit, zeer smaakvol en perfect geserveerd met frietjes als je in zijn zaak eet of mee naar huis neemt... Ik zeg : gewoon doen !!!

Prima tent. Shoarma en dergelijke. Goedkoop.

Prima eten. Had een shoarma schotel, de mini versie. Ruim genoeg voor de normale eter. Vlees goed doorbakken en toch mals. Groente en frietjes goed en vers. Bij binnenkomst is de eerste indruk niet zo, maar het eten en de bediening maken dit zeker goed. Normaal geprijsd. Was met kennis samen inclusief drankjes nog geen 40 euro kwijt.

Slechte bezorging ( eerst een deel. Later de rest welke niet echt meer warm was). Alles bij elkaar gegooid in een zak. De olie droop over alles. Pitabroodje niet geleverd en sausjes waren ook niet compleet.
