Delicious food, nice service and nice decoration

Stopped in for a warm drink mid-morning; we were the only ones there. Mint tean and coffee. Luca was wonderful. Looks like an interesting place with a lot of seating and varieties of food and drinks.

Me and my mum got food poisoned after both eating a Caesar salad here.

Worst place I have ever eaten!!!

The online Theatre Menu hasn't been updated yet and was reduced a lot, so dont be set on the menu. The steak isn't amazing, it's not horrible but by the time the waiter got it to me it had gotten cold. You can find better elsewhere, especially for the price. The same goes for the deserts. The servers were innatentive, and I had to keep getting their attention to be able to order and for them to get me my order. They mixed up the wine order and gave me a more expensive bottle by accident. The waitress that took the order reimbursed me for the mistake, but the manager blamed me for not being attentive to what bottle the waitress brought. Overall, the place along with the atmosphere is better for a bar than a restaurant. If you want a nice meal in Amsterdam, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Great spot for a beer or coffee. A nice view next to the canal. Ordering at your table using the website ordering is very convenient

Basic food for a big price not even that good

Only go here for drinks and/or food if you have too much money and don't value socializing. While enjoying loud crappy music you can get weak fries with a Belgian beer for the unlikely sum of €12.50; the rest of the menu is also extremely expensive. The boy behind the bar was friendly but did not make up for the disappointment.

Friendly waitresses, fresh ingredients, topical dutch , properly made buffet food in a nice cafe/bar atmosphere with a great city view.

Nice sunny terrace overlooking the Amstel, good drinks. The online ordering via QR code is nice and handy, but service is slowed down as a consequence (even though everything is already paid at the order stage).

Price-quality ratio poor. Way too expensive for a lukewarm reheated meal. Service slow and not listening well. Interesting that many reviews are the same but apparently nothing has changed. Time to deliver on the promised improvements? We will definitely not be back.

The place is beautiful, especially when the day is sunny and you can enjoy the terrace. But unfortunately the service was terrible. We ordered through the qr and paid. After that we waited for a long time until a staff member came up to say that they didn't have the type of coffee we ordered. We changed the order. We went to the bar to complain about it, they had no idea of what we have order, and they even answer in a really disrespectful way. WE WAITED LITERALLY HALF AN HOUR for a beer and a coffee. The worst of all is that they brought us the food in the middle of that time, without having any kind of drink. We were also disappointed that no one tried to improve our experience by offering to heat our food or give us something else. Very unsatisfactory!

Great view, but otherwise a sad dining experience. You order via your smartphone and pay in advance. The portions are small and the prices are high, the food itself is delicious, but half of the online menu was “sold out” - and half an hour later we see at the next table, where people are refusing to use the online system, that the “sold out”. “-Dishes can still be ordered. That disappointed us.

Came here while walking through the city. Hannah and especially Gerda made such a fun and great environment and also recommended not only food but fun tourists places to visit. These two girls are crucial to how enjoy life and this company is run. I want the owner to know, your lucky to have them. Gerda is so wise and informative.. Well done guys, keep doing what you do

I had a great lunch, the food was tasty and I didn't have to wait too long. The QR code on the table did not work, so I had to use the menu card.

We sat down to have a drink, well located. The only thing is that they don't pay much attention to you, it seems that you can only place the order by reading the QR and doing it through the web. Little contact with the waiter. Good atmosphere and good views.

You have to order via your smartphone and pay via credit card at the same time before you even see the food or drink. Instead of a 0.5 l beer, a 0.3 l glass is served at a price that is steep. Then we just drank and didn't eat.

Of the three drinks we had chosen, all three were not available and the QR codes did not work either. But they themselves were not to blame, that was Sligro.

Not the best experience. No attention from staff. After a while I asked for a menu card. We were not told that we had to order via smartphone. After we finally did that, it took a long time for drinks and food to arrive. Burata salad was tasty but very minimal.

Top tent in one of the ugliest buildings in Amsterdam....but with a view of a beautiful part of Amsterdam. Tastefully decorated, lovely terrace.

Rude waitress and mediocre food. Skip this restaurant and enjoy good food somewhere else. The waitress was giving us attitude and was reluctant to accommodate a few extra people at our table while the restaurant was empty! The way she spoke to our table was unacceptable. I see other Google reviews also mention a rude waitress. Why is she still working there if she’s treating customers like dirt?! She was also nowhere to be found to order. We had to look for her multiple times. Є17 for a piece of cheese with 2 slices of tomato and a handful of arugula. I make better salads at home.

Ate here with colleagues. A colleague had ordered the loaded fries. This was great and a lot. What was only extremely bad was the quantity of the salad. 16.50 for a buratta salad. This is not a problem, but it is when you see the attached photo. 3 slices of tomato, 10 leaves of lettuce and a buratta. This is just an appetizer and not a salad. Certainly not for that amount. Reported it to the service and they did nothing with it other than reporting it. Pity!

Decent kitchen Service a bit slow... Beautiful view of the canals!

Perfect spot to drop in and grab a bite! The staff is friendly, the beer is cold, the service is prompt, and the food is tasty. Oh, and the river view is amazing. We got a few beer and some appetizers. Everything was just what we needed. We will happily stop back in when wandering through the neighborhood again

We had drinks here. The place is big and you don’t get a lot of personal attention, don’t expect much from the service. Cocktails were mediocre, but at least price was fair. If your goal is to get a couple of quick drinks it’s okay, but if you’re seeking for a proper bar experience this is not the place.

Very strange that management has the policy to make customers pay immediately after ordering. It feels that they default to distrusting clients - not exactly welcoming. Besides, it discourages to order more or to leave a tip. We now tipped before getting our food. Strange right? But the food and atmosphere were fine and staff was friendly.

Came with a group of twenty guests. Amazing location near the Rembrandthuis museum and outdoor market. The views of the Amstel river, bridges, boats and architecture are like postcards. I ordered beer, Bitterballs and frites. Our group had salads, various sandwiches mostly. We all loved the food. Service was good. prices were reasonable. I would go back for sure, and plan to!

This is simply not that good in terms of service, friendliness, etc. Not that it was busy or because of the stress, occupancy when ordering a simple black coffee I think 10-15% and sufficient staff. Still a handy toilet stop for while sailing 😅

Bad Service from waiter. Distant. Ordered a oatmilk and a cappuccino via the qr system, she brought a cap oath and blamed the system rudely when confronted. Will not come back ever. Local from Amsterdam.

0 stars, serving a theater menu much too late so that you arrive late for the performance and being treated extremely rudely by the staff. Never again.

Impersonal system via QR code. System rejected the order the first 3 times. Staff did not take action. Tourists next to us left without consuming anything. After QR scan all texts in Dutch. Finally placed an order via QR. Waited 15 minutes. Didn't receive an order. Arrived on time. Walked in and staff members seemed irritated. After waiting another 10 minutes we received the order. Ordering was simple. 2 drinks. Shame! The location is beautiful.

Nice location, but that is the only positive thing about this tent. Service is bad, atmosphere is bad, meatball quality is bad. When paying, there were 2 portions on the bill while we had only ordered and received 1 (fortunately not anymore). Never go there again.

We wanted to order two beers, walked to the bar after ten minutes, but we had to wait for staff at our table. After a while a lady came and told us we had to order our beer via an app, we asked why she couldn't just get us two beers, after a lot of grumbling and a lecture they finally got our drinks. Worthless, corona is over, right? 4.50 euros for a beer, staff who don't speak English, I'm used to that now, but don't just take an order, Amsterdam where are you going?

Horrible; After the drinks and food were taken by a nice lady, it was a big disappointment. While it really wasn't busy, it was very quiet, we saw our order waiting for 10 minutes before it was delivered. In the meantime, every now and then we see a hand taking some of the fries we ordered. One dish is missing, we then have to inform the service that this dish is also ready. Then the food may taste good; unfortunately, it wasn't tasty, really. Fine for a drink if you're not in a hurry, but DO NOT eat here

We came for a quick drink on the terrace. Nice seats with cushions and blankets and heaters. Great place, although the selection of beers felt limited.

We had a group dinner on Friday and it was really great. The staff was very friendly, helpful and extremely hospitable. The food was good and all guests enjoyed it. They wanted to give us an unforgettable experience and even allowed us to dance to Greek music & throw plates the Greek way. Big compliments!

we were having a nice aperitif until a little girl pretending to be manager destroyed everything. zero professionalism. Reminder: it s a hospitality business not a supermarket.

When we first arrived we had already heard the woman behind the bar be unfriendly to customers twice. When our drinks arrived she informed me that I didn't get a straw with my cocktail, because then she had to walk downstairs. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I left it at that. Then we were already waiting for our food when they came to report that our order had been lost "due to the crowds" (it was not busy). Then we ran out of ingredients for our food so we had to choose something else. The food was fine, but certainly not special and not very hot.

Bad service, they just couldn't look away. It all took a very long time and when our food finally arrived it was completely wrong. To several grumpy looks after we said something about this, their response was 'we don't have it, so you have to make do with this' There is a thick dried layer on the aioli, the bitterballen are fried twice and so on... in short, DON'T COME HERE! Waste of your time and money

Unfortunately a 1. We were not received despite the reservation, the staff was apparently busy with something else. After waiting 20 minutes, we walked up to the waiter with our order. The coffee still came, but after more than 45 minutes the ordered croquettes with bread had still not appeared at the table, despite repeated apologies from the staff. Ended up leaving with an empty stomach. The employees tried, but running a full business with four people (some of them clearly inexperienced) is simply not possible, and also something for the owner to look at.

What terribly bad service. No one comes up to you to show you your table. We had to ask for the menu. We had to call someone to take the order. Then the drinks didn't come. We had to ask again. There were four of us. Only three dishes arrived. When the fourth finally came, that dish was lukewarm. Pretty crazy for an oven dish. There were only four tables occupied, but the staff didn't spare anyone a glance. When clearing the table, we were not asked if we had enjoyed it. We didn't get a dessert menu either. When we finally went to order, we couldn't order our dessert. Then asked for the bill. There were three people working on the bill. Because the person who had taken the order and scribbled it down on a beer mat had already left. The portions are also small. And a lot of ice is added to a glass of soda. Very disappointing experience. The restaurant asked for a review. If I enter this, an incorrect total score is returned. We had our dessert elsewhere. This is typically a place where people think: customers will come for the location. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Tegenwoordig heet het Amstel 1 , de zaak is geheel verbouwd, ziet er goed uit. Koffie,gebak, gerechten zijn goed . Helaas moet je geen haast hebben . Nu 2 keer geweest . Personeel holt langs je heen .maar ziet je niet. Na ruim 15 minuten kunnen we eindelijk de bestelling doorgeven. Ruim 20 minuten later kwam de bestelling. 2 koffie en 2 appelgebak Ze hebben nog niet door dat ze naast de stopera zitten en de mensen toch een klein beetje haast hebben .voor een voorstelling nog even iets eten of drinken kost je echt minimaal 45 minuten en die heeft men vaak niet. Het zou prettig zijn als hier eens goed naar wordt gekeken

Great place with a nice location and lots to see. However, the cappuccinos we ordered were totally different and disappointing. Even after requesting a replacement for one, the second one was still not up to par. Hope they improve their coffee quality.

Prima eten, maar het versleten interieur doet afbreuk aan het gevoel van gezellig uit eten.

De service was goed. Helaas warme chocomelk uit machine. vind dat echt jammer voor zo'n locatie.

Bestellung sowie direkte Bezahlung online, Service anschließend etwas gedauert aber hat gepasst. Bier ist in Ordnung gewesen und die Snacks (Fast Food) waren auch okay. Alles in Allem mir der Lage durchaus zu empfehlen.
