Lovely restaurant, rustic decor, fast and efficient service, very good. The appetizer and main course were simply superb! The dessert is also highly recommended; a fantastic restaurant for those who appreciate small but exquisite atmospheres. We would definitely come back :-)

I had the Spaghetti alla chitarra with garlic, olive oil and pistachios and it’s just absolutely lovely, cannot be more simple but it’s just what I want. I love that they give a piece of a very good bread next to it so I can clean up the plate completely. They have the best espresso I have ever tasted.

the people working there are very sweet and do an amazing job, the atmosphere is relaxed and homie and there’s a plenty of tables. the food tasted great. try the ravioli ai porcini please, crazy good. italian-approved ;)

Good evening, I had an unpleasant experience today. The food (pasta) wasn't cooked properly. I reported it to the server. The manager said, "You'll have new pasta in 4 minutes." After 5 minutes, the food arrived, with recooked pasta and no sauce on the pasta. I then reported it to the server. The manager said we were always trying to get a discount. Terrible. The manager stood up for the employee, and this restaurant, stay far away, folks.

The staff was great, and the main course was ok! At the end, I ordered a Panna Cotta, and it was impossible to eat it. It was kind of butter and cream, mixed together and served, it really affected my experience there. The Pasta was okish.

Food was average, slightly overpriced for the quality received. Very limited drink selection for a pastabar. Service was friendly, but slow. Terrace is lovely though.

Delicious! And affordable. 15 euros for a fantastic pasta with pepper and garlic. Very tasty. A generous portion, too. My friend had pasta with clams. Also very good! Merel, the waitress, is very nice!

Simply delicious pasta. The pasta with guanciale was perhaps the best pasta I've ever had. The staff was also friendly, and there was free tap water. My only criticism is that the menu changes constantly, so I couldn't order the pasta with guanciale again when I returned.

Food is sometimes not at the right temperature. The best spaghetti is the veg.

Fresh and tasty pasta, cooked to perfection and very well prepared. A large portion to satisfy an adult. Attentive service, excellent food. We ordered bruschetta as a starter, gnocchi with shrimp, and spaghetti with olive oil, garlic, and pistachios. We recommend it!

The service wasn't very attentive. The truffle ravioli didn't taste like truffles... it wasn't very good. We sat outside... dry thanks to the large parasol!

I had a surprisingly delicious meal here yesterday (spaghetti, arugula, fennel, verdure miste). The dishes looked good, were of good quality, and tastefully prepared, with delicious flavors and a good proportion. The salads/vegetables were balanced, which I don't often find. The cannolo wasn't overly sweet, but was well-balanced. It even had a touch of powdered sugar, which added a little something extra (I usually treat it as garnish). According to the staff, it was homemade. The service was also very pleasant; I don't understand why people sometimes complain about that; I didn't see or experience anything unusual.

Ate in Amsterdam-Oost and was served all evening by the most cheerful and friendly people, I even asked their names afterwards. Thanks Merel and Kenji!

Lovely evening on the terrace. The service is really great - they do everything to make you feel at home! We like to come here, until the next time :)

The pasta was freshly made and incredibly flavorful. The Bruschetta here is also worth a try. We had the Arrabbiata with a larger portion, as recommended by our server and it was definitely worth it. They also have a great selection of white beers. The staff were kind and attentive; we were even treated to complimentary limoncello shots at the end, which was such a lovely surprise.

Waited for 30 minutes to order on a casual not busy Monday 7.30 pm. Order was not noted correctly nor with a notepad. Appetizer didn’t come, instead the wrong pasta arrived already. And this happened after another 20 minutes after ordering. Finally after another 20 minutes, by then we have been sitting there for 70 minutes without what we ordered. We told the waiter we are leaving as the waiting on top of the mistakes were absurd. I had to go back again right after to pick up my jacket. The other waiter told me even though it’s there mistake I should have told them we were leaving. Apparently our departure was not even communicated by the previous waiter. There’s just so many things went wrong in the system and it’s really a shame for the name of the franchise. No apologies, no remedies. Absolutely sad experience to ruin the night.

Waited 1h to get not even the starters, so we left. The place was not crowded at all, but the restaurant is being run by the usual inexperienced kids, with complete lack of training and coordination.

Good pasta! Suggestion: adding more interesting vegetarian options on the menu would be welcomed.

The pasta is always great. The service is also really nice. I’ve been to several spaghetteria restaurants and there’s always a different menu, I don’t know if it changes based on location or it’s seasonal but I really enjoying eating something new every time I go. And can’t forget to mention the amazing quality you get for the price, it’s unbeatable.

Generally a bad experience - especially in terms of the service. This review pains me a bit, as the food was actually pretty good. However, I feel like the service was bad enough to ruin. The experience. Now I’m gonna go on a rant about what happened in our particular case; The service was horrendous. The waiter started out forgetting the order because they hadn’t brought a notepad - fair enough. They didn’t give or take menucards either, we took some ourselves from a table next to ours. Not the end of the world… After a reasonable wait, we got the first 3 plates for a table of six, nice! However, we had to wait 10 minutes for the other 3 plates, meaning that the first 3 plates were practically cold before we could start eating together. They then proceeded to serve wine by placing 6 glasses in the middle of the table, we had to distribute them ourselves - no biggie. When the food came one of them was the wrong one - if that is the kitchen or waiters fault I do not know. They didn’t bring the water we asked for, so we went up all the way to the back of the restaurant by the kitchen, where both waiters were chatting, and reminded them of the water we ordered. They brought a bottle og water but only 2 glasses for a table of six. We had to go into the back of the restaurant again and ask for the rest, and once again they just placed them on the table. We also had to ask again, for the red wine we had ordered. The waiter didn’t check on us the entirety of the experience. Mind you that there was only 2 tables with customers, I don’t wanna know how the service is when they’re actually bussy.

I had made a reservation for 15 people, but in the end there were 10 of us. Fortunately, because the large table was occupied by four people. I think they forgot about us. The high table with 2 people turned upside down was difficult. The atmosphere is good and the service was very nice and good, but I think they were under staffed for Thursday evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food very good. We had bruschetta, buratta, eggplant biscuits and meat biscuits. For the main courses I ate pasta al ragu and gnocchi, both of which were super tasty! Finally, we were offered a delicious limoncello and we had delicious tiramisu and a tasty affogato. Everyone had a delicious meal. Highly recommended for a pleasant evening of dining with good food.

Besides the fact that you can enjoy delicious food and drinks here in the evenings, you can now also join Spaghetteria Javaplein during the day to work with concentration. I would like to work flexibly here for an afternoon.

Delicious pasta, good atmosphere, attentive service

Spacious restaurant and nice setting at the large tables. Pasta was perfectly al dente and well seasoned. Portion a bit on the small side. Desserts: the Cannolos tasted a bit cardboardy and the Tiramisù wasn't really a wow. Tap water was spontaneously placed on the table. Service was correct, although you do feel that you are eating in a 'concept'.

Good place for a meal without surprises. The pasta is good and I can only recommend it. We also tried the burrata with tomatoes (not great as you can imagine but normal for tomatoes grown in the Netherlands). We liked that the portions are medium, no waste here! The terrace is way nicer than inside. Overall good experience.

The Food was good and the waiter was really helpfull and kind.

We were there late in the evening and it was fairly quiet. I don't know what it's like when it's full because you're sitting close to each other, I think. The food was tasty, especially the tagliatelle with prawns. Wine excellent and service fast and friendly. We'll be back.

It was quite busy for a Tuesday evening. The food was OK, pasta well al dente. However, a lot of pistachio and a little too little oil in one of the dishes. In my opinion, investments should be made in a better music system/boxes. Now it sounded quite shrill to my ears and that was not very pleasant. Otherwise fine. We took 1 drink and 1 pasta per person.

We were here on a team outing. At first we thought it would be sliding tables, but they also have a very large and beautiful table. A real family table ;-) Nice staff and delicious food. Nice and cozy in the neighborhood.

Funny place, nice people too, but the service was a bit poor. All drinking glasses were dirty and not cleaned properly. When we ordered water and received more water glasses, this was also the case with those drinking glasses. I ended up cleaning my glass myself. It also smelled really bad, we sat outside and an exhaust smell kept passing by. The food was otherwise okay, but I wouldn't necessarily repeat it.

The food was alright but it wasn’t an exceptional culinary experience. I thought the waiters could have been slightly friendlier, there was nothing negative in their behaviour, but also not particularly kind.

A good place to eat some international Italian dishes. Great service and good atmosphere. The pasta is slightly over cooked to adapt to local taste though but acceptable.

Service is poor, I come here often and at first I thought that might happen once in a while, but in recent weeks it has already gone wrong a few times. It is quiet but no employee walks by so you can order some more drinks. In addition, staff walk without a tray to serve coffee without a saucer, spoon or sugar. And then you ask for sugar, the sugar container is very dirty on the outside, I would not dare to serve this to the customer. The service has deteriorated significantly in recent weeks. I think the clerks need some training. The food is still good though!

Ate here for the first time yesterday with my son. My son ate a macaroni with tomato sauce and I had the gnocchi with shrimp. Within 2 hours my son got a terrible stomach ache and was also very nauseous. Today he has been sick at home all day with diarrhea. I also have extreme diarrhea since this morning!! First and last time!

Pasta with pieces of sausage was very poor. I think it contains a quarter of a sausage if not less, with small pieces of vegetables for €18.50. Didn't have much taste either. A few years ago you got almost double the amount and it was tastier

Ordered the ravioli with Gorgonzola which turned out to be a nightmare for me in the evening as I got food poisoning. Spent two days sick in bed with puking and diarrhoea. Mentioned this to the service who promised to get in touch with me for a refund etc. Nobody had the courtesy to get in touch with me since. Never again. You’ll be in “better hands” on the opposite side at Badhuis.

Unfortunately a very bad experience. The food is okay, but the service brought the whole experience down. Always order yourself at the bar. The service on the terrace was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps too busy in the restaurant, but there appeared to be no one there. There was no running of trays, so the drinks didn't arrive at the same time. The clerk even made the comment: I only have two hands, as he clutched a bottle of Peroni in his armpit. The table was not cleared, no upselling was done, but our candle was lit. When paying (only inside/not at the table), the clerk was eating at the bar with a hat on. Shame on the catering industry. Not to be repeated.

The best Italian restaurant we've been to, the service is fast and the gorgonzola ravioli is excellent, I won't forget them, we did other Italian which was disappointing.

As lovers of Italian cuisine, we enjoyed the pasta at Spaghetteria Caffè in Amsterdam. The decor is fresh and cozy, the pasta fresh and perfectly cooked and the sauces rich in flavor. The portion size was very generous. We look forward to coming back and trying more dishes from their extensive menu 😋

Really busy and had to get our servers attention a few times but they were super nice and the food was great. The homemade desserts were awesome.

Frutti di mare were really good. But there are only 6 dishes and none of them was bolognese.

Ravioli/pasta was tasty, salads substandard. There was an incredible sewage smell, so halfway through the evening we moved to the front of the restaurant where it was less smelly but freezing. Instead of apologizing, the wait staff was offended that something was said about it, a bit of a world upside down I think! Shame.

Had a very special experience here. Came here by myself at open (5pm) on a slow Monday early evening, it was nice having the whole place to myself. The sun was setting as I sat by the window soaking up the last of the sun. Service was great and the vibe was cozy. I had the limoncello spritz aperitif, parpadelle ragu main, glass of rosé, and tiramisu. The whole experience was surreal, it felt like I was in a movie. 11/10 would go back.

Fast, delicious, simple but great. Any place they give you a delicious hunk of bread to finish your sauce with gets extra points.

I recently went to Spaghetteria to have coffee. Tasted a delicious tiramisu. And asked for a business card, because I wanted to eat here again with my wife at a later time. I was mainly struck by the beautiful tables that you have chosen for the restaurant where I would like to sit in thoughts with my loved one.

We were staying near by and tried here for pasta and were not disappointed. Staff were polite and helpful. The food was delicious and the portions just the right size. Very decently priced too. Next time we come back we will definitely be returning

Lekkere pasta, heerlijke cocktails en dessert ook zalig! De service is elke keer weer fijn, voelt als thuiskomen! Terras buiten ruim en verwarmd, maar binnen is het ook heel gezellig.
