Food was just taken away without asking for anything. This was a one-time thing, never again.

Delicious food, worth repeating

All you can eat restaurants with many food options to choose from, from starters, to mains and desserts. They also offer the opportunity to choose fresh meat and vegetables and have them grilled or made as fresh wok with the sauce of your choice. Beverages (soft drinks, tea, coffee, beer and wine) included in the price. Even though they offer large variety of food, it is always fresh.

One of the best (if not the best) Halal all you can eat open buffet. Clean venue, delicious food, diverse cuisine are the perfect combination to enjoy a dinner. Not my first time, and it definitely won't be the last.

Lots of choice, but just too busy on weekends. Long waits at the grill station, for example, and queues for various dishes. And then there is a specific time slot. It is literally a case of cramming in and getting out.

Great all-you-can-eat restaurant. It is not much different from other buffet restaurants.

This is the best restaurant in the concept of “All You Can Eat” because they do not have system of ordering every ~10 mins or to be limited with “rounds”. Instead they have huge open buffet with unlimited food selection. You can find any food you like (not only Asian, but also they have pizza/nuggets/french fries). What I like the most is that drinks are included in price which is very rare for the restaurant like this. They also have coffee machine, and tea section. Amazing variety of sweets including fruits and 12 floors of ice cream, also you can order from live-section freshly made pancakes and waffles. All food is very fresh, it feels in every bite. I appreciate the quality of food and fast service (tables were cleaned up quickly). The atmosphere is just wonderful. Huge area, no one is bothering each other, very light with big windows. Staff is very friendly and polite, always ready to answer any of your questions. I completely satisfied and enjoyed my time there (even though I’m very strict client haha). There is free paring near. For sure will visit this place again and again. And highly recommend to everyone!!! The best restaurant for me now! Thanks to management team and all employees who make it happen!

Delicious food, and much of it is halal. No music is played, which I love. Furthermore, a small prayer area is provided for Muslims. I come here regularly and will continue to do so!

The area is questionable, the contingent too. For this price you can eat to your heart's content and with good products from the market or supermarket, or go to a nice restaurant. If you are very hungry you can, but it's not about exquisite food or atmosphere. An ordinary canteen

My sister and I went out for dinner at your place. It was super nice, but for the past 3 days I've been having pee-number 2 and feeling nauseous and sick. We think it was the scallops or the rolled beef tenderloin with cheese. This is not okay; the Food and Commodities Inspection Service should inspect a place like this every week.

They have high-quality food and it is definitely worth trying. They also have everything you can imagine and there is a lot of variety. They have all kinds of meat and fish, and they specialize in desserts; they have all sorts of desserts, from cakes to ice cream, etc. The service is good, they have clean restrooms, and a nice atmosphere. So you really should give it a try.

Raw garlic and food way too salty at the live cooking. The kitchen is set up quite small. Because of this, there are long lines and it gets crowded. Plates are not always placed correctly, so pay attention to the ready-made dishes. The service is super fast at clearing tables!

I am eating here right now and I can only say that the food is disgusting. Saltless, tasteless, and even nauseating. I sent back almost everything I ordered or served myself. I am sitting here feeling terribly nauseous. My father has already gone to the toilet three times to throw up. With prices like these, you should at least expect some form of food quality. In short: very bad food!

I just left here and had a very bad experience at Foodmarket Amsterdam. The food was downright tasteless and bland, completely out of standard. Additionally, the staff was grumpy and uninterested, which only made the atmosphere worse. And nothing is being done with the feedback. The worst part is that several people in our group became nauseous after the meal. My father has already had to vomit multiple times, and others are not feeling well either. This is not only disappointing but truly worrying. And all this for a gift costing over 200 euros. We will absolutely not be coming back here. I advise everyone against this.

The cook went to empty the trash cans and, without washing his hands, calmly went to stand behind the grill. One of the guests had pointed out the hygiene to him and asked him to wash his hands. He resolutely refused!!! Never again for me. Even when everyone got involved, he refused to wash his hands… everything was filmed and it was going to be posted on Facebook.

During our visit, we noticed something that was really not okay. The cook at the steak section was first emptying trash cans and then proceeded to prepare meat without washing his hands. We spoke to him about this, but he still refused to wash his hands. When we reported this to the manager, the response we received was that he did not speak the language. We do not consider that an acceptable excuse when it comes to hygiene in the kitchen.

Far too large, resulting in long lines. The atmosphere is completely lacking. It's 100% fit for a "food shack" classification. All the sushi tastes the same. The rest of the food is mediocre.

Even though this is all-you-can-eat, we always go at 5 p.m. It's quieter then. No wait, and the food is simply very good. I always have BBQ most of the time. The meat is delicious. The service is also excellent and fast.

This is absolutely outrageous! Running a restaurant is risky because of foodies. I understand you're worried about food waste, but we spent over 40 euros to get here, and it was a buffet—we just wanted to eat something good. Okay, fine, but when we went to get some baked scallops with cheese, the fat chef stopped us! They could check the security camera footage; we didn't waste any food. What's wrong with taking a few more scallops? The snow crab legs in the sushi section were way too salty. We only ate the leg meat; the tiny bit of belly was inedible—it was incredibly salty. The whole experience was like being in ice water. I'm never going back. Running a restaurant is risky because of foodies. Stay away from big restaurants!

The Foodmarket is at Zuidermolenweg 36, 1069 CG Amsterdam, upstairs on Akerpoort Outlet & Megastores. It's a very big buffet restaurant, serving food in all-you-can-eat concept. And it's always incredibly busy in the evenings, even on weekdays. Diners should be a bit patient in long lines, especially for grilled meat and fish. It worth waiting, as the food is quite fresh and delicious, however. There's plenty of choice, including sashimi, sushi, fish, shrimp, beef, lamp, crab, lobster claws and even Halal food. Drinks (including good wines and beers) are included. The Foodmarket is a nice and enjoyable place for families or groups. It's probably not suitable for a couple who wanna have a romantic dinner. And for sure it isn't recommended to those who are fan of "fine dinning". Price is 42.50 Euro (taxes included) for an weekday dinner (Dec 2025).

Great food here! You can also park in the parking garage. The first 2.5 hours are free.

The food is good, but the atmosphere... it's so crowded, and there are all these children (even small babies) running around without their parents, so you could easily bump into them or trip over them while you're holding a plate of food. It would be better if there were some kind of rule where parents keep their children with them instead of letting them roam freely on the floor (I also think this is definitely the parents' fault; why would you let your child run around without you in a crowded place where everyone is walking around with food? Aren't you embarrassed?) But oh well. Otherwise, the staff are friendly and the food and drinks are delicious. I wouldn't go back myself because of the crowds with children and the type of people who come there...

I have now been to Foodmarket Amsterdam four times, on different days and at different times. During this time, I have had reservations ranging from two hours to two and a half hours, allowing me to form a good and honest overall impression. Upon entering, it is immediately noticeable that the space is large and well-organized. There is a wide variety of seating options, and the staff ensures that tables are cleared on time, creating a neat and pleasant dining environment. Foodmarket also works with a fixed team, which is clearly noticeable in the service: the staff is organized, recognizable, and knows what needs to be done. The food selection is very extensive. You can come here for various cuisines, including Asian, Chinese, and sushi, as well as chicken, meat, fries, and various snacks. At several stands, chefs prepare the food fresh for you, such as meat or chicken to your liking, which makes the experience more personal and fresher. However, you should keep in mind that during busy periods, you may have to stand in line. At peak times, this can amount to about 20 minutes, which naturally reduces your effective dining time. Foodmarket Amsterdam is clearly child-friendly. There is a wide selection for children, and additionally, there are fun extras such as sweet desserts, a coffee machine, tea, and even a Slush Puppy machine, which is particularly popular with younger guests. The restrooms generally look neat, although it would be desirable if the sinks were cleaned a little more frequently. Another point of attention is the room temperature. During all my visits, I noticed that it is quite cold inside, both by the window and in the central aisle and on the sides. This can sometimes reduce seating comfort, especially if you stay seated for a longer period. A major plus is the parking: the first two hours are free, which makes the visit extra accessible and attractive, certainly for families. All in all, Foodmarket Amsterdam is affordable, spacious, and offers a huge variety of food for young and old. With some extra attention to the room temperature and hygiene at the sinks, this concept could easily grow into a five-star experience, in my opinion.

Visited at Christmas. It was so extensive, hence the significantly increased price. In hindsight, didn't find many extras. A bit disappointed.

I was dont know that they are expensive on Christmas.. that is really not well. The price was 62 € per person. I had 8 guests so it was too expensive. V bad thing that they make the prices high because of Christmas.. they should even make less prices.. not recommended.

It was a nice restaurant. The food was good, the service was good. It was just missing a tray so I could grab more, but you have to walk around every time for something, which is a bit less.

If you want to eat halal, this is a good place... no pork at all. According to the staff, it says so on the website, but I didn't check it myself. The reception was good. The temperature inside was also good. There was a limited selection, but plenty of choice for halal eaters. This was our only and last time... we left after an hour. Parking is fantastic. Initially, we had 2.5 hours of free parking, and there was plenty of parking.

The food is delicious and there's something for everyone. The people clearing tables, etc., are friendly. The cooks are very unfriendly; they should be addressed about their behavior.

Had my daughter her birthday and my sister her birthday at the same day. I brought my own cake and requested if it was possible to bring to our table when we were finished eating. I did not wanted any discounts because of the 2 having their birthday just wanted some extra service. I found out that they don't bring any cake to your table unlike other buffet places. I had to wait 10 minutes to have it found in the refrigerator and had to do everything my self and after all this a girl from the reception came to our table to request us to leave because we were 10min late. This was late at night and there was nobody coming to take the table after us. I found it very shocking to be treated like this and will be my last time visiting this place or any of my family members. I already had a big issue as i can't order any meat to have to cooked at this place as it takes 30 minutes waiting in line to order and already avoided this place if we wanted to plan a family buffet or a business buffet.

It's not the staff's fault, but this isn't my thing. I don't feel like I've been out to dinner. This is a factory. Not my choice. The food quality is quite good, and the staff is also good.

The food is okay, but the service is terrible. Your child waits 45 minutes for a hamburger, then it's given to someone else, and when you bring the child back to complain, the response I get is "not hungry, not hungry." In other words, the chef decides the child isn't hungry anymore? It's beyond belief. A complaint at the reception desk wasn't taken seriously. Never again. Also, the people are way too noisy; it really is a "market." If you want a quiet meal, look elsewhere.

Too crowded and chaotic and you have to wait quite a long time at the grill. This was on a Saturday. I don't know about other days but I also found it very hot where we were. Toilets didn't look clean. I found it disappointing for what you spend.

I went to this restaurant for the first time last weekend. Due to the renovations and the broken elevator, the route to the entrance was downright strange and surprising. This made it inaccessible for people with limited mobility. The food was excellent. Plenty of choices and everything was nice and hot. Service was good and fast. I didn't find the atmosphere special, but it was just okay. It was incredibly busy for takeout, which is hardly surprising considering there are so many seats. There are plenty of parking spaces right outside, and there's also a small shopping center nearby.

This bar-restaurant is undoubtedly one of the nicest spots in the neighborhood. The cocktails were innovative, beautifully presented, and delicious. The tapas we ordered were fresh and varied—from spicy shrimp to creamy hummus. The service was fast, friendly, and always with a smile. The atmosphere was lively but not chaotic. The decor combined industrial elements with warm colors, creating a unique ambiance. The music was perfectly matched to the evening. The tables were spaced far enough apart for comfortable seating. Everything ran smoothly, despite the crowd. I'd happily return here for an evening with friends.

Pros: The variety of food and drinks is really good! There's a wide selection of salads, appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The seafood is especially excellent, including fresh oysters, tuna, real crab (not surimi), and lobster. Cons: The quality of the meat has declined slightly compared to last year, and you have to wait about ten minutes for grilled fish or meat. Suggestion: Foodmarket could come up with a more efficient approach here, because you also pay based on time. About 20 to 25% of that time is spent queuing to place your order and waiting for the dish to be ready—especially if you want freshly grilled fish or meat.

I don't think people who eat meat, fish, and chicken here and enjoy it have ever had truly good meat. It tastes like nothing and stinks. It's incredibly crowded, causing lines to form. It feels like a two-star hotel with hungry tourists. This was our first and last visit. A waste of money.

I didn't like the meat, and the chicken wasn't good. The man grilling the fish treats people poorly. I didn't know I had to choose three pieces of fish, since it was my first time at the restaurant, but he yelled at me that I was entitled to three. He could have conveyed the information a bit more politely. Everything else was delicious. Thanks for everything.

I had so much to choose from, it was delicious and thankfully halal. Three things weren't halal, including duck, marshmallow, and lasagna. But otherwise, it was so enjoyable. ... I think it's the best all-you-can-eat restaurant in the world.

All in all, a really great visit. The food is delicious and the staff is really friendly. Great selection of drinks, including freshly tapped beers (Heineken and Texels). You can help yourself to non-alcoholic drinks in small bottles from the refrigerators. If you arrive after 4:30 p.m., parking is free (otherwise, 2.5 hours are free on the street and in the parking garage).

It's quite a drive from where we live. But I went here for dinner thanks to TikTok videos. All the food looked well-presented and tasted great, with even nicer ingredients than you'd find in similar places. Unfortunately, I found the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant to be much worse than in Utrecht. We sat by the window, overlooking an industrial area. Luckily, my car was parked under the window, so I had a view. There are quite a few strange characters walking around and between the cars. There's a parking garage next door, but there was also space in front. You have to pay in front until 7 pm. Finding the entrance was also a bit of a challenge. You have to use the escalators (which weren't working) or the elevators, one of which wasn't working either. We felt that detracted from the overall experience a bit. Anyway, the food was fine, and that's what matters.

Llevo visitando The Food Market Amsterdam desde hace más de un año y es fácilmente uno de mis lugares favoritos de la ciudad. Mi esposa y yo lo visitamos regularmente y siempre nos impresiona la variedad, frescura y calidad de la comida. Éste no es el típico buffet. El concepto es "todo lo que puedas comer", pero con un toque refinado y dinámico. Reserva una franja horaria (2, 2). 5 o 3 horas) y, dentro de ese tiempo, puede explorar múltiples estaciones de comida, cada una de las cuales ofrece algo único. Hay una estación WOK donde eliges tus ingredientes crudos y se los entregas al chef para que los prepare frescos con tu elección de 7 salsas diferentes. Las parrillas teppanyaki, una para carne y otra para pescado, te permiten seleccionar cortes como cordero, pollo o mariscos frescos y cocinarlos frente a ti. También hay una estación de barbacoa donde puedes pedir filetes como T-bone, cordero o incluso una hamburguesa con queso a la parrilla a pedido. Una cinta transportadora de sushi recorre su propia sección, con sashimi, ostras, vieiras y otras delicias. También encontrarás una barra completa de sopas y ensaladas, platos Chino, Coreano y Español (incluida una deliciosa paella) y mucho más. Toda la experiencia está bien organizada y el ambiente es animado pero cómodo. Es un lugar perfecto para los amantes de la gastronomía que disfrutan probando diferentes cocinas en una sola sesión, sin comprometer la calidad. ¡Muy recomendable para una velada divertida y sabrosa!

Best AYCE and D I've ever experienced. Free parking after 6 PM. We regularly go here with a large group for the friendly atmosphere and delicious food and drinks.
