We sat comfortably at the large table with people working on their laptops.

Mäßig Homemade lemonade tastes like water with sirup and way to sugary. Sandwiches are not so tasty.

Unfortunately a frozen piece of apple pie, no excuses, but in the “oven” i.e. microwave. The staff is talking for a long time with my cappuccino in hand, so it's lukewarm. Shame

Had lunch here for the first time today and was especially pleased with the friendly and helpful employees. The lunch itself was also of a higher level than the average lunch place so we will definitely return here. Thank you!

Great place to have a coffee and read the newspaper

What an incredibly bad experience today (Sunday November 3). I regularly visit various Anne and Max branches so I know the sizes, but an employee just tried to sell me a small cappucino (green cup) as a large one (gray, which I didn't get). I mentioned this but the employee stated with dry eyes that this was the "big one". I didn't feel like having a nonsensical argument with a teenager, but what a load of nonsense. In addition, the cappucino with caramel was incredibly poorly made. The caramel was missing/forgotten and it looked more like a flat white than a cappucino. I'm not used to Anne & Max In addition, all the "experienced" staff were clumped together chatting uninterestedly while they let an apparently inexperienced colleague drown on the terrace. The icing on the cake was the condition of the toilet. An average camping toilet after a curry night looked better.

You can enjoy a breakfast in a quite neighborhood, also the tast is really nice. A little overpriced compared to the portion but maybe that's the market there.

Great breakfast! Not cheap, but extensive. There were even small smoothies and croissants included. However, the amount of toppings doesn't quite match the amount of bread etc. We would have liked a little more. But the taste is great. The play area for children is also great. However, other guests had left their breakfast leftovers directly on the tables, which invited the small children to play. Unfortunately it wasn't cleared away the entire time we were there. There is a big minus point for the sanitary facilities! Toilets and changing table are disgusting! I didn't change my baby there because the table was completely "brown" smeared...! The toilets also stank.

Normally I am very satisfied with Anne and Max, everywhere I meet them in the Netherlands. Always, nice location, beautiful space, good coffee and good food. but my recent experience with Anne and Max at the Fred was incredibly disappointing. The staff was arrogant and disinterested. I had to repeat my order several times in English, because the waitress didn't understand Dutch, not even the word 'latte macchiato'. I explained in English that I have a milk allergy and wanted an oat milk latte for three people. The waitress responded sullenly with: "We always use oat!" Then we got three macchiatos with cow's milk. When I reported this after taking a sip, the response was: "Well, she only speaks English..." To which I explained in English that I had also explained this in English. The waitress then came in and said, "Oh, yes, haha, I forgot, my bad." Now I am sick for the next three days because of the arrogant, disinterested and incompetent staff. Definitely not recommended. There are plenty of other great alternatives on the Fred, I recommend this one.

Staff was more attentive and friendly than on previous visits. Food was good but we found the pulled pork focaccia too small and the bread was like eating air. Banana bread was good but dry. Apple pie was good.

Great neighborhood outpost of the Anne & Max chain. The breakfast for two hit the spot and the price was right. The orange juice is freshly squeezed. Plenty of seats indoors and outdoors.

**UPDATE** After a few recent visits, the trend seems to have gone up again, so some more stars. If you are at Fred, this is a great coffee shop to relax. This is the typical story: used to be good, now it's not. I came here often, so I know the place inside out. It continues to deteriorate. Coffee is weak and the service adds up to this. other things too expensive for the quality. The business now seems to be run by juniors. I came here so often, but since 2/3 months it has been a real mess. What the hell happened here? It's just crap right now.

Excellent place for a meeting, a class

I enjoyed a great green brunch at Anne & Max with a verse munt thee and a caprese croissant which was filled with cheese, tomatoes, rocket/ruccola and pesto. The service staff were quite chirp and happy.

The coffee is okay, food is average but the place is extremely filthy... The tables, the floors especially the couches, toys and books in the play corner is just way beyond acceptable levels of dirth in public places.

Very nice place for a relaxing lunch. Staff is friendly and cooperative, food is very tasty. Many gluten-free options are also available.

Super cozy. Especially nice for families with some toys at the back of the café. Price/performance for the big breakfast was very poor. It's better to order a few individual things.

Unfortunately, I was not properly informed about the pesto, but I noticed that it contained nuts because of my allergy, so I asked on purpose...

Too bad everything had to have a QR code and only PIN payments. So we won't see us again. And again English speaking staff. RIDICULOUS.

Friendly and quick service, had ordered a lunch for 2, 1 comment: a lot of scrambled eggs could have been a little less and a little more of the other ingredients, including salmon.

Great little restaurant run by great people. Food was tasty and prices were decent.

Nice atmosphere and friendly people (had to speak English). Card should be digital via QR but gave error, luckily an analogue card was still available. Also some children's toys available. Tasty dishes but we missed the proteins in the vegetarian salads. Not even a tablespoon of feta in one of the plates, nothing in the other plate. Could have been solved with some nuts, cheese, tofu or something like that. So taste good, execution too poor.

Came here on the 2nd Christmas day. Ordered cappuccino, vegan chai chocolate, and lunch for two. All are great! Also a good cafe to work from. The servers are super friendly and more than happy to fulfill your needs.

We had brunch here on a Monday morning. The staff were great, attentive, welcoming and friendly. The space was good and airy but the walls and floor were marked and dirty, with rubbish laying around, the table looked as though it had been wiped with a dirty cloth. We enjoyed our coffees and found decent choices on the small menu which were very simply prepared but enjoyed. The venue is dog friendly which is nice. Only realised it's part of a chain after we left but this does explain all our misgivings about the place.

Standaard keten zaak, niet slecht, niet goed. Divers publiek, vooraal uit de buurt, zo te zie,m Espresso aan de zure kant voor mij. Ook hier onbemensd.

Alles in orde. Alleen achterin is het vaak een lawaaiige kinderopvang met ouders die niet of nauwelijks ingrijpen. Jammer. Ook de keuken geeft veel lawaai met blenders en mixers en ik weet niet wat nog meer. Vroeger was dat gek genoeg niet zo.

Mooie vegan en vegetarische gerechten. Heerlijke koffie!

Druk, veel kinderen. Misschien waren wij daar op het verkeerde moment, maar ik heb het nu 2 x meegemaakt.

Lekkere koffie met Italiaans koekje. En je krijgt korting als je havermelk besteld ipv dat je extra moet betalen. Leuke verrassing!

Heel leuk plekje voor een lekker bakje koffie of een verfrissende soda. De borreltime-deal is een topdeal! Vriendelijk en vlot personeel. Zeker een aanrader voor als je op de Fred bent!😊

Eten was ok. Binnen hing er een wolk van bak lucht bijna mistig. Personeel wel vriendelijk maar het is me nu al 2x gebeurd dat ik als enige bij de kassa sta te wachten om af te rekenen, er 3 man personeel staat dat in conclaaf is over het maken van koffie of dienstroosters. Je drie keer aankijken en doorgaan met hun discussie. Ik snap communicatie is zeer belangrijk maar ik verwacht minimaal een:”ik kom zo bij u”. Maar compleet genegeerd worden is niet fijn en dat dus tijdens 2 afzonderlijke bezoeken. Ik sla jullie voorlopig over.

Anne and Max is a chain cafe for spending some time in. If you want to have a good table, just do the reservation unless you might sit outside which would be cold or rain.

Te weinig personeel. Duurde lang.

Prima zaak om overdag voor een kopje koffie of lunch te vertoeven. Leuke sfeer en goede bediening.
