We had a wonderful breakfast here. Great service and delicious food.

I was served ginger tea in a very old glass and my breakfast was served on a used board it was filthy!

Some good brunch options and dishes can be made with gluten free bread, which is great. However, the food was a bit bland. The restaurant itself is very nice, with lots of tables and the staff were good.

Anne & Max is one of our fav spot ☕✨ It's a lovely spot to work calmly or catch up with friends in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Their high tea is an absolute treat, perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

Friendly staff and my go to place for coffee breaks. Great to just sit in a corner or on their cosy sofa's to unwind and read the paper. The cappuchino they brew is of a nicely balanced coffee blend and it is well prepared. I recommend buying a bag of their espresso blend for at home. The coffee they serve in some of the other lunchrooms in the vicinity just miss the mark.. By the way: take a slice of their apple pie with that. It is simply delicious! Also a great place for breakfast and lunch.

On the way to the Japanese garden at Clingendael we had a delicious lunch at Anne&Max. Forgot my glasses, but after calling they were sent free of charge to my home address. In addition to the nice, cozy atmosphere and service, this was of course an extra service. Thank you and see you next time!

We ordered a lunch package for three people yesterday, but only received one and a half. There was a lot missing that was later supplemented with difficulty, including omelet, soup, sandwiches and toppings. The cutlery and plates arrived much later and the drinks even later. Everything was very difficult and it was tiring to have to keep asking questions. So not a pleasant lunch. We will definitely not come back here again.

Nice cafe with a lovely staff! I was looking for a cafe where i could have a long meeting and they were helpful finding a quiet corner. Coffee was also good 😀

The worst cafe in my life. The food is not tasty. The menu took about 20 minutes to arrive. The soup was so hot that I burned my tongue. But I just didn’t eat the salad, it was sour, as if vinegar had been added to it. Unfriendly staff. Plus it's very dirty and there are flies flying over the food. Wasted money.

If five of you barge in on a weekday, it might be a while before you can get a decent spot for breakfast. But from that point on everything becomes very nice. The staff is very nice, the coffee is good, and the cakes are highly recommended.

Absolutely delightful. All of it. The food, service and atmosphere. Is my favourite spot to spend time with friends and family.

Went for a drink and snack on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm. We were given a table by the window (so we would have to look outside). Still asked for another place. We were able to sit at a long table opposite each other. Cappuccino was okay. Turmeric latte too, but it arrived lukewarm, so not very warm and nice to drink (€4.75). We had to wait a long time for our order: bread with dipping sauces. After waiting at least 20/25 minutes, we asked about our order. We were only told that the kitchen was busy and asked if we wanted to cancel it (?!). When we came up with the idea of ​​whether she wanted to check in the kitchen (status), she indicated that she would do so. When she came back she said it was almost done. We waited a little longer and our bread with spread was there. Looked good and colorful, but this was really the worst bread with spreads we had eaten. This was because the sourdough bread (which just looked like plain, not fresh bread) was falling apart and cold. Focaccia was slightly warmed but also crumbly and on the dry side. Dips of pesto, hummus and paprika were not tasty and not a nice combination with the bread. Unfortunately, we also did not get a napkin, salt / pepper / crockery, etc. What also felt strange was that the lady first spoke to us in English and then again in Dutch. Finally, indicate at checkout about our experience. Unfortunately, we had to pay for the bread with spread (even though it was a real shame because we left half of it because it was inedible). We received 2 tickets for free coffee or tea for the future. Not worth repeating on a Sunday at this location in The Hague. The staff, service and food could use some attention/training for a better experience as a customer.

I don’t think it’s ok when you are finishing your dish and literally chewing the last piece, and the waiter comes and asks you to move to the next table because there is a group of four who need conveniently located 2 tables, one of which you are currently sitting at. When I asked to give me a couple of minutes to finish my dish (we were really preparing to leave), I heard that we need to move to the next table RIGHT NOW. Later on, at the cashier desk when I said to the same waiter that it’s not nice to behave like this with your guests, she replied that they are a small business. Sorry, you are not. You are a network. And in any kind of business you cannot ask your /sorry/ chewing client to move to another table RIGHT NOW. And then laugh when your client says she is not ok with that. Never faced such a rude service. Please train your waiters how to deal with clients.

Knusse locatie onder de vele bomen. Door een krappe bezetting liep de wachttijd wel flink op. De hoeveelheid ijskoffie oogde wat mager, omdat de slagroom op was.

Goede plek voor een koffietje of lunch

Wat een heerlijke plek om te zitten. Zowel binnen als buiten! Kom hier zeer regelmatig en ben iedere keer enorm vriendelijk geholpen! Koffie top en eten top! Aanrader!

Ik was groot fan en zat hier zeker 3x per week. Hartelijke bediening (vooral die man met dat lange haar, zo verwelkomend) uitstekende koffie, prima eten en leuke kleurplaten voor de kids. Maar de zuinigheid en hoge prijzen gaan me steeds meer tegen staan. Gewoon kleine dingetjes. Ik zat met 3 kids elke met taart en bestelde daarbij fris maar mijn jongste wilde water. Krijg ik zo’n halve liter fles van 4,5 euro. Wat moet een kind van 3 jaar daarmee? En bij de koude chocomelk (in een beker) van een kind even een koekje erbij doen. Toen t vriendinnetje van mijn dochter aangaf ook een koekje lekker te vinden, werd dit door t personeel genegeerd. T hoeft natuurlijk niet, maar hartelijk was t wel geweest. Ook t spaarsysteem staat me steeds meer tegen waar ik 75 euro aan koffie moet uitgeven voordat ik een grote koffie cadeau krijg. En tot slot om de haverklap iemand aan je tafel of je nog wat wilt bestellen of je nog wat te eten wilt bij je koffie. Op een goed moment ongemakkelijk. Jammer, ik kwam hier graag, maar mij nu te zakelijk.

Hele aardige bediening, maar ik vind drie euro voor 0,15 centiliter aanmaaklimonade voor onze dochter absurd. Dat vind ik eerlijk gezegd niet verkoopbaar.

Erg gezellig en vriendelijke bediening. Is er ook netjes en schoon. Hoytema straat is ook erg gezellig met veel leuke winkels .

Leuke toko, nu alleen afgehaald dus niet even gaan zitten. Voor bestellen netjes verteld dat het heel druk was en dat het iets langer duurt dan gebruikelijk. Bestelling duurde 12 min dus viel mee. Goede koffie. Eten kan ik niks schrijven. Servies top netjes in de zaak. Gezellige sfeer.

De soep was lekker maar voor een normaal biertje kun je beter even door lopen

Nice place for brunch and lunch. Reasonably priced, great atmosphere inside.

Good food, good coffee, nice selection of vegan options. Although they did mess up our order a few times (it was take away, which was even more frustrating) they did everything to correct the mistakes. Super friendly staff. Hopefully next time will be 5 stars ⭐️
