We went here a few times for breakfast and lunch. The food is good and there is always plenty of vegan options. The service however is very slow. Once you ordered they do not check on you again. You also need to make sure to check the bill, we had a few items on there that weren't ours. Other tables received drinks and food before us, even though they came later. Overall, a very chaotic experience. İt also doesn't matter if it is full or not. We experienced this in multiple occasions.

Waited 10 minutes to be served a cold cappuccino, about which I was interrupted by the attendant while ordering because she knows what you want better than you. Ownful.

Got told we can't have laptops here to work in a very rude way. Even though they post at the table you can wok here.

Anne & Max is a successful formula that has become an indispensable part of the cityscape of large cities. Go and get your coffee here in The Hague at the beginning of the Prinsenstraat in The Hague. Or sit back and be pampered at A&M by all the goodies they have to offer.

We wanted to have a nice cup of tea and decided to have something to eat. We both ordered a croissant with egg, bacon and spinach. The dish was €10, so I expected a well-filled croissant. Unfortunately this was not the case. We received a petit croissant, with a little egg, 4 leaves of spinach and 1 small piece of bacon and there was still a piece of salmon on it that was not ordered. WOW I paid €10 for that. Tea was tasty, but that's about it. Unfortunately not worth repeating. Side note: The staff was very friendly.

My review from two years ago sounds like this: ''Delicious vegan options💚 very tasty!'' I've had lunch at this location a few times since then. Every time, including now, it is unfortunately disappointing. If you order the vegan lunch platter for two, you should not get scrambled eggs. And no cheese either. And no cheese sticks. When I mention this to the very friendly service, the tone changes. Points are made to what is vegan on the shelf. To avoid further fuss, my companions ate it and I barely ate any of it. What if my lunch partner was also vegan? Was the answer still the same? It has happened a few times that this location does not take vegan orders into account. Very unfortunate..

In itself good food and drinks alone, and this was previously posted below, I also received a comment about the weekend laptop policy. I was told that the weather was nice outside so people were sitting on the terrace, but otherwise no laptop because people from They should now also be able to sit outside. The whole argument went completely past me. I just ordered breakfast and drinks so that can't be the problem. I think the argument is that with a laptop you often stay seated longer, which means you can occupy a seat for a relatively long time. Just say this and don't beat around the bush with all kinds of vague arguments that don't improve hospitality. An interesting detail is that the employee who helped me with the checkout was also not aware of the no laptop policy. The employees who took the order also never mentioned the laptop policy. Next time go to Anne & Max oo de Fred!

Kind staff and cozy place. We ordered Mokka Croissant and Caprese Croissant, both were very tasty 😋😋😋 Really enjoyed it.

Great service, good food, decent prices

We sat down here with the intention of having a cake. This went well and the cake was super tasty, but that was it. We immediately noticed that there was no 'adult' manager around. If this were the case, then there would be 0 orders. This created a chaotic and unprofessional atmosphere. Think of the tables that have not been cleared, singing loudly, throwing things around the store and the lack of hospitality. We think this is a shame, because we have had better experiences at other branches. Hopefully something will be done about this.

Perfect spot for a brunch/lunch in the Hague Center. There are one too many delish items to pick from but the flavours are all too real and incredible. Special mention to the friendly staff who made the waiting pleasant and easy!

Very friendly but, very long waiting times. You can get a café with a croissant at a great distance from each other. Unfortunately, the baked goods are not of very good quality and the portion sizes are manageable. (Unfortunately, my croissant looked like someone had sat on it). The salt and pepper tax were empty, dirty and sticky.

Echte aanrader! We hebben hier een ontbijt plank en high tea schotel besteld. Beide schotels waren verzorgd, erg uitgebreid en ze hebben ons gesmaakt. Bediening was super vriendelijk.

‘s Morgens gaan ontbijten. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. We hadden de ontbijtplank genomen. Zeer uitgebreid en lekker! De croissants zijn heerlijk knapperig en vers gebakken. Het bananenbrood zorgde voor de grootste verrassing. Namiddag zijn we met ons drie opnieuw langsgegaan en hebben we de high tea geprobeerd. Er lagen heel wat verschillende dingen op de plank. We vonden het fijn om ook eens wat nieuwe dingen te kunnen proberen. De scones waren heerlijk! We hebben ons best moeten doen om alles op te krijgen. Als je in de buurt bent zeker een aanrader om eens lang te gaan!

Regular customer here. Whether I'm here for social contact, with my toddler or family or with my laptop... always a good experience! Complaints are resolved top notch, delicious menu and even better coffee. It is also run very well and with pleasure, that is visible.

Location is ideal and staff is nice. It's very crowded. The quality seems to suffer from this. We regularly visit a different branch. As can be seen in the photo, the same dish (toasted sandwich) is completely different at both locations. I'd rather spend my money at another location.

Great food and coffee, but no hospitality. According to the internet, “the living room” of the city and the place to finish your thesis or work. I was booking a holiday with my boyfriend. Ordered 4 drinks and lunch. However, we were asked not to use a laptop or to leave, because of the laptop policy. So that people from the terrace could take a seat. I indicated that we had just ordered food, did we have to leave? I asked the waitress for a felt for under the table that moved. I hadn't said anything yet when I walked up to her, but I immediately snapped: "I'm coming to the table to take your order." I indicated that that's fine, but I only came to ask for a felt pad. I'm sorry I wasted my money and Sunday morning here. I didn't feel welcome.

For breakfast we ordered a vegan yogurt bowl, a moccha crossaint and a double chocolate cake. We also had a capuccino and a Lovesick Maxiato. The yoghurt bowl didn’t taste “vegan” at all and was really very good. The crossaint harmonized very well with the moccha syrup. The chocolate cake was quite powerful and tasted strongly of cinnamon, so I wish it had been listed. Still a very good breakfast.

We had a very delicious breakfast here. The Mocha croissant and also the vegan Jochurt bowl are highly recommended. The coffee also tastes very good! The chocolate cake was good, we just wish we had known beforehand that there was cinnamon in it. 😇

Waited 1 hour for two slices of toast and scrambled eggs to arrive. Eggs were rubbery and unseasoned, toasts were soggy. It was a huge cafe with only two people in the kitchen, one waitress.

Meal started badly when I noticed several white spots on my coffee spoon that I had to scrape away. Ordered the klutsvrei. The vegan egg consisted of quite large pieces of tofu in my opinion as it was supposed to represent an egg, making the inside dry and tasteless. But maybe this is because I am used to the Chinese tofu, which makes it a bit juicier and well seasoned. The spices on it were a bit curry-like, which I didn't think was appropriate for a cold breakfast dish. We also ordered "sweet together for 2". We assumed that there would be 2 cakes because the waitress asked which cakes we would like. But apparently you only get 1 slice of cake and you can't choose it yourself. Disappointing for the price. Hummus didn't taste like hummus either, but it was tasty. 2 stars because I also liked the Chai latte and scones, but generally not worth repeating.

Very tasty creations for breakfast. We also had a filter coffee that tasted better than any other type of coffee (including the ones with crema) that I had drunk up to that point. The coffee is really addictive😁. The service is cozy but friendly and attentive. Was our most delicious breakfast in The Hague.

Place wasnt busy at all, yet we had to wait 30 mins for 2 dry scones. Ordered a Mimosa and after one sip i noticed mine was flat. After letting the server know, was greated with attitude. Definitely dont recommend.

A cafe that gives relaxing vibe. We tried their max's breakfast and it was really good but the amount of bacon serving can be improved. The coffee is freshly roasted. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are served all day. Overall, it was a perfect breakfast meal. Restrooms are really clean (not all cafes have clean toilets)

Nice Anne & Max with delicious tea and excellent food. However, the price/quality ratio is a bit lacking. Actually a bit too expensive.

There is a separate corner for people who want to work on their laptop, with easy access to charge your devices. Fan of that. Taking your order can take long, last Sunday as well, like they forgot we entered. Was not the first time, but really depends on what team is there, because it's also not the standard.

We went for breakfast yesterday. It was very busy and apparently not enough staff. We waited over 1 hour! The coffee was lukewarm and not good either. The rest of the breakfast was ok, sufficient but not particularly good either. The space was very narrow, our dog was welcome but very narrow for him.

Very friendly people and good food. What is less is that everyone has to use the terrace.

Cosy place to have a coffee or lunch

I thought I would have a cup of coffee at Anne & Max's on Kerkplein on Easter Monday around half past ten. And I immediately wanted to email something on my laptop. At 11 o'clock several people came in, and I suggested that they sit somewhere else, because I wanted to make room for that group. To which I received the answer that 'it was almost laptop time'... and that apparently I had to leave. Just thank you for making space. I have a hospitality background myself and certainly understand that it is not desirable to have a table filled with flex workers on a public holiday. But I find it less service-oriented to simply assume that everyone belongs to that target group without asking. Ultimately, the three stars are for the friendly boy who helped me earlier. I didn't order lunch in the end.

There is always a spot. Nice for a cup of coffee/tea with something tasty. Unfortunately, the facility has deteriorated. I understand, more seating now, but a lot less cozy than what it was with different furniture and corners.

Delicious Acai bowl! Quickly made and well filled, but the bun could be a little deeper for me. The taste was also very tasty. The club sandwich also tasted delicious. The coffee is served in a pot and although it seemed light, it tasted good. This lunchroom is definitely recommended and located in the center of the city.
