Anne&Max Groningen in Centrum

Disappointed. We ordered the lunch for 2 persons, 19€ per person, the quantity and quality doesn't reflect the price. Everything arrived in a portion a 1 person, that we had to share in two. The bacon was 5 grams of "bacon" sprinkles, ham (low quality) was just one light slice to share in half, salad was only rocketta without sauce, butter is only a square of 2cm2, jus glass super small... and so on. We left the place being hungry. Only the lentils soup was good and in a fare quantity. Seeing what other people ordered, I think it worth better to order single dishes than sharing this "2 person" plate. The place is nice, but there is a room for improvement.

The breakfast here was so good. The selection was quite big considering the size of the cafe, and it tasted great. Also, for each menu, you had the option to choose between bacon and salmon (or vegetarian), which was a great way to be inclusive. The portions do not look big, but it was a perfect way to start the day, leaving a feeling of fulfilment in the best way possible. Their staff was also incredibly attentive and sweet, which made the entire eating experience so much better. It was a very cosy atmosphere, and I can only recommend going here if you're in town!

Best cafe I’ve even been in. Amazing food , amazing people and amazing decor. Loved every second of me being there. Stayed in Groningen for 5 days and every day we had breakfast there and somehow it kept getting better and better.

We ordered cappuccino with oat milk, coffee, focaccia Maximilano and the acai bowl here today on a Sunday and it really tasted excellent! The staff is super nice, friendly and attentive and even brought our dog a bowl of water without asking. We'd love to come back!

Anne and Max in Groningen is the perfect place for me to relax. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, ideal for a relaxing moment. I always enjoy their delicious homemade ice tea, highly recommended if you like refreshing drinks. The sandwiches are also super tasty and fresh. In addition, the employees are always friendly and make me feel right at home. A top address in Groningen that I like to visit!

Quality and atmosphere, that is what we found here. Many catering establishments no longer have good staff, but here they do! That indicates something. We will definitely come back after the summer!

It's always a pleasure to go to Anne & Max Groningen. Lots of variety in delicious fresh products with delicious coffee and homemade smoothies. In addition, you always have to wait and see what the seasonal dishes are. Just give me a table in the sun and enjoy all the goodies together with the family!

Start it with a coffee and cream that was delightful, then Breakfast. Enjoying a charcuterie style breakfast at Anne&Max Cafe. We enjoyed various kinds of bread, savoury and sweet topping, enjoyed most the turmeric hummus, aged cheeses and meats were an added delite, scrambled eggs with bacon, banana bread, Greek yogurt with crunchy granola and berries and fresh squeezed orange juice. A 10/10. And to follow up the service is amazing. The young Lady that took our order was amazingly pleasant to talk to. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to our enjoyment of the meal.

Picked up some scones a while back, they were very dry. For 4 very dry scones the price/quality ratio was not there. The compote and clotted cream were very tasty.

Amazing! We had nice lentil soup, which was amazingly seasoned, cheese bread and fresh salad. Coffee was also perfect. And the staff so sweet! We will come again!!

The sandwich had an okay taste, but I have never experienced such a terrible rip-off in terms of price/quality and quantity. Mini sandwiches with very minimal toppings. scandalous

If you don't have a living room, this is your living room. There is a friendly atmosphere here, you can enjoy breakfast and lunch here. Great coffee and delicious banana bread. The staff is always friendly and happy to help you. And it strikes me that you don't have to wait very long here either. But that might be because I often visit at less busy times. Recommended.

We were very pleasantly surprised during a spontaneous visit to this restaurant for breakfast. The ambience is simple and yet very cozy. The service is consistently friendly, e.g. Partly German and coffee, tea and food were really tasty. The card can be scanned with a QR code and is then also available online in German. We would come back at any time.

Cozy place, liked the coffee here. Couldn’t get why muffin called portugese, was a classic muffin. But, we loved the lemon-matcha taart ✌️ And one improvement point, the owner should invest on interior ventillation, the air was very stuffy ☹️

Very nice café with great vegetarian and vegan alternatives. The staff were very friendly and offered to answer my questions about the menu not only in English but also in German. My personal recommendation is the apple pie.

Good sunlight, thanks to the big windows. Service is okay, considering we could only see a couple of servers taking care of everyone, so delay in attending to each table is expected. We ordered the Stapel Op Jou Club and Maximiliano, along with a Latte and Cappuccino. We found the food to be a little bland/tasteless. Coffees’ were okay. The portions aren’t too big either, or at least we found the inner filling to be a little lesser as compared to the ratio of the breads. Overall, okay food, okay service, but good ambiance & seating to read a book, work on laptop, chat with someone, etc.

We ordered through thuisbezorg and I am shocked that 15€ club sandwich that has chicken in it would not have more 2 tiny slices of it. It was mostly a tomato club sandwhich with bacon. In their pictures you see more chicken. With these good reviews im confused who made this sandwhich?

Nice new place just outside the center. Extensive menu with nice coffee and tea options. We had the 'together sweet for 2', very tasty!! We had to wait a bit long, but it was also busy on a Sunday afternoon.

Mijn vriendin en ik gaan minstens 2 maal per week. Dichtbij huis, maar vooral om de uitstekende sfeer en goede producten. De bediening is leuk en vriendelijk. Echt een aanrader.

Wir haben einige Cafés in Groningen besucht und viel Kaffee getrunken: In diesem Café gibt es den besten Kaffee der Stadt und auch das Frühstück war großartig! Eine kleine Spielecke für Kinder ist übrigens auch vorhanden.

Super lekker eten, goede en vriendelijke service. Fijne plek om binnen of buiten in het zonnetje te zitten. Wij kozen voor de lunch voor twee personen en dit was meer dan genoeg!

Laatst lekkere chai latte gedronken en geluncht. Er zijn meer dan genoeg vegan opties en er is een leuke sfeer.

Ontzettend leuke en fijne plek! Heerlijk eten met ruim aanbod vegan opties. Heerlijk buiten gezeten in de zon. Ook erg hondvriendelijk, onze teckel werd direct voorzien van een snackje en water. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Een aanwinst voor Groningen!

Viel erg tegen. Een uur moeten wachten op onze lunch, die ook tegenviel. Daarna nog honger en ergens anders gaan eten. We hadden voor het eten kwam nog drinken besteld, maar dat duurde zolang dat we zonder deze gehad te hebben zijn weggegaan. Aangegeven bij het afrekenen en kregen toen een "sorry" kaartje voor een gratis drankje die bij de kassa lag. Dat deze standaard bij de kassa ligt zegt misschien wel genoeg... wel vriendelijk personeel, maar voor mij niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Helaas was er op Hemelvaartsdag te weinig personeel met enorme wachttijden tot gevolg; bijna een uur wachten voor een lunch en dan horen dat het nog 15 minuten duurt is niet te verkopen. En vervolgens een ‘lunch voor 2’ geserveerd krijgen die wel lekker (daarom 2 sterren) maar niet compleet en ook nog aangepast was. De eigenaar moet echt meer (keuken)personeel aannemen want dit was zwaar onvoldoende

Vandaag een heerlijke hightea gehad. Echt ruim voldoende. Geweldige locatie en super vriendelijke mensen. Een echte aanrader dus.
