Very expensive coffee, I have ordered a big cappuccino (200ml cup) and paid 5.15 euro when in the menu card it is 5 euro.

Large cups of coffee and good quality beans. The lunch is really delicious. Very friendly staff. The atmosphere is very cozy. I love coming here.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Perfectly fine for a coffee to go, although it is a bit pricey; almost €5 for a coffee. Sitting on the terrace in the sunshine is also very pleasant. Inside, there is a productive atmosphere, a very pleasant place to work on your laptop or similar.

We stopped for two coffees, and I literally drank them... I left it in the cup because it was so sour and burnt. It's a shame because the place is very nice and the drinks/desserts didn't look bad.

We had breakfast. The eggs weren't scrambled but rather an omelet cut into pieces. The granola was good, and the croissant too.

Packed, nice and busy but very messy. All tables that are no longer occupied by customers are not cleared, staff walk past them multiple times without taking anything away. Eventually, I just put the dirty dishes on another table myself. Everything looks grubby, glasses are not clean, tables are sticky, and the floor is downright filthy. The coffee was good, but we skipped lunch. Next time, we'll definitely go somewhere else...

Anne&Max in Leiden is a cozy place with a warm, homey atmosphere. The coffee is good and the food is fresh and flavorful, with plenty of choice for breakfast or lunch. The staff is friendly and makes sure you feel welcome. It can sometimes be a bit busy, but that mainly shows how popular it is. Definitely recommended!

Delicious soup and good location.

Made a reservation for 6 people for lunch at 1:00 PM through Social Deal. The price/quality ratio isn't great, and drinks aren't included! Everything (except the fried egg) is easy to prepare in advance, but it still takes half an hour for anything to arrive. Poor planning? The Vegan Bacon tastes nothing like bacon, neither in taste nor texture. The bread is very simple slices of bread cut into triangles. The soup comes in a very small bowl. Filling all the bowls with spinach doesn't add any value either. To end on a positive note, the salad was very tasty!

It was nice to work from home for a bit. They forgot my order, but they quickly got back to me and it was on the house. Good service and a pleasant atmosphere.

We had a wonderful lunch at Anne&Max Leiden last week. We were greeted by very friendly staff and were well-supported throughout the entire lunch. The food was also delicious! All in all, a fantastic experience at Anne&Max!

I didn't think the price-quality ratio was really good. We had a lunch for two (x2), which was supposed to include two kinds of soup, but the bowls were very small and not suitable for sharing. The salmon with egg was minimal. And we had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. Otherwise, it's a nice place, and the staff is friendly.

Even though A&M is a larger coffee chain, the A&M in Leiden feels like a cozy living room. The staff are very friendly, and the service has a personal touch. The coffee is delicious; we've been coming here happily for many years!

We ended up here through Social Deal. We opted for the deluxe lunch, which was delicious and plentiful. The bread, soup, egg, salad, and homemade dips were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was super friendly and fast. We'll definitely be back, as the varied menu promises plenty of other tasty options.

We often visit Anne & Max locations, and this one was excellent. The coffee is good, but the pastries were a bit dry. The play corner for our toddler was a big plus. Addition: the coffee/cappuccino was almost boiling hot. In my opinion, way too hot. But it happens!

This afternoon I aired here with my family, super delicious. We were helped by Cheyenne (if I was right) what a professionalism she knows how to deal with customers.

I went here with my grandma, we thought it was a really nice place in the middle of Leiden! It had a nice atmosphere and you can see what's going on outside! We both ordered something to drink and something to eat. I had a pure choc (see photo) and a foccacia chicken with a small soup. I thought it was all really delicious :D definitely recommended! My grandma had a cappuccino and a foccacia tosti with a small soup, she thought the cappuccino was really tasty and at the right temperature & she really enjoyed the tosti with soup too! The staff was very friendly and it was also clear that there was a good, cozy but at the same time serious atmosphere. My grandma & I are sure. A second time is definitely in the cards! Thank you very much :)

Had lunch here today, nice place ....but that's all. Ordered a homemade ice tea with mint and lemon. This was okay, just had to wait a long time for it. Both had a super club. 3 sandwiches with 2 slices of chicken fillet, slice of bacon and some tomatoes and rocket. And a handful of chips on the side. €14.75 per sandwich!!! No more Anne and Max for us.

Good coffee, but my lunch dish was disappointing. The bowl with seasonal vegetables, hummus, yogurt and scrambled eggs was not what I expected. The seasonal vegetables were arugula and some small pieces of tomato. The hummus was spread in a thin layer on the bowl, no pimenton. For the price of 13 euros you can expect more.

Lovely coffee shop on a corner with a view. Some toys available for kids, which is a nice addition. Enjoyed a delicious vegan sandwich as well as choco. Love that they give a discount for oat milk!

Took a very long time and had to ask if we could order something. The sandwiches (chicken club sandwich) were 3dht disappointing. 3 small slices of bread with scant toppings for the main prize. I rarely have such a bad club sandwich :( Table was dirty. I'll never come back here again.

Very disappointing place. The breakfast was expensive, tasteless, and almost nothing was in the plate. There is some amazing bakeries around, just gor for one of these instead. This has been the most disappointing place we have been to during our whole stay in the Netherlands..

I took a winter bowl ( a bit of dehydrated salad and some traces of vegetables with a bit of sauce) and a tasteless infusion ( cinnamon, anis..). I think it's a nice spot to have a coffee break and nothing more.

It's a cafe with polite staff and a nice atmosphere. I'll come again, just I don't think I'll eat the chocolate-caramel cake again. It didn't quite suit my taste.

Ordered via the QR code... 15 minutes later nothing and it wasn't even that busy. When I looked around, an employee looked at me questioningly. I decided to wait a little longer and then she came to me. Or “coffee x from table y was my order?”. Well, I'm sitting at table y, so yes? Then she went to see why the order was still there. Well, okay. Thank you for doing that then? 10 minutes later I got a drink that didn't even resemble what I ordered. It wasn't bad, not that, quite tasty. But it was missing the syrup mentioned with the coffee and it contained a random cookie that didn't even resemble the cookie crumbs in the photo. Now I didn't feel like complaining and at this point I just wanted to go home, but it was extremely disappointing. Not worth the money at all. :/

Anne&Max café was a major disappointment and is one of the reasons why we don’t bother eating out in the Netherlands. The food was shockingly overpriced for what we received—bland, uninspired dishes that felt like they were prepared with minimal effort. I was hoping for a pleasant café experience, but instead, we were served meals that lacked flavor, creativity, and any sense of value. It's frustrating to spend good money on food that doesn't even come close to what you could make at home. Unfortunately, Anne&Max is a perfect example of why dining out in this country is often not worth it. I ordered the Dream croissant and paid 10 euros. What came is a small croissant, so small it for on a 150 diameter side plate. The scrambled eggs had no seasoning and it the smoked salmon were just flakes. On top of that there was ketchup on the croissant. I wish I had taken a photo. Don’t go there go to Mamie Gourmand just down the street and get two authentically French croissants and a coffee to go and sit on the bench along the canal.

Fantastically located at the nicest intersection of Leiden with the tastiest espresso in the key city - fantastic aroma, with lots of fresh fruit. The Annen and Maxen have a warm eye for their guests. Highly recommended!

I have been visiting Anne & Max in Leiden for years. This time I took out my laptop and was told that I can only use the laptop from a stool at one of the bars. I am in my late 60s and told them that I can't use the stool due to a bad back. I was told that this time only I could use the laptop at a low table. You have just made a policy that harms older people.
