Delicious chocolate milk in all kinds of flavors! Also extremely friendly service! Definitely come back here!!! Edit: The Chai Latte here is also highly recommended! (see second photo)

We wait almost 20 mins for 3 hot chocolates and they arrived almost cold.The front girl was also with a not positive attitude.I use to come here last year but I a lot changed.

The hot cappucino is soo good. I came this place twice and always order the small cappucino in the morning. It served with a bite of chocolate and her service is great. Perfect for morning coffee

Really bad service. We were there around lunch time on a Sunday. We ordered 2 ice-cappuccino, an ice-tea & fristi for the kids. It took ages for them to serve us. Sure it was busy, but nothing for 5 ladies to manage! We went there with 2 toddlers and they were unmanageable and running all around, and we only had an hour available. In the end I went at the counter and I requested the cold drinks for the kids. Hey, just an idea: cold drinks don't need preparation, just grab them from the fridge and give them directly! This way small children, that drink slow, have something to do and they don't run around impatiently till their drinks are there. Mindful movement for the serving personeel that works around and the other customers. After an hour we had to leave and we still didn't have our coffees so we asked them to be served to-go. And we had to add lots of sugar 'cause it was the most bitter coffee ever! Very disappointed.

On our visit to Leiden, it was a good idea to stop here for a small snack. Friendly and fast service. Cozy cafe. Curious way of serving the hot chocolate, which of course was very good.

This used to be my favourite place in Leiden for a break. Until I found an ant in the plate, walking on my tiramisu. It can happen, so I just told the waiter and gave the cake back. As anyone who has ever seen an ant knows, when there is one, there are usually more. So I went to see the plate in the vitrine cupboard where they keep the cakes. I immediately saw another one on the plate of the tiramisu. The waiter kindly took the plate with the full cake and reimbursed me politely. All was ending there when I saw the rest. She asked her boss (young lady with long hair) what to do, and instead of throwing the cake away, empty the cupboard and clean it to make sure there weren’t more, she told her to put the same cake back in the vitrine! The waiter did it and apologised saying that her boss told her. The problem is not the ant, but rather the reaction of the boss. I have clearly no trust anymore in how they store their food and in their hygiene. Such a pity! How to ruin a place and customer experience! And for what? To save a cake? Clearly cleaning is not something the boss considers important. To avoid (except for the hygiene office who should clearly visit this place).

During my exploration of Leiden, I stumbled upon a charming café that offered a sweet respite: - **Coffee Quality**: The coffee was quite good. - **Location**: The café is located in a bustling area, making it easily accessible. - **Space**: The café has a spacious interior with plenty of seating available. - **Staff**: The staff was very friendly. - **Pecan Pie**: While the pecan pie was quite sweet, it paired well with the cappuccino. However, the pie was rather too small for the price of 5 euros per slice. - **Versatility**: The café is a versatile space, suitable for relaxing, reading a book, or working, as there were students doing just that. - **Service System**: Like many typical Dutch cafés, the system involves ordering at the counter, with staff bringing your coffee and snacks to your table. --- This café seems like a great spot for enjoying a pleasant break in the city.

Tasty large sandwiches, tables outside are tilted, but this has more to do with the crooked street. Delicious truffle with coffee and delicious hot chocolate *melt chocolate block in milk*

Good and well made cappuccino. Varied and delicious cakes. Real and artisanal juices. An excellent choice for those who want to have a good breakfast. Amiable service with everyone. Even foreigners.

I visited several coffeeshops in Leiden (there for ~1 week), and this was by far my favorite. Very good cappuccinos and mochas (chocolate cappuccinos). Fantastic croissants. Good service and prices.

The Cafe is in the old town. There is a beautiful view across the river. I think it is a nice place to tell you about Leiden.

Nice and cozy place in a corner near a canal. There you can find sandwiches, cakes, cookies, coffee and tea. We tried a slice of apple pie that was really delicious. Service is nice and gentle. Will definitely go there again if possible.

A very nice cafe where you can have breakfast. It is also a chocolate shop since it only has a chocolate counter. The girls at the checkout are quick and courteous. The croissant was overcooked almost burnt, but maybe that's how they use it here since everyone was. But it was served cold, with a small tub of jam to put on top. Maybe if I asked they would even heat it up for me. The milk with coffee and chocolate was good, as was the slice of apple dessert. Nice to serve the bill with a coffee spoon with a chocolate inside, very good. There were three of us for 57 euros. Since it was raining we stayed for a while to have a chat with each other, as everyone else stayed and not because of the rain, since many were working on their laptops. It is customary to spend time in this place and similar ones for breakfast.

Great place! I was in Leiden recently for a conference, and I came here every morning for breakfast. The staff are super friendly, food and coffee are good, atmosphere is relaxed + free wifi. Highly recommend!!

Delicious coffee, casual atmosphere, a great start to the day!

The cafe has a nice range of tasty food and lots of drinks. There are several variations and options that you can order via the digital menu or at the counter. There were quite a few people working with laptops, which is nice for them of course, but it does lead to many occupied tables where only 1 person stays seated for a long time. Unfortunately it is also very loud inside and outside the cafe. A nice experience because of the food!

I ordered a double cappuccino with cinnamon ,but I expected cinnamon powder, not cinnamon syrup! They brought me the coffee with this kind of syrup already inside ! I always drink my coffee without sugar and I personally couldn't stand this sweet coffee! Additionally, the price was very high...

Ordered a sandwich, very cold inside. So not fresh. Received a new sandwich that was left in the machine for so long and was squashed that there was little sandwich left. No taste at all!!

This place makes a great ice chai latte which is difficult to find. Lunch portions were a bit large but very good. Will definitely be returning! Update April 2024 I ordered a caprese tosti for lunch, and the portion size was disgraceful. The thinnest sandwich I have ever seen, a child's portion at best, for €8.95. I was still hungry afterwards. Very disappointed.

Tuna sandwich XL was very disappointing. The size was definitely not XL (two regular slices of white bread) and contrary to what you would expect from a 10 euro sandwich, cheddar cheese was used. Not seasoned, bad cheese, and the "chili sauce" just came from a packet. Poor price-quality ratio... nice atmosphere.

I was a little disappointed. I had the pancakes. They were pre-made, just warmed up. They tried to elevate it with some toppings but its just not the quality I expected for €10. I doubt anyone goes out with the intention to have [edit: not microwaved, but precooked and reheated] pancakes for breakfast somewhere. Drink was also not great

Nice breakfast/lunch cafe with limited menu; especially bread and pastries. No hot dishes on the menu, except toasted sandwiches. I missed the option of a bouncer, but that requires a kitchen and I don't think there is one. The dishes they do have are tasty and prepared with love and the coffee is delicious.

Do not order the acai bowl here. Extremely watery, after returning it because it was too watery I received a new one which was again very watery. (It was practically soup..) Furthermore, it was a nice place and my girlfriend's sandwich was tasty.

Een kleine eetgelegenheid met diverse bonbons en taarten. De koffie is lekker en de chocolademelk wordt vers gemaakt. De bediening is erg vriendelijk echter is het bestel systeem wat chaotisch. De zitplekken zijn schaars echter als je zit heb je een geweldige ervaring.

This cafe offers a breakfast menu with vegetarian options as well as solid cappuccinos and latte macchiatos. We chose the hummus sandwich and banana bread, they were really good. However, the busy atmosphere made it quite loud.

Siamo stati in questo locale per colazione. Ho preso un cappuccino e una torta alle mele ed entrambi erano buonissimi. Il locale è molto carino e ragazze che servivano erano molto gentili e nonostante fossero solo due e il locale fosse strapieno ci è arrivato tutto abbastanza velocemente.

Eigentlich ein nettes Kaffee...zunächst das positive: Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Der Kuchen (Käsekuchen, Brownie und Tiramisu) ausgezeichnet. Leider war der Kaffee (insbesondere der Espresso Latte) absolut ungenießbar.

Great breakfast and then lunch. Superb food, friendly service and comfortable too. Recommend the open sandwiches which are really very refreshing.
