Nice hipster coffee store. Good coffee, friendly service.

Very cozy place to take a break and chill. Very nice and polite staff. We ordered two hot chocolates and a chocolate muffin. Muffin a bit too sugary, but the hot chocolate felt good in the cold weather. A bit pricey but worth the visit

Had to wait more than half an hour for 2 coffees... Food arrived after 30 minutes. The drinks didn't come. very bad service and the staff kept walking around with the same coffee because they couldn't find the customers

A superb place! Best cappuccino in town! Seriously, coffee lovers, don't miss this place. The food is amazing too - the wraps were spectacular. They're fresh, very tasty and the wrap itself is thin and crispy, which makes the whole thing so much more enjoyable. It's a very decent size too, and filling. <edit: we went to Darras a few more times and the rolls were different every time, and not as good as the first time. The amount and type of even the sauces was not the same - I had a falafel roll twice and once it had some spicy sauce, but not the other one and it was quite dry. Coffee also varies slightly in quality. I would recommend standardizing at least the rolls...> The vibe is great, from decorations, to the music selection and the fact that there is a place for those who want to work on laptops, it's a place you want to go often and stay for some time. The attention to detail for coffee, food and environment is superb.

I was in doubt because it was almost closing time, luckily I was able to order something, spice chicken roll was delicious and well filled! Iced matcha latte was a little less but still tasty! Also plenty of nice places to sit, I will sit here again next time I am in Leiden.

The food and drinks from this place are good in any season. The ambience never disappoints and the service together with the food are a straight 1000/10. Definitely visit this place if you’re in for a relaxed and fun time!

Very nice place. Unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering Matcha Latte. I personally had no idea what it was. But whoever drinks this is not feeling well in their upstairs room. This has nothing to do with the store. Very nice, definitely go there. Greetings to Santa

Best Arabic date cookies in the Netherlands

Knowing Darras for the nice coffees, I wanted to try their rolls as well. Together with a friend we got a double caramel latte and a variation of the rolls. I really enjoyed the spicy beef roll due to the nice flavors and my friend liked the chicken more. The location is nice and the seats are comfortable as well, to enjoy a brunch or study. Quality/ price it was good! 5/5 stars.

It is a no brainer, that this place has the best spicy chicken roll along with tasty coffee! Staff is kind with a quick service considering the number of people it had. Highly recommend their hot coffee and their rolls!

Delicious chicken rolls, very fresh and the bread tastes really good. Portion size is good too Their signature drink dirty chai latte has a unique taste! The regular chai latte is super sweet so if if you like the classic spicy one, this isn't for you.

Coffee and food are fine. The spicy chicken rolls are well filled and prepared. (Note: they are really spicy.) They are served in a paper bag, so they are easy to take with you. This is a bit difficult to eat if you want to eat them on the spot. It is a small, simply furnished, but pleasant space with only a few tables.

Had a very nice experience, incredibly friendly service that likes to think along. Almond cookies were delicious and the chai was also a pleasure in the mouth. Thank you for this experience - where large coffee chains have missed the mark, you certainly deserve the 5 stars!

During my visit to Leiden, I discovered an exceptional café-restaurant. Located in a magnificent setting, this place stands out for its coffee with a unique and exceptional taste. The staff is courteous and attentive, offering remarkable service. The sandwich they offer is also a delight, prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients. I highly recommend this café-restaurant to all lovers of good food.

Another rubbish caffe place in town: iced cappucino no foam whatsoever, no ice crushed. Just cold milk and coffe with few scoops of ice

The food is not of good quality, the meat is almost inedible and the matcha latte is automatically served with cow's milk, while matcha is not compatible with animal milk because it loses its virtues. (Proteins called “caseins” block the action of tea)

Let’s just say that Eda was right! You will know what I mean when you visit the caffe. The place is right in market place, beautiful view to canal and we really enjoyed spicy chicken and falafel roll, too good.

Coffee shop and falafel bar are a dime a dozen. Plus point: large table to sit at with your laptop. Couple of sitting areas with comfy sofa/chairs. Drank coffee, moderate. There are better and more atmospheric places in Leiden.

Awesome chicken rolls 💯💯💯 Lacks orange juice tho 👎 Toilets were ok but a little bit sad. Made me pee shy. Would leave my man for the server, he looked so happy, i want some of that. xx

At Darras Coffee Roasters in Leiden, hospitality is central, noticeable in the friendly employees. The coffee is excellent, a real highlight for connoisseurs. Moreover, the falafel wrap, served by a very friendly man, is highly recommended!

It is a nice coffee place, very tasteful rolls and coffees. However, the service quality should be improved during the busy times, such as weekends. 2 times (in different days on the weekends), I had difficulties with my order. To give more details, my order didn't come after a long waiting in the first one, and apparently something went wrong in the kitchen (they offered me a free drink though) and in the second situation, after I gave my order, I was asked later if I want to drink/eat here again.However, I already mentioned I wanted to eat/drink in inside. It can be very busy sometimes but this isn't so nice to experience again and again.

We were very curious about this coffee shop. Ideally located in the Haarlemmerstraat with a nice menu. Coffee, rolls, pita bread and cakes. The coffee was delicious and the rolls we ordered tasted absolutely delicious. The choice is limited but sufficient in our opinion. Unfortunately the heating seemed to be off, the tables were dirty and the staff had just had their smoke break. That was a pity. We ordered a date cookie because we were very curious about it. Super tasty, but if you buy one, you won't get a piece with your coffee.

Tijdens de kerstvakantie even hier neergestreken voor een koffie met mijn zus. Allebei genoten van een smaakvolle chai latte. Chille muziek op de achtergrond, fijne sfeer.

Nice atmosphere, you have to order at the bar which is no problem of course! But the Chai latte really has a chai taste, looks like warm milk with a little cinnamon. Haven't tried the food so I can't comment on that. Who knows better next time!

Very good food and bathrooms are very clean. Only thing is that I wish they would change the playlist , a lot of old over used pop hits. I think they would with a playlist that embodies the atmosphere of the cafe. Maybe some Christmas music during the holidays. Other than that, very good cafe for working and hanging out

We went to Darras this morning with my 2-month-old son. Before ordering anything I wanted to feed my son. While feeding, a customer told me that I couldn't sit without ordering something. I indicated - albeit indignantly - that I certainly intended to do so, but wanted to feed my son first. When I walked to the cash register to order something, the gentleman kept talking to me. I heard him say I ruined the atmosphere?! Then the girl behind the counter said that I made it bigger (??), that the gentleman was already leaving and I should enjoy my tea? I then paid for the tea and left. Unbelievable and especially such a shame. I can't blame Darras for the rude customer, but I can blame the rude staff. I came there so often for a cup of coffee/lunch. Never again after today.

Below average coffee Have ordered a flat white today, I’ve surprised by the bad extraction and coffee quality, as well as how much the milk they have added. Totally a waste of coffee beans and do not be fooled by the coffee bean rosters sign, it’s definitely a low-quality-coffee shop.

We were walking casually down the busy shopping street, Haarlemmerstraat, and liked the look of this coffee shop. They have a number of bistrot type tables & chairs outside so my wife and I settled on one with our large Hovawart dog, Bero. I firstly went in to this establishment to visit the restrooms and then ordered two coffees - a latte macchiato and an iced Frappuccino. They were brought out to us a few minutes later. I'm not sure if that is normal practice here as the guy had forgotten the sugar. I guess that I should have gone and collected the coffees when prepared. Anyway, on reflection, looking at the clientele, this seemed to be a similar sort of place to a Starbucks. Most customers seemed to be young student types with many tapping away on their laptops. And why not?

Dit is al de derde keer dat we hier komen, dus je zou zeggen dat het een goed teken is :) echt een aanrader voor de ijs koffie! De broodjes zijn ook lekker alleen je moet er wel van Houden.

De spicy chicken roll (wrap) is echt fantastisch lekker! Niet te pittig, lekker gekruid. Het concept is simpel qua eten; je kiest een roll of een pita en je kunt kiezen uit een stuk of 6 vullingen. Geen gedoe, alle smaken dezelfde prijs, geen keuzestress ;) Jammer dat ik niet in leiden woon, ik was hier graag vaker gekomen :)

I never leave google reviews but this spicy chicken roll was the best I've ever had. Absolutely delicious with an actual spicy kick to it. The wrap is perfectly baked and the ingredients are super fresh. Can't recommend enough.

Delicious food and drinks, kind and hospitable staff, and a typically relaxed atmosphere. But it can get busy and loud around lunch time! Many people also come to work on their laptops. The Falafel and Spicy beef are our go-to wraps. The falafel wrap is even nice to share with our toddler. We love the date cookies and hope a 4th continues to come with each drink. But certainly love to get an extra from time to time for our little one! We have been visiting nearly every week without fail since Darras has been at this location and always look forward to our weekly visit. See you soon

Calm place, with authentic decoration. Big wooden tables, comfortable sofas and chairs. Coffee is very good. A nice place to meet friends and chat or to study and catch up with reading.

The best Arabic coffee maker is a delightful choice! 👌😋 If you're a coffee lover, I recommend ordering it without sugar to fully savor the rich flavors of Arabic coffee.

Excellent arabic coffee, and friendly staff. Unfortunately something went wrong when I ordered the spicy chicken wrap. It took a while for them to make it, and 3 wraps were served to a group that came in after me. And when I eventually got it, they made me a spicy beef wrap instead. I didn't bother correcting as I didn't want to wait even longer, and it was good, but just not what I ordered.

A great place to grab a coffee in the shopping street Haarlemmerstraat. A wonderful spot also to work for a couple of hours. Coffee is good, chai latte great on flavour but unfortunately beyond too sweet for my taste. The roll is a must. Staff is really nice and music vibe is pleasant. The only downside is that the entrance door doesn’t close properly and usually remains open — not optimal when it’s cold outside.

De koffie is super basic, niks bizonder aan de smaak. Ook niet 'duur' dus oké maar dit maak je zelf ook thuis. De top voor je beker past niet, word ook voor gewaarschuwd lol, dus lekker onhandig voor take-away, gelijk hete koffie over je hand
