The owner is very friendly! The hot chocolate here is the most special because it is made with dark chocolate, and you can specify how much dark chocolate to use. I recommend using 50% and adding milk, as using 72% cocoa powder may be too thick. In addition, the club sandwich is also very delicious, with soft bread and crispy bacon.

Service friendly. Nice place. However, if you advertise homemade cakes, you should make it clear from the selection of cakes at the counter that they are Dudok products...

The best hot chocolate in town by a mile. 6 different types all the way up to a 73% dark chocolate, add a shot of espresso and it's heaven in a glass . Service is also really friendly and quick.

Awesome chocolate treats, with everything from cakes and tarts to pralines and hot chocolate. And super friendly staff. In the right weather, you can sit at the canal and enjoy the sun, which is lovely.

Had lunch here with coffee. Simple lunch but well made, portion-wise perfect and for a good price. I also got one dark chocolate praline, which was delicious!!!

Now my favourite stop in Leiden. I have enjoyed this amaaaaaazing chocolate cheesecake and OMG! Definitely I need to taste all the menu. The broodjes are fantastic, and the team is very kind and funny. They are the best 🙌

Highly recommend! The salmon club and chocolate velvet cake were phenomenal. I enjoyed sitting outside by the canal and the staff were friendly, answering all my “where do I order?” and “do you take Visa?” questions in stride 😅. They even boxed up half my sandwich and kept it in the fridge for me until I was ready to leave.

A successful snack break in this friendly chocolate shop in the middle of our bike ride from Haarlem to Leiden! 3 slices of delicious cakes, a small comfortable bench by the canal, we recommend this address :) a big thank you!

We went to Leiden to experience "Woodstock on the Water". Unfortunately, this event was reduced to 1 day, Sunday. Now that we are in Leiden, we always stop at De Bonbonnerie to treat ourselves to a cappuccino with a delicious whipped cream meringue. It was delicious again. I can recommend it to everyone. You will enjoy it. Unfortunately, the event will not be held due to the bad weather. Shame. Looking forward to next year.

Just had lunch with my daughter. Like a home feeling, you are received so warmly. My daughter had a croquette sandwich and enjoyed it, I had a bouncer and enjoyed it too. Then we bought some delicious chocolates for home. If you are in the area, definitely have lunch there, highly recommended.

Excellent, 4 types of hot chocolate, milk, white, strong and very strong. Accompanied for excellent pastries, on the quay. Extremely friendly and smiling staff.

I have been waiting for a year for the moment when I can order that one type of egg at Easter that is not available everywhere. I search the internet to see where they can be purchased and whether they also deliver and yes it was this company. How great was my disappointment when other eggs arrived. After contact, I was allowed to keep these eggs and the good ones were still delivered. What I want to say is, now that's service, many thanks for this and definitely worth the 5 stars, highly recommended!

Delicious coffee but with apple pie from the freezer. Was cold and watery inside and in taste. ...added whipped cream that fell apart from a regular spray can. This was indicated, but this is how the apple pie would always be delivered and sold. Very pricey for what it was… 🙈 Nice to sit and have a nice pastry with coffee.

Very honest place - food and desserts were super fresh and the owner is very professional and welcoming. It’s a cozy place with warm atmosphere. It’s really worth 5 stars.

Heerlijke taart gegeten en een drankje gedronken, recht aan de gracht. Het is dat ik al geluncht had maar ik zag ondertussen heerlijke lunchgerechten voorbij komen. Vriendelijke en vrolijke man (eigenaar?) die ons hielp. Bij een volgend bezoek aan Leiden ga ik er lunchen!

Ein wirklich liebevoller und humorvoller Umgang mit den Kunden. Das Ambiente umfasst ein Innenbereich, genau so wie einen Außenbereich nah am Wasser. Der „Bluebeery Cheesecake“ ist wahrlich eine Kunst für sich, unglaublich lecker!

Sehr schönes Café. Der Kaffee schmeckt sehr lecker und der Service und das Personal sind einfach top. Gerne wieder :)

Es gibt superleckeren Kuchen. Ich kann den Blueberry Cheesecake nur empfehlen. Das Personal ist auch total sympathisch. Auf jedenfall einen Besuch wert!

If you want to sample some local beer then you must go here. The terrace is lovely. Staff are really friendly. We wanted to have some beer and chocolate together and they obliged...the chocolate was so good we took a box away with us!

UPDATE: This time in English today I revisited my favorite chocolate shop the shop has been closed for the whole month of January but i didn’t knew why… surprise surprise today I found it reopens completely redecorated and refurbished with a slight name change it’s now called Bonbonnerie Chocolate Bar and it looks great. And still the best chocolate shop in the area. Marvelous hand made and created chocolate creations. Indrukwekkend deze Bonbonnerie & Tearoom in Ermelo ! Van Ingang, Winkel, Tearoom tot Toiletten- ziet alles er Piekfijn uit. Assortiment dat aangeboden wordt is enorm. Een doosje met gevarieerde bonbons aangeschaft en mijn vrouw was onder indruk. Smaken, Omhulsel en Vullingen voortreffelijk ! Geweldig en gesitueerd naast Heren modezaak Klapwijk. Aanbeveling ! B.B. We came to Leiden 09-04-2022 for some pie. The friendly chocolatier and owner (?) told us he gets them from different sources around town. Black velvet and tiramisu were both very nice, but the homemade chocolates stole the show, absolutely delicious!

Wauw, simpelweg, wauw. Naast de klantvriendelijkheid, want die was uitstekend, waren alle verschillende bonbons (en geloof me, ik heb er veel geprobeerd) verrukkelijk. Mijn favoriet waren de bonbons met marsepein erin, maar nogmaals, ze waren allemaal heerlijk en dat voor een eerlijke prijs!

De foto’s van het assortiment ogen al heerlijk. En als je de doos bonbons eenmaal in huis hebt proef je dat je ogen niet hebben gelogen. Heerlijk! Glanzende, knapperige chocola. Zalige vullingen. Een échte aanrader!

Aardige eigenaar , goede producten ! Alleen de aangepaste sluitingstijden ( tijdens vakantie en corona ) niet aangepast op google , dus stond 2x voor een dichte deur . Maar daarmee vergaat de wereld niet
