Club sandwich with a sprinkle of racism. Went with my family to have a quick meal, the workers visibly didn’t seem to like us. As an Arab, l’ve already experienced enough racism, but they could’ve at least served the unheated tasteless cheese sandwich with a fake expression instead of a disgusted look. I never write reviews on google maps, but this just pissed me off. One of the employees broke a cup of glass near our table, they cleaned up almost all of it except for the shattered pieces on our side. Overall, the food wasn’t even good. As for the cheese sandwich I’ve mentioned before, you could salt your bread for a similar experience. Ordered two pieces of bread with jelly and cheese, they served us two dry pieces of bread before we had to ask them where the jelly and cheese were at, seriously man? Not only the food is bad, the service is way worse. Had to wait for almost an hour just to get my food which was left there at the counter right in front of me. A white couple sat down half an hour after we ordered our food and they got their food way before us.. We had a little bit of food left so we asked for takeaway, the lady who works there threw the sauces on our food and ruined it. If I could rate zero stars I would’ve already done that. You guys need to pay attention to who you’re employing.

Nicely surprised, the italian club sandwich was delicious and big and the ice capuccino with oat milk was well prepared too. I read here some bad reviews about service but we were well treated :) I guess it’s all about avoiding busy hours. I recommend it for a brunch or just coffee, many other drinks available too

I was really disappointed with the service during my recent visit. We waited over 30 minutes just for a soup and sandwich, which then arrived wrong. It took them another 5 minutes to realize the mistake, but they didn’t offer to fix it. I accepted it as it was, but when it came time to pay, I only wanted to pay for what I actually ate—not what was originally ordered but never received correctly. Unfortunately, the payment process was also very slow, and I ended up just paying the full amount out of frustration. I generally like Anne Max, but this experience was the worst I've had there. Hopefully, service improves soon.

I read the reviews too late. Ordered sandwiches and had to wait a very long time. It was quiet in the restaurant and on the patio. After a while, I asked inside and sure enough, the sandwiches were ready (along with three other orders that were already waiting). All that was left was the cutlery. When the sandwiches arrived, the guy told us to eat with our hands because the cutlery was in the dishwasher! But the spicy chicken was cold! (Not surprising if it's been sitting on the pass for fifteen minutes or more). He wanted to heat it up a bit, right? We paid for our drinks and moved on.

Long waits for food. Many dishes were sold out or the chef was apparently ill, and there were only a few options. Our son's allergies were difficult to handle with the waiter, as he wasn't really familiar with the menu himself. I wouldn't recommend it.

The service was friendly, but very inexperienced and chaotic. The young team clearly lacks direction: my club chicken sandwich had no chicken, the summer bowl tasted like a ready-made salad, and the focaccia from "Anne's wat" was overcooked and therefore too hard. I previously ate at the Amsterdam branch, which was good; unfortunately, the quality here is lower, and therefore the price-quality ratio is skewed. With an experienced manager and better guidance, this young team can still grow significantly—the intention and potential are certainly there.

Anne & Max in Halfweg – once, never again Anne & Max in Halfweg is absolutely not recommended. The food is mediocre, but the service is especially bad. Upon arrival, the QR code system seems efficient, but that quickly proves to be a sham. You order via your phone, and then nothing happens for a long time. After an eternity, a couple of drinks arrive. The sandwiches don't arrive for over half an hour, and even then, only after we had to ask for them twice. Moreover, the apple pie was partially frozen – a sad low point. Paying through the system? Forget it. You still have to queue at the cash register. And if you honestly say you were disappointed, the excuse you get is that they're "understaffed." Meanwhile, there were at least eight people walking around – the problem is clearly not a shortage of staff, but a complete lack of organization and management. In a restaurant of this size, you can easily run it with four people – if you know what you're doing. But at Anne & Max, chaos, slowness, and a lack of clarity are the order of the day. For me, it's simple: I'm never coming back. Anne & Max? Skip it. A waste of time and money. I'll avoid this place in the future and, unfortunately, I can't recommend it to anyone.

Never experienced such terrible service. It was very quiet, but everything took ages. We took a table outside, and there were dirty tables everywhere, dishes still on them. No one came outside; the staff were on their phones and chatting. Inside, all the tables were dirty as well. We went inside to ask if we could order; someone was supposed to come to us, but that didn't happen. Ordering via QR code wasn't possible either, because everything was sold out. We went back inside after fifteen minutes and ordered there. We had ordered sweets for three people, but received something for two. The food arrived first, and drinks 10 minutes later. The staff is unfriendly and doesn't engage with the customers. A truly terrible experience. We'll never be back.

The staff there work against each other instead of together. This creates a rather unfriendly atmosphere, and you notice that as a customer. When you try to order at the cash register, you're told, in rather unfriendly terms, to use the QR code on the table. When you then explain that it doesn't work, it suddenly turns out you can order at the cash register after all.

Ordered a smoked tofu sandwich with "pickled seasonal vegetables and grilled courgette" but that was missing, there was only some tomato and cucumber instead. Very little smoked tofu too. Not what you want after waiting more than 40 minutes for a sandwich. There was also a large piece of wood from a broken skewer in the bread that I hurt my tooth on. Bizarre actually, for 14.50.

The place is good- right at the entrance (Paris from Parking). On a weekday is less busy and is comfortable to sit and take a break from shopping. You can place order for your table by scanning its own QR code. Just after lunch time (~around 13h-14h) is when requested Focaccia-Chicken peri peri , Croissant Pistache as well as Croissant Dubai Chocolate- they were amazing. Nice and very friendly staff. Outside seating is a pleasure.

No toilets in the catering establishment. Have to use the public toilets in the stairwell parking garage. Asked if there were toilets and got a rude answer and they had to go to the parking garage themselves. Not like sorry can't do anything about it or something. Very mediocre experience and very expensive. This was another confirmation that you should not order matcha at a place that only follows the trend. It was undrinkable! The cappuccino was also tasteless. My partner and I eat vegan. A search had already shown that Anne & Max had vegan food. However, this is inedible. We had ordered the Kas and the bread had seeds, which was not mentioned and I hate. The bread was limp and tasted like it came from the supermarket. And that for 15 euros! You also get 3 rolls on top of each other, which results in a mouth gagging session. The flavors of the filling were nice in themselves but very sour and that surpassed the rest of the flavors. In addition to my comically worded review, I do agree that this is not recommended. All together it was 37 euros, which I really did not think was worth it. In addition, the staff was friendly. My goodness, I know the pool is thin in terms of catering staff, but I haven't experienced this in a long time. No leadership in the “chaos” (even though it was not busy), everyone just does what they want. Tables dirty, guests walking away because they don't know they have to order via a QR. Staff looking at the floor or their order screen instead of making eye contact. No atmosphere and radio too soft. This is a very strange experience. There are many opportunities for new catering entrepreneurs to fill this gap!

I normally don't write reviews. But sometimes the experience is so special that you have to share it with the world. I like the Anne & Max concept. Nothing more than positive experiences in Haarlem. I have been to the outlet once and went to this concept “again” with confidence. Until now it has never happened that they have everything on the menu. This can absolutely happen once, but so far it has happened every visit: cake not in stock, milk out, no iced tea, etc. I understand the tightness on the labor market, but the service is shocking. With or without a cap. Went again two weeks ago, because “familiar”. Once again a pastry out of stock. The dirty chai latte looked like anything but a dirty chai latte. The barista profession is a skill that the employees of this branch do not master. A baby chino was brought in a glass of warm milk. I had to come up with the foam myself, so I told my two-year-old that too. Just think of the foam yourself. By the way, there was no coffee in the chai latte, so apart from the service there was nothing dirty about it. When I had to pay €25 for one lemonade, espresso, apple pie from the freezer and chai latte, I had a stroke. When I had paid properly without making a fuss, because I was a “neat customer” and I told my wife how much I paid, I got turned around and had to go back. And rightly so, because I paid for a “jug” of chai. When I asked for money back this was quite a task. Besides the, in my opinion, brutality of the employee, I also had to "fight" not to get my money back in 10, 20 and 50 cents. What a long story. In any case, if you want good food, drinks and decent service, don't go to this branch. Starbucks and Coffe Fellows (or something like that) are a better alternative. Greetings!

Very mediocre. Had to wait 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches even though it wasn't exactly busy. Ordered an energy smoothie, but it turned out to be sold out...I received a (cheaper) orange juice as an alternative. When paying, the more expensive smoothie was on the receipt. When asking for the difference back, the response was very irritated and the amount was returned with pain and effort (from the tip jar). There were 2 other people at the cash register who also did not have a correct receipt. Pretty special. The sandwiches we ordered, at €16.50 each, were fine, but certainly not worth €16.50.

I didn't feel taken seriously at all with my sesame allergy!! When I came in, I first asked if they had an allergy card or if anyone could tell me something about this. Clearly indicated the seriousness of the fact that I have epipens and that I have to go to hospital due to... anaphylactic shock if I ingest 1. Couldn't find the allergy list. 2. Ordered coffee, but after 20 minutes no coffee, it was not continued. Then coffee within 5 minutes. 3. The worst part was that I had coffee with a cookie, and there were loose sesame seeds on my saucer. Sorry, how meticulously do you work when this has all been made clear to you in advance. The good man could not guarantee me whether it would not accidentally be in the coffee itself. The only thing that was said afterwards, we don't know how it ended up on a platter. How seriously someone's allergy is taken! We left and we were wished a nice day. It was a very special sensation. Never again Anne&Max The Style for us!!!

A nice tent in itself. I like to visit the outlet stores when I'm in the area. This is actually the only normal lunch place there. I think the prices are a bit on the high side for the service you get. The quality is actually very variable. Sometimes you get really excellent help, but there are also a number of people who are not suitable for the catering industry. This is a broader problem, not just this case. They do have a changing menu and every now and then there are really tasty and unusual things. Fruit shakes are delicious.

Unfortunately, I only give this place 1 star. I gave it a chance a few times, but was disappointed every time. The service is terrible. It takes a very long time before your order is taken (if anyone comes at all). At 4:00 PM we wanted to order something, but were told that there were only cakes left. While the menu clearly states in one category: ALL DAY. And at another part from 3 p.m. This is worthless. Hopefully something else will take its place soon. Update: Gosh, you'd think they would do something about the quality after such bad reviews.

It's not worthy of Anne and Max. I don't experience the same quality. Winter day salad was so bad. I wouldn't advise my friends to come and eat here. If you don't believe, go eat here yourself. And you can also eat a sandwich for €12. You pay for a thick slice of dough with cheese in between. The rest according to the menu which should be tasty was not available. Why would you open a restaurant if you can't deliver anything?

The Winter Day consisted of a bowl full of iceberg lettuce, literally four pieces of pumpkin and a meager amount of filling. No dressing, no flavorful additions – just dry lettuce with a few stray ingredients. And that for €15.25?! Ridiculous. Fortunately, the Feta Couscous tasted better, but again the portion was far too small. Only a thin layer of couscous in the bowl, which is really not justified for the same €15.25. The only bright spot? The cappuccino – good in taste and beautifully creamy. But I definitely wouldn't come back here for a decent lunch. The price-quality ratio is completely lost.

From the outside this restaurant looks like a cozy place, inside it is decorated with beautiful decoration. Unfortunately, you will find a QR code on the table with which you can order impersonally via a website. Tip: order drinks first, then choose something you want to eat, because delivery takes a very long time (15 minutes for 2x hot chocolate with whipped cream). More than half of the food menu was no longer available. I admit, that can happen from time to time and it is also sad for the restaurant if there are delivery problems and can only say 'no' to customers. It then took more than 25 minutes for the food to arrive, even though we ordered it at the same time as the drinks. A "Van Anne's Wat" and a "Focaccia Double Cheese with extra dried free-range ham". First of all the Focaccia. It was cold, scanty and tasteless. The focaccia itself was okay, but the combination was a real disappointment. From Anne's What wasn't very good either. The soup was lukewarm, the richly filled side salad consisted of 60% tomato or tomato juice. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not exactly convince. I had not heard of the restaurant chain myself, and after this first experience I will avoid it from now on.

We thought we would have a nice lunch at Anne & Max in SugarCity on Sunday January 26, but unfortunately this was a big disappointment. This can absolutely not be called a lunchroom, and I advise everyone not to eat or drink here. First of all, we had to wait 20 minutes for just two drinks. We also ordered two "Super Club" sandwiches (over €16 each), but these were tasteless and definitely not worth the money. To make matters worse, it took over 35 minutes for these to be served. For a simple lunch this is unacceptable. What made it worse was the rudeness of the service. A dark-skinned gentleman gave us a shrug of the shoulders, "sorry, it might take a while" as an explanation. This definitely did not feel like an appropriate way to interact with guests. Plus, half the menu was unavailable – how can you run a catering business if you don't stock even the most basic items? Even a hot chocolate was not available. This clearly points to poor organization and a lack of catering experience. The concept of Anne & Max seems promising, but the execution at this location is downright poor. A lunchroom should provide speed, hospitality and quality, but that is completely lacking here. We will never return here, and I advise others to do the same - unless you have tons of time on your hands and don't care about taste or service. Anne & Max in SugarCity is, simply put, not recommended

Long wait for your Latte caramel. You are told that it is busy when you ask after 20 minutes if you can still get your Latte. There were at most 25 customers inside. In the end you get your Latte and it is not warm. To stir the caramel deliciously into your Latte, you could do this with a tea spoon. There were no longer spoons available. And the clean dishes were not checked, as a courtesy. So stir with your finger. The staff was more busy talking to each other than helping customers. When asked if payment could be made immediately, another colleague would come with the PIN device. Finally I walked to the cash register myself. Unfortunately a bad experience here.

It took a very long time before we could order. Then waited 35 minutes for two latte macchiato. Approached the wait staff, they said, sorry, it is busy, it will take a little longer. There were enough staff, they just work poorly. It wasn't really busy, everyone had to wait a long time Many people walked away angry. We finally got the coffee in a tall glass, with a small spoon. I finally went to the counter and asked for a long spoon, and was told we don't have one at the moment. So stir the coffee with your fingers 🤦 The spoons had to be taken from the kitchen afterwards, the man apparently didn't feel like doing that. He didn't feel like doing anything at all, he spoke very moody. Coffee was lukewarm. Paid €10.00 😳 I would have given it if the service had been normal and the coffee had been hot. They all seem to earn it too easily. They also didn't care that people walked away angry. We will NEVER go here again

Afgelopen vrijdag 2x geweest. Er is maar één mogelijkheid om te zitten en een koffie/ drankje te doen, dus geen keus. Het ziet er op het eerste gezicht leuk uit. Personeel overdag was best vriendelijk maar wat ik wilde bestellen was op. 2e wat ik bestelde ook. Koffie wat goed te drinken. In de namiddag ben ik terug gegaan omdat ik op mijn partner daar zou wachten. Ik heb er 20 min.gezeten maar er kwam niemand. (6 man personeel stond niks te doen) Erwas wel een muis die de hele tijd bij mijn tafel liep. Later ergens anders gaan zitten en een borrelplankje vast besteld ( ben maar eens naar iemand toe gelopen) want de keuken ging sluiten. Ik een wijntje. Partner komt binnen en wil graag een rood wijntje erbij. Die was op. Dan maar borrelen zonder borrel. Borrelplank duurde 25 min.en was matig. Paar stukjes gefritiirde bloemkool en de rest brood met dipje en een paar plakjes rauwe ham. Ondertussen werden, om ons heen, de tafels schoongemaakt, stoelen aangeschoven, alle levensverhalen besproken en geen enkele blik naar de klant. Na aangeven dat er steeds een muis liep, ik 20 min moest wachten en maar zelf ging bestellen , dat de borrelplank niet zo lekker was zonder wijntje, en ik 3x iets besteld had wat op was, reageerde de vriendelijke jonge meid achter de kassa dat ze het door zou geven. Fijn! Ik kom hier iig nooit meer. Wat een aanfluiting.

Normally I never write a review, but this is my worst food experience ever. We had to wait 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Pesto was out, so there was very little to order at all (you can still have this in stock at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, right?). So the salmon sandwich was without pesto and a very thin layer of cream cheese = tasteless sandwich. My girlfriend had a burata sandwich again without pesto, but we did find a piece of salmon on it. So it seems that different types of sandwiches are topped with the same knife. Besides this, the sandwiches are ridiculously expensive. Service was also top notch. Wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here

We went there during the weekend and was SO disappointed! The staff were incredibly unpleasant, ignore our request about food allergies (and made twice mistakes!). They also decided to close earlier than stated on the website and what was said to us while we entered, which made them kick us (and 2 other tables) 15 minutes later. Would not recommend at all! Nothing gluten free (even not what stated in the menu).

We first came here around lunch time, but it turned out that the kitchen was closed all day. A bit special, but let's look elsewhere. Later in the afternoon we walked in again to have a drink. When we entered we first had to move because we were no longer allowed to sit in a certain part, only to discover that there were no smoothies or hot chocolate with whipped cream available. We were told all this in a nasty way by the staff (very arrogant and no apology or anything). I work in the catering industry myself and don't often complain... but I would quickly pass by this place! There is a much better tent a little further on.

What bad Anne and Max, not used to them! I noticed it for the second time now. More than 4 people in front of the bar (chatting) and 4 behind it, no one did anything and they were chaining together. There were also some people walking around for what? The ordering app wasn't working and everyone in the room was just waiting. Lots of dirty tables everywhere. Uninterested young lady eventually came to the table, atmosphere also bad, no attention for customers at all. They were completely rudderless and without any direction. And so everyone just came to the bar to order and pay and then they looked at you strangely. 1 man without Anne and Max clothes and who had just started and spoke little Dutch was working hard. But was also sent everywhere. And the rest could then continue chatting. Only he was super friendly and attentive. Part of the business was also closed (why, staff was sitting?) and it didn't look good there. I wonder if this business belongs to an entrepreneur....

Unwelcoming and Weird Vibe - Unless drastic changes are made, I cannot recommend visiting this location. I do love this franchise, everything always tastes good. Unfortunately, I can’t say that I love this location. I’ve visited 3x, each time I was disappointed. It seems the staff at this specific location are not trained in how to deliver service (this coming from a customer service expert). Plus, the unwelcoming atmosphere and strange policies don’t align with the standards of this franchise. Do you review your staff? Can customers leave feedback for improvement? And before you respond with a somewhat tailored but mostly generic response and ask me to send you an email, respond and share how you will make changes, and actually do it. First Visit - We sat outside because the indoor seating was full. No waiter came to take our order so we went inside, only to be told we had to order at the counter and that drinks would be served in takeaway cups because “waiters don’t go outside.” I felt unwelcome and as if I was an inconvenience. Second Visit - This time, we were inside, but many seating areas were blocked off. Once we found a table, no one came to take our order. So we tried ordering at the counter, to no avail. We were asked to return to our seats and wait for service. Shortly after someone came to take our order, but the server was unfriendly, impatient, and entirely disengaged. The staff seemed annoyed and inconvenienced by our presence. Also, an employee slammed the front doors, likely in frustration because a customer had left them open. We were shocked by this. Is passive aggressiveness a new form of customer service? Drinks arrived quickly, but when we asked the waitress a question, she mumbled an inaudible response while walking away. Is lack of eye contact and ignoring customers the new standard? Even though closing time was at 8 PM that Saturday, we felt pressured to leave when it was only 6pm. Third Visit - We arrived at 5:30 PM (on a weekday), looking forward to our favorite warm drinks after work. A staff member (whom we mistook for a customer, as she had her bag and jacket on) informed us that only cold drinks were available and that the remaining staff member would return “in 30 minutes” to serve us. You’re joking right? This day you closed at 6 PM. Unsurprisingly, we left without ordering. On our way out, we noticed a sour, musty odor. As if the floors had been mopped with dirty water. This unpleasant smell has been a constant on all three visits. Why does this place always smell bad? Huge fan of the franchise, please take my experience seriously and improve this location.

The person who served me kept telling me to get my drink myself despite trying to order a hot coffee. This might be because she was on the phone while serving. The coffee was okay but nothing special. I noticed them turning customers away an hour before advertised closing time. The charging ports for phones did not work.
