Steakhouse Daan in Nieuw-Vennep

Waited more than an hour and a half for 2 Turkish pizzas and fries, for which the estimated delivery time on Thuisbezorgd is 25-45 minutes. The fries appeared to have been fried in old oil for too long.

My husband and I ate here for the first time, but certainly not the last. Everything was good: the food and the people who work there are very friendly. We felt like we were coming home.

I have order one thing on the menu and they have the odacity to bring me something else without even calling and asking, if was OK with the change, beariang in mind that was a prepaid order. I do not recommend this restaurant at all

Delivered way too late, extremely unfriendly people, best to order somewhere else!

I ordered on the late evening of 28/04 and it arrived beginning 29/04. The time they gave to wait was an accurate 50 minutes and also warm when it arrived, drink was nicely cold. I ordered the Maxi Mixed Grill which was 21 euros and added garlic sauce and an energy drink. The spareribs meat came clean off of the bone like in the picture. There is some excess oil on the bottom of the tray but that’s alright to mix with the garlic sauce. It had a lot of taste, the chicken was nice and the other meat too. Fries are nice and crispy, good salted too. They also check the delivery notes where I told them to call my phone number because it was late and called my number. For me it’s definitely worth ordering again!

Terrible business. This lasagna was made like a bowl of soup. I ordered food for delivery with a margin of well over an hour and a half, and it was still 40 minutes late. You try to call them, first they don't answer for a long time, then they offer no solution and say no refund but want to give a “discount” on the next order after I indicated I never want to eat here again. The fries were undercooked, the meat was so tough it was clearly reheated in the microwave. If I could give a lower rating I would have done so. What a terrible place, rude staff, bad food. Do not order here!!!!

Ordered a ribeye steak. The most disgusting piece of meat I have ever eaten. You can't sell it like this. Not cooked properly at all, nasty spices, and cold. I certainly would not recommend ordering food here.

It was super delicious again, the delivery was fantastic, the girl was lovely. The food was truly amazing. I recommend it to everyone. If you're craving ribs and fries, Daan Nieuwvennep is the place to be. A big five stars.

What a crap place this is... Ordered at 5:45 PM and it wasn't delivered until two hours later. Three pizzas, not too difficult, you'd think. Called an hour later, "Oh yeah, sorry, didn't see the receipt, I'm going to start now." Wow! 60 minutes later, "Yeah, sorry, we're having trouble contacting the delivery driver." They finally delivered the pizzas, no apology, nothing. Lukewarm pizzas, kids getting all worked up. Another Ali Baba who thinks he can make Italian pizzas. What a sad sack.

Had to wait an awfully long time. Called a second time, and the employee simply hung up. I regret not having looked at the reviews more closely.

I ordered at 11 p.m. for midnight. Now it's 12:30 a.m. I called three times, but they didn't answer. Unreliable home care.

Very expensive and very bad food, just ordered a kapsalon and a Turkish pizza with chicken donner and I'm already on the toilet, it took about 20 minutes for it to start bubbling in my stomach, I had to throw everything away, don't order from here!!!!

Terrible, the most undercooked, strange-tasting, oddly cut pizza I ate. I ordered two croquettes, but got one and three bitterballen, just as a surprise. The pizzas were also lukewarm. First time ordering here, and the last. Not worth it.

I ordered food for my boyfriend and me. I'm seriously ill, he takes care of me every day, and I wanted to surprise him. I ordered his favorite. I paid top dollar, but I figured we should celebrate life while we still can. The T-bone steaks were raw, the other so overcooked you could break your jaw on them—terribly tough and dry, simply inedible. The herb butter with the baguette looked more like mold. I ordered ice cream and received something completely different than what I ordered, plus an extra that I apparently paid for but didn't order. I could have thrown everything away, which was so frustrating. The sweet message I'd written with my boyfriend's order wasn't even included; they simply tore off the receipt. Terrible experience. I hope I can get my money back, since I could have thrown everything away. And give them a tip: hire my boyfriend, who can cook. Or please close the place down. This is just truly outrageous. I've spoken to the manager now, and I understand where the staff's rude behavior came from. They refused to refund me, yelled at me on the phone, and told me sad stories. Of course, they played the racism card, because if you say anything about someone's rude behavior, you're immediately considered a racist as a Dutch person. It's very intimidating to not listen to the customer. Well, this guy can have his fun. He's been warned, he's got a bailiff on his back, the food authorities were there, and I'm going to get a lawyer involved to claim damages for food poisoning. I tried to resolve it amicably, but unfortunately, that's not possible in this place. I advise everyone against ordering from or coming here, what an antisocial bunch. I could tell you a whole story about it, maybe I will, but I'll put my full story about how I was treated on the main page as a newspaper article. Perhaps there are programs that might want to do something with this. I could also play the voice messages they left. The gentleman says so, but I have plenty of connections: newspapers, radio, TV. My boyfriend and I have worked as assistant chefs, so I can already tell you this place is going to be closed because I've never experienced anything this bad. So if you're reading this, know that the manager I spoke to won't get away with it this time. And of course, he claims to have never had any complaints. The food is always good, right? Read the reviews. I'm going to get justice for all these people who are also victims of your case.

Ordered for the first and last time. No pita bread came with my order, soggy fries, and the promised lamb chop was just a piece of ground lamb. Too bad, it looked good when I ordered.

I will spare you the drama, food is truly awful, lots of oil and no taste. It was dramatic! I advise you to eat somewhere else! And I would definitely not order the spareribs.

Order your baguette with herb butter and you get pita bread with snot. Order a pizza from Daan and you get a mountain of toppings on a cold pizza. What a shame.

It really wasn't tasty!!! My friend had a Turkish pizza “doner” even though there was no döner in it at all… It was completely wet on the outside too… I ordered pasta Quattro formaggi. Instead I had dry old pasta that had been sitting there for a long time with a white sauce that didn't even taste like cheese with melted cheese on top that was quickly thrown on top. I don't know where the 4 cheeses were hidden, but not in that pasta... In addition, you would think with a pita cheese, you wouldn't think much could go wrong, but it tasted like it had been there for a while! Don't order food here!

I had to wait 2 hours for my delivery so I called and they had the nerve to use Ramadan as an excuse why my food is taking so long, the spear ribs was terrible too. 20,50 euro for such a terrible taste

Had various food delivered from Daan for the first time. The salami pizza was not entirely to our taste (maybe the dough was undercooked or the cheese was too much, hence one less star for the food), but the spare ribs were very tasty! We ordered the mix 2 menu (spare ribs and shawarma), unfortunately we did not receive the shawarma. The delivery also included delicious fries and a baguette with herb butter! But after making a phone call to Steakhouse Daan, a gentleman (with an accent) responded in a very friendly and understanding manner and neatly indicated that a mistake had been made. A shawarma sandwich would be delivered afterwards. We got much more! Lots of shawarma and 4 rolls and sauces and even a dessert! Where else can you find this? What a service! Real compliments. We will definitely order spare ribs and shawarma here more often!

In one word: GODDAMN! 30€ for a lukewarm almost warm carpaccio and the shrimps were like rubber sticks. Baguette old and dry with a small tub of butter for 3.50. Threw half away, a waste of money. never again!

On 20-08-2024 I placed an order at 00.03, namely a round steak for 19 euros. with 6 chicken nuggets. And for 19 euros I expect a good piece of steak. But I don't know what I got but it didn't look like steak at all. It was a nasty piece of ''meat'' that could be mashed. I've never experienced being able to mash a steak. The disgusting taste and smell was uncontrollable, so disgusting that even the dog didn't want it. In the comments box I had put whether they did not want to ring the doorbell because people were sleeping there, and what happens? The doorbell is ringing! What do I put it there for? Normally I order the spare ribs here, but I won't do that anymore. I am quite disappointed with this order. So I don't order anymore.

First of all I cannot believe that they even dare to sell a pizza that tastes like a wet carton box. I cannot even recommend this to my worst enemy. Secondly, the service i have gotten while ordering was one of the worst experiences in my life. I waited 2+ hours for 2 pizza‘s that were neither fresh nor cut. Horrible. After waiting 2.5 hours I received what was supposed to be a pizza. It was a slab of dough with cheese and way too many herbs. Tomato sauce was nowhere to be seen and the ice cream had melted. Were also unable to be reached by telephone

I ordered a meal from Ubereats. I waited over an hour for the food to arrive. I called their number, and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude. He shouted, said he was busy, and hung up. Nonetheless, the food is so-so and not as expected; the portion is large but lacks flavor.

This was terrible. Pita bread was black, chicken nuggets cold and got 3 leaves of lettuce on my hair salon. Meat tasted weird so I didn't dare eat it. I called, this gentleman was very unfriendly and mentioned a different name of a customer. He claimed I was and when I tried to explain he said "just act normal". I will never order from here again!

Absurdly poor price-quality ratio! You order pita with cheese but you don't get any sauce with it. Only the hair salon is equipped with a meager salad and sauce... unappetizing hair salon too! Nice and easy to just fill the container with Flemish fries instead of Döner. The above for a ridiculous price, so never again!

What a remarkable delivery time, we ordered at 6:30 PM and finally received a call at 9:00 PM. It is unclear that they have to call when they are in front of the fence. Bad communication, but the garlic sauce was fine. Spare ribs dry. Never again!

Had een tijdje terug hier besteld was voor de aangeven tijd hier. Eten zelf was nog warm en vers.

De spareribs waren heel goed, de patat lekker naar de t-bone steak was eigenlijk niet te eten. Veel te gaar en daardoor droog. Ik had zalm van de gril, deze was ook prima. Jammer van de steaks.

Het eten was goed, maar beetje weinig voor wat je betaalt.

Spareribs waren wel goed. De rest was niet te eten. Pizza en pasta waren waarschijnlijk ooit een keer gemaakt en nu opgewarmd. Droog en smaakloos. Meestal zijn wij geen moeilijke eters maar dit is de kliko ingegaan.

Vanavond een bestelling laten bezorgen: een Turkse pizza kipshoarma, een broodje dunner, twee shoarmaschotels en friet voor vier personen. Zeer smakelijk gegeten. Complimenten. Goed verpakt, warm, vers en meer dan genoeg. Sausjes, salades, prima. Een aanrader.

Scampies in knoflook en mixed grill spare ribs/shoarma besteld. Wilde ze eerst alleen mailen maar geen mailadres en belletje verwachtte ik weinig van.... Scampies zagen er niet uitnodigend uit maar ook smakeloos. Friet als slappe vaatdoek, altijd probleem bij bezorgen maar kan beter. Ribs wisselend flauw en wat smaakvoller, shoarma redelijk. Wel alles compleet en ruim voldoende. Verwacht geen resto kwaliteit maar dit moet beter.

alles tip top in orde hier op de ruigenhoek eten kwam op tijd spareribs waren boven verwachting. ook de kapsalon was verrukkelijk. enigste puntje het had iets warmer gekund. maar ondanks een stevige borrel op te hebben een beste hap. zeker een dikke 10 voor deze tent ik zal zeker nog een keer bestellen bij Daan.

Super fijn gegeten op 25-07-2020

Falafel en pita's waren goed. Patat was slap en de kipshoarma was buitenproportioneel veel, hard en droog. Erg jammer, misschien dat we het over een paar maanden nog een kans geven.

Eten was heerlijk bedankt. 😃 Bezorger was ook vriendelijk. Het was er in 35 min.

Over het algemeen ben ik erg kritsch maar mijn laatste bestelling bij daan is echt een pluim waard. Spareribs met extra marinade gevraagd. Het was voortreffelijk, het vlees viel van t bot, zo mals, heerlijke marinade, patat, stokbrood erbij. Bezoring was nog binnen de aangegeven tijd. Dit is de kwaliteit die ik graag zie. Echt super gedaan!

Works fine through thuisbezord.nl Chicken shoarma - more meat than fits in 2 bread that come with it. May as well order 2 extra bread - of save the rest for later. The extra french bread and garlic is kind of pointless though. I'd much rather have an extra pita instead.
