They are thieves, if you check your bill later you will see a 10% tip item just for the counter sales.

I ate at Schiphol Plaza. It was a place near McDonald's. It was just awful. €16 for a slice of "pizza." The pizza is basically just a piece of bread with cheese, and if you want prosciutto, they put ham on it and then bake it. The taste wasn't terrible, but I think it's ridiculous to pay that much for something like that.

Interesting selection of baked good. Overall the goat cheese sandwich was ok. The staff are a bit rude so not very pleasant to deal with.

Racially abused by two members of staff. Refused to accept my verbal complaint and told me it had to be in writing, explained I was dyslexic and was still told no and they laughed. Im sure they calls are recorded.

€7.50 for two slices of bread. What a disappointment. Delicious-looking, generously filled sandwiches with egg and bacon turn out to be nothing more than a deceptive sandwich.

Very rude and dismissive service provided by the associate at the cafe/billing counter. Charged us for coffee and food, then told us to wait for the items and also mentioned that she will call us when things were ready. I was waiting for the items and she doesn't call me. Instead just left the coffees on the side of the counter. I had to personally go and check with her to make sure if they were for us or someone else. She then dismissively says it is for us without even looking at me. Her behavior was not the same with the rest of the customers, where she would actually hand the items to them personally. After the coffees, I was waiting for the Muffins we ordered but she doesn't give them. I had to go ask again about the muffins and she says just grab them yourself from the front without even giving me a plate. She served the other customers muffins and desserts on plates personally. Is it that if someone doesn't look European or is not White, the service differs at this cafe ? That too in one of the busiest International Airports on the planet ?

One cash register. 20 people in line. Because the pizza is being heated up, you're waiting in line too long. Ordering coffee is only possible through the same single line.

Big Bites & Beer Schipol: First impression was really bad, as the girl in the counter just left without excusing herself or saying anything - in the middle of an on going order. When changing counter, the man apologized saying she was having a lot on her mind...(!) Well, while at work, the customers are the only things she should worry about! Next, after 40 minutes(!) of waiting, I had to go to the food pick up and ask for our 2 burgers. The cook excused herself, saying she had a busy day, and gave me 2 burgers, but not the ones ordered. Whatever, we had to eat before our flight took off. Disastrous experience!

We've ended up at Schiphol Plaza again! The Panorama Restaurant, I'll just review via HMSHost. (I've been used to the prices at Schiphol for years now) Friendly staff, one of whom was being trained.

Absolutely disgraceful. I was blatantly double charged for a bottle of water, and when I caught it, the cashier admitted it — but then told me they “can’t do refunds” and that I have to email the company myself. What kind of scam is this? This is not just incompetence — it feels deliberate. And after checking the reviews, I’m not even surprised anymore. So many people report the same thing: double charging, refusal to refund, and total lack of responsibility. This is clearly a pattern. This place is dishonest and shameless. I will be filing a formal complaint with consumer protection services. I suggest others do the same. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being ripped off and disrespected.

⸻ Very disappointing experience at HMS Host kiosk B-29 (Schiphol) I ordered a cup of coffee at kiosk B-29 (HMS Host at Schiphol), but received a lukewarm to cold coffee. When I went back to the counter to report this, the employee responded that he could only add some hot water — no apology, no replacement, no solution. I didn't pay for a cup of lukewarm coffee with hot water. This is not a service you would expect at an international airport. Very bad experience and absolutely not customer friendly.

Look after! Tips are collected without you realizing it. 2 sandwiches and then collect a 10 euro tip. Shameful way of doing things.

I ate a salmon sandwich from this place and got food poisoning from it. That sandwich, not recommended since they will be using spoiled salmon.

Skip. Lady put my order in wrong, chicken vs cheese burger. Cook proceeded to yell at me and everyone else over it. Just make the burger like this is not a life altering event. Tasted terrible.

Also paid an unsolicited tip of €2.37 for 2 cappuccinos that were already €4.95 p. piece costs. According to the staff, I had clicked on the tip button myself while paying contactlessly with my watch. Unfortunately, there is no cash available, so you either have to take “something” with you or leave your IBAN. Very strange turn of events...

I went to the smaller one at Gate 6 and the young guy who worked there was wonderfully polite and helpful, great experience in such a rushed place

I had an awful experience with a musty lady, she was so lazy & insisted on serving me a beer with no foam. Her name is apparently “Kira”, now to sure if she gave me the right name. I feel that jobs should be given to people more competent, I feel that this is the laziest bunch. I have attached a photo of her below.

I was here with my mom last Tuesday, the restaurant is very quiet and clean. Staff was very nice, and the cashier in particular was very friendly and helpful. On the receipt it is written Arcenio, so kudos to him, for his friendly attitude :)

It was an extremely unpleasant experience with Aziza at the service counter insisting that we ordered a 2nd English breakfast when we didn’t. I suggested replaying the security footage to review our interaction, and she declined this bluntly without any reason given. In addition, they also refused to give us the condiments that we paid for. In summary, from a customer service experience, at this restaurant, the customer is never right and unfortunately disrespected aggressively. Unsetting for our child to witness.

Good coffee, but when you pay by debit card you pay an unsolicited and unannounced tip/tip, which in our case was 25% of the total price. Really not okay! So be careful when pinning, don't be rushed and read carefully what it says!

Went to order a pizza. Stood there for 5 mins without anyone coming up. Then one dude comes out and helps with the pizza. Gets the pizza out of the oven and then stands there talking to another coworker. While that coworker is talking and eating fries out from the fryer. Then next stop cashier :D she goes and gets me cutlery and gets one napkin to use with unwashed utensils. Unwashed clearly. Never have I received this kinda of customer service ever at a cafe let alone an international airport lol. Absurd. Management needs to change big time. Check the pics out.

ATTENTION: Stay away from credit card payments at HMS!!! Just before you place the card on the machine, the tip button is pressed and you involuntarily pay 15% more. This process was also observed with other customers. When I asked the cashier about this, she just said tersely that I could write an email and get my money back. I did, but of course there was no response! You just get ripped off there!

So overly expensive and then when you pay by card you ask for a tip and if you press no tip you are looked at badly. What's that supposed to mean?

The fact that the food is more expensive than in other places can be explained by the monopoly policy at Schiphol. but to then charge an extra 5 euros for "tip" really makes it all worse. I want my money back.

Terrible customer service and staff attitude in the Starbucks at Schiphol Airport terminal ( near gate 10) run by young team. That's fine but the so call team leader, a young small young girl with terrible customer service attitude, worse of all she was doing the staff training today🥶🥶... I had a problem with the purchase of a display version of the last "City "Amsterdam "collector's mug". When I politely ask for her help, she said that's it, last one no box, no collectors label (to explain the description of the mug design), full of dust. She said if I want it, I have to pay full price, no offer of apology etc. I did at the end because I love the mug But...😡 I would not recommend them to anyone, especially if you have a problem, God help you😌. Boycott that coffee shop, please. We can't encourage customers service like that with the world economy reclining 😡 Thank you for listening.

At first it seemed good. But the bartenders will try to sneak a tip without telling you. I don't know about here in Netherland. But in my country a bartender cannot punch in tips without asking the customer. In my country you will be punished for that, and it's called stealing.

The food was okay, friendly waiters, very nice people with 1 exception. Overhearing the conversations while eating, the shiftleader (Silvia) was absurdly impolite the way she treats her co-workers and employees. You should treat your co-workers normally and talk to them the same way you should talk to customers. They are employees, not dogs. Some compassion and sympathy will bring you a long way. I won't rephrase what was said, but I who owned my own restaurant, would immediately fire someone like that. TALK WITH RESPECT TO YOUR COLLEAGUES AND BE KIND. DON'T PUT YOUR FRUSTRATION OR YOUR MISERABLE DAY ON THEM.

I ate sushi there, on Sunday, quite late,. It seemed not too fresh already but the worst came later - I got pretty heavily sick afterwards and suffered next few days.

Thet charged for tea when I requested hot water for some cold medication. I wouldn't mind a nominal charge but €3.85 is taking the piss!

New and freshly sandwish arrived, they were in the counter in front and we all could see it, but we were told that they would only be available to purchase when the old and dried ended. Seems like I returned to the school canteen. The worst part, besides being expensive, is that there is no better alternative. Way to go schiphol airport.

High prices. The wrap is very small with poor filling. Haloumi cheese in small quantities. That for 7 euros.

When asked for a cappuccino, they presented a large model without asking. If I mentioned that I wanted a small one, that couldn't change. They make a small one anyway, make me pay for a large one. Cut down the small one and make a big one again. They put it on the counter without apologies or a good day or a look. Speaking of customer-friendly, there is a lot of work to be done!

The prices are bizarrely high. Had to cancel holiday after ordering 3, sandwiches, water and a beer. No chance.

At Harvest Market all the tables are terribly dirty. Had to ask someone to clean which was done very reluctantly. My advice to do the other tables as well was ignored. Coffee was also way too weak. Next time I'll go to Starbucks.

The attention was a disaster, a rude man who mistreated us for not knowing his language, when we indicated with signs what we wanted for breakfast (there are not many options) he remained indifferent. Regrettable. That was on 05/22/23 at 8.00 AM. If I owned the place I would have already kicked him out.

Had a super bad experience at Schiphol today. I wanted to get 2 sandwiches at 12.10 pm (behind customs). Everything empty. I go to the lady who was standing there…. (Which one suuuuuper slowly made coffee.) and I asked 'is everything finished?' She said 'oh uhhh well then they will be delivered' She was very uninterested…. It's a shame, you leave a lot of money on a busy day!

Very average to poor quality while charging premium prices. There are better places at Schiphol.

Finally a place that was open at 6:00 AM was a different HMS location at Schiphol than this one. Cappuccino was fine, but why does such a small cup have to cost 4 euros again? Everyone can earn something, but I would say keep it fun.

Basic hygiene rules not respected: salmon and meat sandwiches not refrigerated, not even protected by a plastic film… Should an inspection happen, the shop would be closed down! Have a nice trip and nice salmonella or whatever you may get eating that!

It’s embarrassing and scandalous (reminds me of USSR or poverty stricken country restaurant options) that schiphol allows HMS Host to run all the post security terminal restaurant (except for Burger King and Starbucks ): all of them have exactly only 2 salad options of either chicken with egg or wheat grain bulgur salad. Boycott and buy before check in at Albert Heijn in Schiphol plaza who have amazing choices of sandwiches and salads

The location is good and open 24 hours a day for coffee, among other things. Very busy and the coffee is mediocre but above all very expensive!

We ordered 2 sandwiches and 1 salad. I can't imagine how they can make them so bad. And the terrible service. bad and expensive

In general the place is good, although very expensive. Choose four sandwiches and all with mayonnaise. There are few places at the airport to choose from, and the Burger King next door is closed so you get a bent one.

Wow, what scumbags they are here!!! Salmon sandwich with almost no salmon on it, see photo and you pay more than €8 for it. The photo with the tray was €19.15 You can clearly see that they charge high prices. That's not a problem, but make sure you don't skimp on the toppings. So not recommended.

Over priced Worse food. Really bad service Place looks big and good. Very successful to attract people/travellers by the look of the restaurant.

As a boss / employer of HMS, I would take an anonymous look at your staff. When the Ligt lounge bar Schiphol closes at 7 p.m. and the staff just stands and chats, not to mention cleaning. Clean coffee machines with a piece of paper. This is done several times to arrive at the hours that must be paid by HMS. Work pace is so slow that a snail moves by itself. The waste bin is overfull and stinks, but there is no way to change the bag in time. I think and many think that there should be more control over the working methods of the Ligt lounce bar Schiphol. It's a shame, it can and must be done differently
