I ate at Schiphol Plaza. It was a place near McDonald's. It was just awful. €16 for a slice of "pizza." The pizza is basically just a piece of bread with cheese, and if you want prosciutto, they put ham on it and then bake it. The taste wasn't terrible, but I think it's ridiculous to pay that much for something like that.

Very rude and dismissive service provided by the associate at the cafe/billing counter. Charged us for coffee and food, then told us to wait for the items and also mentioned that she will call us when things were ready. I was waiting for the items and she doesn't call me. Instead just left the coffees on the side of the counter. I had to personally go and check with her to make sure if they were for us or someone else. She then dismissively says it is for us without even looking at me. Her behavior was not the same with the rest of the customers, where she would actually hand the items to them personally. After the coffees, I was waiting for the Muffins we ordered but she doesn't give them. I had to go ask again about the muffins and she says just grab them yourself from the front without even giving me a plate. She served the other customers muffins and desserts on plates personally. Is it that if someone doesn't look European or is not White, the service differs at this cafe ? That too in one of the busiest International Airports on the planet ?

Big Bites & Beer Schipol: First impression was really bad, as the girl in the counter just left without excusing herself or saying anything - in the middle of an on going order. When changing counter, the man apologized saying she was having a lot on her mind...(!) Well, while at work, the customers are the only things she should worry about! Next, after 40 minutes(!) of waiting, I had to go to the food pick up and ask for our 2 burgers. The cook excused herself, saying she had a busy day, and gave me 2 burgers, but not the ones ordered. Whatever, we had to eat before our flight took off. Disastrous experience!

When I went back to the counter to report this, the employee responded that he could only add some hot water — no apology, no replacement, no solution. I didn't pay for a cup of lukewarm coffee with hot water. This is not a service you would expect at an international airport. Very bad experience and absolutely not customer friendly.

Terrible customer service and staff attitude in the Starbucks at Schiphol Airport terminal ( near gate 10) run by young team. That's fine but the so call team leader, a young small young girl with terrible customer service attitude, worse of all she was doing the staff training today🥶🥶... I had a problem with the purchase of a display version of the last "City "Amsterdam "collector's mug". When I politely ask for her help, she said that's it, last one no box, no collectors label (to explain the description of the mug design), full of dust. She said if I want it, I have to pay full price, no offer of apology etc. I did at the end because I love the mug But...😡 I would not recommend them to anyone, especially if you have a problem, God help you😌. Overhearing the conversations while eating, the shiftleader (Silvia) was absurdly impolite the way she treats her co-workers and employees. You should treat your co-workers normally and talk to them the same way you should talk to customers. They are employees, not dogs. Some compassion and sympathy will bring you a long way. I won't rephrase what was said, but I who owned my own restaurant, would immediately fire someone like that. TALK WITH RESPECT TO YOUR COLLEAGUES AND BE KIND. As a boss / employer of HMS, I would take an anonymous look at your staff. When the Ligt lounge bar Schiphol closes at 7 p.m. and the staff just stands and chats, not to mention cleaning. Clean coffee machines with a piece of paper. This is done several times to arrive at the hours that must be paid by HMS. Work pace is so slow that a snail moves by itself. The waste bin is overfull and stinks, but there is no way to change the bag in time. I think and many think that there should be more control over the working methods of the Ligt lounce bar Schiphol. It's a shame, it can and must be done differently

They attempt to scam people at the checkout by offering currency conversion at an extremely extortionate rate plus a ridiculous 3 euro fee. Unbelievable. This place is expensive enough already without a blatant attempt to fleece people at the checkout. You'd expect this from street sellers, not from an international airport

The food is not bad but there is very little filling in the sandwiches. You can say good bread. We ordered sandwiches and waited almost an hour because they forgot about us. Then they didn't even apologize. If you are not very hungry, I don't recommend it.

Club sandwich with a sprinkle of racism. Went with my family to have a quick meal, the workers visibly didn’t seem to like us. As an Arab, l’ve already experienced enough racism, but they could’ve at least served the unheated tasteless cheese sandwich with a fake expression instead of a disgusted look. I never write reviews on google maps, but this just pissed me off. One of the employees broke a cup of glass near our table, they cleaned up almost all of it except for the shattered pieces on our side. Overall, the food wasn’t even good. As for the cheese sandwich I’ve mentioned before, you could salt your bread for a similar experience. Ordered two pieces of bread with jelly and cheese, they served us two dry pieces of bread before we had to ask them where the jelly and cheese were at, seriously man? Not only the food is bad, the service is way worse. Had to wait for almost an hour just to get my food which was left there at the counter right in front of me. A white couple sat down half an hour after we ordered our food and they got their food way before us.. We had a little bit of food left so we asked for takeaway, the lady who works there threw the sauces on our food and ruined it. If I could rate zero stars I would’ve already done that. You guys need to pay attention to who you’re employing.
