Urban Food Market in Schiphol

The food is not bad but there is very little filling in the sandwiches. You can say good bread. We ordered sandwiches and waited almost an hour because they forgot about us. Then they didn't even apologize. If you are not very hungry, I don't recommend it.

Be careful as they try to trick you with prices, they show one price and charge one higher. Surprising that it is never lower

No salad dressing when you bought a salad

I got a salad from them.. but they don't have dressing! They told me: you can ask at the Light Lounge Cafe, maybe they have. Really?

There are no production or best-before dates on the products. The sandwiches have very little toppings. One of the two sandwiches I bought tasted like it was already a week past its expiration date. It also looked like it was from last week. The prices are also way too high. Stay away.

The most rudest person that works behind the counter and the medium cup coffee is filled halfway. Terrible

Will charge you €3.50 for hot water

The people behind the counter were more busy with each other than the customers. I couldn't even say hello. Have a nice day! (Not really, haha)

We paid for two pains au chocolat and a café crème. The coffee was served without cream. We waited 5 minutes in front of the basket with pastries without the waitresses showing any interest in us. After that, we asked about our pains au chocolat. We then learned that there were no more. We explained that we had paid, but the answer was the same: there were no more. No explanation on how to get a refund or to order something else.

Terrible experience: the staff not knowing English made us pay 9 euros for a sandwich with egg and bacon we arrived at the dirty table and found an omelette A RIP OFF I do not recommend for those who are in a group or family because the prices are not affordable we are very dissatisfied with having had breakfast like this, and after this disgrace we wanted to leave with the table all in all quite clean the bartender made us clear the whole table It was already a horrible experience and she knew it too but we didn't point anything out to her

As usual at Schiphol everything is too expensive. It's cheaper if you eat out in a real restaurant.

Very high prices so pack a lunch and avoid buying anything here unless you want to pretend the water is a fine wine.

terrible, the guy currently at the checkout is rude and unhelpful. I asked for gluten free products and he replied that he didn't know anything. Then I found the sandwich and not being allergic but intolerant I asked to heat it up, the lady told me yes while the same guy wouldn't let me do it. Avoid him like the plague, absolute rudeness and incompetence of the guy. 17.12.2024 at 12.10.

Good organic coffee beans, but it deserves a better machine. I bought an expresso L. The aroma is sufficient, but the taste is not fully expressed.

Worst store in terminal 3 Most expensive! Also sells drinks with the additional deposit and don’t take the bottles back in an Airport after security. Other stores do take it back in Terminal 3 and are way nicer.

Everything is okay but the coffee is disgusting

Food, from another world, from the airport. Good atmosphere. What is unfortunately notable is the attention. Well the young people at the checkout, friendly. But the big black spot is the rude and impolite behavior of the lady with short gray hair, Silvia I think is her name. If you don't want to answer questions you shouldn't work at this place.

The two young men behind the counter were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, we did not realize that they did not have a proper espresso machine. The latte was virtually tasteless. The sausage roll in pastry was unforgivably gummy, and also flavorless. The bacon and egg Panini did not raise the bar: gummy and flavorless. Not sure how anyone can make gummy bacon. A regrettable experience.

Worst coffee in NL. My mom couldn’t finish her sandwich, she thought it was too gross.

All (name, personel, speed) is good except for the food and beverage. Those were far below par. The sandwich was with a sort of tuna sauce, which has nothing to do with fresh (although it could be made for the same day). The sauce comes probably right out of a jar of sandwich spread. The coffee comes out of a machine and tastes like office machine coffee. Looks nice but, where is the coffee or is this? Grab and fly shops are better (they have a lovely salmon sandwich and real coffee), but those shops are not available at these special easyjet EU gates. Just a bad experience for too much money. Today (July 10th 2023) and last month have been at the Coffee/Sandwhich/Bowl shop at the other side (Stach). Wow! Very nice freshly hand-made sandwhiches (at least the Spicy Tuna and Carpaccio) and real nice capucinno (the large one has 3 shots 😋). And prices are the same (also high but I care less about that when the quality is high).

Croissants were extremely stale,coffee tasted like warm dirty water, and it was extremely expensive. If you are planning to go through M gates, bring food with you.

A regular at schiphol airport but the first time flying through the M gates. Seriously the worst food options in the whole of schiphol. Just open a Joe and the Juice on this side and close all the other poor food options.

Very unprofessional. The cashier (old lady short hair) was completely rude, I asked where to order the coffee and she replied in a non polite ironic way and then started to scream it to her colleague in Dutch (which I completely understood) "making fun" of me. I don't know how a company allows this type of behaviour. Will never go there again.

The woman at the counter got mad just because I asked to have a little milk and she yelled at me because I should have ordered a cappuccino. First she does not even know how to make it probably, second I guess she used to live in the jungle and unable to talk properly, third I spend 20€ and you make a fuss over a little hot milk. Learn some manners. No wonder this bar has 2 stars, I would have given minus 5.

Got food poisoning from this place - had a warm sandwich and a capuccino, the coffee tasted nasty and sour, so I suspect the milk was off. Stay away unless you want to spend your vacation sitting on a toilet.

11/14/22 I purchased a gluten-free cheese sandwich (I have celiac disease) and an espresso coffee in a small size S cup while I was waiting to board at gate M of Schiphol-Amsterdam last Monday. The coffee was terrible and expensive, the gluten-free sandwich was ultimately cheap compared to the quality and size of the espresso! The gluten-free bread was soft and tasted good (for this reason I gave the food rating a 3 otherwise it would have been a 2) despite it being cold from the fridge. There was only a little cheese inside, an extra slice wouldn't hurt. The staff at the checkout were very friendly. The Urban Food Market kiosk was tidy and full of products. Notes for celiacs: gluten-free sandwiches are available in 2 versions: with cheese or chicken. Even the bags of chips are labeled gluten-free

Endless queue, terrible sandwiches, expensive and with little choice. Treated like in a prison by the old cashier who shouted at people. Never been treated so badly anywhere

Capuccino is gross, croissant tastes like rubbery old bread and everything is expensive. 4+ euros for a sausage roll 7+ euros for some ham cheese hot roll. If only it were tasty, it would be less of a problem that it is expensive…

This is a 6 eur sandwich from Bracamonte at Urban Food Market.

Overpriced. Takes deposit for bottles but does not accept returns.

I found the cashier really courteous and the price of the muffin (3.65) adequate both for the price level of the city of Amsterdam and for the quality of the sweet. Truly the best I've ever eaten!!!

The lady working here today at 3Jun 2022 was very very rude for her own fault. She added a pan mozarella to our order (possibly by mistake though). We didnt pay enough attention and paid the amount via debit card. When we checked the receipt and confronted her, she started shouting that ‘I KNOW blah blah blah’. She then went ahead and gave us the change back in cash. Mistakes are ok, shouting unnecessarily is not. Huge thumbs down to this shop

Incredibly uninterested and customer unfriendly lady at the checkout at Schiphol. You pay the top price and then get such a lady in the bargain. Definitely not a contribution to the festive cheer.

Small choice of food, 6 boxes of freah oranges exposed but when asked they have no orange juice or any fruit juice. Humm… definitly not a place for breakfast (unfortunatly on terminal M There is no choice….)

Hamburger Gorki the worst ever! Old crumbling bun, hamburger meat burned and cold inside. Potatoe wedges were soaked in oil and probably furies twice. Don’t go there!

Tip: bring something to eat from outside Schiphol. There is a good chance that you will get something at a supermarket that is better and more realistically priced. This overpriced piece of junk is a joke.

The customer service is really bad the girl with a shirt hair and brown/red hair is very rude. She shouts at the customer about taking the newly prepared sandwhich which is terrible. The management should train more their stuff so they can be more polite to customers. Sandwhich was average.

The server was squeezing orange juice in front of me, at 8:00 AM at the Schiphol Airport Gate M store, had half of a jar full and told me that I could not have one because she was busy squeezing the juice…Unbelievable!

Bacon and egg sandwich was tasteless and hard. Bacon they mean 4 mini pieces of ham, but it costs almost €8. You only taste some kind of tomato sauce that has been spread on it. Pure rip off.

Nice staff, quite ok for a little “meal in between”! Compared to similar markets at international airports, this store is a leader: in price! You sit centrally and can watch the apron outside!

Sylvia is a rude person! I had only 100€ to pay my 5,80€ bill and she threw my change aggressively on the table and shouted: now all my money is gone! If one of my employees did this, they wont work in my company anymore. Embarrassing issue for her supervisor aswell

Rudest staff I have ever met! When we asked if the croissants could be heated they told us they were warm from the oven. When I received mine it was cold and I asked to reheat it. They started talking about me in Dutch. When the croissant was done the woman behind the counter yelled at me repeatedly to come pick it up (i was paying at that moment) and told me that if they had to do this for everybody they would never be done working. The coffee was terrible as well. And: way too expensive. Stay away.

Friendly staff, confusing set up and good food.

This place is terrible, stay away! I wish we would've read the reviews before purchasing from them. We bought Pringles (about €2 each), Juice (about €5-6 for a small container) and Wraps. However, when we opened the wraps all 3 of them smelled bad and were not good! Even though the expiration date says October 17th and they were purchased on October 14th. Clearly they do not take proper care of their products. We could not go back and complain seeing as 30 minutes after our purchase we were sitting in our plane with spoiled food. Gate M only has 2 places to eat which are expensive, as expected. But not only does Urban Food Market offer rude employees, they also sell spoiled food. Save your money and stomach. Eat before going through security and bring a water bottle to fill up for free at the water fountain after security. Anything but this place.

Again...eat and buy everything you need before entering gate M. The only two cafe after the security control looks forward to empty your pokets

We all expect these places to be extremely expensive. Ofcourse that is not a reason to normalize the price of almost 8 euros for a warm sandwich. Main problem is that even for all that money the coffee is terrible! Nasty, musty flavoured watered down sludge.

This place is terrible. I got yelled at by the woman at the checkout because it was cash only and I didn’t know. It’s 2019 in an airport, take card! At the very least be polite.
