I ate here before we went to the movies. The pizza was quick and tasted good!

Very nice atmosphere inside, on top of that delicious food. I have been there with both large groups and a small party, and both times the staff was very friendly and the food delicious.

We arrived at 18:00, ordered at 18:20 and our food arrived at 19:45. Unacceptable. On top of everything the food was mediocre. If you want an italian restaurant or any kind of nice quality food, this is not your place. The pizza with burrata came with big tomatoe chunks that where not cooked enough. I undertand leiden food scene is not great but you can simply do better.

It was a really nice experience having dinner at this restaurant. We loved the concept of choosing several dishes to share and try. The decoration is definitely a big part of the experience, it’s very pretty and creates a lovely atmosphere. The service was good, the food was tasty, and we almost ate everything! The portions are not small ! The only negative point was the meatball… It was really dry and quite boring, and we honestly didn’t expect it to be that disappointing. So, overall, I wouldn’t recommend the meatball, but I would still recommend giving the restaurant a try!

Had another delicious meal. New dishes on the menu (we like). And the round (too small) tables have been replaced by square tables. That is really nice. Aperitivo focuses on the details. We love that. Until next time.

Very welcoming and friendly service

We (family of 7) visited Aperitivo in Leiden for a night out, and it was overall a very fun experience with great value for money. The restaurant has a really cool, creative interior design that gives the place a vibrant ambience, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the night. Their pizza dough is exceptionally good, the piadina was delicious, and they serve some great desserts to wrap up the meal. That being said, there are a few areas where there is room for improvement, especially since they recently changed their concept to an "all you can taste" unlimited format. The portion sizes are actually quite large for an unlimited tasting concept, making them a bit smaller would be ideal so guests can sample a wider variety of dishes without getting full too quickly. While the taste of the food varied, the parmigiana stood out as truly fantastic, though unfortunately, it was served a bit cold. The bruschetta classica felt like it was missing fresh basil and a good drizzle of olive oil, and the carpaccio was unfortunately a bit lacking in flavor. On a practical note, our table was located quite close to the restrooms, and we occasionally noticed an unpleasant smell nearby. Hanging a curtain or divider in that area could easily solve the issue and make those tables much more comfortable. All in all, it's a lovely, lively spot where you get a lot for your money. Worth a visit if you are looking for a fun night out with plenty of food!

The restaurant looks nice; it is well thought out. You are greeted warmly and escorted to the table. After some explanation about the all-you-can-taste menu, we opted for it, as there were a number of appealing dishes on the menu. The first dish arrived within about 20 minutes, but unfortunately, the subsequent courses took well over three-quarters of an hour each to arrive. In terms of taste, it was often bland and uninspired, apart from cooking errors such as dried-out meatballs and chicken that was undercooked on the inside. All meat and fish dishes were disappointing in terms of taste and/or preparation. If you still want to eat there: the simple items that are easy to prepare in advance, such as the bruschettas, wraps, and a few vegetable dishes, were better. Unfortunately, the wait staff is often absent and orders go missing. The kitchen cannot or is not allowed to keep up, given the long waiting times between courses. It was noticed by a lady who offered us a complimentary round of coffee or tea after 2.5 hours. However, we left after 3 hours without ordering dessert, and we also skipped the coffee and tea: that would certainly have taken another hour, including settling the bill. So we just paid directly at the bar. I also mentioned it at the bar: the service is friendly, but the logistics are a mess. You can't let people leave hungry after more than 3 hours because they have to work early the next day. It was indicated that this unfortunately happened frequently. In short: a nice concept, but very poor in execution.

Had delicious pizzas (nice thin crust, the dough itself didn't have much flavor) and seafood pasta. The red wine was a bit too warm. Nice music. Just a cozy place. Will try the tapas menu next time. Did have to wait a bit for the pizzas to be ready, though.

Update of 17-9-2026 Ate here for the third time. This time with 2 friends on my recommendation who hadn't been here before. Opted for the "all you can eat" concept and not the "3 or 4 course menu" like the previous times. It was quite busy and I gathered from the staff that they hadn't expected this. The pace in the kitchen was slow; we had reserved for 6:30 and understood, after we had already ordered, that some dishes were no longer available around 19:00 (something with chicken and the steak tips). A bit of a shame when one of my friends has to order again while we are already eating. Otherwise, serve the dishes simultaneously so that everyone has something to eat and the third person doesn't have to wait another 10 minutes. Furthermore, the chicken with, I believe, paprika consisted mainly of paprika; you had to search for the chicken. The concept is nice, but not when it's busy. The menu is varied and the wine and staff are good and friendly. At my wife's insistence, we went to eat at Aperitivo in Leiden, and we certainly didn't regret it. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented, with a clear eye for quality. The concept of various (smaller) dishes is very nice and makes it ideal for trying multiple flavors. The price-quality ratio is also excellent. Tip: use the discount code from Rebel Horeca. A small tip: it would be nice if guests were asked a little sooner upon arrival if they would like something to drink. Otherwise, everything was top-notch, and we will definitely be back here again!

Nice place, friendly service, and delicious food! The shared dining concept is definitely recommended. Update: Packed tonight, very few staff, causing us to wait a very long time for drinks and orders.

Edit: We came back 10 months later and everything seemed to have gone downfall. Everything is super oily from the potatoes to the pizza to the beef sticks to the piadine… The best thing we ate was the bread with garlic butter, which says a lot about the food quality that night… The weird portion sizes of the bites also did not become better - worse if anything. It seems like they were surprised we were actually going to share with the table instead of ordering for ourselves. They also forgot to come back with our bill while the guy who was supposed to be bringing it kept making eye contact with us. We were basically the only people left and though all the employees kept looking, no one took any action. We sat there for a solid 20 min. Just odd all around. We had a lovely evening here! The place is really cool and a bit different, but it’s a style we really like. It’s super busy, but not noticeable at all - the servers are kind and patient and the food is brought out quickly. We really liked all the different options of food on the menu. I personally also loved that dessert was included in the shared dining menu - as someone with a gastric sleeve I always miss out on getting dessert when going to a restaurant, because usually just getting one dish is more than enough. This gave me the option to include dessert without wasting food and money - I love that. Will say that the portion sizes of the shared dining dishes are a bit surprising, sometimes you get way more than expected and sometimes you get 2 mini croquettes that counts as one dish. Would be nice if that would be made more clear on the menu or was a bit more consistent.

Very colorful setting. We opted for a kind of tapas-style selection of food. It was very tasty. Carpaccio, boneless ribs, a pizza polo which was very delicious with onions and peppers. And afterwards a dessert, dama bianca. Everything tasted very good. Good service

I love this place! Service is amazing, fast, kind and helpful. Inside it's really beautiful and decorated very stylish. You have high tables, boots and also tables upstairs. I got asked if I made reservation said no which was fine. Its nice to be able to look down literally on other tables and guests. They have a great deal with all Pizza's and Pasta's be4 18:30 for only 10 euro's. I had mezzi ni vegitariano and I loved it. I wasnt really hungry anymore after. Service is good , kind , positive and fast. I will definitely come back and then with reservation :)

Had to wait more than 2 hours for a pizza ordered online. Eventually received an ice-cold pizza. The restaurant is unreachable by phone. A lot of money for a cold pizza. Do not order from this restaurant!!

We were seated at the very top floor on a busy Friday evening. The three of us shared a few appetizers. The staff were very friendly, and despite the crowds, we didn't have to wait too long. Planning ahead and ordering the next round on time helps. Nice place.

We ended up at this restaurant because we ran into Tim and Bart, two friends and former colleagues—Tim is the manager of this restaurant—while having a beer nearby. Bart arranged the reservation for us. Good choice and we will definitely come back again.

Lovely Italian restaurant with a creative concept: Italian tapas! There are so many different dishes that there is something for everyone, ideal for groups. We come here monthly, always to our full satisfaction.

We were really pleased with our dinner at Aperitivo. We ordered three pizzas and a calzone and were not disappointed. The pizza Nora was super! Our server, Leonore, was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. For dessert, we had coffee with a lemon tart and tiramisu. A delicious end to a very lovely dinner. Thank you!

Had a delicious meal at this beautiful restaurant

We went to eat here; the pasta was fine but nothing special. The portion was good for what you paid, though! The service was very friendly but very substandard… the table next to us sat there for half an hour with everything on it, even though we walked past multiple times. It was the same story for us; empty plates sat there for at least 20 minutes before we decided to walk to the cashier to pay ourselves. It's a shame because I would have liked another dessert, but given the speed of the service, I'm afraid we would still be sitting there. The atmosphere is very nice though, with the decor!

I had the worst pasta bolognese here. The sauce was a pool of oil and it was bland and tasteless. The oily sauce was so bad that I actually threw up the bolognese later that night.

We ate here with 14 people, at two tables back to back. It was impossible to imagine anything else. They offered a special shared dining experience, but it was served without any explanation, which also took ages. The same was true for the drinks. Unfortunately, we won't be doing this again!

The first time, we had fantastic pasta at an affordable price, sitting on comfortable green benches and chairs. Later, we dined in the "red room," which was considerably warmer, opting for shared dining and Italian tapas. If we hadn't ordered pasta tapas, we wouldn't have been full after four dishes per person. I have to admit, the tapas tasted considerably lower than the pasta on our first visit. The decor is also super cool, stimulating the senses, while the dark atmosphere exudes tranquility. The staff is hardworking and always friendly. I had to wait for my friend who was looking for a parking garage and was allowed to have a beer outside; it wasn't a problem that our reservation was slightly delayed because of this.

The food was fine, but nothing special and could generally use some spice. The cocktails were good, and the restaurant itself looked super nice and inviting. Perhaps a smaller menu with truly good dishes would be a good idea.

We ordered and paid for pizzas through Thuisbezorgd, but our order was canceled by Thuisbezorgd without any reason. Very disappointing! Unfortunately, you can't rely on it.

We asked pizza on the web site ..it arrived very late...we asked for extras...we payed for it but no extras on the pizzas .. never again.

A nice concept and atmospheric decor, but the food was unfortunately disappointing. The portions are very small, and the pizzas taste more like flammkuchen than real pizza. The price is disproportionate to what you get. Furthermore, the serving was a bit messy – not everything came at the same time, and the food was just placed on the table instead of being served. It's a shame, because the idea is nice, but the execution could definitely be better.

Delicious pizza and nice interior

The place is cozy inside, and the staff tries their best. But the kitchen lets them down terribly... I've rarely eaten so badly. The potato salad that came with the Black Angus steak came straight from the freezer and still had a core temperature of -4 degrees Celsius. The couscous salad was a "cold" salad, according to the staff. There's a difference between a "cold" salad and a salad that's not quite frozen. This was pointed out to the staff, and then the couscous salad was microwaved... the inside was still ice cold. The pasta wasn't al dente, but already baked. Did you check the time on the packaging? The mushrooms tasted more like chewing gum, but without the flavor. I'm forgetting a lot, but I think it's clear. The pizza, on the other hand, was delicious. On to the desserts. The tiramisu also came out of the freezer with ice forming in the cake section, making for a soggy, wet meal. Not tasty. The lemon cake was a better option. All in all, I would avoid this place.

Nicely decorated place, but that's about it. I came here for my birthday and was unfortunately very disappointed. The food was not at all what I expected and simply awful. Only reheated meals; I could have cooked a proper meal at home much better. A huge shame, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The 5 tapas we chose were delicious. And honestly, the Quattro Stagione pizza was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Tim, the waiter, was also very friendly and gave us advice on the tapas. That turned out perfectly. Highly recommended!

They ask if you want water, and you think you're just getting a pitcher, but they charge €7 for a bottle of Chaudfontaine. Absolutely outrageous. It's a scam. And the food is awful. So stay away; there are much nicer places.

You can definitely have a great meal here. The concept of allowing everyone to order five small dishes per person is especially nice, but they also have pizzas and pasta. The Italian food isn't the best quality, but it's not bad either. The staff is helpful and fast. I would personally recommend wearing different work attire. 🐆😉

We enjoyed a delicious pizza or pasta with a drink with a group of 38 people. We had a very nice spot on the balcony and the interior of the restaurant looked cheerful. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful restaurant with an incredibly over-the-top decor. Good, friendly service and a diverse range of (tasty) drinks. Ideal place for a drink, but you can also eat there. The food itself was a bit disappointing unfortunately. They have quite a large menu with something for everyone. The dishes themselves were unfortunately a bit bland in taste and not very exciting. Anyway, I would definitely come back for a drink, but not go for dinner anytime soon.

What a nice restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff. We opted for the option of ordering 5 smaller dishes per person, a kind of Italian 'tapas'. We could always order the dishes per 5 so that you always had hot dishes and everyone could taste them. We finished with a delicious tiramisu. Worth repeating!

Nicely decorated, a bit chaotic but also cozy. Service super sweet and good. I just didn't find the food interesting, truffle & chicken pasta shouldn't be difficult, but the chicken was really hard and dirty. Maybe the pizzas are tasty. Wine, cocktails & desserts are delicious! 🍸

We had dinner here last Thursday evening. We went here spontaneously, after our reserved table at another restaurant was given to someone else. And oh what a nice tent! Blessings in an accident. We received a super friendly welcome and a table was prepared for us on the spot. Our waitress clearly explained the concept of the 'taste of aperitivo', which we also went for. And it was tasty!! We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and the delicious food. Thank you for turning our downer into a fun evening out. 5 stars well deserved! When we are in Leiden again, we will definitely visit ;)

It is more of a 'food barn' than a cozy restaurant. The concept is well thought out, but it doesn't work: one person gets everything at once, the other has to wait a while. Management is not really involved with its customers. Expensive evening for more than €70 per person. Definitely not worth repeating. The quality is far from what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Big deception…

Very tasty food. nice concept and you really get value for your money.

The place looks cozy on the inside, the staff is friendly. We ate the tapas menu with 8 people, the dishes were fine, nothing special. The so-called main course consisted of 2 pizzas to be divided among 8 adults. (So ​​afterwards I had a kebab from the tent next door) When a tablemate asked about a red wine, the response was: "They are all good, I don't know anything about them". So, not bad, but very little food, and expensive!

If you are Italian simply lower your expectations as much as possible or just drink, after all here in Holland everyone is like that

What a nice surprising change! Had dinner here a few months ago and the place has since had a total makeover, very daring and above all fun. The food was again delicious with a wide choice and our waitress Lotte made the evening complete. Recommended!

Op 21 september hier geweest omdat we eerder hier wel goede ervaringen hadden en wij wat te vieren hadden. Wat een enorme sof deze keer. Wij begrepen dat ze net weer open zijn na een verbouwing. Je kan het mooi vinden of niet. De nieuwe look is not my cup of tea. Maar dat staat los van onze ervaring. Wat was er dan niet goed? Nou eigenlijk alles wat te maken heeft met een leuk avondje uit. Juist voor hen gekozen vanwege het concept van de vijf gerechtjes maar juist daar ging het mis. De gastvrouw serveerster was eigenlijk totaal niet geïnteresseerd in de gasten. De bestellingen kwamen wel of niet terwijl wij bewust hadden gekozen om elk gerechtje per keer te bestellen (4 personen). Binnen dit concept kan dat helemaal niet. De serveerster hierop aangesproken. Na twintig minuten was e.e.a. nog niet opgelost. Daarna bij het afhalen lege borden de gastvrouw hierop aangesproken. Ze ging het regelen. Pas na een half uur kwam het missende gerecht. Haar excuses luidde: het moet komen van diverse keukens. Dat boeit mij helemaal niets dat moeten zij managen. Gedurende de avond, waarbij de gastvrouw op circa een meter afstand stond, geen tot nauwelijks geen service gekregen van de gastvrouw terwijl ze moet hebben gezien dat de glazen leeg waren. Het eten dan: het eten was in de meeste gevallen lafjes van smaak. Doorgekookt qua structuur. Onbegrijpelijk. Na drie uur, en pas vier rondes achter de rug besloten de avond bij Aperitivo te staken. We waren alweer een half uur niet geserviced. Naar beneden gelopen en afgerekend. Het meisje vroeg nog wel of we het naar ons zin hadden gehad. Hoe verzin je het. Ze vroeg nog wel waarom niet. Haar voorzien van mijn antwoord. Oh, jammer maar verder helemaal niets. Toevallig was zij dezelfde persoon die boven de gastvrouw speelde. Het meisje was totaal niet geïnteresseerd en beseft waarschijnlijk niet dat wij, de gasten, haar salaris opbrengen. Het minste wat ik verwacht in de horeca is gastvrijheid. Dat was wat ik miste. Zo jammer en onnodig. Vervolgens een dag later een uitnodiging om ons bezoek te beoordelen ontvangen. Die ingevuld en teruggezonden. Je verwacht dan een excuus. Verder verwacht ik helemaal niets van Rebel Horeca. Maar je raad het al: totaal geen reactie. Tja, zegt dat dan iets over hoe zij gasten zien of gaat het dan alleen om geld te verdienen? Ik heb eerst goed nagedacht of ik deze review moest gaan plaatsen. Ik snap namelijk de problemen waarin de horeca momenteel verkeerd, het slechts een momentopname kan zijn... maar de totale non-interesse vanuit de locatie manager en/of het hoofdkantoor van Rebel heeft mij toch doen besluiten de review te plaatsen. Beste mensen van Rebel, leer hiervan en houd toezicht op de kwaliteit. Zowel qua eten als ook op de intrinsieke interesse en gastvrijheid van jullie personeel en bezorg je gasten een onvergetelijke avond.

We had a delicious meal and drinks there with our three children this week in a lovely setting. Spacious seats, excellent background music and friendly staff who engage in conversation in a casual atmosphere and share some holiday tips. The chef turned the children's pizzas into something very special - according to our sons, the tastiest pizza ever. Aanraojer! Rob, Tegelen.

This place is ideally located next to Trianon cinema in Leiden. Me and my family decided to visit it after an afternoon movie ending at 8:00pm. As the waitress greeted us we requested a table to have pizza then she replied she had to discuss this with her colleagues…. After leaving us standing at the door for good 5 minutes, she came back saying that she could not take us otherwise the kitchen would have been really angry with her…..!!! Well. I think this is completely unacceptable and totally against the company they are all working for. Apparently they were too good to earn a couple hundred euros more. Good for you Aperitivo because we will never come back!

Perhaps one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. You have to try the Pescatore. But they are all great and the attention is extremely pleasant.

The concept is quite nice: choose 5 dishes for 27,50. Half of the dishes were very good, half of them were mediocre. Staff was not very professional, but quite friendly. There are not a lot of soft materials used in the location, so if you don't like loud sounds...
