Fratelli Leiden has truly been our favorite Italian restaurant for years. We live in Alphen aan den Rijn ourselves. We always go to Leiden when we want to eat Italian food. Pizza Inferno is and remains our favorite. ❤️ 🍕

Super service! I needed something quick to take with me in the car. I even got disposable cutlery and super nice service. Sitting at the bar and getting a glass of water on the house. Even though it was very busy, they still made the effort to serve me well as a takeaway guest. The food was made fresh, so top-notch!

Good food! I recommend the tiramisu. The place is beautifully decorated and service was great.

We were there today with our one-year-old son. The food was great and all the staff were incredibly kind to him, playing jokes with him and even when he got a little noisy, it wasn't a problem for anyone :)

The waiter was incredibly friendly and funny, and the food was excellent! The cocktails were perfect! We were allowed to bring our dog, and they were very kind to him!

Had a delicious meal, though the portions were smaller and unfortunately they couldn't speak Dutch.. it's really annoying that you have to speak English then.

We eat here yesterday with our familie. The restaurant was packed but after 5 min waiting at the bar the waiter gets us a table. The food was perfect and the service was fast and friendly! We’ll be back soon!

August 2026 Horrible service, with an empty restaurant, not allowing you to choose a table. Everyone they want is assigned to one corner. It's a warm day, and all the outdoor tables are tied up with cables and inaccessible. I do not recommend it!!

In the shadow of the Gate to Heaven, you will find an authentic piece of Italy. A flamboyant waiter sets the local atmosphere, inviting you to dine here. And it certainly does not disappoint! Starters are fried scampi and calamari, followed by tuna steak and grilled prawns as the main course. The tuna is perfectly prepared, and the prawns have their backs neatly cut open and the intestinal tract removed ('butterflyed'), resulting in excellent seasoning. You do get up to your elbows in grease due to the manual work required to peel them, but it is well worth it. And what stood out: many Italian guests, so that is a good sign! Highly recommended. Do take traffic noise into account if you choose to sit outside! It is a busy spot.

They really need to do something about their pizzas, because they really aren't that tasty. Normally, I order pizzas from the well-known national chain, and I find those many times better. Sorry. As for the dessert prices: they are exorbitant. You'd be better off getting a delicious ice cream a few steps down for less than 3 euros.

Food is amazing, the place is charming, but the service is outstanding! This is one of the best services I've ever seen in the Netherlands. The team is great, with a remarkable vibe! And, please, try the tiramisù!! It's divine!

Very mediocre food. Pasta carbonara with zero flavor. Left the tiramisu untouched because it was soggy. Given the price, you expect slightly better quality.

We had a delicious meal at Fratelli! For the main course, I had the ravioli tartufati. The service was quick and the staff friendly. Due to how busy it was, we couldn't sit there for very long, but this was clearly indicated by the staff beforehand and was fine with us. For that reason, I would recommend making a reservation.

We normally always eat here on our birthdays, but we had been to a concert at the Marekerk and then my girlfriend said, "Pizzeria Fratelli?" I said, "Two minds think alike," so we had another delicious meal here!!

The place is charming, right in the heart of Leiden. The food is delicious and delicately prepared with great care and style. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy, and I recommend booking...it was full.

I went to eat there and the inside smell so bad I asked to sit outside and they told they don’t serve outside. Then I went to olive garden less than 300 and they have great hospitality and great food

A great place in Leiden. A warm welcome and authentic Italian cuisine with a wide selection. We were greeted by the manager with great warmth, and the rest of the staff was truly friendly. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner, and the selection was superb. My barrata was incredibly fresh. A lovely surprise in this hidden corner of the city. See you soon!

I had one of the best pizzas of my life here. Friendly service (they do speak English), good prices, and the pizza was ready quickly. ✅

Very satisfied! Great place and very fast service. Both the starter and main course were delicious. We had to go to a musical, but that wasn't a problem. We were out within an hour. I even received a rose for Valentine's Day, which was very thoughtful. The location is also great, easy to find and right in the city center.

What a delicious lunch I had here! The menu offered plenty of choices, and everything looked appealing. My dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The staff was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was lively but not overcrowded. The decor was modern and inviting. The coffee afterward was excellent. A place I'd happily return to.

Ate here for the first time. We had delicious bruschetta pizzas and tuna pizza. Freshly made and delivered quickly. The interior is cozy. This is the first time in a long time that I've experienced such excellent service. They came by quickly with the menu and to take drink orders. They also regularly checked in to make sure everything was still alright.

We had a wonderful meal at Fratelli! Nice space, separated tables, friendly service, and delicious food at reasonable prices. The amount of saltimbocca (especially the potatoes) could have been a bit larger.

We always enjoy such delicious food at Fratelli Leiden. Last Saturday, a group of five girls and I really enjoyed it. The pasta and pizzas are delicious! We hadn't been there in a while and saw that they'd recently renovated the interior. It's really lovely and beautiful, and they even added an extra room. One small point to note: now that everything has been so beautifully renovated, it's a bit of a shame that the front door wasn't included in the renovation. Sitting near the entrance can sometimes be a bit chilly. Hopefully, that will be addressed in the future.

We dined here on the recommendation of family after leaving another restaurant due to poor service. The warm welcome, fantastic food, cozy atmosphere, and especially the incredibly friendly service made our evening a wonderful one. We'd like to thank Fratelli for a wonderful evening.

More than disappointed. If you're looking for good food but unexpected service, this is the place to go. Yesterday we went to this restaurant for dinner. We were told the restaurant was full, but we could sit at the bar and still be served with food and drinks. Even though my friends spoke English, they were given a Dutch menu. The food was served promptly, and the drinks were also decent. The service, however, wasn't what you'd expect from this type of restaurant. Because we were sitting at the bar, there were some items around us that we had to move to make room for the plates. We were then told, "I only have two hands, I can't do everything." And that was just the beginning... When we asked to split the bill, we were told we should pay everything at once and sort it out amongst ourselves. When we tried to split the bill, the waiter wasn't happy about it. Finally, when we were splitting the bill and the system crashed (which wasn't a problem for us, but apparently was for the waiter), we received a "friendly" remark: "I don't want to waste half my life on this." We were truly disappointed with the service and will not be visiting this place again.

There were three of us eating there and we had reserved a table, which is definitely necessary. Our starters arrived quite quickly and were delicious. The main courses were also very good, although we thought one portion was a bit too small. Otherwise, we'd be happy to come back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and the friendly service. The service was truly excellent! I would only improve the menu board outside and add an ashtray for smokers. Currently, there are so many cigarette butts in front of the entrance, which is such a shame. It's a shame there's no wheelchair-accessible restroom. Well the atmosphere and food presentation look appealing, but the quality of food fail to match sometimes. We’ve been here a few times already, for example before I ordered SCALOPPINA Gorgonzola, lasagna, salmon etc, those were superlekker, but this time the tonijn is below average, as if it had been frozen, anyways just tastes off.

The carbonara was good but it was not italian, i couldn’t taste the pecorino and they don’t do it with guanchale. The pizza that i took, inferno, was too salty, the dough was too thin and without cornicione. It felt like a dutch version of italian food.

It was awful, the food was mediocre and the service was bad. Just speak a little Dutch if you want to work here. The beer was also lukewarm. All in all, I'd say find something else.
