Trattoria Panini in Binnenstad-Zuid

Great place! Had a wonderful and unforgettable time here. Definitely recommended, staff and food are top quality. It feels just like stepping into Italy.

What a fantastic evening we had. The misto platter as a starter, consisting of a tasting of all the appetizers, is truly a must-try. The service was very friendly. Top notch.

Friendly service and enjoyed the shared dining!

Fantastic trattoria. Delicious food. Very friendly staff. Top restaurant

Had a delicious meal, enjoyed the shared dining menu. Super service!

We had a delicious meal and the service was top-notch!

Chose this restaurant spontaneously while exploring Leiden in the evening; absolutely no regrets. Had a fantastic evening; the food was 10/10.

DELIVERY: Ordered from the restaurant website. Great menu and super taste! Will order more times in future :)

Great food. Very nice staff. Try the pizza!

I ate there as part of the Wine & Food walking tour. A tasty bite perfectly paired with a glass of wine. Enjoyed sitting outside.

Super tasty. Nice service. No, they are not sisters....

The focaccia was deliciously freshly baked, the pizzas were very tasty, and the service was very friendly. :)

Tiramisu was tasty! Recommended!

Nice staff, good coffee and almost authentic Tiramisu.

The quality is declining. The place is run by students on a weekday evening. Long waits for food, substandard service. Bring your own cutlery! They have too little cutlery to provide a clean fork and knife for your main course if you ordered a starter. Shabby!

We had a very tasty meal for a reasonable price. The platter for two is highly recommended as a starter.

The food was very good. A bit pricy but good deal if you consider taking the Menu (starter + main + dessert). Servers were kind :) People were smoking on the tables outside and all the smoke came through the door to the tables inside which is not very pleasant when you are having dinner this the 3 atmosphere stars, but otherwise is was nice and clean.

Waited a long time for a tasteless Caprese pizza with a 20cl mini Coca-Cola. I reported that the pizza was tasteless, but no further action was taken.

Ordered 2 prosciutto pizzas. Normally delicious, but this time really incredibly greasy. Contacted Trattoria Panini and it was nice that they took the complaint seriously and resolved it properly and immediately.

I’ve been eating here every now and then for years, but I think it’s finally time to write a review. The food here (especially the antipasti) is really delicious!! The staff is welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommended if you want to eat something that isn't too expensive but still of good quality :)

The food here goes beyond the typical Italian cuisine found elsewhere in town. Special dishes are available, such as rigatoni 'nduja, as well as a rich selection of pizzas. The service is excellent, and the pizza kitchen is built into the dining room, adding to the restaurant's authenticity. The only drawback is that the pizza was slightly burnt that night, but I believe it was just an accident, and it was still tasty.

Cozy spot for a simple pizza or pasta. Don't expect high expectations, just OK. However, after closing time, it is starting to become a bit of a noisy student pub and terrace.

This place truly exceeded our expectations. The presentation and flavors of the food transported us straight to Italy, a rare experience that few restaurants can deliver so authentically. This trattoria easily matches the quality you would expect from dining in Italy itself. The staff were just as impressive as the food, smiling, kind and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

You be well taken care of here...everything is delicious.

I like the food and it’s very delicious!

Delicious pizzas and pastas, truly delicious, and the service is quite open and welcoming, and there is a really cozy atmosphere there.

We had a super delicious pizza! The service was very friendly. We really enjoyed the evening. Thanks!

Very tasty pizzas, nice service and good atmosphere.

We had delicious pizzas. The desserts, tiramisu and the Choco Trio, were delicious (the little salt on the Choco Trio wouldn't have been necessary). The portion size was good. The price was reasonable. The service was good: staff came by often and were friendly. The only downside: it was quite smoky inside (the kitchen ventilation/extraction wasn't very good), and we smelled strongly of food when we went home.

Quite high prices for an evening snack, but very tasty

We first waited a long time for the bruschetta, got the wrong drink, and then waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our food: they had forgotten it (after asking). The lasagna was reheated, hot on the side, and lukewarm on the inside. It was inedible. The tagliatelle was the same. They apologized. We weren't charged for one appetizer, but we paid the full price for the rest. "Yes, we have to charge for the main courses," was the excuse, and we were ignored. This was a very unpleasant experience. Only the waitress was kind and sympathetic.

Delicious food! The service was very friendly, but a bit chaotic.

Had a delicious Italian meal on Saturday evening. Great atmosphere and excellent service. It was pleasantly packed between 7 and 9 pm. The tasting platter (for two people) is highly recommended.

Good value for money, delicious paninis made with pizza dough, and everything fresh. The tiramisu is also highly recommended!

Trattoria Panini in Leiden, where the only thing missing from the night… was photos of the food. Why? Because it was so good we forgot to take any. You’ll just have to taste it yourself. Perfect location, plates full of Italian magic, and staff who make you feel like you’ve just walked into a friend’s home. Big shout-out to the owner and his (almost?) wife, you two bring as much flavour to the place as the kitchen does. Already counting the days until our next visit 🍝❤️

During the wine and food route, we enjoyed a delicious red wine and a small dish. The staff were very friendly.

Excellent Italian fare. Very friendly staff. Portions were perfect. And we had vegetarian options too

Good food, although it took a bit long to serve

Excellent service, very friendly and spectacular food Super recommended

Very cosy Italian restaurant! Very good food a bit more towards the premium side of things but still reasonable balance between price, quantity and quality. Very friendly staff, can highly recommend.

Top gegeten! 3- gangenmenu, was heel erg smakelijk. De ragu was echt heel lekker. Vriendelijke, attente bediening. Wij komen terug!

Great restaurant, delicious food. Nice cozy atmosphere. Nice, smooth service. Highly recommended! You just taste Italy.

Anti pasti was very tasty. Pizza was okay, lasagna was very small and in the oven a little too long and therefore a bit bitter. The bucatini was small but tasty. Cappuccino good, coffee mediocre. Operation absolutely fine.

It was so much fun and employees are so polite and respectful

Altijd vriendelijke medewerkers!! Tot snel weer.

Very tasty food and very friendly service! My go to place for pizza in Leiden

Nice restaurant for a nice lunch. Menu is varied

I've been here several times for the pizza. The last time this pizza was completely soaked in grease. The pizza literally floated away. I tried to pat it dry a bit, but I needed exactly two napkins for that. Serious? Really a shame because previously the dough was really top notch and one of my favorites

10/10 paninis and pizzas, always happy with food! Once there was a longer wait (30mins) and they apologised with Tiramisu. 10/10 customer satisfaction

Atmospheric restaurant. Wonderful scents greet you when you step inside. You immediately get hungry. Kitchen is open, looks neat and relaxed. Part of the group ate the 3-course menu for a reduced price that applies on certain days. Sufficient choice for tasty dishes. Good ratio in quantity for 3 courses. I opted outside the menu for the melanzane, which is outside the 3-course selection. No regrets for a second, because this one is truly delicious! Quantity is an average portion that fills you up enough. Tiramisu for dessert was also very tasty. Soft, airy, creamy. Delicious. Torelloni al tartufo funghi was very salty. That was a shame. We also ate all tasty dishes. Nice place, friendly smooth service. I was there for the second time and will definitely come back!

The food is delicious and the staff is extremely polite and attentive!!! Great!!! Only recommended!!!

Really tasty food, one of the best pizzas and pasta in Leiden.

I had a very delicious meal here, highly recommended!!!

Very good Italian cuisine, impeccable and friendly service

Exceptional cuisine! Very tasty and flavors that will knock your socks off! Adorable boss and very helpful and smiling staff. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

The pizza was amazing but the tiramisu toppped it. If there’s a heaven there’d be tiramisu from this place there. 15/10 recommend

I really recommend this restaurant, we ate absolutely well. We were welcomed by the owner Guillaume, who also speaks French fluently! A follower of Brittany. 😊 As soon as we return to the area, we will definitely come and eat in this restaurant. Finally someone who respects his staff, customers but above all quality products.

Delicious pizzas, although they are becoming increasingly expensive. But luckily for this pizza it's worth the extra money. Service is friendly and fast.

Service was very nice, friendly and open. I ate a delicious salmon with pasta, which is highly recommended. Price quality is excellent! I will definitely come back again!

Delicious food and very friendly, professional service

Food came different than what was ordered. Otherwise it tasted good and it is really very nice.

The tastiest pizzas in Leiden 😋

Need to rsvp. Quite obscure. Supposedly good for its pizzas. But we ordered pasta dishes. Staff willing to accommodate some changes to the cooking style. Lemonceli on the house was good.

The dish was a bit much...but if that's the worst 😆

The food was very good, the waitresses were very happy and atencious and the place was very clean and pretty.

Had a delicious meal here. Menu is less standard than the "straightforward" Italian. Price-quality ratio is completely okay.

Very nice, listened well. Great atmosphere!

Very tasty food, definitely worth it, good starters!

Very good menu for reasonable price. For sure I will come back.

Friendly and honest sandwiches and pizza🍕, highly recommended!

Favorite restaurant. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and quality of dishes is top.

Goede prijs kwaliteit..ontspannen sfeer..vriendelijke bediening

Aanrader!

Italian perfection in Netherlands ✨

Tasty thin pizzas, large variety of pastas, friendly skillful staff. If you are lucky, you might even get a limoncello from the house. Highly recommended if you are in the neighbourhood

Super lekkere pizza's en hele vriendelijke en gezellige bediening! Helemaal top

The food is amazing! The staff is wonderful, funny and very helpful. The atmosphere is nice, and the place looks really good, the only thing we thought could be better about the place was the acoustics, as it is sometimes hard to hear each other when there is a lot of noise. All by all our experience was amazing and we would definitely recommend going here!

Those paninis are lit, must try! Tad bit expensive though.

Nice pizza. But only 4 stars because the cooking took too long.

Truffle pasta was 💯. The waitresses were polite but the service was excruciatingly slow.

Lekker gegeten, vriendelijke bediening.

Amazing food, excellent service:)

Heerlijk gegeten. 3 gangenmenu van 25 eur was een goede deal

We waren met 9 man, lieve bediening. Eten prima prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding.

Excellent Pizza. Very fair prices.
