One of the most authentic Bakmie in Amsterdam !! (coming from indonesian living in Ams) I think they have a very nice chewy noodle style that I miss a lot!!!~ and the soup with bakso is just perfectt ++they have a fried chicken skin OMGGGGG IT TASTE AWESOMEEEEEE (super crunchy, salty, umami perfect!) the place is also comfortable and nice with some seatings and the owner is expectedly friendly! would highly recommend (and might be one of my go-to place when i miss home) ❤️

Enjoyed the food a lot here! The food, the place, the utensils - everything just feels like I’m eating bakmi in a depot in Surabaya. To me, the highlight was the broth, noodle, and tahu bakso. Typical chinese bakmi, umami and sweet. The character of the tahu bakso is also typical, savory and slightly sweet. I will definitely come back again when I miss bakmi :)

Authentic Indonesian Food. Probably the best Mie I enjoyed outside of Indonesia. We extra came from Germany to Amsterdam and it was worth it (I am half-Indonesian and nearly every year in Indonesia). Nice service.

Very expensive, 5 people for €175. We came quite early for dinner around 5pm therefore no one else around and we saw all the noodles, bakso, nasi goreng, tofu were all microwaved. Back and forth the microwave door and ticking seconds were on. No cooking, nothing. Way too overpriced. Not worth it.

I had the 'Bakmi all in one' (€19.50). The bakmi is certainly tasty, but the portion is small. You also get a bowl of broth with a few bakso and wontons, but these aren't homemade. The owner also recommended a stuffed tofu (€6.50), but that was a big disappointment. It had no flavor whatsoever and didn't seem homemade either. Along with a bottle of water (€3), I paid almost €30. Far too expensive for a meal that mainly needs to be reheated and where not everything is homemade. I'm Indonesian and would have liked to have been more positive, especially since the owner was very friendly, but the prices are exorbitant. If you eat here, I'd recommend just getting a portion of bakmi. It's tasty and you'll pay less.

I came all the way from Brighton in the United Kingdom to come here after my mum recommended Aries noodles and it did not disappoint! As someone who is Indonesian, it was a great reminder of home and my mum’s cooking. I highly recommend eating here for an authentic Indonesian food experience! The owner Aries was very welcoming and we had a lovely conversation about Indonesia the food!

After 10 days of travelling, I need the comfort Indonesian food. And suddenly checked in map and found this place. The noodle is very delicious and satisfying.. even better than noodle in my island.. 😅 Feels like home and the best carboloading before Amsterdam Marathon..

It was the best Indonesian noodle in Europe i’ve ever eaten. The noodle were chewy and flavorful. The owner is very kind and very helpful. The ambience inside the restaurant was homey it was like i ate in my own house. My new favorite: Bakmie Babi Kecap Jamur

Food was okay. Asked for 2 waters, and got 2 50 ml bottles with no price listed anywhere in menu or in store. We assumed the price would be slightly higher than regularly market price, but it was charged at FOUR euros per bottle. What’s worse is that we noticed one of them was previously opened and wasn’t a full bottle. The owner replaced it, but didn’t provide any explanations. The entire thing felt like a scam. Very suspicious, and definitely made a terrible first impression of Amsterdam for us.

Absolutely delicious Indonesian food! The homemade noodles were truly delicious, and the soup tasted incredibly authentic—just like in Indonesia. You can tell the heart and soul of the food is put into the cooking here. The owner is incredibly friendly and creates a pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The curly noodles in Jakarta are incredibly delicious. The dumplings are soft, the meatballs are incredibly meaty and chewy, and the tofu balls are huge, bigger than the palm of your hand! The wonton soup is rich and delicious, both satisfying and soothing. The place is clean, and the owner is very friendly and generous with her insightful tips for getting around Amsterdam. They also sell old-school pineapple tarts (nastar), the fragrant type with a cinnamon and caramelized interior. They say they use Wijsman butter, which is indeed fragrant and savory. ☺️ We ate there and went back the next day to buy takeout because it was so delicious. Keep up the good work!

What an absolute gem of a place! The food was genuinely delicious and packed with flavor. I’m usually more into fried rice than noodles, but I was seriously impressed with the noodles here. The owner was super friendly too, which just added to the experience. No doubt I’ll be coming back again.

The noodles were good but the portion of the 'Bakmi all in one' was rather small for the price. The photo of the dish on the menu looked significantly larger than the small bowl I got for €19.50.

Very friendly owner and plenty of seating in the restaurant both inside and outside. The 'Mie Kuah' was tasty but not very special. Unfortunately, other dishes such as noodles and nasi were not freshly made but only warmed up. The price is also on the high side compared to the quality you get.

Being Indonesian holidaying in Netherland for 10 more days, we were craving for indo style noodles. And when we found it, OMG! it's like finding precious gem. The noodle texture is chewy and nice. For €19 noodle with full of tasty topping, it is so worth it. We ordered for dining in, and because the noodles we ate were so good, we also ordered for take away. As predicted, when we ate the take away noodle the next day, it still tasted good even without reheating it (I think because the quality of the ingredients Aries used are best ones).

Aries makes his noodles from scratch. All of his food taste like authentic Indonesian food. His prices are very reasonable. Aries noodles is one of my regular places to eat.

Delicious self made chewy textured noodle that is very addictive! I wish it’s close by so I can have it at least once a week. Add to that the crispy chicken skin, the meatballs, the fish paste filled tofu, the fragrant chili sauce and the sweet and refreshing Indonesian tea. So glad to have found this place! The zongzi/bakcang is even more delicious! I can’t stop craving for more. Place is clean, owner is super friendly, and price is well maybe pricey but worth the effort and the taste. Definitely one of the must visit in Amsterdam now!

A delightful cuisine to those who crave Indonesian noodles. I don’t eat that much, but for this, two bowls are not enough. You should also try the side dishes; Tahu Bakso and Krupuk Kulit are my recommendation (being an Indonesian). The restaurant itself is spacious, there are indoors and outdoors table, quite cozy for a noodle place. The owner is also super cool, we talked a lot about his lifetime’s journey running the restaurant. Think of it like your friendly bartender pal, but he serves you bakmi instead of liquors.

The best homemade noodles I’ve tasted that reminds me of home for real! The sambal, noodle, mushroom and everything are marinated so perfectly! Big shout out for the Tofu meatballs, the best ever! And of course special mention for the owner that is super friendly and nice, Indonesian hospitality can be felt right from when you step into the restaurant! OK. Would have like it much more spice in the noodles but it is quite OK. The noodles are itself great though. Perfect texture, not too soft not too hard. Meatballs OK. Tofu meatball quite good. A bit pricey. But the location is quite accessible so maybe that is why.

I ordered bakmie ayam pangsit and fried chicken skin on the side. They have of course the most authentic Indonesian noodles style “mie ayam”. Noodles were soft but also has chewy texture. The broth was light yet rich in flavor. One thing that could be better was the broth could have been hotter. As the noodle was served “warm” the broth should have been warmer or even hotter to complement each other as a full dish. Lastly, the fried chicken skin adds a lot of crunch and flavor to this bowl. I would come back for sure.

Super tasty, authentic and al dente Indonesian noodles aka Mi Ayam Jamur Pangsit. The only one in Europe. I would take a weekend holiday from London to Amsterdam just to eat Aries noodles. Worth it every single time. As close as you can get to mi karet in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta.

Love the home-made noodles! Add fish oil and lots of sambal from the table to make it taste more authentic. Don't forget to also order extra tofu meatball and chicken skin as side dish.

As an Indonesian I can say: not worth it at all! The taste is disappointing, the price is exaggerated and the portion is very small! You can make this yourself at home. Owner is nice, but sorry, it's all true.

In my opinion, some of the reviews here with negative comments are European people who don't understand this style of Indonesian Chinese chicken noodle.

We are in Amsterdam for vacation and craved for authentic Chinese Indonesian Noodles. Aries Noodles is authentic, just how we have it back home in Jakarta. Regulars are all friendly Indonesians. We had the Mie ayam komplit — Al dente noodles, wantons are plump and tasty. Add on the tahu goreng isi and finish off with Chendol. If you like it spicy, try adding the out of this world sambal (with caution). Aries is super friendly and hospitable, it was nice meeting another Indonesian business owner overseas. Worth a visit!

I have been here several times. The best "mie ayam" in the Netherlands so far. The noodle is thick, curly and delicious. I like the sweet "yamin" version of it with added dumpling soup, mushroom and chicken skin as side dish.. lekker

De regenachtige dag van gister was het perfecte moment voor een bezoekje aan Aries. Ik kwam alleen maar daar is deze locatie prima voor. Werd ontvangen met een grote glimlach en ging voor de ‘bakmi all in one’. Het gerecht bracht me terug naar Indonesië en voldeed helemaal aan waar ik op dat moment behoefte aan had. Niet de meeste sfeervolle locatie in Amsterdam maar je komt hier dan ook voor het eten wat je binnen of buiten op het terras kunt nuttigen. Je betaalt wat (ongeveer wat je ook voor ramen zou betalen) maar dat mag wat mij betreft wel voor deze keuken die vrij uniek is in Amsterdam. De andere bakmi opties zijn btw goedkoper.

Absolutely delicious noodle dishes! All-round great flavour, so simple but so tasty. The wontons were soft and delicious and the soup was a great added flavour. I especially loved the noodles' texture - perfectly chewy and fresh! A small restaurant a bit tucked away in Amsterdam but sooo worth it!

Came here around 3x Consistent good food, Aries is so friendly and it makes the overall experience so wholesome. I had different bakmi throughout and always pack an extra krupuk kulit. Authentic taste of Indonesian noodle soup. Just like the one you would get in Indonesia. May look like ”just” a bowl of simple noodle, but it really is full of umami taste. The noodle is homemade by the owner himself.

Came here in 2019. Authentic taste. Feels like home. It was a good bowl of mie ayam and of course teh botol to top it off!

Delicious noodle, but portion isn’t that big. You’ll need to order more than one portion if you have a “healthy” appetite, but I imagine it’s sufficient for most Asians :)

Our hotel was nearby so we tried out Aries Noodles. It is surrounded by apartments and businesses. Close to the Lelylaan train station and a tram, so if you are not staying nearby you can get there easily. The owner made our meal. We had fun chatting about his journey to having a noodle restaurant. The food was simple but very good.

The food was taken out of a box with his bare hand and then put into a microwave after we were told it was fresh made then he would continue to charge us €14 for this meal..

Fideos caseros, sabrosos fideos indonesios. Grandes porciones de fideos incluyen pollo, albóndigas y algunas verduras. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente si visita Ámsterdam y quería comer un bakmi ayam especial.
