Arigato in Wijk 13 't Hout

This used to be a familiar place for us, but we are crossing De Kade off our list. Today we had a nasty experience. There was too little staff. The staff that was there were slow, uninterested, inexperienced, etc. The food was not what we are used to. It took a very long time for our lunch to arrive, a brown roll was served instead of a white one, and the rolls were inedible. A combination of tough, stale bread and bad knives. There was music both outside and inside, just not the same. We asked for the music inside to be turned off because it was impossible to follow a conversation and because the two genres playing at the same time made us restless. Nothing was done about it. We wanted to have a drink here, but simply no one came. Not even to ask if our lunch tasted good, just no one. Not even after we had asked. Eventually, I walked to the bar myself to pay. It had taken long enough. Paying was quite a challenge after that. We won't be coming back here for the time being.

The food here is top-notch, but the service is unbelievably good. They take excellent care of you; highly recommended!

Friendly staff, good food, beautiful hotel

We had ordered something to drink and wanted to take a quick look at what we were going to eat. After waiting for about 45 minutes and indicating several times that we wanted to order something, we went to pay and left without eating, because they just wouldn't come to take our order.

I got myself some big snacks, which were as promised: tasty :)
