Atilla Turkish Food in De Kolenkit

What a great experience here. The food was really incredibly tasty and exactly what we were looking for for a good lunch. Everything tasted wonderfully fresh. The sandwich with generous portions of meat stood out immediately, in particular. The portions are substantial and the quality is top-notch. We had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back.

If you're going on vacation, you need to announce it on Google as well. People travel miles thinking it's open. Just putting a sign on the shop door is ridiculous.

Paid nearly €50 for 1 platter, 1 dürüm, and 3 ayran. It is absolutely not worth it. The food was mediocre and quite dry. For this price, you expect fresher and more flavorful food. Unfortunately, a disappointment.

Visited here the last day before I went home. Fantastically good and nice place with super tasty food. I had Kelle Paça and tasted their döner kebab, both were really really good and I really recommend it. Definitely first places I would visit again if I were to travel to Amsterdam again.

The tripe stew was fantastic. The lamb's head and trotters soup was also very well-liked. The meat inside the wrap was also quite good. It was filling, we will definitely come again.

It's a really nice and friendly place. The döner (not minced meat) was delicious. When I saw the tripe soup, they offered me some for free. I forgot the name of the blue-eyed employee, but thank you. I recommend it to everyone.

We were greeted with Atilla Usta's warmth as soon as we entered. Although he was about to close, he still served us because we had come from afar. The meat is truly the kind of döner kebab you've been looking for; I highly recommend you try it.

Atilla Döner has become a regular spot for me. The döner is always fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The kelle paça soup is my favorite. Rich in flavor and very filling. The staff is friendly and quick to help. You feel welcome. The place is clean and tidy. The tables are well-set, and the service is fast. If you want to eat truly good döner in the Netherlands, this is one of the best places. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely go.

Great welcome, very friendly. We found the soup overrated. Neither the lentil soup nor the kelle paca were what we expected. Doner was tasty, but it looked more like shawarma and not yaprak doner, which should be very thinly sliced. Would we go back? Muwah 50/50

It's a regular doner kebab, but it's very greasy, smells like meat and is very expensive.

If they didn't constantly wear black gloves and touch everything with them, they would deserve 5 stars!!!

👏👏👏👏👏Bravo!! Whenever I see a restaurant that serves a menu of few items, it is usually an indication that they focus on quality. This is definitely true for Atilla restaurant. They serve 4 types of soups and for the main course they focus on their homemade doner, which consists of very high quality meat. Not the usual doner full of fat. Congratulations to the owner for this brave choice of offering few items of superior quality. On top of the above, the people are very friendly and welcoming and there is free Turkish tea offered that you can refill. Definitely recommended, we will be visiting again for sure.

it's not yaprak doner or iskender, but this is proper doner. try sutlac also, has a nice and refreshing touch. There's nothing for decoration to compensate, definitely advised.

Want to eat the best döner in Istanbul? Yes? Then you need to go to Amsterdam West. You won't find a better döner, and if you do, let me know. It's also the most expensive. But the flavor is truly excellent. The meat is lamb. Yaprak döner is cut here. It's quality lamb with fat in between. Not minced meat, but tender meat and not too salty. Don't come later than 7:30, because by then the meat is usually gone...

I think Attila Döner is truly the tastiest döner in the Netherlands. I've tried several places, but they remain the best. I usually come every week, and it was always delicious. For the price you pay, you used to get a fair amount of meat in the dürüm or the bun, which really filled you up. Unfortunately, that's changed lately. My family and I weren't full. In the end, I had to order 2 or 3 dürüm döner just to feel full. It was the same before: the week before, I ordered a döner platter. There was very little meat on it, just vegetables and fries. I don't know exactly what's going on, but lately they've been adding very little meat to the orders. For that price, I find that disappointing. Hopefully, they'll address this and make sure there's enough meat in the orders again. Otherwise, it's a great place.

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic döner kebab in the Netherlands. The taste, texture, and cooking of the meat are amazing. The soups and desserts are also prepared with the same care—each one a feast of flavors. It's really hard to find this quality here, so I wholeheartedly give it 5 stars.

Really good Turkish food! Stopped by and had a wrap and bread roll with lamb which was really tasty. There was a lot of meat on the bread roll, I couldn’t finish it all. Good value for money and at a high quality. The seating area was clean, the staff attentive and friendly. This place is not close to our house but would go back again for the food. Highly recommended! Wrap and bread roll 12€ each.

Having come from France as a family of three, after a 3-hour bus ride, we were looking for a good kebab. Attila deserves a superb rating; the meat was superb. I started with a wrap, then ordered another sandwich because the meat was so good, I was so greedy! Thank you, it was perfect! 👍👍👍👍👍

Lamp soup was nice though slightly small, but the other portion sizes really made up for it. Had a really nice balance of meat, carbs and vegetables as well!

But it's not just the food that impresses: the hospitality of the owner and team is incredibly warm and authentic. You immediately feel welcome, like you're with family. The staff is friendly and very polite. The döner wrap we had was delicious, but my only criticism is that they lag behind Vienna and Germany in portion sizes and price. There, they offer more meat for less. I suspect this is a uniquely Amsterdam-specific issue, not related to the restaurant.

It was very close to the hotel I stayed at during my trip to Amsterdam. I live in Turkey, but I think it was the best döner kebab I've ever had. The price might be higher than ours, but the flavor was delicious.

I tried the döner kebab and tripe. Both were delicious. I came back a second day. I loved the cleanliness of the establishment, the delicious food, and the reasonable prices. I recommend it.

The döner plate is really delicious, and the kelle paça is also highly recommended, well-filled with meat. The service is quick, and the atmosphere is peaceful and without loud music. There's no prayer room, but there's a mosque a two-minute walk away.

Went there with my dad so idk the price he never lets me know overall the staff was smiling ready for small talk never acted disturbing amd food was on point they ran out of doner wraps so i got a doner in bread honestly more than fine they made a honest mistake and all

I came here for an early lunch. The employee who helped me was very kind. They have the menu in English if needed. I tried the doner kebab and tres leches cake. They also gave me Turkish tea to try and see if I liked it. There is plenty of seating inside. The restaurant is very clean. The food was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal on my last day in Amsterdam!

The best döner kebab I've had in the Netherlands :)))) It deserved 5 stars for everything, from the hospitality to the service. The waiters and wait staff are helpful and polite. The lavash bread isn't ready-made; they bake it themselves. I hope they don't compromise the Turkish flavor and real meat. Unlimited tea is also included.

Update: I paid a second visit around lunch and I loved the döner. Will definitely be back! I still give only 4 stars because I think that the quality should be ensured throughout the day, I read another review where the same thing happened and the döner at the end of the day turned out to be chewy. But with this last experience I can definitely recommend! —————— Unfortunately, I don’t understand the massive compliments for their doner in the reviews or in Parool. I got a broodje doner which was essentially chewy meat in a slightly old bread with some lettuce. It was generally very dry. It’s also a rather small portion and up to twice the price (!) compared to other Döner kebabs I had in Amsterdam. The staff was super nice though and the place looks very authentic Amsterdam-Turkish to me.

I heard this place was known for its Turkish Yaprak Döner, so I wanted to give it a try. The restaurant was quiet when I arrived, but they served me a lentil soup that was silky in texture, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced in flavor. I was told their kelle paça soup is also excellent, but I saved that for another visit. I had a portion of döner. The taste was authentic, though the meat was a little dry, probably because it was still early in the day. The unlimited tea was a nice and thoughtful touch. For dessert, I tried kadayıf and sütlaç. The kadayıf was wonderfully crisp with a syrupy depth, while the sütlaç was creamy, smooth, and delicately sweet, a satisfying end to the meal. The döner could be improved in tenderness, but overall the experience was good. The only downsides are that the restaurant is not in a central spot and the prices are a bit above average.

Soup is erg duur. The best döner was koud The soup is very expensive, and as for the döner meat... unfortunately, the meat was cold. It was my first and last time, and I won't go there again, it's a waste of my money. Normally, a master döner maker would cut the meat and give it to me, but these guys put it in a bakje, take it from there, and put it on a plate before bringing it back. The meat is cold, please find a solution.

Delicious food with excellent service. Doner kebabs sell out so don't be late for dinner. Soup was also a good option and if you have space try the baklava. The staff were friendly and there is an English menu.

Atyla has the best Kelle Paça in the Netherlands, I have eaten it everywhere, but in this place it gives you power and no nonsense like in many places, Atyla keep it up, come and have soup again tomorrow, old warrior

Went there with high expectations but i have to say that i found the food mediocre. Doner was dry and kelle paca soup did not give that collageny taste. Ended up not finishing both
