BackWerk in Wijk 01 Nijmegen-Centrum

I eat here often because I'm a student, but I've noticed lately that almost all the staff are unfriendly and impatient. I went there today, and there was no greeting or hello. I also asked if they could make a sandwich without cheese, but that wasn't possible either. They rarely refill the sandwiches, so there's little choice. Otherwise, it's delicious, shame about the staff!

They don't make sandwiches to order, even though there's a whole counter full of stuff to make something on the spot. The employee was also unfriendly. No alternative was offered, so I left; they're not getting my money.

My daughter and I always stop here for a sandwich or baguette whenever we pass by. It can get busy sometimes, but it's definitely worth the wait.

Chicken roll. A kind of chicken frikandel in a sticky dough. Chicken? I suspect it flew over it. It doesn't taste like chicken. A kind of frikandel with a nasty tasteless musty flavor. You can't recognize chicken by color or by taste. In addition, you can only pay by card here. At many backwerks you can now also pay with cash again or still, not here. It looks well cared for, but the range is more limited than at other locations.

Backwerk's sandwiches are good. Very strange service at this branch. They refuse to make an egg salad sandwich without a bacon slice. Absolutely no awareness of the climate crisis in which we have to eat less meat if we want to be able to live on earth in the future. And also how little effort. Just don't put ham on it. Ps the other branches do offer the vegetarian option! Ps 2 if it really is that hard work. Then turn it around. Only offers the vegetarian option.

They brought tuna bread, I took it and after 2 minutes I wanted to replace it with healthy bread, but they didn't, they made it very difficult, I won't come here anymore, they lost their regular customers.

Their oatmilk tastes like water. That's unfortunate. I hope they change it asap

Got a nice sandwich. Cost €1.80, had to pay €1.90 for plastic bag. €0.10 cents for plastic, why not a paper bag. I'm angry about that. If you care about the environment, change that plastic into paper. Scandalous!!!

Good place. Not as great as the Backwerk as that of Plein 1944, but that is also difficult to top

Bread is okay, but they make the coffee way too hot. That is cheaper but not immediately tastier; prefer one of the many other options at the station.
