Affordable bakery with friendly staff. Good location as well in the suburbs and near the two universities.

Unfortunately, the items that aren't freshly baked are very dry and rubbery. For example, the salmon bagel here is very fresh, crispy, and airy, as I can see from the one at Backwerk in Venlo. The restrooms are absolutely disgusting. They're often dirty, or there's no toilet paper or soap. They should be checked more often. I saw again today that the tables hadn't been wiped down by the staff. Customers had to do it themselves.

The staff weren't exactly friendly, at least if you have a tan, let's just leave it at that. I received my order and politely said thank you for your time, but I didn't get a "you're welcome" or a smile. Two women sitting next to me at a different table (no tan) brought their orders laughing. No, I'd rather go to Hema 👍🏻

A fantastic bakery with very friendly people. And then, to my horror, I hear that the business is closing and the staff is being laid off. How sad. This bakery has a huge social impact on the neighborhood. The ladies who work there know everyone. They're locals who have been coming for years and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee there. I hope the lovely employees can find a good new employer soon, and I wish them all the best.

I eat here often because I'm a student, but I've noticed lately that almost all the staff are unfriendly and impatient. I went there today, and there was no greeting or hello. I also asked if they could make a sandwich without cheese, but that wasn't possible either. They rarely refill the sandwiches, so there's little choice. Otherwise, it's delicious, shame about the staff!
