Rudy really knows everything about his profession and gives very educational workshops. Where I used to struggle with baking croissants, I learned the tips and tricks from him and I bake them just like the artisan baker does. You learn all this in a nice setting where he takes plenty of time for you and there is always room for your questions.

The 'Desem Brood' workshop was fantastic! Would recommend it to people who have never done it before and those with a bit more experience. Rudy has the knowledge and skill to explain the whole process to you in smell, color and taste.

Last Friday I did the sourdough bread workshop with Rudy. Really fantastic, definitely recommended! Everything was super prepared and a very nice atmosphere. Rudy explains everything well and has patience with all questions. We baked delicious breads, baguette foccacia and pizza. The pizza for lunch was really delicious! With a head full of knowledge and a bag full of breads, tired but satisfied home. There, together with the home front, we continued to enjoy the breads and today we ate delicious toasted sandwiches from the last bread. You've never had them so tasty. So a big 10 for Rudy👌

What a fun and educational workshop I had at Baking Bread. The pizza, the bread, the focaccia: everything that came out of the oven was equally delicious! I enjoyed the whole day (and still do now at home, with the bread I took home). I also got a lot of inspiration to get started myself.

I tried to make a sourdough starter myself for 4 weeks but to no avail. Finally gave up hope and searched online. After 3 days my starter has tripled. Very active starter. Incredibly happy with it!

The sourdough bread baking workshop was incredibly fun and educational. The pace was good and the explanation was very detailed. There was plenty of room for personal questions. I went home with delicious breads! The focaccia certainly didn't survive the evening, it was delicious! Also fun to bake your own pizza for lunch. Nice to receive starter and instructions, now I can finally really start my bread baking journey!

Super fun and informative workshop. There are a lot of hands-on assignments, so you really get to work on making dough yourself, feeling it and getting lots of tips and tricks along the way. Theory and explanation in the afternoon. In between you can also enjoy delicious snacks from your own baked goods. I went home full and satisfied, it is really worth it if you want to learn a lot about sourdough. You also get a starter to take home, so you can start baking right away! and with success!

The workshop was a lot of fun. Lots of information for someone who has never baked before but can do it. I have already baked some at home with excellent results. Rudy has conveyed the passion for his profession. We went home with a big bag of freshly baked bread. If you are looking for how to bake bread, this is a good workshop for an attractive price.

Followed a nice and clear sourdough bread baking workshop. I was already working on it at home, but my sourdough starter didn't really work (followed various internet pages, but with no results). This course is really a must. You learn to bake sourdough bread, focaccia, French baguette. Also nice to have a nice diagram of how sourdough works and recipes and tips on paper at home for working with sourdough starter. Free parking and delicious (homemade pizza) lunch. A real tip for those who want to learn to work with sourdough!

What a treat it was to spend the whole day working on all the skills involved in bread baking. The workshop was very well prepared and we were able to spend all the time functionally. Good sourdough bread is hard to come by. It was worth the 2 hours back and forth drive for their delicious sourdough! The owner was incredibly friendly and proud of the quality of their sourdough. We couldn't resist it and already finished one third of them on the way back in the car 😂 The freshly baked, high-quality sourdough was simply just amazing. The mustard one is my favorite. It’s art ! Beautiful!

This fine baker has a cooling unit/compressor on the roof for the bakery's cold room, but it's on more often than off. This results in the bedrooms on the first floor of the houses surrounding the bakery hearing that old compressor running all night long. Apparently, normal nighttime silence is too much to ask of our baker, who also doesn't have a closed enclosure around the cooling unit for the freezer room (which has been mandatory since 2012 according to the guidelines!!) This also makes it noisier than necessary. Sleeping with the bedroom window open for fresh, cool air in the summer isn't an option for my son. I've spoken to the baker about this several times, and he says he's doing something about it, but he doesn't. It's a real shame it has to be this way. I think the baker is waiting for someone "else" to do "something" about it. But whether this is good for the products in the cold room...
