The prices are a bit high, but that's just how Amsterdam is, unfortunately. However, the price is justified because the food is high quality and the service is excellent.

A very good stroopwafel, but at €11 a bit overpriced in my opinion. The opening hours from 7am are very good.

Delicious bakery offering a variety of fresh, sweet and salty baked goods and coffee. The service is quick, and the store is in a great location.

We stopped here and ordered some mini dutch pancakes. They were very tasty!! All the food in there looked yummy! Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Stroopwafel was good but totally overpriced (€10) and no price displayed. Feels like a scam.

Amazing experience in Amsterdam! I tried the best stroopwafel I've ever had: crispy on the outside and with a perfect caramel filling. Plus, the staff were super friendly and, to my surprise, they spoke Spanish, which made everything even easier and more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

No prices showed anywhere.regular Stroopwaffles for 7€ wich is overpriced for that quality and was not fresh . Staff was rude and When I talked to her, she had her back turned to me while answering. Also, my hot chocolate wasn’t hot at all and when I told her, she just said, “That’s how it is!”

Got a sandwich and coffee to go. Unfortunately, the (hot) sandwich with chicken, cheese, and pesto (for €7.50!) was disappointing and hadn't been heated properly.

Not very good. I ordered a roll and a chocolate stick — the chocolate one was really good, but the roll was dry from the microwave and not tasty at all. Better to walk half a block more and get one from Cinnamon Mood instead.

Tourist trap in my opinion. No prices showed anywhere. Add a Pistachio roll for 6.50€ wich is overpriced to me for that quality. When i ordered the roll the girl put it in a microwave before serving it to me, wich you shouldn't have to do if it's fresh. Also she didn't ask me if i wanted i heated or not. The bun was pretty dry and what looked like Pistachio cream on top was actualy green died icing.

Had a sandwich and a strawberry cinnamon bun. The sandwich was amazing, ate it up so quick, I dont have a pic. The cinnamon bun was also delicious. I asked the staff it was fresh, they confirmed and said: “I will even give you a bigger piece”. Super cute place.

Unfortunately, there was no allergen list for those with allergies. That's not up-to-date. The waitress took our comment personally. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience there.

We wanted to try famous dutch waffel, it was not fresh but taste rich with chocolate, we didn't ask the prices, they said for 2 Waffel and Matcha cost 28 euro. SO expensive!!!!!!!!!!! In the next day I bought it from an other places was 3 euros,was better

No pricing for the stroopwaffles and other basic products to be seen. We had to ask for it. 7€ for a plain stroopwaffle is over the top.

Was our looking for a coffee and some fresh baked goods at 8am on our first full day in Amsterdam but it seems nothing is open early on a weekday. Then I found this great little bakery and ordered a selection of items to take away, and a coffee. Everything was excellent!

Prices are not listed, which is sketchy in itself, and when I received the bill, I realized it was a definite tourist trap. The cashier forgot part of our order, so we had to wait longer for the last dish. For two warmed-up sandwiches and mini pancakes with light toppings, it was 25 euro total. The owner gave extra toppings for the wait, which was nice, and offered a free dish during our next visit, but... If nothing is made on the spot, fresh in front of you, these prices are WAY too much for premade food that's just warmed up, even if the staff are friendly.

Lovely bakery right in the center of Amsterdam! Freshly baked pastries, delicious coffee, and very friendly service. Highly recommend if you're around Leidseplein!

Its my first time being here in Amsterdam and I was walking around just to discover this area and found this Absolutely AMAZING bakery. Tried the recommended pastrys made straight at the shop it's self by the cool guy himself. He is very nice and very friendly as well. Totally 5/5!!!! Come and try it yourself!!

I have been a regular at Kwakman for many years, since I live just opposite them on the Prinsengracht. I usually patronized them 2-3 times per week. BUT NOW I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Since the recent change in ownership the vibe is totally different, the woman who attended me today was utterly unpleasant and rude. The ghetto-style hip hop music they were playing at 8 am was too loud and too hostile to bear. When I asked her to turn the music down, she told me I could leave. They just lost a loyal customer.

We had Caprese sandwiches and cinabons, both were heated in the oven and served to us by friendly and patient staff.

We love to get a coffee and croissant in the morning at the Kwakman. The views from the standing table outside is a great way to start your day.

I live in Amsterdam and this bakery is in absolute my favorite, for the food (croissant and mini pancakes the best) and for the coffee as well. The workers are very good people🫶🏼

10 euro for a waffle - that’s robbery

For two waffles they charge you 16 euros. Not even if they were made at the time. Additionally, they do not set the prices of any products. A tourist scam, nothing more.

The food was AMAZING and the waffles were warm they made everything by hand and all of the employes were really nice because they didnt have ice cream they gave me whipped cream and kinder for the same price you also get really good quality for the Price.

It is very clear that they are not trying to scam tourists. When I was choosing a dessert he told me that it was 10 euros before giving it to me so I didn't take it anymore. The sandwich, the waffle and the dessert in the photo, which seems to be typical of the area, were very good and not very expensive. How bad it is to take away or at most to drink it standing up at some bars outside.

I just walk in to take a cinnabons and casually I discovered that the barista were Italian and we started to talk. good talk, not so good the cinnabons

What made this place so lovely, was the amazing lady serving us. Her name is Salwa. She had the biggest smile when serving us and we had a fantastic conversation. So full of life and she really wanted us to leave the shop happy. The food was brilliant, but Salwa, you have made this a place for us to remember when we return. The only thing that could’ve made this place better, was if there was a seating area. There were roadworks directly outside the shop, so I guess that would’ve been the seating area.

Bought some hot food, it was heated in the microwave and was cold in the middle when I finally ate it. Maybe better for sweet food.

All products are offered wonderfully, lovingly and in a very high quality form and manner. A highlight of coffee, breakfast pastries and sandwiches... absolutely recommended!!!

Low quality coffee and overprice

Dried out bakery…. Not fresh! Last night I had a terrible stomach ache and had to go to the toilet…. Also who I went with!

Ham and cheese croissant 3.00, mint tea 3.85 Croissant is good, served hot and crispy. But the mint tea is pretty thin, not sure if that’s how fresh mint tea should taste like. It's a bit pricy overall. There is no seat but a table for standing outside. You can also sit by the river infront of the cafe.

Coffee is very good! Stopped for a quick brunch - coffee, pastry, doughnut. Nice place to stand and munch inside and out.

Great selection of baked goods. We went there a few times for their paninis and had a chocolate brownie and double chocolate cookie which were all very tasty. Easy to get to and fairly priced.

El chico que atiende es muy simpático y da un buen servicio. Los precios están en la media de la zona y la comida está bien, aunque algún dulce estaba algo duro. Le falla esa barra mugrienta de la puerta que mejoraría muchísimo con un par de mesas pequeñas.

Daughter and granddaughter's bought a few items from here and they were OK, but nothing to shout about. Bakery appears much larger from the outside than what it really is. Selections were modest at best.

Cappucino is quite nice! But also quite expensive unfortunately. I paid for 3 medium cappuccinos and one mini raisin bun a total of 14.50 Euro (excl. Tip). However, everything tasted good so it was fine at the end.

When I walked in I asked the man working there if it was okay if I made my order in English. He smiled and laughed and said of course. He was so friendly and kind! I ordered the apple pastry and a medium cappuccino to-go. Pricey, but worth it at €7. As you can see by my photos, everything here is freshly made by hand. The espresso machine isn’t an automatic one. Nice touch compared to most German bakeries :) The pastry was so chewy and light. They really worked the dough, really delicious! It’s filled with lots of spice, apples and raisins, then topped with sugar. Perfectly sweet. The cappuccino was a good high quality one. Hit the spot. Great food and experience. Enjoy this place while you are visiting!
