I didn't think i'd find it here by accident, its great and tasty and the stroopwafel are delicious! Great proffesional service ! 😃 Also fresh baking stuff Like all the pastrys, i could also order freshly baked sandwiches bread which i could Bring with myself! So that's a really great experience here, also the morning was reslly quiet so i enjoy a lot .

The bakery stuff is ok, the coffee ☕️ is bad and service very rude and overloaded… they serve also in paper cups coffee and spoil the coffee so it is a bit messy… we asked for ceramic cups… they just dumped it

The cappuccino and cinnamon rolls are delicious, and the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere. It's a great place to have dessert before visiting a museum and calm yourself down. 😆😆

When we ordered the chimney cake, we were told to wait for 15 minutes as they were freshly made. It proved that the wait was worthy. The classic one was served warm with sugar on top, cream and coffee dices on the side. The coffee was so so but they do have plant based milk. Other pastries looked yummy too especially one loaded with pistachio cream. Sugar intake over this meal obviously exceeds daily suggestion but it was Christmas time - a timely excuse.

Good drinks for about 4€ each, but all the cakes are absolutely horrendous, worst cake we’ve ever eaten. They are not fresh at all, the cheesecake and oreo cake tasted like they were expired or there for weeks.

Nice atmosphere, it's near the museum so the location is very convenient, friendly staff and the hot chocolate was so tasty.

Amazing place ! We've been coming here several days in a row. It's delicious. The breakfast rolls are excellent, the coffee is excellent, and the cinnamon rolls are fresh. It's the same friendly woman every time. Thank you for the friendly service!

For seven Euro you get a very thin chimney cake that is overbaked and tastes like cardboard. Nice atmosphere, though, but for the real chimneycake you go to Prague.

Sorry, I really can’t recommend this place. The staff was kind, but they definitely shouldn’t be making my favorite dessert — it was pretty bad.

I am happy for other costumers's experience, but ours was not very good. Wanted a takeaway chimney cake, but it was all thin and burned, as you can see in the pic attached. It tastes not at all like the original from Hungary. Maybe the nice ones they posted are done by the owners (all fluffy and delicious), because the girls - very nice although - press too much when putting it on the wood. Sorry, maybe it's just luck.

Honestly delicious! Came for a hot drink to get out of the cold and nothing disappointed. Do yourself a favour and grt a chimney cake (doesn't matter what flavour), it came out warm and was simply stunning! They're definetely big and rich enough to share. Will be back on our next visit!

Unpleasant brunette waitress! What's more, she cleans the cake display case with the same sponge she uses for washing dishes and touches the cakes with it! Avoid at all costs! Nice blonde waitress! The cake was too sweet and tasteless.

I wish I had a better experience. The staff was okay, not rude but definitely not friendly. We ordered coffee, cake and a chimney cake, which we were told takes 15 mins to prepare. The coffee was tasty, fresh and large. The cake was a bit dry, but still quite tasty- nice spice flavour. After 20+mins, we checked in with the staff and were told they had forgotten our order- they promised to start it immediately. We waited, but gave up at around 45 mins, although we could finally see our potential cake in the oven at that point (still not done though!). Overall, the staff were a bit unprofessional - one in particular was rather casual, and gave off the impression she didn’t want to be there. Cute store, but wouldn’t ‘t recommend if you want a good cafe experience. Based on the other reviews and our experience- despite the name, don’t order the chimney cake.

A very nice cage and bakery with a good Romanian cake made on the spot. It takes 15 min for a fresh cake. The staff was extremely kind. The combiner cake with pistachio and cream was very good. The lemon merengue pie was also very good.

Excellent place if you're visiting Amsterdam and going to the nearby museums. They're short-staffed, but it still works quickly. Recommended.

Friendly waitresses, but a bit of a factory inside. We thought we'd eat their sweet specialty like in Prague, but it wasn't good at all, badly cooked on a spit. The pretzels were very good, though.

Came here to enjoy a nice chimney cake, but unfortunately the experience was not good. Had to wait 30min to have the chimney cake, their signature dish...they said it would have taken 15min but in the end it was double that... And when it arrived it was totally overcooked, as it was cruchy and not possible to eat it by "unfolding it". The staff has also been quite rude, not smiling or saying bye when we left, quite a bad experience :(

I come here regularly for the superb raspberry macaron. Always to my complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, no macaron today, but a banana cake. What a disappointment. The bottom was rock hard. You couldn't even cut through it with your fork. For a good cup of coffee, this is the place to be. The espresso macchiato was excellent. It wasn't busy, so the four of us took up two tables. This was to the dismay of one of the staff members. Later, two women sat next to us and also took up two tables, but no one said anything. But I will definitely be back for the raspberry macaron. Question: Could the restroom be a bit cleaner and fresher?

Extremely Unfriendly Service. The staff were very rude and unhelpful. Bad attitude to be in customer service. She then claimed that the coffees had been ready for us to pick up and never told us that she had already called us to get them. They basically throw our coffees in the table. Extremely unprofessional people. .

Very unfriendly, impersonal service (made us wait for ages without saying anything), selling a milk coffee as a cappuccino without asking, NB: in a plastic cup without asking. Panino caprese with substandard mozzarella, half-warmed. Never again!

I happened to visit the café on my last two consecutive days in Amsterdam while I was nearby. The bread was delicious, and the woman taking our orders was incredibly beautiful. I visited twice just to see her. I wanted to ask for her number, but I didn't have the courage.

Cappuccino, espresso, and latte are all undrinkable and disgusting. Maybe clean the coffee machine?

+ Whenever I'm at Museumein, I go here because they make a great espresso macchiato. Unfortunately, they didn't have raspberry macarons today, but the lemon tart and red velvet were excellent alternatives. - The decor is dull, and the restroom could be cleaner.

The pastries and breakfasts were very good, but it's a shame about the cleanliness; in Italy, it would have closed quickly. The floors were dirty, and the furniture was dirty.

Nice little cafe serving a variety of fresh food and hot/cold drinks, pastries and chimney cakes which can be seen cooking in the window (you can choose from a variety of toppings and fillings). Prices are good considering how well positioned this cafe is, right next to the museums and well connected tram stops. There is plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. Worth a visit, recommend the cinnamon or pistachio covered chimney cake, satisfyingly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside!

Fair place in a touristy area. Right across the street from the museums. Nice selection of bakery goods, I visited for the banana bread. Cured my sweet tooth, a little different from what I’m used to in the US. Nice lady behind the counter and was very helpful. Very welcoming place, looks like a nice place for lunch. They have a couple chairs out front, so you are able to take in the scenery.

Speciality Chimney cakes were nice but the one of two ordered was a bit too dark baked. Also some troubles at cash desk getting order correctly charged.

I asked for a flat white, which is usually served in a cappucino cup but has 2 shots of espresso instead of one, so the proportion of coffee-to-milk is different. I received a large mug with boiled milk and a bit of coffee, which was definitely too hot to drink. I returned it, asking for a flat white and not a cafe-au-lait or latte machiatto, to which the staff replied: "It's coffee, of course it's hot" and "It has 2 shots of espresso so it's a flat white". A kind reminder that: 1. Coffee milk should never be boiled and it should definitely not be served close to boiling temperature. 2. The most important aspect of a good coffee is the PROPORTION of milk-to-coffee and not the absolute quantity. Instead, I asked for a simple doppio with absolutely no milk. Not meaning to rant, but to kindly ask coffee not to be served too hot or with too much milk, and definitely not to snap at customers when they politely ask for the product they paid for. Thank you.

The waffle felt overpriced at 6,50€ for the smallest 70g waffle I've seen. Taste was good. The toilets were flooded and the staff just closed them instead of looking for a way to help. Staff was rude when ordering and paying cash, trashcans were full already at 2pm.

They burned my first chimney cake, didn't tell me and of course it took another 15 minutes to make another. The result was good enough, but not worth 30 minutes with no apology.

I found it expensive for what it was. The service was also a bit lacking... A "typical" local waffle that had no flavor. No cutlery or napkin. An expensive hot chocolate for what it was. Okay, it's probably an interesting chain, but I found it tasteless and a waffle that looked more like something undercooked.

Bakery with seating. We visited on a Sunday. There were lots of customers and two employees, so it was self-service only. The coffee, drinks, and food were very good.

Offering a small space for outdoor and indoor seating. This coffee shop is known for their chimney cakes. The cakes were light and fluffy. It reminded of the texture of a croissant. The coffee was decent. The customer service was great. They have a home feelings about them. They offered a nice variety of warm and room temperature sandwiches and pastries.

We came to have a snack after an afternoon of museums. It is a small place with a wide variety of cakes, cinnamon rolls, ice cream, croissants... coffees... There are two girls who take orders, very efficient for the entire workload, and very friendly. There is no table service. We liked it a lot and we would repeat!

Really bad coffee and cappuccino

What I like the most about this café is the hygiene. They all wear gloves and change them for each customer, which is one of the best things about this place. Not many cafés in Amsterdam do that, even though it’s so important—especially with all the bacteria around these days. In other cafés, you see girls with long nails making sandwiches, and honestly, those nails are one of the dirtiest places where bacteria can hide. That’s just not okay when it comes to food prep. Great job to this café—keep going like this!

We came upon this little bakery around 9:30 when most shops were closed due to Good Friday and was pleasantly surprised. The chocolate cake and coffee were decent, we tried the signature chimney cake and it’s a bit disappointing as it’s a bit burned though interesting and might be a temptation for first time foodies to give it a shot.

Ordered a cinnamon sugar chimney cake. It was good but too much sugar and not super soft and springy. Bag was also very greasy. Auto 1 star because the stairs to the bathroom in the basement were slippery and I fell down. Unacceptable.

Terrible experience. We ordered using the exact fancy photo(cake with ice cream) in google reviews but got served something very different. The staff was also unfriendly. Would not recommend this place.
