Date night with my wife in a nice and cozy and yet cool atmosphere. Great service and good food.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, but the €12 ham sandwich is a real disappointment. Perhaps it was our assumption, but you expect ham to be served warm—which turned out not to be the case. We'll take that for granted. What follows, however, is rather unsatisfactory: two slices of white bread with a few loose lettuce leaves, a few large pats of butter, mini gherkins, and a few slices of ham. The whole thing is tasteless and completely out of proportion to the price. This €12 sandwich simply doesn't belong on the menu.

The food is great, but the atmosphere is very strange, with lots of dogs and regulars who put small dogs on your table and get very angry if you find that strange. Eat and go.

Went here for our team night out, food was amazing, tried a lot of different dishes and everything was delicious. Pictures are included to show how good the food looked. It tasted as good as it all looks!!! 2nd time ive been here and im not disappointed! It was extreme busy with a chilled quiet vibe and its easy to talk. Id recommend reserving a table as it was busy.

Came for the pizza but we were too early. They're not on the lunch card. It's not cheap, but nowhere is nowadays. The food was good. I has the Angus burger with chees, bacon & avocado - u has to pay extra for the last three. There was no 'burger sauce' as on the menu - didn't care. I didn't want the brioch, I was offered other bread. The Hollandaise sauce on my companions (Florentine?) was pretty dreadful, probably not made with butter. The avocado and feta sandwich was OK except the waitress forgot to add the poached egg which was brought later - not nicely presented at all The waitress actedike she was doing us a favour deigning to take our order. The waiter was actually pleasant and friendly but he only brought some drinks. The cheapest red wine was very nice, as were the chai and chai latte. It was just after 14.00 so not busy. It's well laid out and people can be fairly pleasingly propped in - but I never go when it's busy The chips were fabulous as was the truffle mayo but rosemary & pepper were missing/missed 2 drinks each, 2 sandwiches, 1 burger, 2 portions of chips €100

A lovely spot in Amsterdam. Wonderful in the summer on a large terrace. Not so great in the winter. The seating isn't comfortable, and the layout isn't ideal either. The service is very friendly. The lunch menu is excellent, but the dishes are very small.

Great atmosphere and a fantastic steak! The service was excellent; professional, friendly, and attentive. Finding someone to pay was a bit tricky, and upon leaving, there was no contact or "goodbye." Note: not all seats have backrests!

Don't come for the flat pizzas like flammekueches... they're not the chef's strong point! Avoid them, except for the smile of the pretty waitress.

We were pleasantly surprised that our neighborhood restaurant was so good. The food was great, the service and the atmosphere also very good. It was raining so we had to sit inside which was not a disappointment at all. We were very impressed with the acoustics. Great place! Incredibly friendly service! Nice and fast too! We had the BLTC and Old Bay fries. The BLTC was very good and generously filled. However, it had a ton of ketchup on it. Maybe it's an option to serve that separately in a bowl, because it was very overpowering.

We've been frequent guests at Marathonweg since they've opened. It's a simple and beautiful neighborhood restaurant, that attracts people from different kinds and places. We love the atmosphere, the service is always friendly and accommodating and the food is great, fresh, varied and flavorsome. We enjoy the menu changing with the seasons, meaning we are always surprised with new flavors, while they always keep some classics (yummy pizzas, meat cuts from the Green Egg, a burrata dish, sgroppino!) that you want to go back for.

Very nice weather in Marathon. I do recommend hiring a maintenance man to check and repair the toilets once a month. Renewing or repairing the push buttons and brushes seems important to me for such a top tent.

The pizza with fennel salami and bursts are godlike, this is the must in this place, I ate it several times and never been disappointed. Chocolate mouse with the olive cake is also a masterpiece. Upd. The most godlike burrata with grilled vegetables and truffle salami pizza are gone from the menu, iam crying :(

Our favorite restaurant for years, such beautiful food and good atmosphere

Excelente restaurante de pizza y parrilla. Me tomó mi amigo holandés y fue una buena elección. Mi arrancador Burratta era perfecto absolutamente perfecto. El restaurante es bastante grande, pero en el interior encontrar mesas más tranquilas y así la conversación fue fácil. Gran equipo amable. Observo que algunas críticas dicen caro y aunque no pagué no recuerdo pensar que los precios eran caros. Me llevo a mi esposa en mayo después de un día visitando los tulipanes. Está fuera del centro, pero solo un corto viaje en el tranvía número 12.

One of the best spots in Amsterdam. The service was quite fast and professional. Food arrive quite quick, and it was delicious, warm and juicy. The boneless chicken and the flat iron steak were absolutely marvellous. Don’t miss the cheesecake too.

Seriously good food and great service. The atmosphere gets 4 stars because, although it’s very cosy, well lit and no loud music etc, as the restaurant got busier I found I could barely hear my fellow diner speak. But that was really it. Yum!

Super cozy atmosphere. Even though the whole place was full and we had a table in the middle of the place, we still had an intimate seat and were able to have a good conversation. Staff extremely nice and attentive. The menu is not too large and varied. The white Rioja was excellent

Great place for lunch, also for informal business meetings. Many tables and chairs available. Lunch menu contains the usual things you would expect for a lunch, vegetarian, meat, hot, cold.

The service was really game-changing. Very sweet, warm ladies in the service. We came to eat with our daughter and even her cuddly toy got a chair, so child-friendly and sweet!! The food was super tasty, and the little one was also taken to the kitchen with dessert. We will definitely come back again!! Ambiance is also a 10+ by the way, super warm and cozy.

Service top! They had to reconsider the choice of music, it consisted of a monotonous thump and was too loud, resulting in everyone talking louder to drown out the music. Food was good, but because vegetables have to be ordered separately, it is quite expensive. My table companions told me that the tartare was too spicy. The concrete bench, with cushions that actually need to be refilled, was not really comfortable.

Pleasant low key restaurant. Not haute cuisine Entrecote was ok could have been juicier, appreciated the way it was pre cut. Boneless chicken soft probably sous vide. Tarte Tatum was standard.

We came back, 3 years ago we came here regularly, it was good then. Now, sorry, but downright bad! The fish of the day......a large fish stick, as if I were in a snack bar. Not even a small piece of vegetable. Very bare and tasteless, but a lot of salt! Waste of money.

You order a table for 9 at 8:00 PM. At 8:52 PM you get a table for 6 for... 9 people. And the side where there should be 4 is blocked by a thick pole. The order will be taken at 9:25 PM. At 10:15 PM, when you're already sick of us.... comes dinner. But of course that doesn't fit on the table. After 3 bottles of Marsanay, a bottle of Pomerol is ordered. For the sweet sum of 78 euros a bottle of Bordeaux at 12 degrees Celsius. 2 stars for atmosphere: it is a bar-grill and you can tell by the screams of the people around you, who are partly driven to shout at each other by the music. It's not a restaurant. It was a one-time visit.

Ambiente y comida están bien, el servicio debe ser más atento. Para mi opinión un poco caro por la calidad que sirven. Toma en consideración 100 € cada uno como mínimo.

Binnen leek het wel een kindercreche! Schreeuwde en huilende kinderen met hun ouders. Het vlees op de pizza was beschimmeld. We hoefden die pizza niet te betalen, maar toch je wil in een restaurant geen beschimmeld eten geserveerd krijgen. Al met al een beroerd avondje uit . Nooit meer naar toe er zijn genoeg betere alternatieven. Overigens eten is ook behoorlijk aan de prijs waardoor je verwachtingen ook hoog gespannen zijn maar om dan beschimmelde prosicutto op je pizza te krijgen. Misschien moet de voedsel en waren autoriteit daar maar eens een controle doen in de keuken.

They have pizza at the menu. I made the mistake to try it. It’s more a cracker with tomato than a pizza. Tasteless. Useless. Their bitterballen were good though. Service is echtic, not very professional.

Food was nice but perhaps a little less exciting as the menu suggested (octopus a little tough, pepper side dish a little undercooked and bland). But could've been an off day in the kitchen.

We first had a nice drink on the terrace and then (due to the somewhat bad weather) had to eat inside; ribeye and delicious wine The wine advice was certainly not the most expensive wine on the menu. That's nice too. Still, we made our own choice. Attentive service and also nice You can park in front of the door (not like me, only turning off the parkline when you are home saves on costs)

Marathonweg is our regular destination when we don't want to cook or just want the best pizza. The service is always friendly and attentive, making it a pleasant experience every time. It's usually extremely busy, which just shows how popular this place is. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere remains cozy and relaxed, ideal for families, dates and all ages. Definitely recommended!

Great pizza, loved especially the pizza spinaci with feta, spinach and preserved lemons, so special and unusual, one of the best pizza tastes hsve had ever!

We were here for a group dinner. All staffs were so friendly and kind from the arrival and i was sure that i made a great choice. The dishes were also nice. Especially libeye stake and pizza were super.

Staff neglected us and avoided contact even though it was not busy and we tried to catch waitresses attention.

Yesterday we spotted people leaving and wanted to take their table on the terrace.The waitress ran to us and it a rude way told us that we cannot sit there because the table is reserved. We asked for what time and she said RIGHT NOW! No problem, we found a table at the place across the road. It was funny to see that after 2 hours the table remained empty. When did the service become so selective?

Apparently they don't want everyone as a customer. You have to ask the kitchen if you can order food to take away, while everyone else (stereotype old south) can order food without any problems. Bizarre!

We enjoyed the fast and personal service, the excellent food and drinks and the very nice atmosphere. Also, the spot itself is truly terrific.

This restaurant is close to our house and is one of my favorite places to eat. The service is friendly. Although some gentlemen could still be a bit friendlier. The food is more than good. Although I think the steak is a bit minimal, I would like to have a little more meat on the plate. A bowl of fries always goes well. But the outside terrace in particular is very cozy and, thanks to the partition, there is little noise from the road and it also looks very pleasant. We will definitely come much more often this year!

All in all a very good experience. Friendly staff and the food was delicious! We had 3 starters to share and all very tasty! We had the chicken and steak as main course. I have to say that besides that wonderfully soft, tender and juicy chicken, my pieces of steak were a bit insignificant BUT the steak was also very tender and very tasty! The Dame Blanche is definitely a dessert that I will come back for! Thank you!

Cozy restaurant with a good atmosphere, but the music is way too loud and you can't hear each other. Thumpy music that adds nothing, a nice jazz or quiet lounge music would be better. You get very little food, price way too high! 9.50 for a mini bowl of Brussels sprouts, a small bowl of non-special fries with Parmesan cheese on the bottom, scallops as 'main course': 2 mini pieces with nothing added, etc. The steak: 2 very small pieces, maybe just 100 grams? Add 1 small half stewed onion. Delicious, but really came home with a grumbling hunger and a hoarse throat; had dinner with 6 people but could only talk to two; rest unintelligible. 65 euros on
