Horrible service. Staff was just chatting all the time even though there weren't many customers. Also the coffee tasted like water. Nice interior design though.

I had the goat's cheese salad and at first, I had my doubts. I wanted more ingredients, but then, the ingredients that I had proved delicious enough for me to get the hell over myself. And the bread that came with the salad was divine, full of seeds and fruit. Top drawer. The service was great – a good team younger and more experienced staff that clearly worked together well. I'm here now. I'm impressed enough to live review the place and have another glass of wine. It's a Thursday afternoon in July. The sun is out. The shaded sidewalk here is full, 15 or so tables, and it's all going off extremely well. Oh! I just saw one of the waitresses spraying table cleaner into the cloth away from the table before moving in to clean. AWESOME. Super well done. So many places I've been where people have sprayed willy-nilly, a metre from the faces of dining customers. Awesome. Great job. I appreciate you.

We were there in the afternoon and ordered a hibiscus croissant and a slice of apple and berry cake. The cake itself was tasty, but charging €8.25 for a small slice (about 8x8 cm) is almost outrageous. Unfortunately, the croissant didn't taste of hibiscus at all and wasn't worth the price. It's a nice bakery with a lovely atmosphere, but simply too expensive.

What an incredibly disappointing experience. We came to Le Pain Quotidien Amsterdam hoping for a relaxed and enjoyable meal — instead, we were met with one of the worst service experiences I have had in a long time. The waiter showed absolutely no interest in making us feel welcome. He was cold, dismissive, and borderline rude from start to finish. The low point? He actually threw our plates onto the table. Not placed — threw. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable in any restaurant, let alone one with Le Pain Quotidien's reputation. When you travel and choose a restaurant, you expect a minimum level of respect and hospitality. We received neither. Avoid this location if you value basic courtesy.

Perhaps because the shop two doors down is a coffee shop, there was a strong smell of drugs wafting over when we sat on the terrace (Amsterdam has places like that, so it's not just in front of this shop). I regretted choosing the terrace seating. The cake was delicious, but the coffee was just average. It felt a little pricey. The interior looked nice, but it was difficult to enter (I went to the entrance, but there was no one to guide me, and there were no customers inside). The elderly waitress with short hair who served us on the terrace didn't set out knives and forks for each person individually, instead handing all the cutlery to one person haphazardly, and then asked for a tip at checkout, which I disliked. It lacked class.

Food was decent but the staff was a bit rude and the honey that I requested for my tea was infested with ants. Not sure I'd recommend this place.

Lunch for 2 whilst on a day trip. Local beer was nice and citrusy. Food was delicious - Italian tarting and hummus and vegetables flatbread. Lovely waiting staff.

Waitress forgot to put in my salmon avo tartine, the they brought out an omelet and then eventually brought my order. This took about 45min and food was average at best

First visit was for breakfast. I ordered the avocado toast and a chai, my husband ordered the complete breakfast with cappuccino. He was very pleased with his selection. I was happy for the vegan options. Second visit was for lunch. I had the veggie bowl. Perfect vegan selection. Very happy with our visit.

Only one star, because an espresso to take away for 3 euros and 50 cents is unacceptable.

We stopped by for breakfast. We tried the soup of the day and the French toast. We found them delicious. Afterwards, we tried the Earl Grey tea. We liked it. It's a nice place where you can sit and spend hours. But most importantly, the staff are very attentive and polite. They have power outlets for charging phones and the restrooms are clean. I’ve been to Le Pain on Spuistraat a couple of times now, and every single time Gianluca has made the experience truly lovely. which makes such a difference. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and the atmosphere. It’s honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Great service like this deserves recognition!

The nice place, the nice attention, but the super simple food! expensive for what you get, the glasses of water smelled like eggs. Nothing spectacular! the tasteless coffee I had to order an extra shot of coffee. The women's bathroom was not so dirty, but the men's bathroom was disgusting! for the prices they have if they should care more about what they offer. Unfortunately this is my second time, my first time in Amstelveen and now in Amsterdam.

An excellent chance find for a late brunch. We returned the next day for lunch, excellent service and superb food. Great atmosphere and a real artisan quirky vibe don't miss it.

The breakfast was SPECTACULAR. It's expensive, but totally worth it. The service was excellent and very attentive. Just looking at the place when you sit down for breakfast makes your mouth water. Plus, there's self-service spread on the table: Nutella, peach jam, and strawberry jam—as much as you want! Incredible. The atmosphere is super sweet with lovely music. 100% recommended!

Great place for breakfast, brunch/ lunch or even quick breaks after a long day around Amsterdam. A bit pricey but their food condones that. - Eggs were very soft and creamy unlike most breakfast spots. - Chicken Sandwich was crunchy and tasty. - Coffees were decent. Their pastries and dessert are a must try.

Very expensive for food that wasn't excellent and the service was terrible. The waiters were confused, complaining loudly to each other. I ordered a large macchiato. He brought me a small latte. I complained, and he said, "But a macchiato is a latte." "Okay. But I ordered the large one, not the small one." I ordered an Italian toast. The bread portion is large, but there's very little ham, tomato, and buffalo mozzarella. I wouldn't go back.

Terrible food. Pics or didn’t happen, right? The first photo is what I had, the second one what it was supposed to be. Bread was not baked properly. The filling was subpar. Bad “pinsa” overall. I had flat white with almond milk but the problem was the almond milk they use is sweetened. Why?? It was also very watery. Maybe desserts are good, I don’t know. I am dissappointent.

Super friendly and attentive service staff. Unfortunately, I find the food a bit overpriced for my taste! We paid €40 between us for two hot drinks and two egg dishes, which we had to add a lot of salt and pepper because they were barely seasoned. At least all the ingredients on the menu are organic and fair trade.

Disappointing breakfast. Quality of the bread and croissant was bad (not fresh). Have had this breakfast before in other countries and it was perfect. I got another croissant and still it was the same dry taste. You pay a lot for something not worth it really. The jams were almost empty, jars don’t look clean. Overall bad experience and staff didn’t seem to really care.

I was here today at 4pm, I ordered a lemonade and a verry crumble, when I got the berry crumble and ate a bit I noticed ants in the cake, I did get a refund but needless to say I didnt eat anything for the rest of the day.

Not worth it for the price tag, especially for the quantity of food. The yogurt parfait was fine, but granola to yogurt ratio was poor with only a few pieces of melon. The granola itself was quite tasty though. The mini pancakes were nothing special.

This is my third time in Amsterdam, and every time I have breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien. It's always good! This time I had the avocado bread and a vegan cappuccino—both delicious. Friendly, attentive service, and a lovely atmosphere. The menu offers great breakfast and brunch options, including plenty for vegans. I'd happily go back!

I guess if you think a couple scrambled eggs, an underripe avocado and two slices of stale-y bread are worthwhile at a mere - what was it, 15 or 16 Euros - then by all means, go for it! Otherwise it's a big not-again for me. Also, tables are so close that you can scratch your neighbours ear. I like to play tourist every now and then, but this time, I just felt dirty afterwords. On the plus side, the coffee was ok.

Had lunch here today and it was all well taken care of. Our Tuna and Italian Tartines arrived quickly and were tasty. One of the employees Alexander was very polite and attentive and it was a pleasure to eat there.

They took our order then forgot it. Spent half an hour sat waiting before we had to leave after getting no food

Very disappointed. We waited a while for our order to be taken - fair enough (even though the waiters were standing around chatting...). However they forgot our order completely. We ended up having to leave for our appointment as we ran out of time waiting. Overall if you expect a minimum level of service - avoid. There are many great brunch places in Amsterdam.

Alexander's service was excellent; He was attentive at all times to ensure that we were well and gave us good advice. Everything we ordered was delicious, the chocolate was magnificent and the mini pancakes excellent.
