Nice place, friendly service. Menu a bit limited especially if you are vegetarian but the food is rather good and very well presented. Good price for value.

The atmosphere was good, the food was good, although the Caesar salad dressing was a bit too sour. The toasted sandwich was large, fresh, and delicious. Otherwise, the seating was comfortable and the service was friendly.

Ten months ago I came with a work group and we had such a delightful experience. I decided to come back this summer... what an error ! The restaurant was almost empty but service wasn't efficient at all. Dishes hadn't littlest taste and portions were very tiny. Salt must have fallen into fries, disgusting. Definitely an address to forget, too bad.

Top birthday dinner. A bit chaotic at times, but that has its charm. Especially when it is all solved with a smile.

We've come here a few times, for either work event dinners or friend meet up, but this past weekend we went for a date night, and we were so impressed by how flavorful the slow roasted chicken and gochujang cauliflower was. So much so we debated coming back the next day! May they never take the chicken nor the cauliflower off their menu, see you again very soon!

We found ourselves here by chance, won over by the location. The interiors are neat and modern with an industrial style. Excellent Moscow Mule, less good the Negroni. Spectacular hamburgers and fries. Excellent service and fair prices.

Very tasty food here, but the portions were very small. In our opinion, not really suitable for big eaters, unless you don't mind paying a lot of money. We were really shocked by the 'shared dining' dish of cauliflower. We thought €28 was really absurd. All this is apart from the fact that it is really tasty, but just extremely overpriced.

on the most beautiful Saturday in terms of weather so far, we sat on the terrace of the Kop van Oost. The chef immediately agreed to our request to make a mix of the Caesar salad and the Romaine salad and it turned out great!! the fries were nice and crispy and stayed that way! incredibly attentive and nice service: it was a big party with the most beautiful view in the city as a bonus!

Another relief to eat here. Besides the fact that the dishes are surprising and taste delicious, the service is also very friendly and helpful with explanations about the dishes. Kop van Oost could also have been called the Pearl of East. Highly recommended.

Haven't had such a good meal in a long time. Friendly service and an overall very good experience. The BBQ menu was really great!

I don't know what was going on today, but unfortunately the service was very poor. We got our three drinks ordered with difficulty after sitting for 10 minutes, then it took another 15 minutes for them to be on the table. Snacks were not available at first, but suddenly they were later? It was all very sloppy and slow, even though it wasn't even that busy. Tasty arrancini but not worth it due to the service and price. Hopefully they improve the service otherwise we won't be back anytime soon.

We rented part of the restaurant with a large group and it was great! The communication before the dinner was good, the service on the evening itself was great and the food was very tasty! The whole group had a great time! Definitely recommended for large (and small) groups :)

Had a delicious meal here again last night. I continue to think this is a pearl in the East that should be more highly valued. The new menu is really great with absolute highlights such as the Asian oysters, the burrata with twist, the 'carbonara' reinvented, the boneless chicken in tarragon sauce (don't forget the velvet mashed potatoes, which are truly divine) and the financier for dessert. Price-quality super good, friendly service and the wine list also excellent. We will definitely come back, especially to finish off with a game of petanque with the neighbors.

What a great tent! Trendy atmosphere, very friendly service, and fantastic food. They have a small menu, but the dishes on it are small works of art that would not look out of place in a much more expensive restaurant.

De Kop van Oost was the perfect choice for our post-wedding dinner with 45 guests. The food was outstanding, offering a delightful mix of flavors everyone enjoyed. The attentive and impressively efficient service ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. Communication with the staff before the event was seamless, we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Très beau restaurant, très bel emplacement avec vue sur le canal. Nous avons très bien mangé. Le service est assuré par une équipe de jeunes mais ils sont un peu brouillon. Nous avons du réclamer plusieurs fois nos consommations (vin et eau). On nous a compter une bouteille de vin à 55 € que nous n'avons pas consommé. Mais sans aucun problème ils nous ont rembourser.

Had dinner at Kop van Oost Côte du Boeuf last Saturday. It was excellent. Nice wine with it. The herb butter sandwich beforehand was also really delicious. Recommended!

Yesterday, July 19, we made a reservation for 3, for the Greek evening, especially for the Greek live music that we were promised around 9 p.m., that was "part of the deal". When there was still no DJ around 9:30 PM, we asked the waiter where the music was. It turned out not to be the case after asking colleagues. A bit of a shame because we came especially for that. Food was good, atmosphere was great, temperature on the terrace was really Greek, so we enjoyed it. You have to pay in advance (fine), confirm your reservation on the day of dinner (fine), but then I would have appreciated being informed that the live music had been cancelled. And with an ouzoo as compensation, I would have been completely happy...Yamas!

We went for the special Greek 3 plates menu. The food was delicious, and the day was splendid in the terrace. We've been several times to the restaurant as the quality/price is high and the location exceptional. This time, I can only say that the service was low. First of all, there are not enough tap water bottles for all tables, and whenever one was free you will need to ask them at that moment. Secondly and most dissapointing was that between the entrance and the main dish it took 50 minutes, plus requesting them twice where and when should we expect the food. I was not hungry at all when it arrived, and it was a pitty, because as I said the quality and presentation is perfect. Last but not least, they left the entrances' plates empty during all that 50 min, meaning not paying attention at all.

Een teametentje met een groep van 25. Zeer slecht. Afgesproken details waren niet bekend of verwerkt. Geen keuze mogelijkheid tussen vis, vlees of vegetarisch. Pas na uitgebreid gesprek keuze in hoofdgerecht. Maar voorgerecht was alleen burata ( geen snaak). Hoofdgerecht was goed. Echter waren mensen vergeten en tussen de eerste en laatste die het gerecht kregen zat meer dan 40 min. Tevens vlees verkeerd bereid. Onze zwangere collega had vega bloemkool besteld maar kreeg stronk spitskool zonder overleg..de bloemkool was op werr er gezegd na vragen waarom. De groep was compleet om 1830 echter pas eerste hoofdgerecht op tafel om 2030. Velen zijn niet gebleven voor nagerecht o.dat de parkeergarage van de Vomar om 22uur ging sluiten. Collega's zijn op een gegeven moment zelf de drankjes maar gaan halen en zijn de keuken in gegaan te vragen waar het eten van de rest van de groep bleef! Zwaar onvoldoende. Niet restaurant waardig. Echt heel erg slecht. Om eerlijk te zijn hadden we gewoon moeten opstaan en weggaan..

I wouldn't eat here for lunch, the shrimp salad contained exactly one shrimp cut in half and the food was cold.

Great canal side bar, good for an afternoon relaxation spot. Drinks are quite pricey though.

Very nice location, we sat on the terrace right by the water. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty.

Excellent steak,asparagus and sauce. Apparently one of the chefs walked out delaying the service of multiple meals, but the server recovered well and even comped our drinks.

Weil uns die Lage und der Blick auf die Gracht so gut gefiel, haben wir uns das „Kop van Oost“ ausgesucht. Die Karte war klein was für uns grundsätzlich ein Zeichen für frische Küche ist. Der Burger war matschig und das Patty halbroh und ungewürzt. Die Frietes waren ausgezeichnet. Das vom Alter her extrem junge Team wirkte leicht überfordert.

Great location in the sun, but totally ignored by the staff. After 15 minutes of no menu, no drinks and zero recognition we walked out. It was not even busy. Terrible.

Total disappointment...we arrived in a good mood in the sunshine on the cozy terrace in the shade of the old mill with a view of the canal..The ambience is great...the drink order was 80% successful, the sparkling wine and wine were brought, the bottle of water was forgot... bringing the menu cards took 12 minutes. The order wasn't taken... after 40 minutes my friend asked nicely at the restaurant whether we could order... it took another 18 minutes until someone came... with lots of apologies it was time to get started , so we were assured...we turned the clocks to zero and were really still friendly, since we are very relaxed travelers...well, it moved on...I had suspected it, they let us go another 34 Waiting minutes, no food came...what followed was an unparalleled impudence...when asked further, the waitress said that something had gone wrong during the transmission to the kitchen, i.e. something she was specifically responsible for (!). I don't trust the waitress to be so stupid...I asked if WE had done anything wrong, she almost couldn't withstand my very scrutinizing gaze...I suspect it had nothing to do with our origins...being able to do otherwise we can't explain it...we paid and then left really disappointed...we were looking forward to a special evening...by the way, hungry and hungry, we went to the pastalab across the street and ate really good, freshly made Italian pasta. . were welcomed like friends..balm for body and soul..highly recommended.

Am ersten Tag in Amsterdam angekommen und dort drausden ohne Reservierung gegessen...es war wirklich super...im Schatten der alten Mühle mit Sonnenuntergang..der Wein dad essen war wirklich gehoben gut...zwei tage später sind wir dirt wieder eingekehrt..komplettes Gegenteil.. man hat uns nicht bedient..bestellte Getränke kamen nicht...die Speisekarte kam.. danach kein Service mehr...nach ca. 40 Minuten auf Nachfrage wollte man uns dann nach weiteren 15 Minuten bedienen..nachgeorderte Getränke kamen dann mit Entschuldigungen zügig..das bestellte Essen dauerte dann ....und kam nicht..nach weiteren 30 minuten deutet man an, dass due Bestellung in der Küche nicht angekommen ist...absolute Frechheit..auf Nachfrage, ob wir etwas falsch gemacht hötten, verneinte man das..unglaubwürdig...wir haben das ganze nicht verstanden, da wir recht tiefenentspannte Reisende sind...so ead haben wir sehr lange nicht erlebt...eigentlich gar nicht...unterirdisch..vielleicht Vorurteile gegen deutsche...was anderes fällt uns nicht ein..sehr enttäuschend und ungerecht..

Became a football champion and had dinner here with the team. What a great place! Was a delicious dinner in a beautiful ambiance with good service! As icing on the cake, we were also allowed to play on Roxy Dekker's newly tuned grand piano 'Sugardaddy'. An evening you will never forget!

The food was 'okay', not very special. Could be better if you look at the prices on the menu. We sent 1 dish back because it was curdled (see photo). The chef then sent the service back to our table with the message that this is how it should be (???). The girl at the counter resolved it very nicely with us and took it off the bill. Service very friendly and made our evening!

We ate very well, definitely above the Amsterdam average. We tried both the steak and the sea bass on two different evenings, both dishes for two people. For the children we had tartare and burrata, which were also very good. Appropriate wines, excellent service.
