We went here for an aperitivo first, and we were happy with what we got so we decided to come back for dinner…. Our côte de beuf looked really good but was very hard, very not pleasant to eat. We were sooo disappointed … I really wanted to like this place since it’s in my neighbourhood but i won’t come back here for dinner. I’ll stick to an aperitivo

We came to see the windmill with the intention of finding a restaurant nearby. Tête was chosen as the place to eat, and the food exceeded expectations. I had a chicken burger myself, but it was the tastiest chicken burger I have ever eaten. Overall, the place left a good impression.

Place seems good with good food varieties and nice location but there was only ONE WAITRESS for the whole place , so we left because if the delay service but the guy was kind and trying to handle but was above his power

I found the service truly outstanding. The fries were a bit too salty, but the eggs benedict were delicious.

Came here for brunch with friends and it was an ok experience. The food and service was average but with a great view. The place has both inside and outside seating and both provide you a really nice and peaceful view of the canal and windmill. The service was average, but they did forget 1 coffee that we ordered towards the end and it was quite difficult to flag a waiter since it did get quite busy. The food was ok, nothing amazing but reasonably priced. I tried the Burrata as a starter and it was an interesting taste. The watermelon and strawberry are the sauce/cooley that is on top of the burrata which was really unique. I do wish they had added olive oil because I felt like it was missing something. I got the Egg Benedict as a main and it was good but I did find the hollandaise on the sour side. The eggs were cooked perfectly and it went well with the ham but it was just a bit too sour for my taste. My friends got the Farmer's Toastie and Egg Norwegian and both enjoyed it. 07.2026

I can't point out anything that was particularly bad in taste, but the portions are very small, like the steak tartare, which comes with a piece of brioche measuring 2x4cm, etc.

Dining with the windmill in front, the romantic sunset, and the water surrounding this charming restaurant will be an unforgettable experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is tasty, and the fries are special, as are the olives and cheeses. Everything is truly excellent.

We’ve been dinning here since we moved to the neighborhood and every meal is wonderful. The view also can’t be beat, we often bring guests from out of town. Highly recommend the brioche iberico and the dry aged côte de boeuf.

A beautiful location, lovely inside with all the windows, though unfortunately a bit noisy. Incredibly nice and very helpful service. The gnocchi I ordered didn't seem fully cooked and was still a bit doughy, but the taste was delicious! The wait staff and the chef were kind enough to remove the dish from the bill. Otherwise, the food was delicious! :)

A wonderful place for both breakfast and dinner. In the evening, the terrace offers a stunning view of the sunset over the canal. The menu is concise yet diverse, with something to suit every taste. The staff’s hospitality is well above the standard you typically find in Amsterdam.

It's a very nice place to sit, the dishes are just a little different from the norm, and I found the service friendly and very sharp.

Beautiful, large glass terrace to protect against the wind. Open, bright restaurant. Food absolutely good, but very pricey for the portions. Bisque on the salty side, veal entrecote overcooked and a bit thin. A tiny amount of vegetables, and anything else you want on the side has to be ordered separately. House red wine, flat and unimaginative. Really one of those restaurants where you expect a lot, but ultimately don't return after just one visit.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Prices were also reasonable for Amsterdam. My only criticism is that the evening menu felt very limited and a little confusing, with a mix of dishes that didn't seem to follow a particular theme. For example, I had a Japanese-style salmon starter followed by pesto gnocchi, and the menu ranged from Asian-inspired dishes to grilled sea bass. The food itself was excellent, but the overall concept of the menu felt a bit unusual.

We had some of the best service in Amsterdam at Tête. The food and cocktails are delicious and fairly priced, they are dog friendly and the wait staff really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The gorgeous terrace over the canal with a windmill in the background is a bonus and feels picturesque! I live locally so will definitely be returning and recommending tête to my neighbours and friends ❤️

This is a lovely location location away from the awful experience that was central Amsterdam. This is a fine dining experience rather than a hearty meal after a long day of travelling. The food was nice but the portions are tiny. The side dishes are larger than the main meals. The service was so slow, staff are unhurried. We finished our meal and asked for the bill as the plates were being cleared. Waited. Went to the bar, asked for the bill. Waited. Stood up next to the table. Waited. Put our coats on. Waited. Stood next to the door. Waited. Finally got the bill and paid.

Service friendly and helpful, but very intrusive, if only because of the loud voices. Drinks okay, nice side dishes. Food: very disappointing: little for a lot and quite tasteless and basic. You don't expect that, so the name is misleading in the sense that you are going to have a really good dinner. A shame, because the location is great! Lunch: doable, but from now on we only come for drinks.

This place is an absolute gem, especially because the service is exceptionally attentive, kind, fast, and way nicer than the Dutch average, they were incredibly flexible with all our requests! The atmosphere is wonderful, and we loved being able to choose any available table; the one by the river window is highly recommended as it offers great entertainment watching the boats pass by. As for the food, the portions are a bit short but completely in line with the reasonable prices, and the flavors across the starters, mains, and desserts were excellent, with the paksoi and the burrata salad being the absolute standouts.

We ordered the steak, but the quality of the meat did not match the price. The portions were also quite small. In addition, I ordered the roasted vegetables, which were supposed to be served on whipped feta, but they arrived on a mayonnaise-based sauce instead. To their credit, they removed that dish from the bill after we pointed it out.

We stopped here for a break on the oyster walk. Very beautiful spot by the water! The cocktails we ordered were on the table in less than 5 minutes. They were very sweet too, tasted like pre-mixed. Prices are high, but that is to be expected at a place like this.

Ordered the cote de boef and the entrecôte and both were a 3/10 at most

This restaurant adds nothing to the community. We tried it after their “rebranding,” and it still holds a prime location for no good reason. The food is terrible, truly terrible. Their short-term, profit-driven mindset won’t last. Looking forward to new owners! For the locals: blijf hier nog maar weg.

Dropped by for lunch two weeks ago. Had an incredibly delightful time sitting in the sunshine, with a delicious lunch that was perfectly seasoned and prepared. Service with a freedom and exuberance that is infectious. Combined with a full-flavored glass of IJwit, the first time in ages, and the right cocktails and wines. A wonderful experience for a Saturday afternoon back at the old nest!

We had such a lovely dinner and Mayte was delightful. We did the 4 course tasting menu and were surprised with every bite! The blend of flavors of fusion and French were incredible. Great service, great prices, highly recommend.

The restaurant has a great location and fantastic service. It's very cozy and has a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The meat was unfortunately a little dry, but the ravioli were absolutely superb. A particularly nice touch was that we were allowed to choose four chocolates at the end – they not only looked amazing but tasted fantastic too. Overall, a very enjoyable visit!

We were looking for an amazing meal and stumbled upon this place — we absolutely loved it! The restaurant requires a reservation. We started with some bites; the brioche was great, especially the truffle one. The KOP fried chicken was okay, but the prawn taco was a winner. From the main menu, the salmon and beef tataki were out of this world, while the seabass and brisket were very good. Definitely a must-try spot!

Nobody deserves to wait an hour for "food". we reached 3.30 and were given a lunch menu and then no service for 30 min. And we literally flag down someone and are told oh you can't get food kitchen a closed. Great! We should have left, but we ordered some snacks. Fries and bread - should not take 40 min and this is when we have a child with us. I really hoped it was a better experience as the place and locations seems super nice, specially on a sunny day and food was good.

Another excellent Christmas dinner! After enjoying a truly excellent Christmas dinner at De Kop van Oost last year, the choice was easy this year. Just like last year, we opted for the 5-course dinner. The combination of the refined food, the attentive service, the modern and spacious decor, and the beautiful view over the water (even though it was dark) completed the experience. Each course was carefully prepared with surprising flavor combinations and perfectly balanced. ​A definite recommendation for anyone seeking culinary excellence in an atmospheric setting. ​

Ten months ago I came with a work group and we had such a delightful experience. I decided to come back this summer... what an error ! The restaurant was almost empty but service wasn't efficient at all. Dishes hadn't littlest taste and portions were very tiny. Salt must have fallen into fries, disgusting. Definitely an address to forget, too bad.

Top birthday dinner. A bit chaotic at times, but that has its charm. Especially when it is all solved with a smile.

We've come here a few times, for either work event dinners or friend meet up, but this past weekend we went for a date night, and we were so impressed by how flavorful the slow roasted chicken and gochujang cauliflower was. So much so we debated coming back the next day! May they never take the chicken nor the cauliflower off their menu, see you again very soon!

We found ourselves here by chance, won over by the location. The interiors are neat and modern with an industrial style. Excellent Moscow Mule, less good the Negroni. Spectacular hamburgers and fries. Excellent service and fair prices.

Very tasty food here, but the portions were very small. In our opinion, not really suitable for big eaters, unless you don't mind paying a lot of money. We were really shocked by the 'shared dining' dish of cauliflower. We thought €28 was really absurd. All this is apart from the fact that it is really tasty, but just extremely overpriced.

on the most beautiful Saturday in terms of weather so far, we sat on the terrace of the Kop van Oost. The chef immediately agreed to our request to make a mix of the Caesar salad and the Romaine salad and it turned out great!! the fries were nice and crispy and stayed that way! incredibly attentive and nice service: it was a big party with the most beautiful view in the city as a bonus!

Another relief to eat here. Besides the fact that the dishes are surprising and taste delicious, the service is also very friendly and helpful with explanations about the dishes. Kop van Oost could also have been called the Pearl of East. Highly recommended.

Haven't had such a good meal in a long time. Friendly service and an overall very good experience. The BBQ menu was really great!

I don't know what was going on today, but unfortunately the service was very poor. We got our three drinks ordered with difficulty after sitting for 10 minutes, then it took another 15 minutes for them to be on the table. Snacks were not available at first, but suddenly they were later? It was all very sloppy and slow, even though it wasn't even that busy. Tasty arrancini but not worth it due to the service and price. Hopefully they improve the service otherwise we won't be back anytime soon.

We rented part of the restaurant with a large group and it was great! The communication before the dinner was good, the service on the evening itself was great and the food was very tasty! The whole group had a great time! Definitely recommended for large (and small) groups :)

Always nice at KvO! The young lady serving was great! Sweet, competent, knows what she's doing. The new steak tartare matched that of the previous chef! Delicious!
