Worst service ever! The waiters are inexperienced (they look underage), forgot the order twice, forgot cutlery/ napkins and didn’t even apologise. The people behind the bar are quite rude and the food is just average.

Always go there to celebrate anniversaries. We are a loud bunch🤣 but we are always welcomed gladly. The service is top notch. Food on point the salad dressing is a must! delicious and also foods for the vegetarians 💪🏾

Nicely decorated restaurant, friendly service. Food quality varies; enchiladas are good, chicken fajitas are mediocre. Side dishes like rice, beans, and salsa are nonexistent, except for a salad with the enchiladas. You have to order anything else separately. Overall, it's quite pricey.

Came here yesterday for the first time and ordered the chicken fajitas and the beef burrito. Both were okay, but in my opinion lacked flavour and quality. The price point is very expensive for the standard of the food. My fajitas were €24.50 for 3 small tortillas and chicken. The burrito was €25. Service was friendly and fast but I don’t think I’ll be back.

Wow,that was exceptionally rude waiter. Been living in Amsterdam 12 years and this was in top 5 worst service I received. The menu said quesadillas so we asked how much is the portion and the waiter got very agitated and said: What do you want? That I tell you in grams?...while we just wanted to know if it was 1,2 or 3 pieces of quesadilla. When we said that he's been rude, he said we'll then you can leave, which we then did, he literally smiled as we walked away. Very weird behaviour. He had dark hair and broken tooth/teeth.

Food was really good and tasty! The people who worked there were really kind. We even got a free tequila shot and extra food. ❤️

One of the better authentic Mexican restaurants in the Netherlands! There aren't that many over here so I really appreciate this place.

This place used to be great, but clearly many things have changed. The food is extremely cheap in taste (but expensive in the bill!), expect burnt nachos and no flavour. In the photos you can see what they serve as “pico de gallo” (supposed to be tomatoes and onions as main ingredients, literally just onions here), and my fajitas, which tasted like they were drenched in bbq sauce VS the Mexican spices you would expect. I’ve had better food in gas station bars. Staff could not care less.

We also came here regularly 3 years ago but not anymore due to moving. Now we were in Amsterdam and thought we would have a nice meal at Caramba. Unfortunately a big disappointment Staff speaks very poor Dutch. We ordered 2 starters only got 1. Immediately asked where the 2nd was he had not given it took 10 minutes. We did not find that a problem second course came after 10 minutes. We had not finished it yet or the main course was there with which we ordered fries twice. Unfortunately we got baked potato while we ordered fries. Bizarre that staff speaks so poor Dutch or English. We recommend eating somewhere else

I'm from the US, and this is the best Mexican food I've had. Seriously good.

It's Saturday night and one of the few restaurants with availability... let's have some nice Mexican food. I honestly wonder if this restaurant wants to be a restaurant. Top place, it looked cozy despite some overdue maintenance and it was clean. I was the first to enter, they almost shocked me that I had made a reservation. A Margarita should get things going. You get a meager mini long drink glass for €11.- glass is old. Drink muah. The dishes were loveless, no herbs, there were supposed to be vegetables with it but only chicken on a tray with 4 shrimps (the dish was chicken-shrimp-vegetable-tortillas) for €26.- with trays of sour cream, salsa and guacamole (for an additional charge) One dip and it's gone. Very meager. The service was not bad, one had more passion than the other. I could appreciate the young man with the earring as well as the Spanish-speaking young man. My company and I like to eat and are all catering tigers but this was not possible for more than €70.- PP then you can expect more. I gave a tip myself I can't bring myself not to do that, despite my company not wanting to give a tip. (I had paid the bill for everyone) No Mexican passion and certainly no Mexican food. Spice up the place! And throw the atmosphere back in I would say.

Disappointing experience! Food is very mediocre and lacks proper flavor. Some staff are very friendly and some are ancient and not interested at all. The restaurant lacks proper glasses for the drinks they serve. All in all a place to avoid. We could have known, knowing it was one of the only restaurants that had plenty of availability last minute for a Saturday evening.

Absolutely loved the food here and the server was such a polite and welcoming gentleman. Very reasonable pricing! Food is delicious, highly recommend the chicken tacos and burrito. We will definitely be back when visiting Amsterdam next time! Thank you - this spot is a must only a 22min walk from Amsterdam Central.

Getting to sit at a table outside is a nice experience... it's in a very nice neighborhood of Amsterdam, highly recommended, their service is very good... their food is delicious, don't forget to visit Caramba

We had a reservation for two and we’re seated in a huge table for 6, after 25 min no one took our orders, when I signaled to the waiter that we were ready to order, insted of coming up to us he started screaming with the other younger waiter that was talking to another table and left. We were so in shock, waited a few minutes and just left without ordering anything, and the waiter that yelled was just chilling by the bar instead of taking order, most weird and unhinged experience I ever had

Very very good Mexican restaurant, with reasonable prices and great service. The dishes are very generous. The atmosphere is also very cool. I recommend. (Remember to ask if it stings!)

Listen, we’ve searched high and low for delicious tacos!! This is the only place in the whole of Amsterdam where you will pay €10 for 3 tacos!! We don’t eat tacos anywhere else! Tacos,Nachos and Quesadillas are top notch!! You know that feeling when you’ve been away from home and you take that first bite into your favorite dish your mom makes. This place does that! Well priced drink on top of that, that tastes good!! This place is top rated. At least according to me!

Friendly service, good quesadillas, and good tacos. They do have 2 mezcals selections. Be aware the menu online is not the same that’s in person. The menu is attached for your review. By the way you can’t split the check if you come in a group.

Completely lovely experience. Went with our 1 year old and he was treated so warmly - staff even brought out balloons and bubbles! Friendly atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. Quesedillas and beef tacos were amazing! Highly recommend

What a great tent! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is nice. The staff is also incredibly friendly. Something went wrong with one of our drinks and we got a free dessert and free shots. We will be back soon!

Amsterdam was missing a nice Mexican restaurant, even though everyone knows that for real Mexican food you need to go there and walk the streets the food was very good and tasty, the staff was awesomely friendly and polite, prices are in my opinion affordable and please you need to try the “Cordero Romero” sooo good..!! And please ask for extra chimichurri… it’s awesome and you would want to put it everywhere!! The Margaritas were on point,… Perhaps they could work more in the atmosphere factor (Mexican music, themes etc) but overall we had a great time , thank you guys for the attention and effort, we will definitely come back .

The food here is really good, genuinely amazing. Very friendly staff and a lot of places to sit. The atmosphere is lovely and it is all just really beautiful (especially the food) Def recommend!!

The tacos are simply amazing. Rarely eaten such good ones. Slightly sharp and well composed. If I came to Amsterdam again, we would definitely come by again...

The tacos and quesidillas were delicious!! We liked the burrito much less because of the raisins, you have to love them. For the rest of the service, a big 10 was definitely worth repeating!!

Food was good but they charged us 8.50€ for a small portion of nachos we never asked for. At the beginning they give u nachos with red sauce but we thought it was free because we didnt order it. Then i see on the bill we get charged 8.50. Sorry but i can buy 8 bags of nachos with that price its ridiculous it was a small plate of nachos with salsa and u want to charge 8.50? When no one even asked for it. the tacos were good but they will never see me again! Avoid this place!!!!

Tacos have changed my life. Don’t know if they are authentic, but I don’t care. They are delicious. Be prepared: Eating here is expensive but worth of every penny.

Honestly one of the best meals i’ve had. My boyfriend and I ordered a second portion of the beef tacos they were so good. So sad we only found this place on our last night because we would’ve went back every day.

Nice atmosphere to sit outside in the summer. The food is okay and typical Mexican food in Amsterdam. They use a lot of cheese on the dishes so they end up very heavy and there is not much to the flavor. We had the chorizo sausage to start which was fine but the sauce is not a chimchiri - it is made with yellow peppers and very oily. As a main we had the burrito and the chilaquiles. Both had a lot of cheese and were very heavy. Overall fine but not great

Every time I pass by Caramba, I plan to eat there. I finally made a reservation for us. It did not disappoint at all. My sister-in-law and I had the lamb chops, and my husband had the sea bass. It was delicious, and we really enjoyed it. Afterward, a chocolate slice with whipped cream, and my hubby had ice cream with tequila and whipped cream and sis in law had coffee with Liqor 43. A cozy restaurant, very colorfully decorated (in a Mexican style) with tasty dishes. The staff is nice and polite. Will definitely return.

Best tacos ever! Travel a lot and these tacos blew me away so simple but soooo flavorful wow. Glad I came in. My only regret is not finding it sooner

Food was not good. Spoonfuls of oil and grease at the bottom of my dish and very little flavor. Type of dish I’d be happy for if I paid €5, not €25.

Food was excellent, waitress was terrible and not friendly. She wasn’t welcoming and needs training in being front of house. However the food was really tasty and the chef knows how to cook. Just a shame the service wasn’t on the same level as the food.

We had a delicious meal. Sea bass on grill is so well seasoned and grilled just right. The tacos, enchiladas, nachos with homemade salsa sauce are tasty. Great service, nice employees, beautiful place with a cozy atmosphere. Cocktail is also very tasty. We will visit you again soon!

Place is okay, great location in the sun for drinks with friends, but price/quality ratio is really off. Guacamole is not fresh and is more like avocado paste, definitely not worth 8.50€. The meat and toppings on the tacos were really great, but the tortillas were stale, which at 18€ is also very steep. With some adjustments this could be a really great place, as the staff is kind and service is quick!

The food and drinks were tasty, but I thought the music was quite loud and it was quite noisy due to dogs that were constantly barking. After a while the dogs were gone and the music was turned down again, then the atmosphere started to become a bit more pleasant. :)

I found this Restaurant thanks to a video on TikTok. It’s an amazing Mexican restaurant with halal meat!! Incredible. The meat is super tasty, we loved the food. The tacos with beef were incredible and the quesadillas with chicken are also amazing. I would recommend the restaurant 100% the quality is incredible and for the first time I found a halal mexican. The waiter was super helpful recommending the top dishes from the restaurant, he also spoke Spanish and was super nice to us. Again, the food incredible!!! The restaurant also looks super nice, 100% mexican vibes.

The worst coctails I had in my life. They were pre-made and undrinkable. Nothing else to say.. worst place you could go to for a drink. The staff was extremely rude and mean.

The Strawberry Margaritas were the worst, premade and not well done. Would not recommend!

Overall jsut not great, cocktails were not nice at all and have made better at home, my pina colada had half an orange wedge in it, not sure what was going on there, give a girl the pineapple. Had the tacos which were ok but nothing special. Should have gone to Italian. Guy serving was nice. Sangria was not good time.

A friend had invited us to eat here first. We liked the food and the place so much that we recently visited again and will do so in the near future. The food is honest and delicious. I highly recommend you to try the fish soup with avocado as a starter. It can be addictive. The atmosphere is also quite casual and friendly. It gives you the feeling of a family run restaurant.

Maandelijks komen we hier al jaren heerlijk genieten van taco’s op zaterdag of ander heerlijk Mexicaans eten en cocktails in de avond. De bediening is professioneel en klantvriendelijk, de sfeer is gezellig. Wat zeker ook opvalt is de constante kwaliteit van het eten. Dat is zeker een groot compliment waard. Worst burrito I ever had and I've had good ones here before. Premade and defrosted likely. Rubbery chewy chicken and wet underneath. Steak was great though and so were the caipirinhas.

Firstly the tacos were amazing! Definitely worth a visit. Just be careful if you sit outside, if you're close to the grill, it can blow some steam into your face on a windy day and that's not so nice.

Pretty mediocre. Had the nachos, and for 11 euro doesn't come with sour cream, guac, or any kind of salsa. Soggy, and a small plate. I said something about it, kindly, and got talked back to (they claim these things "don't belong on nachos"). Margaritas are 10 euro for a small soda glass. Either be expensive, or be low quality. Don't be both.
