I was there during the Imagine Film Festival so it was very busy, the food was good.

Very nice place with delicious drinks and an outstanding margarita pizza. The service is excellent. The only thing missing is the option to sit outside.

I wish they always had the vinegar chips and the cider on tap available 😭

Not many cinemas have a place to eat before/after the movie, so not only is this the best cinema in Amsterdam, the PORTRAIT OF A PIZZA ON FIRE is super tasty!

Great selection of beers, cocktails and more. Perfect to get a drink before the film and to stay for hours afterwards.

Good place for a bite before you go to the movies. Can be a bit loud when filled up completely and the pizza offering can be subscribed as interesting - unusual combinations, not your usual menu

The pizza took more than an hour and me asking multiple times where is it. And it was mediocre. Do not recommend. Just go watch your movie don’t bother going there for food.

Very nice location for something to eat or drink. If you like movies/nostalgia, especially go here. The oyster mushroom bitterballen were delicious.

Good bar for cocktails and music

Good place with nice people. They have unique snack options! Would recommend the pumpkin brulee! They make good cocktails off the menu ;) They have a good selection of local seasonal beer on tap. Loved the cheese pairings with the beer, too! Sometimes, depending on the events, the queue at the bar can get long. Overall, it was a good experience! Including the ambience with quirky movie art covering the walls!

I'm sure the place is usually nice, but the day we went was far too crowded because of film festival going on and was chaotic. Nevertheless drinks and food were nice. Only we didn't taste truffle mascarpone on our BELA TARTUFO but pizza itself were tasty.

Really cute bar/cafe attached to the theatre. We loved the ambience -- one panel cartoons framed on the walls, and a modern but unpretentious decor design language. Puns and movie references abound in the names of the dishes and drinks. We each ordered a pizza and a drink. The pizza was tasty and came with extra olive oil for mopping up with crust. However, we both agreed that there should be a bit more than one basil leaf on a pizza if you want to claim it's a basil pizza. That said, it was delicious!

Really liked the place, only went for drinks, so can’t judge the food. The building is pretty cool, only nice people inside and a great vibe!

Great bar, cosy place to have dinner, or a drink before going to the movies! Great people working there too, shout out to the blond guy with the moustache and cap who always goes the extra mile!

Friendly and speedy service, nice pizza, very good prices, all in a stylish laid-back cafe attached to the excellent Lab 111 cinema. A really cute spot.

I visit Bar Strangelove quite often because I love their pizzas. Food: Delicious pizzas always! Kudos to the chefs. Service: It really depends on who is serving that day. You place the order at the bar- which is really smart because the ones who are serving are usually quite slow in responding if you have a question or want them to clean the table. They would simply ignore you. I thought that was the worst part about their service. But I was wrong. Yesterday, the guy at the bar was extremely ill-mannered while taking the order, didn’t get the order right, and reacted rudely when we asked for some cutlery. I would understand if it was too busy which would cause a general frustration; but yesterday it wasn’t even too busy. Spoiled our Easter Sunday :( Once you order, the pizzas don’t take long to arrive- good speed in the kitchen which is keeping the place going really. Atmosphere: It has a nice, casual vibe but it is quite dirty- probably because the servers don’t care to clean it up. I continue to return for the food, with the hope that the friendly and active staff will be serving that day.

Super cute bar, they also serve food. It gets a bit overcrowded and you may ebd up having to stand quitr a bit till a place is free, but it's nice and the vibe is great!

We went on Wednesday for the pizza + Cineville deal and it was quite crowded and with a nice vibe, pizza was quite good, perfect for a date before watching a nice movie

It is a good bar. I always plan to get there a bit earlier when going to the cinema. The pizza is ok. They have interesting flavours but it's not consistent. Sometimes it's too flobby, sometimes too dry/burnt, sometimes both at the same time. Fried snacks are fine. They have a good variety of drinks. Last time I tried a non-alcoholic version and it was also super nice 🙂 I'll keep coming back and trying more items from the menu ☺️

Good selection of beers. The pizza is mid quality. DON'T order princess mononori, it's an abomination, I thought it sounds interesting and it was just wrong on so many levels (mayo on pizza??). Nice atmosphere tho, good enough to wait before the movie

Amazing place to visit. Good pizza, good environment and a chance to enjoy a good movie. We also ran into a random arcade game downstairs that is hidden in a corner and you can play for free.

Love the food, the vibe and the bar. Servers are super nice too. Drink selection, and own sour lager collab with Oedipus is delicious! Recently went again this time for the pizza, was soo good, the crust delicious as well! As an Italian, totally recomend. Good vegan pizza and vegan cheese optio if you are interested! In this picture we had the vegan and the pear, mozzarella, gorgonzola pizzas!

We had made reservations but sat down ourselves (it didnt seem like a restaurant where you had to wait to be seated). We then got ignored by all servers for about 30 minutes before we asked them if we could order. They did not check in on us at all throughout our stay; we always had to call for them and they took forever for everything. This resulted in us coming too late for our film, even though we came to the restaurant 1 1/2 hours before it started. My boyfriend had a chicken-dish, which was 'fine' but my pasta was an extremely tiny portion and not worth the money. The fries were great though (and worth their price)! At the end the server gave us the wrong receipt. All these things alone would not be a big deal, but overall it just gave us the impression that we as guests were unwanted and we will not be coming back

Pedimos comida y nunca nos han servido. Básicamente, aquí si quieres algo, tienes que esperar y perseguir a los camareros para obtener algo. Y cuando no saben para quién es la comida, simplemente se la dan a cualquier mesa. Finalmente conseguimos unas papas fritas (y no el resto de la comida) que estaban esperando en el bar y el camarero tuvo las agallas para decirnos "deberías haber venido a recogerlas". El servicio es muy mediocre. Los camareros son totalmente desorganizados y no muy agradables. Es una pena porque el lugar se ve muy bonito. Estuvimos muy decepcionados

You can order, go watch irishman and your order probably still won’t be ready. But they have very good kombucha.

Combine your movie night with dinner and delicious craft beer! The selection is not big but there's options for everyone and it's all very tasty.

Me uní a un grupo que ya estaba allí en una mesa un jueves por la noche. Estuve en la mesa durante 25-30 minutos y nunca pude hacer un pedido de bebidas. Todos en la mesa tenían vasos vacíos. Cuando le dijimos a nuestra camarera que nos gustaría tomar más bebidas, a ella no le hizo gracia y se alejó. Nos fuimos.

The theater is small, but cozy. They always have themed showings. Strangelove is also nice to have a drink afterwards /or before

One of the Few of the democratic places in Amsterdam with tasty vegetarian options (try vegan burger - one of the best around) and if to couple it with indie or classic movie and a lot if good beers then it would be a perfect combination for an evening

Love this place... Good selection of drinks, never busy & great atmosphere. Ideal for a meeting, date or catch up with friends... The cinema deal is also handy if you want to watch an interesting movie, which is always changing but always great films, whether international, art or new movies. One thing for sure, it's always an interesting one!

Erg goed en wat een aardige mensen!

Prachtig oud laboratorium dat een nieuwe bestemming gekregen heeft, filmhuis met restaurant. Restaurant heeft een jaren 70 uitstraling, met prettig licht van buiten. Ga je naar de film? Koop dan een kaartje met diner voor ca €22! Dat geeft je €16 bestedingsruimte van de a la carte kaart om te eten. Alles wat ke meer besteedt, betaal je gewoon bij. Je kiest van te voren of je voor of na de film eet. Wij kozen voor erna. Een lekkere G&T aan de bar besteld om mee te filmzaal in te nemen. Na de film genoten van verse vis. Geen culinaire hoogstandjes, gewoon aangenaam. Al met al een prettige avond gehad! Zou het zeker weer doen.

A nice hip spot to grab a drink and some snacks before a movie, but if you're looking for a dinner meal I would suggest elsewhere. They are small portions for what you pay.

15 minuten voordat iemand naar ons toe kwam om ons drankje op te nemen, terwijl er slechts 8 gasten waren. Nadat de drankjes gebracht werden (met op 1 glas een citroentje over de lippenstft heen geschoven), moest de ober nogmaals terug om de lunchkaarten te halen. Uiteindelijk heeft het 1:20 geduurd om de clubsanwiches geserveerd te krijgen, waardoor we deze naar binnen moesten proppen om op tijd te zijn voor onze film die we daar gingen kijken. Bij navraag aan de ober welke zaal we moesten zijn, wist deze dit ook niet te vertellen. Na de film zijn we daarom ook uitgeweken voor een hapje en een drankje naar Cafe de Toog om de hoek, wat overigens zeker een aanrader is! Al met al jammer dat zo'n leuke locatie door slechte bediening en keuken z'n charme gelijk kwijt is.

Heerlijk gegeten en de borden waren ook mooi opgemaakt. Zeker een aanrader als je hier gaat eten om daarna naar de film te gaan!

Bueno, el tipo de título lo resume. Si eres paciente, estarás bien. La comida estuvo grandiosa. No puedo contarte sobre los cócteles porque el mío nunca llegó y lo cancelé a mitad de camino a través de la cena.

Food is just awesome! The menu is small, because everything they do, they nail it! The ribs or the duck are delicious! And super nice and professional waiters and waitresses!
