Bar Valdi in Zuidas

Great place! We were there for a birthday; we had a dedicated waitress that made sure we wouldn’t miss on anything, the tables were in a corner close to the water so it felt very private from the rest of the venue, and the food was delicious. It was nice to be able to order pitchers of Mojito, it’s a good addition to the menu! Very handy to be able to pay the orders via the QR code while ordering, to avoid the mess of splitting the bill at the end.

Gran bar / restaurante con buena comida, precios razonables y un excelente servicio. Fuimos para un evento de negocios y tuvimos el menú 'Shakshuk' para 50 personas. El personal era muy servicial y amable en la carrera - hasta y en la noche. Lo recomendaría para una cena divertida e informal. Terraza también es encantador y cervezas locales son excelente relación calidad-precio.

Really nice bar with good food and a lovely terrace. We organised a work event for 50 people. Planning was flawless, all communications efficient and staff super helpful on the night. Also very reasonably priced. Would recommend.

What a cozy bar is Bar Valdi! We could choose between the dishes, so asked the waitress what her favorite dish is. Great choice! Delicious food. Nice staff, cozy atmosphere and good food. I will definitely come back.

Heerlijk gegeten, zoals altijd! Hummus met kip blijft favoriet samen met de Vega ShakShuk, de pita’s zijn goddelijk. Daarnaast is de bediening goed en wij komen er graag.

Had a great evening with my team! Had a great drink with tasty snacks. They offer nice local beers. And the service was super fast. Within a few minutes a nice cold beer in front of us! Super!

we love Bar Valdi!!! my best friend and i ALWAYS go and it’s hands down one of our favourite spots in amsterdam. the vibe is always just right, warm, relaxed, but fun. the food and drink selection is incredible (we highly recommend the spicy chicken, amba chicken sandwhich, mushroom risotto balls, feta salad and the fries, we crave the spicy chicken everyday). alsooo the homemade lemonade is perfectly fruity and sweet :) thank you Evie and Myrthe for being so friendly, smiley, and genuinely lovely the service always make the experience even better. the music is also such a nice touch; it really adds to the whole atmosphere. you have to go!!

I sat on the terrace with some friends. Very friendly staff, fast service and for a bit later in the evening a warm terrace.

Top location and nice bar. Service is terrible. Rude staff - it is an honor that we are allowed to have drinks here. We come with groups from work and I think we are not stingy. Then I am addressed that I give too little tip for such a large group. It is not my money so I am not going to throw it around. You have to give at least €100 otherwise it is really antisocial, it is paid by the company anyway. Well, you do not decide what other people do with their money. So we come here for the location. By the way, not all the staff is so nasty. There are also a lot of nice friendly ones. Like the blond barman with curly hair and a few girls.

A friend of mine and I felt we were treated racistly at the bar, so we left the place immediately. I would have expected a much more inclusive atmosphere from a café that is part of a student experience. So I will never come back here

Good quality food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere on the terrace (when we were there there was a DJ, you have to like that) dishes were well seasoned - definitely worth repeating :)

Visited in April 2025. I arrived in the Netherlands and headed straight here. We had about 3 beers and 2 meals. All the draft beers were delicious. The food was delicious, with a slightly strong flavor. Perhaps because there were a lot of locals, we had to wait a long time before ordering.

Sehr lecker und tolle Location. Allerdings war die Wartezeit auf das Essen recht lang, dafür war es geschmacklich umso besser .

I don't know if you've ever been to Bar Valdi but it's very nice you should go some time they have beer and wine and Sam and toilets and it's basically a cafe too with Coffee and Bagels but basically a bar too it's very nice.

Very slow service. More of a pub or bar than a restaurant. Lebanese style food, but without anything middle eastern about the place . The most expensive hummus I've ever seen - 15 Euros for a saucer-size dish.

Este lugar estaba cerca del Novotel donde nos alojamos, a poca distancia del aeropuerto, así que nos encontramos con amigos locales aquí mientras esperábamos a que nuestra habitación estuviera disponible. Toda la comida que probamos era buena. No probamos nada demasiado picante, pero teníamos una gran variedad de meze, más de lo que podíamos comer. El servicio era bueno, y no había problema para obtener nuestros pedidos tomados o encontrar a alguien para obtener la factura cuando habíamos terminado. Lástima que era demasiado fresco y lluvioso para probar los asientos al aire libre, parecía muy acogedor.

I had a great meal here. The shakshuka was new to me (basic is tomato topped with eggs and in my case grilled meat and peppers) and it tasted very good. The menu is Arabic, quite simple in design. Inside it is very cold and bare: I was happy that I could sit outside at a table somewhere. It seems to me something for young people, students and office people, often groups. Not for a nice dinner or to eat alone.

We stopped here on Monday around 1300 and it wasn't too busy. The service was good and the food was even better. The restaurant was cute inside for people who are looking for places to post on Instagram :). Must try if you are near!

The bread with meat and fries was pretty damn good and the beef stew with tomato was decent; the tomato taste mixed with something else was very strong though. Service was friendly but the place is very hectic with dozens of people standing at tables talking while others are having dinner at other tables.

I booked a table for 9 on Wednesday evening. We often come to this bar because it's 5 minutes from our office... good beers and snacks too! But every time the waiter/cashier cheats us. Even this time, I ended up paying for 2 extra large beers because he claimed that two guys hadn't paid. Never again! No respect and professionalism

Food was alright, everything with Halloumi was great, but chicken was average, didn't like the sauce on the chicken flatbread. Good portions, most things are nice for sharing, really enjoyed the shakshukas! Service was good too, very attentive and helpful, the only reason to not go again (at least not in the evening of a workday) – it was sooo noisy X_X Not a conversation place for sure. There was a lot of people, but also the background music was almost blasting, we had to also raise our voices to hear each other which ofc didn't help. Lunch or a off-peak hours might be better.

Food is great. Both snack platter and all the mezzes are delicious. They make the best pink gin in the neighbourhood. Service and staff are always very good. Very nice place for a borrel after work.

Turned away at first by a surly and unhelpful member of staff, because we were a small group who hadn’t booked. It was 5pm. The place was almost empty. Nothing would convince her to let us in. I even pointed out that the online booking system hadn’t worked when I’d tried earlier in the day. To which I was told with a shrug that I should have emailed or called. Okeeeey. In fact we just came back 5 minutes later and found a cute table that was plenty big enough for my colleagues and me. And once in the beer selection was good and they had nice snacks. And the service was good. But why try so so hard to turn potential customers away - with the money they are willing to spend? Makes no sense. And just leaves me feeling meh about coming back again…

I regularly visit Bar Valdi and the staff quickly knows who you are. This ensures that you are treated well and they know what you want to drink. Besides the service, they also serve food that easily exceeds the standards of a bar! Super nice place!

Was here on a Friday early evening, not too much people there (maybe the fun starts later?). We had a few beers (they have some nice Brouwerij 't IJ beers) but the service was a bit so so and not all orders came through correctly.

This location needed something nice and relaxed and Bar Valid was the answer. It works. Despite the dreadful Dutch weather, the focus is outside on the terrace, but even inside it works well with nice staff, good beer selection and an extensive selection of bar snacks. Parking around the corner, free at night. Well recommended.

The place is nice, with a comfy terrace. The staff is really giving the vibe and they are efficient. I never felt like I was waiting too long for my orders to be taken or served. The place is in Zuidas, so if you are working nearby, don't hesitate to stop for an after work or a team lunch.

Leuke plek, zowel in de zomer als in de herfst heerlijk buiten zitten. Fantastische bediening, goede service, snel, vriendelijk met oprechte glimlach! De hapjes en wijnen (en de Spritz) zijn heerlijk. Een aanrader!
