Ive entered just to ask if my son can use toilet and it was immediately answered with smile - yes. I could not resist this kindness and we bought 4 drinks for my family. Great cafe with the kind staff.

Cozy spot to enjoy a quiet coffee, tea, or other drink before heading into town. Plenty of space, tasty pastries (cake or cookies), but also delicious lunch or breakfast. Service was quick and friendly.

Well... 4 Euro for a Cappuccino, but without latte-art. 5 Euro for coffee with some ice. And, last but not least, 0,85 cents for a glas of water. Not cold no, lukewarm water! Ok, clear signal of this shop with it's new owner.

We had such a lovely brunch here! We went for the shared brunch, which was really delicious and had a great mix of savory and sweet things, plus granola with coconut yoghurt. The coffee was also really good, and the lemonades were fantastic. The best part for our little boy was definitely the play area. It’s really well equipped for small kids and is hidden at the back of the café, so you don’t really see it from the street. The café actually goes quite far back, which we didn’t expect at first. It made such a difference to be able to sit and enjoy a long, relaxed brunch while our little one was happily playing. The staff were super friendly and the whole atmosphere was just really nice and relaxed. Definitely a great place for a long brunch, especially with kids. We’d happily come back!

To start on a positive note, the service was friendly and pleasant, and the spot on the terrace was nice, but the food was awful. Ready-made poached eggs from a packet from Sligro, and a Mexican wrap that was downright disgusting. Instead of beans, it was dripping with overly salty vegan 'cheese sauce,' and the wrap didn't taste fresh; it felt more like it had been frozen and quickly thawed. I am not a picky eater, but I struggled to finish half of it. The drink was fine, but I certainly wouldn't have lunch here again.

Sunny Saturday, delicious cappuccino, French toast, and speculoos brownie on the terrace. But the biggest compliment goes to the 2 young ladies on the terrace; they were so sweet, warm, and service-minded. Oh yes, fantastic, tasty French toast with a crispy bite! So compliments to the kitchen as well 😊

I had high tea with my 9-year-old daughter. It was her first time, and after a three-week holiday with her father, I wanted to celebrate her being back with me. I was looking for a restaurant that offers a separate high tea for children, so I ended up at Barista Bar in Haarlem. We made a reservation for one adult and one child. At the start, we were asked if there were any dislikes, but I assumed they would take taste preferences into account with the children's version, so I indicated that I liked everything and would leave out what she didn't like. We received a huge amount, and for me, it was very tasty, but for my daughter, the only difference was that there was a toasted sandwich instead of a burrito; otherwise, everything was the same. She didn't like any of the savory items and therefore couldn't really enjoy them (and neither could I as a mother, because the result was that I was eating a lot from her plate out of politeness, and we could barely finish any sweets because we were full). On top of that, we were never asked once in between courses if everything was to our liking, even though we were sitting right near the cash register and the wait staff's walkway. (This was also disappointing because I had asked for a quiet spot, but that's beside the point). I had to go to the bar myself to pay, because I couldn't make eye contact with a staff member this time either. It was nice, however, that I could take the sweet treats home in a box upon request. The day after the high tea, I realized that I had paid for 2 adults and not for 1 adult and 1 child. So I spent 14.95 euros more than intended, which is why, except for one thing, there was no difference between the dishes for my daughter. It's a shame, because the place otherwise looks cozy and the food was tasty for me as an adult, but due to this experience, it is not worth repeating.

The staff was very friendly. They recommended a spot outside on the beautiful terrace in the middle of the city. I enjoyed the delicious apple pie; highly recommended.

The chicken inside the Club Sandwich was cold and the overall quality of the ingredients wasn’t very good. The apple pie, however, was really tasty. I’d say this place is more worth visiting for coffee and desserts.

The charcuterie board is highly recommended. Truly delicious. Several tasty spreads for pieces of bread. My favorite: Soft goat cheese with garlic sauce and cherry tomatoes. Salmon sandwiches are super tasty and prepared with care. And much more. Available from 14:30. Next time we'll go again around that time!

Unfortunately, not a pleasant experience. I ordered coffee, pastry, and a glass of water. I received cold, very strong coffee without a cookie, without water or the pastry. Afterwards, I had to ask about the water; it was eventually provided, but still without the cake. Not recommended!

Yes, for me, this is the barista in Haarlem. Good location, friendly service. It's a nice place to sit. Highly recommended; if you want to sit comfortably, just check the back to see if the armchairs are free. You will be served. If you want to pay, just walk to the counter and they will help you. You can also sit outside; definitely do so when the weather is nice.

The atmosphere has changed, and not for the better. What I noticed within an hour: * Less welcoming approach. * Tables not clean while the staff were standing around talking to each other about private matters (so not too busy, which is why this can sometimes happen). * A female employee who wiped a serving dish with her sweater/elbow? A paper towel was placed over it afterwards before food was put on it. * An old man who wanted to pay with cash and then said there wasn't much change. Fortunately, the young man serving the coffee stepped in and said there was plenty. * A female employee who couldn't calculate in her head how much 20 euros minus 1 cola was. + Getting used to the new terrace. + Positive: the young man serving coffee who actually kept working and didn't join in the chatting. + The coffee is still just as tasty. In summary: points for improvement that can be resolved quickly. So, goodbye.

When I am in Haarlem, I sometimes stop by here for a cup of coffee or lunch. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the staff is friendly and quick. It is a beautiful, large place with plenty of seating inside as well as outside or on the terrace! The prices are a bit on the high side... But there is no getting around that anymore.

We thoroughly enjoyed a high tea for three. The food was varied and truly delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was calm and bright. We had plenty of space and were comfortable at the back of the café. This is a place to remember!

This cafe is a true hidden gem in Harleem town, it’s has a truly great vibe and very welcoming atmosphere. The Berry Yogurt bowl is totally delicious and filling, I had it several times during my visit. Home made cakes are beyond temping and great selection of coffees. We had to wait a long time before being helped, even though the place wasn't full. Then I got the wrong drink. It happens, but you expect it to be resolved quickly. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I had to wait over 20 minutes for the right drink (coffee, nothing special). The coffee didn't taste good... the milk seemed burnt. And then I had to wait in line again to pay. All in all, not a good experience.

The interior feels bright, clean, and well-maintained again. The wooden floor is finally coming into its own, and the space looks fresh and inviting. The new pink wall with its elegant moldings has become a real eye-catcher and gives the café a warm, contemporary feel. What's particularly striking is the attention to detail. Everything has been thoroughly renovated, and you immediately feel it as a guest: it's clean, atmospheric, and meticulously maintained. The love and dedication that went into this relaunch is evident in the entire experience. I had a cappuccino with beautiful latte art, exactly how you'd hope, and enjoyed a delicious cinnamon scone that was perfectly moist and full of flavor. Simply high-quality coffee and fresh pastries, just the way they should be. The café has also gained much more visibility online. The fun and spontaneous videos on social media offer a behind-the-scenes look and create a personal, contemporary feel. In short: Barista Café Haarlem feels like a new life. From now on, it's a regular, weekly stop for me. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good coffee, a warm atmosphere, and a place where they clearly work with passion.

New owner, and that's no improvement. I overheard her conversation with a customer. I was surprised by her tone and lack of empathy. A friend with a milk allergy was given regular milk, which was handled very casually. Furthermore, the atmosphere has deteriorated considerably after the minor renovations.

Since the new owner arrived, the restaurant has undergone a major renovation. Everything not only looks very inviting but also noticeably cleaner and better maintained. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the management is clearly strong, ensuring high-quality food and coffee. The staff is helpful and attentive. The flat white was excellent, and the scrambled egg sandwich is highly recommended. I'll definitely be back!

The place was quite big but the drinks were disappointing. The golden smoothie had barely any flavor (barely felt the fruits) and for the pistache matcha, you cannot call it matcha. Service was not the best. Will not come back

The atmosphere was great and the coffee was delicious. But I didn't eat the food. The corner was covered in mouse droppings, and even on the table! I can understand how difficult it is to control mice in a city, but this was simply disgusting and unsanitary. Especially if you have mice, it needs to be kept clean, and in the hospitality industry, you shouldn't have traps in plain sight. Bad intentions, and I didn't eat the food either. I don't want to know about the hygiene in the kitchen when the restaurant's is already so filthy. Should I vacuum it?

Well... the pastries were mediocre (we had a tasting). Coffee was fine. Service could definitely be better. The coffee maker was attentive, but the waitresses weren't (the order was written down incorrectly and we had to ask twice if we could order something).

In Haarlem, I ate two club sandwiches on Sunday for €14.50, so you'd expect something decent for that. But NO, it was completely tasteless. It seemed like the staff were working reluctantly. People go out for lunch for the flavor and the good company. Where is the taste sensation?

A lovely cafe with a cozy outdoor area and a beautifully designed interior. The staff is very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. The pulled chicken wrap and the barista bowl were delicious and the portions were really generous for the price. Definitely a recommendation for tourists! We'll be back at the Barista Cafe on our next vacation.

We've been coming here for coffee for a while now. No negative comments at all, but the opening hours could be better. Especially now... the café closes at 3 PM... very strange... because it's the holiday season. A lot of people don't have holidays!

Not bad but not special either. With such a name as a barista café, my expectations were much higher. Service was very friendly.

Love this bar! The servers are polite and helpful. Kids friendly: there’s a kids corner with toys and the ambiance is just comfortable for families. The food is authentic and suitable for who is vegetarian. There’s no huge menu but I can tell is really good.

Barista café is a pleasure for the taste. Distinctive dishes and also very tasty. They change the menu regularly and everything is made with love. Also the portions are more than enough. Highly recommended in any branch actually. One downside, the serrano ham was a bit sparse, a little more would have been better.

After 5 minutes I had a delicious cup of coffee, but then had to wait literally an hour and fifteen minutes for half a club sandwich with 8 nacho slices. Really a shame.

I asked if this was correct and they said yes. In my opinion, a sandwich is made in a toaster and is crispy. Wasn't edible.
