Barista Cafe in Oude Stad

A lovely cafe with a cozy outdoor area and a beautifully designed interior. The staff is very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. The pulled chicken wrap and the barista bowl were delicious and the portions were really generous for the price. Definitely a recommendation for tourists! We'll be back at the Barista Cafe on our next vacation.

We had a delicious high tea. It was well-maintained and the staff were very friendly. The food was plentiful, but we were given takeaway containers.

We've been coming here for coffee for a while now. No negative comments at all, but the opening hours could be better. Especially now... the café closes at 3 PM... very strange... because it's the holiday season. A lot of people don't have holidays!

Whenever we're in Haarlem, we always stop here for a cappuccino or other coffee specialty! It's always perfect and a delight. The service is equally impeccable.

Love this bar! The servers are polite and helpful. Kids friendly: there’s a kids corner with toys and the ambiance is just comfortable for families. The food is authentic and suitable for who is vegetarian. There’s no huge menu but I can tell is really good.

Barista café is a pleasure for the taste. Distinctive dishes and also very tasty. They change the menu regularly and everything is made with love. Also the portions are more than enough. Highly recommended in any branch actually. One downside, the serrano ham was a bit sparse, a little more would have been better.

After 5 minutes I had a delicious cup of coffee, but then had to wait literally an hour and fifteen minutes for half a club sandwich with 8 nacho slices. Really a shame.

Nice and cozy cafe with friendly staff and a fantastic homemade apple tart. The short stopover was very worth it for us.

I ordered a chocolate cake and a Late Macchiato Late Macchiato was great But their chocolate cake was normal. Totally good.

Nice tent. Coffee is okay, but don't expect a good coffee machine or good beans. I ordered a sandwich but received 2 slices of bread with cheese in between from the microwave. I asked if this was correct and they said yes. In my opinion, a sandwich is made in a toaster and is crispy. Wasn't edible.

What a great coffee shop! Delicious iced matcha latte & iced chai latte. Lots of choice, both drinks and snacks. Extremely friendly people. 100% recommended!

I was walking and exploring the city when my phone died. Luckily, I found this lovely café. The staff there were super nice and let me charge my phone. Plus, I got to enjoy a yummy cappuccino and a slice of tasty toffee nut cake. Big thanks to them!

Coffee is not the best, but the taste is fair. The apple Dutch cake was very delicious - totally recommend. We also had white and green tea which was nice.

Had coffee which was fine, but the cake was a bit bland so I didn't really eat anything for lunch. The atmosphere is nice and the service could be a little better, but it is nice to have a cup of coffee.

Crappy tent. Half of the tables were empty, but they were not allowed to put tables together for 4 adults. Were asked to sit among the children. We left immediately and will never come back. Very customer unfriendly. Staff still have a lot to learn. An address to pass by quickly.

Well, coffee not really hot and dirty toilet. This certainly needs to be improved when it comes to coffee.

Great café with excellent coffee. somewhat limited breakfast/lunch options but what we had was tasty. The barista breakfast has a mix of small assorted stuff and perfect amount of food.

It's a really nice coffee with good views over nieuwekerk, but staff took ages to serve, even though there was plenty of staff and few customers. The coffee wasnt great either

Ordered two Caesar salads, 1 vegetarian. Looked nothing like a Caesar salad. Plate of mixed salad with 3 pieces of cucumber and imitation grated Parmesan cheese. Scandalous. Cost 13.50 each. No romaine lettuce, no egg. The non-vegetarian did get a lot of chicken. The vegetarian didn't get a discount, so I didn't tip.

Very nice location of Barista café and it looked very attractive. Despite the crowds, our order was delivered quickly. Cheesecake was very firm and didn't taste very fresh... Cappuccino was very tasty!

Latte ordered, neatly served at the table, the glass shatters into a thousand pieces due to the heat. Coffee all over my wife's clothes and a cut on her wrist from the glass. The staff kept looking sheepish and if we hadn't said anything they wouldn't have done anything, scandalous! There was not even an apology. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for this service!

Terwijl ik dit typ zitten we helemaal achterin de zaak. We hebben een prachtig overzicht en kan niets anders zeggen dat het een hele gezellige sfeer heeft.. Zeer vriendelijk personeel (ben geholpen door Mandy) die ons echt leuk geholpen heeft.. Ik kan niets anders zeggen dat we hier zeker nog terug gaan komen en zelfs onze hond mocht mee..

Was er al een poos niet meer geweest. Beetje vergane glorie. Stoffering banken en stoelen vies & versleten, plastic planten, vies toilet, echt jammer hoor !

Cappuccino chocolademelk waren heerlijk. Het taartenproeverijtje was schandalig. Een mini kokosmacroontje van 3 cm (geen gebak) en gevuld speculaasbrokje (geen gebak) delen met 2 personen op een klein schaaltje met 2 vorkjes met 2 inniemini gebakspuntjes voor 10 euro is echt schandalig. En zag er ook niet uit. Bovendien samen prikken in 1 gebakje is ook niet fris. Aangegeven bij het personeel maar werd gezegd is het beleid kan er helaas niets aan doen.

Cappuccino and flat white were good but not exceptional. Cheese cake was tasty but same here, would not outstanding. Atmosphere is good, staff is super friendly.

Lekkere warme(!) cappuccino. Zeker dat warme is eerder een uitzondering dan regel. Sfeer prima maar tafeltjes staan te dicht op elkaar. Zelf hoef ik het gesprek van mijn buren niet te horen.

Nice cafe, only had a cappuccino (3.50 EUR). The coffee was ok, a bit on the sour side and not a thick foam layer. Friendly staff.

Met mijn dochtertje een high tea gedaan. Het eten was goed verzorgd en leuk gepresenteerd op een etagere. Goede en vriendelijke service. Leuk en gezellig ingericht met een speelhoek achterin. Volwassen high tea broodjes waren gevarieerd. De kinder high tea was minder gevarieerd, maar mijn dochter heeft genoten en was onder de indruk van de gevulde etagere: pannenkoek met Nutella en/of poedersuiker, een broodje met weer Nutella en een kaastosti (geen ham helaas). Zoetigheden: cheesecake, carrotcake, kaneel scones en kokosmakronen, spekjes, chocola, caramelblokjes: alles heeft heerlijk gemaakt. Het was best veel, dus hebben wat mee naar huis genomen. Al bij al een goede ervaring tijdens ons eerste bezoek aan Barista Cafe Haarlem.

Found this place by accident, and was definitely pleased. The staff here was very friendly and engaging, and the coffee was amazing!

Ein sehr schöner Ort um einzukehren. Personal ist äußerst freundlich und sprich gut englisch. Man kann draußen Platz nehmen oder innen. Der Innenraum ist modern, hell und freundlich gestaltet. Die Karte lockt mit verschiedenen Kaffeespezialitäten, Tee, Kuchen und Lunchgerichte. Alles ah sehr ansprechend aus. Der Eiskaffee schmeckt hervorragend genauso wie der Latte Macchiato und frische Tee. Als kleine Aufmerksamkeit bekommt man einen Keks dazu.

Had a lovely brunch with our group of ten. The staff was able to accommodate all of our orders in a timely manner and checked on us often to make sure that we had enough coffee and water. Most of the group had the pancakes with fruit and pieces of meringue. Very yummy. The breakfast burrito and croissant were also well received! Thank you!

Great place for a coffee, nice breakfast or delicious lunch. Their menu offers a great variety and they serve many specialty coffees such as cortado, flat brown, ristretto, and many different types of milk for your latte or cappuccino.

Super nette Bedienung, es wurde sogar extra ein Pärchen unplatziert damit wir als 6 köpfige Familie mit zwei Hunden einen Platz fanden.Mega leckeres Essen, tolles veganes Angebot. Kommen sehr gerne wieder🌱💚

Nice place with many good cake options and a friendly and attentive staff. One of my favorite cafés in the country.

Basically my daily coffee stop ever since the pandemic.

The barista breakfast was delicious, and the variety 😋 of sweet and savoury is great. It is quite a lot of food so do ask to get your acai and granola served separately so you can take your leftover granola home with you because trust me you won't be able to finish it. They are very accommodating, I am not particularly fond of eggs so I asked for the scrambled eggs to be omitted from my order to which the lady promptly suggested a substitute. (I have been able to order the barista to go) The service was great. Friendly staff, Location is great especially the view of the church through the ally with the pretty lanterns. The red velvet cupcake is to die for and the lattes are nice.
