It’s a really cozy nice tapas place with beautiful interior decorations, located in a local neighborhood, very tasty food and a good selection of wine , not that cheap but really worthy , it’s the best tapas place I e tried in Amsterdam so far ! Highly recommended!

Nice people, but really poor service. We waited a long time to order our first drinks, then had to ask 2-3 times for any reorders.

My favorite tapas style restaurant around the corner from my apparent. Definitely worth a visit, unless you are a tourist, then you should go back to the centre to get drunk. 😉

Stop time for a moment, enjoy the beautiful wine bar, the friendly staff and the excellent atmosphere. What wonderful wines in beautiful glasses on chairs and stools that are comfortable to sit on. This wine bar suits true lovers of wines and delicious dishes, we found the bruschetta so excellent that we ordered it three times. Then delicious meatballs with red wine You must experience this, we will go again soon

This is the best tapas I tried in Amsterdam. The croquetas taste like the real Catalan ones and they have a wide selection of good wines. I will come back.

Nice food and wine in this stylish wine bar. The location makes it feel like a neighborhood vibe and the food is well prepared and delicious. The only thing is service can get very slow, specially when they have the terrace full.

One of, if not the best wine bar I’ve been to in my 2 years of living in Amsterdam. The service was excellent all round but in particular the barman (I think his name was Thomas). The cocktails were delicious and so was the bartender if you know what I mean 😉

A great unknown in the area. The food, a mix of Mediterranean cuisine with Italian and Spanish cuisine predominating, is quite good. The service is good too, which is appreciated since it is not common in the city. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is always room available (which is also greatly appreciated when you don't want to plan in advance).

Cozy wine bar in the neighborhood with tasty wines on the menu. Unfortunately there are some downsides. We ordered the manchego and the pata negra. Both dishes are served exactly the same with basalmic vinegar, olive oil and fresh figs. This made 2 completely different products taste almost exactly the same, which I thought was a shame. I also don't think the price-quality ratio is quite right. We sat there for 2 hours, had a few glasses of wine, some snacks and walked out the door for over 100 euros. Thought this was out of proportion for what I ate and drank.

Tapas neighborhood spot. Very good food and awesome staff. Every encounter was friendly, welcoming and polite. Food was delivered fast and with great quality. Ingredients were of high quality and well executed. Good drink variety and the beers were quite unique. The place was packed and had a great ambience. Highly recommended.

Definitely a little gem in the neighbourhood.. the tapas here are excellent and it’s a great concept to have sharing plates with friends. Super cosy outdoor seating, with lots of cushions and heaters! Really enjoyed it 😋

**Update: I find the response I receive from you strange and incorrect, but it is a nice representation of how you deal with your customers.** Although the Barrica restaurant is well decorated and has a nice, cozy feel, the overall experience unfortunately leaves much to be desired. The food is generally good, but this sometimes varies per evening and is therefore not consistent in quality. There have been quite a few changes since the previous owners sold the restaurant. I don't know what exactly happened, but under the new ownership the current staff is downright rude. Even a quick bite for €140 per person is completely ruined by the ladies, especially by the English-speaking bartender with gray hair. Statements like "you should be lucky to eat here" are made in a half-full restaurant. The bill was slapped on the table while we were still eating (and we also had to wait a long time for the food), with the announcement that we could continue eating outside or leave. I will never come back here again, and fortunately there are plenty of other restaurants in the area where they know what gastronomy means!

I am so sorry that I am actually writing this review to my favorite place in Amsterdam - not that I am a local guide or something but always found this place cozy, convenient and we used to have dinner here nearly each week. Today I asked if there was any availability outside + dry and I was told "yes". Then left under heavy rain when many tables inside were available. Staff accepted that the conversation happened exactly as I stated and offered us to sit under the rain after they clean the tables - just to get wet under the heavy rain. I won't ever visit this place again, I am fully aware that their weirdo waitress has all the fault but whoever put her in charge should be informed. We were under the rain for 40 mins - getting there and out of there- and we weren't let in, won't forget this. Hire decent adults not arrogant kids. All memories at this place is gone, the place was overpriced anyways and apparently a tourist trap - not OK for residents. My bad! Don't go and pay a penny to this stupid place! Sharing photos where we were forced to sit, jokers!!!!

Sometimes you want to get one thing but the menu describes another thing as so heavenly you hesitate if you should get that instead. Don’t do that. Most of the dishes are pretty nice but not sooooooo nice that you should change your plans. The environment is quite nice and people are friendly.

Very tasty and non-pretentious dishes for a decent price. I like the fact that it’s Spanish and Italian inspired but without pretending it’s a Spanish or Italian restaurant, if you know what I mean… The atmosphere is great in a very quiet and charming corner in Oud West. Also a nice spot for a glass of wine or a cocktail.

One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam and where we always choose to take visitors. Consistently delicious food, amazing cocktails and wine options, a large menu with lots of choices, great ambiance, and great service. The staff is always friendly and attentive and make us feel right at home. Since the new owner took over, it is always getting better, with little improvements every time we visit.

Great food, dramatic service. The food is fine, not spectacular. We came here often, but tonight was really the last time. Since the new owner has moved in, you have noticed that the service has gone down. Some examples: wanting to take full plates with you or serving the wrong wine (and being forced to order it). In addition, it was made clear to us that we should be happy that we could eat with them. In my opinion this should really be the other way around. Shame.

Cozy casual wine bar in Old West. Good hosts and the best margarita in Amsterdam. Expert advice from Bart about the different flavors/styles of wine. Beaujoulais also tasted very good. Food was good, more vegetarian options would be welcome. Will definitely come back.

Excellent evening spent for two in this bar. We had reserved to be sure of having a table but there were still a few places available when we arrived. Large selection of wine by the glass or bottle and cocktails of all kinds. The tapas served are well proportioned and very tasty. We had a bottle of wine, two aperitifs and 7 plates of tapas and got it for +/-130€ for two. Very good value for money. I recommend for an evening with friends or two!

A wonderful place, small and true to its values, the food and wine is great to share. the space although small holds it sown with the atmosphere and to top it off the service is fantastic, which truly is a rarity in Amsterdam. Highly recommend to try the Chicken bites too.

Great spot for casual dinner/bites and some tasty wine. Really loved the St Marcellin, asparagus and the albondigas. Friendly service and welcoming warm atmosphere. Only thing I would have wanted to change was that the stools were actual seats with a back, but I guess this is because I’m lazy and it takes effort to sit up straight for a few hours 😂. Look forward to another visit!

Every year I organize a Christmas gathering with my closest friends to celebrate Christmas. This year I chose Bar Barrica. Why? Because it’s in my neighborhood in Oud West, and it met all the requirement's I was looking for, when hosting such a gathering. We were 17 friends, and we could not have asked for more. The staff were amazing, attentive and really looked after us throughout the whole night. The wine was amazing and the tapas type, sharing food, was delicious. Everyone had an amazing time, as illustrated with the lovely messages i received the next day about this wine bar and restaurant. They all thought it was a very, special place to have a cosy intimate, evening with friends. I would definitely recommend this magical little gem, in the Oud West. Whether it would be on a romantic date, or with friends to have a cosy, night out. It is soooo “ GEZELLIGE” as the Dutch would say. If to visit this place, you will think the same. Enjoy!

Cute place. Some of the food is very tasty, although some are a bit bland. For example the patatas bravas could use wayyyyy more sauce!! Service tends to be a bit unattentive, but friendly once you have their attention.

What a wonderful wine bar! We were here on a Tuesday evening and all tables were occupied (reservations recommended!). We got a spot at the bar and had a great evening here, with a view of Brandon's cocktail skills and a view of the kitchen where the most delicious dishes from the Italian kitchen brigade came from. Particularly enjoyed the burrata, pulpo and padrons. Delicious dishes to share or eat yourself! Particularly enjoyed the nice vibe; staff really makes contact and really has fun with each other. Very nice to see. Barrica is on our list of nice places in Amsterdam.

Posto carino da sedersi e fare aperitivo però nulla di speciale sul menù. Il caffè sta sul una strada tranquilla e vicino al parco più visitato nella città, il Voldenpark. Quando non piove è molto piacevole sedersi al aperto e prendere un drink. Sul menu ho trovato quase tutto fritto e praticamente nulla di vegetariano. Il servizio è stato buono.

Met a friend for dinner here. Food was reasonably priced for what I could see of Amsterdam pricing. Food was good and staff were really helpful especially as we were sitting outside whilst it rained.

Gemixte gevoelens.. mooie bar. Binnen en buiten mooie ambiance. Maar de prijs kwaliteit /kwantiteit is echt ver te zoeken. Ga je hier heen, bereid je dan voor op 6 euro voor het goedkoopste glas wijn (daarna loopt het hard op). Hiervoor krijg je vervolgens een bodempje. Tip : bestel een fles! De prijzen van de flessen zijn 6x de prijs van 1 glas. Maar, bestel je een glas krijg je niet 1/6 fles maar 1/8e fles. Het zijn echt bodempjes. Niet ok! Niet van deze tijd. Het eten is prima. Niet spectaculair maar prima. Maar ook hier zijn de porties om te janken. 15 euro voor 3cm pulpo. De smaak is wel lekker, dat wel. Maar ook hier is de prijs kwaliteit ver beneden de maat. de enige reden waardoor je niet met honger de tent verlaat is omdat ze overal brood bij doen waardoor het geheel uiteindelijk vult. Maar dat lijkt met niet de bedoeling. . Zonde! Echt zonde, want de wijnen zijn wel echt lekker en in de bediening is de ene nog liever dan de ander. Al kunnen ze misschien wel wat pit gebruiken. Het zou ze niet misstaan als ze tegen hun baas zouden zeggen dat ze zo’n half glaasje niet voor 8 euro uit gaan serveren.. al met al, veel potentie maar veel te pretentieus en door de idiote verhouding van prijs tov kwaliteit cq kwantiteit voel ik me eerder opgelicht dan dat ik denk dat ik hier ooit nog terug ga. En dat vind ik vooral echt zonde van zo’n mooie plek.

Heerlijke hapjes en een sfeervol ingericht terras. Ze waren een van de onderdelen van de bestelling vergeten en dat duurde enorm lang, maar daarom wel als excuus een glas van het huis aangeboden. Goede service en vriendelijk personeel.

The sourdough bread and salsa were delish! I also had the scallops. I didn't like them so much. The ambiance was lovely.

Food was good not special, big portions for the price so definitely a plus. Wine was also good, and service nice and attentive. Interior was done well, especially the bar looks beautiful. Will come again.
