9/8/2026 Once again, we enjoyed a wonderful Sunday afternoon with the finest wines and delicious dishes. They were still closed, but we were allowed to take a seat already; good service, and the terrace is so lovely to sit on. Six months ago: Just stopping time for a moment, enjoying the beautiful wine bar, the friendly staff, and the excellent atmosphere. What delicious wines in beautiful glasses, on chairs and stools that are wonderfully comfortable. This wine bar suits true lovers of wine and delicious food; we found the bruschetta so exquisite that we ordered it three times. Afterwards, delicious meatballs with red wine. You have to experience this; we will be back soon.

We had a delicious meal here! Although it got a bit chilly outside in the evening, fortunately the heater was turned on, allowing us to remain seated comfortably. We really liked the concept of ordering different dishes and sharing them. This way, you can taste a bit of everything and enjoy multiple flavors. All the dishes were flavorful and well prepared. We had a lovely evening and would love to come back again!

Very tasty wine and very attentive service, had a really good time

Last Saturday we ended up randomly walking into this place and decided to book it for dinner as it looked cute. What a hidden gem! The service was EXTRAORDINARY and the food was also fantastic! Definitely worth a visit!

A bit out of the way, but then you find a great wine list! The Clos Priorat ‘11 was especially irresistible. Fried squid super tender. Service sometimes took just a little too long. Nice place!

Sweet local place, the food was amazing. Definitely recommend pulpo, it was perfectly cooked. My friend ordered pasta and she enjoyed it a lot. The atmosphere is very romantic, the staff is great and friendly. For dessert we got tiramisu and it was delicious.

Very tasty food and pleasant wines. The service was attentive, pleasant, and competent. The stools do make sitting for long periods difficult, and the dining areas by the windows aren't ideal, especially near the front door.

Came a lot here during the early autumn season when I was staying in the area. It’s a very cosy and tastefully decorated wine bar. Whenever I’m in the area I usually like to stop by and try out what’s the “wine of the week”- lovely that they have that and it makes the experience more exciting. Excited to come back ✨

The three of us celebrated one friend's birthday here. The idea was to have a "High Wine," and it started off well. After a wine tasting, we each chose our own and toasted the birthday girl. Unfortunately, the entire experience at this place was completely ruined by the waitstaff. He was probably having a bad day or simply doesn't enjoy working there, because we were treated downright rudely. My friend gave him an empty plate to take to the kitchen, which he promptly returned because he'd gone to a table first??? The order was taken with a surly, arrogant look, and when it was brought, there was no friendly expression, not even an "enjoy your meal" or an "please." To top it all off, we wanted to order dessert; and this absolutely took the cake... My friend ordered and was told that the dessert of her choice was sold out, and what's more, no dessert was being served at all because the kitchen was closed. Excuse me? It was 10 p.m. There was no advance notice that the kitchen would be closing soon. All in all... the wine was fine, the food was fine, but the service was absolutely terrible and downright arrogant. We will never come here again, and I advise everyone against it. ZERO STARS!!!

It can't get any better than this! Super cozy and tasty well-balanced dishes with quality ingredients. Kudos to the kitchen for the good food.

A lovely restaurant with delicious dishes. The truffle pasta is especially delicious! The service is friendly, but it was sometimes difficult to get their attention. Actually, our biggest problem was that it was very cold in the restaurant, and as soon as people started smoking outside, we could smell it inside.

We had a wonderful and delicious meal here! There were four of us, and everything was easy to share. So, for €45 per person, we had a delicious meal and some lovely wines. Fantastic!

Beautiful food in a nice setting located in a beautiful part of the city. The staff were very attentive and made a nice fuss over us as it was our wedding anniversary. I’ll be definitely going back next time I’m in Amsterdam.

This is a really nice neighborhood wine bar. I come here often and bring friends when they visit from the US. I visited Saturday night with 2 other friends. I made a reservation for inside, but since we were only having drinks for one hour, they were able to seat us outside, which was very kind. I appreciate the good service and the large wine glasses they use for the Aperol Spritz. Zo gezellig! Dankjewel!

Barrica is such a gem✨ a cozy wine bar with incredible Spanish fusion bites and a great atmosphere. We went three times and every single visit was just perfect. The food is consistently delicious, the wine selection on point, and the service always warm and welcoming. Special mention to the cheesecake… absolutely fantastic. A must-visit in the city!

Barrica is truly a hidden gem! There is a wide selection of drinks – even the non-alcoholic cocktails are surprisingly delicious. It was our first time here and we tried several dishes – every single one was fantastic! The shrimps were super fresh, the fish perfectly prepared, and the vegetarian truffle pappardelle was simply amazing. The sweet potato with parmesan cheese was a delicious, original combination. We had a wonderful evening on the terrace with 5 people. All the food was tasty and really good, we really tried many different things. Service very nice. Very nice place, recommended

Sat on the terrace for 4 hours with wine and tapas. Super sweet, sincere and attentive served by the two ladies in the service. Wines were fantastic! We were allowed to taste different wines before we made a choice, we thought that was great. Food was very good! Sometimes just a bit too salty. And we didn't understand what the corn was doing in the ceviche. But we really enjoyed the food so 5 stars. Portions were good. Chicken was wonderfully seasoned with perfect sauce. Asparagus went sublimely with how sweet the balsamic was. Bruschetta was full but not too greasy. Had a great evening!

This is the best tapas I tried in Amsterdam. The croquetas taste like the real Catalan ones and they have a wide selection of good wines. I will come back.

One of, if not the best wine bar I’ve been to in my 2 years of living in Amsterdam. The service was excellent all round but in particular the barman (I think his name was Thomas). The cocktails were delicious and so was the bartender if you know what I mean 😉

A great unknown in the area. The food, a mix of Mediterranean cuisine with Italian and Spanish cuisine predominating, is quite good. The service is good too, which is appreciated since it is not common in the city. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is always room available (which is also greatly appreciated when you don't want to plan in advance).

Cozy wine bar in the neighborhood with tasty wines on the menu. Unfortunately there are some downsides. We ordered the manchego and the pata negra. Both dishes are served exactly the same with basalmic vinegar, olive oil and fresh figs. This made 2 completely different products taste almost exactly the same, which I thought was a shame. I also don't think the price-quality ratio is quite right. We sat there for 2 hours, had a few glasses of wine, some snacks and walked out the door for over 100 euros. Thought this was out of proportion for what I ate and drank.

Tapas neighborhood spot. Very good food and awesome staff. Every encounter was friendly, welcoming and polite. Food was delivered fast and with great quality. Ingredients were of high quality and well executed. Good drink variety and the beers were quite unique. The place was packed and had a great ambience. Highly recommended.

Definitely a little gem in the neighbourhood.. the tapas here are excellent and it’s a great concept to have sharing plates with friends. Super cosy outdoor seating, with lots of cushions and heaters! Really enjoyed it 😋

**Update: I find the response I receive from you strange and incorrect, but it is a nice representation of how you deal with your customers.** Although the Barrica restaurant is well decorated and has a nice, cozy feel, the overall experience unfortunately leaves much to be desired. The food is generally good, but this sometimes varies per evening and is therefore not consistent in quality. There have been quite a few changes since the previous owners sold the restaurant. I don't know what exactly happened, but under the new ownership the current staff is downright rude. Even a quick bite for €140 per person is completely ruined by the ladies, especially by the English-speaking bartender with gray hair. Statements like "you should be lucky to eat here" are made in a half-full restaurant. The bill was slapped on the table while we were still eating (and we also had to wait a long time for the food), with the announcement that we could continue eating outside or leave. I will never come back here again, and fortunately there are plenty of other restaurants in the area where they know what gastronomy means!

I am so sorry that I am actually writing this review to my favorite place in Amsterdam - not that I am a local guide or something but always found this place cozy, convenient and we used to have dinner here nearly each week. Today I asked if there was any availability outside + dry and I was told "yes". Then left under heavy rain when many tables inside were available. Staff accepted that the conversation happened exactly as I stated and offered us to sit under the rain after they clean the tables - just to get wet under the heavy rain. I won't ever visit this place again, I am fully aware that their weirdo waitress has all the fault but whoever put her in charge should be informed. We were under the rain for 40 mins - getting there and out of there- and we weren't let in, won't forget this. Hire decent adults not arrogant kids. All memories at this place is gone, the place was overpriced anyways and apparently a tourist trap - not OK for residents. My bad! Don't go and pay a penny to this stupid place! Sharing photos where we were forced to sit, jokers!!!!

Sometimes you want to get one thing but the menu describes another thing as so heavenly you hesitate if you should get that instead. Don’t do that. Most of the dishes are pretty nice but not sooooooo nice that you should change your plans. The environment is quite nice and people are friendly.

Very tasty and non-pretentious dishes for a decent price. I like the fact that it’s Spanish and Italian inspired but without pretending it’s a Spanish or Italian restaurant, if you know what I mean… The atmosphere is great in a very quiet and charming corner in Oud West. Also a nice spot for a glass of wine or a cocktail.
