Natural wine for 10 years!! Glouglou is the address to get to know and taste natural wine. Excellent service, delicious food and fantastic wines. Very new experience for us, we really got to know a pearl of Amsterdam here with a lovely terrace. We will come back here soon.

Looking for a nice (not standard) wine bar, Glouglou is the place. The atmosphere and service were excellent. Well-informed and friendly staff, who are happy to share their passion for natural wine. As 2 difficult voters, we were allowed to taste 3 wines after which we ordered a glass of the tastiest. The red natural wine: Trebbiolo is highly recommended. The prices are on the high side. So for 4 glasses of wine and 1 cheese platter, wine paid €50 Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

The wine selection was good, and the food prices were reasonable. However, the service wasn’t great. We stayed for about two hours, had a couple of glasses of wine, and two cheese platters. While we were chatting, the waitress came by and asked if we were doing fine. When we said yes, he asked if we wanted the bill. After we paid, he immediately returned to inform us that a large table was waiting and told us we needed to leave in quite a rude tone.

Ridiculously pretentious, and natural wines are naturally not my thing. I'm sorry but it's a fad. However, it's also cosy and the patrons were fun and friendly in all their pretentiousness. Kitchen should be open all night, and not close when it's still jam packed..

Glouglou is a fantastic wine bar with an extensive wine list that covered such a great range of flavors and tastes. While I didn’t have any of the bites when I was there, seeing the plates other people got, the portion sizes are really good for a wine bar. It is tiiiight inside, so be prepared to be seated very close to others unless you arrive early. But the aesthetic inside is perfect.

Last week, I visited Glouglou for the first time after hearing so many great recommendations. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined as soon as I noticed the waitress serving our table. She was wearing a shirt with a very explicit and offensive political message targeting both the nationality and the country I come from. The shirt even featured a map of my country in a disrespectful context. This was a deeply hurtful experience. I don’t believe such a bold display of political views should be normalized by someone in a customer-facing role. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I won’t be returning to this place. Of course, the waitress is entitled to her opinions, and I hold nothing against her personally. However, I strongly feel that employees representing a business should refrain from expressing their political stance in such an overt way. If this reflects the views of the business itself, I’m glad I know now and can choose not to support such an establishment. If it’s hard to relate, imagine being part of the LGBTQ+ community and being served at a bar where the waiter wears a shirt with a homophobic message. That’s how it felt.

I went for a glass of wine before dinner with a friend and it was super nice. Beautiful service, very nice wine and very nice mid week atmosphere, we had a great time!

One of those crowded Amsterdam wine bars where orange wine can be consumed if you must, but they offer great other wines too. Staff is informal but knowledgeable and very approachable. Very nice part of Amsterdam.

We discovered Glou Glou as that friend you get to know at the end of the holiday, so too late. What a wonderful place, people watching from the terrace with a deliciously spicy rosé and tasty snacks.. Staycation? This terrace makes you forget that you are in Amsterdam and immediately throws you into Provence or into a Parisian bar... Thanks for the hospitality!

Corner spotlight for the neighborhood. GlouGlou offers good ambiance, good quality of the selected wine on the menu and yumyum food plates 🫶🏼🫶🏼😽. It’s just my go to place whenever I want to have casual / spontaneous drinks in the afternoon

Corner spot 😊 with plenty of outdoor seating weather permitting, which wasn’t yesterday. Although there were some hearty souls sitting outside. It’s a busy place with 20-25 seats including the bar so expect a wait during the obvious busy times. My wait was about 5- 10 minutes at the bar before a table opened up, so not too bad and that was Saturday afternoon around 4:30. I’m sure it’s much busier later on. The space itself is welcoming, warm, weathered and dark considering windows on two sides. Included are many posters on the walls and a chalkboard menu. It kind of reminds me of a brown café. It is a natural Wine Bar so be prepared for that. If you haven’t tasted natural wine, you will notice there is a different flavor profile compared to the more traditional wine methods. They typically are more sour, like a cider and can be a little effervescent, and not as complex as most traditional wines. Honestly, I’m not a big fan because they are much less complex and interesting compared to traditional wine. But of course there are exceptions. Other than wines, they offer beers on tap and a simple food menu of bread, cheeses, rilletes. Friendly, efficient service as well. It’s a nice neighborhood wine bar, just not in my neighborhood but I would return for beer and food. Short video below. That’s all for now.

If Wes Anderson and Natural Wine had a love child, it'd be GlouGlou. This place is intimate and cozy, while having great finger foods and wine. Kudos to the staff for the great recommendations on bottles to try and light hearted conversation.

This is my favorite bar to visit when I'm in Amsterdam. Very nice selection of natural wines and the staff is super helpful if you need help choosing. The light bites are fantastic and the place is adorable and well-located. Just love it!

I went here on a date a couple of moths ago. The date was meh but the wine was good. Most importantly though the staff treated me so well, especially Sara was a lovely server. She was very kind and attentive. Will be visiting again

Great bar for trying interesting new wines, I really enjoyed the sparkling red wine they had to offer. The atmosphere is very cozy, perfect for talking with friends for hours. However, the wine glasses did not get replaced in between changing wines, which ruins the tasting experience if your switching from an orange wine to a red wine, I wouldn’t expect to drink red wine in a white wine glass if I’m in a wine bar.

Super cute bar! Like the kind of bar that you would want to go and chill out in to have a good time with the BFF or go to write your novel. It is so sweet. Amazing options of wine and delicious cheese, olives, bread, and nuts. The staff are also so kind and accommodating. My sister and I had the best time ever and just sat there for hours drinking and eating. It was so fun highly highly recommend.

Un lugar con mucho estilo y excelente ambiente. Tienen vinos naturales y unas opciones de aperitivos muy originales y ricos. A la tabla de quesos quizá le falta algún queso local adicional para estar completa.

Dit is geen eerlijke review omdat wij diegene die ons hielp kennen. Maar bijzonder door de natuur wijnen, deze kunnen proeven en eventueel kopen. Het is er best druk dat zegt ook wel wat. Lokatie is niet bijzonder naar daar heb je geen erg meer in zodra je bent gaan zitten. Prima lokatie om natuur wijn te gaan proberen.

One tip maybe, whe you serve escargots do serve them with the right cutlery so you can eat they’re still soft/juicy aind not rubbery and cold while waiting the shelf be coolded enough to grab, French way is all about details, you nail it or pretend and be the inspired place de your. Easily the best wine bar in Amsterdam. The staff is amazing and they’re all super friendly and knowledgeable about all the sorts of wine. Great place to taste while learning a thing or two about the delicacies of wine. The nuts are very delicious here I dunno where they buy their nuts, I need to find out.

Good bar to try out natural wines.

Aan tafel een glas wijn inschenken voor je gast en erover heen klotsen is een aandachtspuntje (…) voor een wijnbar. Vervolgens de uitleg geven dat dat veroorzaakt wordt door de restjes die bij deze (te) volle fles zijn gegoten door collegaatjes, maakt me verdrietig. Kaasplank zuinig. Escargots taai.

My girlfriend found this place and had been looking forward to trying it and they delivered. Their service is personal, warm, and helpful. They let you try different wines and give great recommendations from what you tell them. They have a wide selection and plenty of seats both inside and outside. Big recommendation!
