The prices were also perfect, offering excellent value for the quality. Excellent service, where the bartender (although perhaps he was the owner) was very helpful in choosing the wines and cheeses. Everything was sublime and to our taste, just as we had indicated. We didn't have to pour our own, but it was actually really nice that the drinks were brought to us and that they were so helpful and flexible regarding the tasting options! Highly recommended, and I will definitely be coming back more often.

We had a wonderful high wine here during a bachelorette party with 13 women. It is a very nice and atmospheric wine bar with a very friendly owner. Dietary requirements were well taken into account: there was an excellent gluten-free selection, and a good alternative was also provided for someone who does not drink alcohol. The explanations regarding the wines were fun, and the wines were delicious. The platters of snacks looked beautiful, and everything tasted very good. Everyone was super enthusiastic. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back here again! Thanks for being so helpful and for allowing us to come earlier – that was greatly appreciated!

I finally found a wine bar I really enjoyed in Amsterdam. It may seem a little pricey but I had 5 glasses of wine with a few food dishes. Very busy, friendly staff.

Almost don’t want to share because it’s such a cozy and “secret” spot. But the owners are engaging and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. It’s a destination meaning you have to be looking for it. When you step onto the street it’s suddenly quiet and cozy, you just want to stay all evening.

A cute wine shop to pop into during the colder winter months! If you’re there around Christmas, you’ll be delighted to see beautiful decorations. We had two wine flights, and the staff was so eager to tell us about every single wine, a wine nerd’s dream. A nice way to get out of the crowds of the city center!

Not a particularly striking location, but right in the city center. A fun concept with a block of four wines, such as "Italian red," "French red," or "Chardonnay," all of which you can also sample in half-size glasses. No soft drinks available, but the snacks (snails, croquettes) are excellent.

It opens at 3 PM. If you're looking for wine tasting, this is the right place. We opted for a cheese platter (3 courses) and a tasting of four French red wines.

This is my favorite wine bar and place for charcuterie in Amsterdam! Great service and cute, quiet environment. I’ve now been here twice on two separate trips. Love the wine flights and the giant charcuterie boards. Highly recommend!

Absolute highlight of our trip! My boyfriend and I visited in August and were completely blown away. My family own a wine bar in the UK so I understand the hard work that goes into it, but Sven and Johnny have perfected their craft. We were hosted by Sven who was extremely knowledgeable, interesting and kind. We enjoyed the High Wines Option 2, which far surpassed our expectations. Sven accommodated my dietary preferences generously and we left with very full stomachs! The wines were beautiful, plentiful and well explained to us, they perfectly complemented the food. Our experience at Bubbles and Wines was unforgettable. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We most certainly will be back next time we're in Netherlands

The best evening ever. My girlfriend booked a “high wine, option 2” for the two of us (this was back in August, sorry for the late review) and it surpassed everything we expected. The person who runs the establishment with his business partner greeted us and talked us through every wine and its accompanying food. Everything was absolutely delicious and we both learnt a lot in the process. It was the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam, it was a lovely place to be, the wine was fantastic and we left fully satiated. We will return!

Wandering around the back streets of Amsterdam (lost) we stumbled upon 2 orange veuve chairs around a wine barrel. Behind them was this gorgeous hidden gem wine bar where we had the set of three tasting sparkling wines each, a charcuterie board and a cheese board. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly, food and drinks were SO GOOD - and decent value for money. (13 euros for the tasting 3 sparkling wines).

I began with a flight of French whites, which naturally included a Chablis—always a reliable benchmark for quality, and this one didn't disappoint. From there, I ventured into a few additional selections, each professionally suggested and properly served. The cheese selection deserves particular mention. Three varieties, all magnificent, and clearly curated with care rather than merely assembled. They paired beautifully with the wines and elevated the entire experience. The chap at the bar demonstrated genuine knowledge without pretension—refreshing in an era when wine bars can sometimes take themselves too seriously. Service was perfectly attentive. If you find yourself in Amsterdam with an appetite for good wine and some proper cheese, Bubbles & Wines is a worthwhile stop. You'll be rather pleased with yourself for having found it.

Overall a good wine bar, borderline 5 stars to me. They have a wide selection of wine by bottle and a decent selection of ~20 wines by the glass. I came there because I saw an enomatic (wine dispenser) machine but it’s actually meant for the staff only, not for the customers to self-service unfortunately. The prices were okay, a bit on the higher end. The interior and atmosphere was just fine

It looks like a nice bar and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, that's about it. At a champagne tasting, you get three different kinds. All at once and clearly from bottles that have been open for a while. The result: no bubbles in the bottle, undrinkable, and warm champagne against you as you start your second glass. A tip: serve everything one glass at a time and simply discard any open bottles. We'll be going back to Epernay to taste champagne in the future.

Very chill vibe, the quality of wine and cheese was beyond my expectation. Even my friend who normally hates cheese enjoyed it. The owner certainly knows his stuff about wine, he is super friendly, warm, and funny too. Loved our experiences and will definitely come again!!

Stayed in a hotel in the same street and finally made it inside on my last day in Amsterdam. This wine bar/restaurant is absolutely adorable, the atmosphere inside was fun and moody. I didn’t have a reservation but they took us as a walk-ins, they were accommodating and the service was wonderful. Obviously the wine is good here, and the food to accompany them was excellent too, I think I ended up with 3 orders of oysters, and the charcuterie board was the perfect pairing. Really lovely place!

This place was on my "Must Do" list for Amsterdam. When researching them I saw they had such a diverse and fun wine list with by the glass, bottle and tasting options. They aren't far from Dam Square, but set into a side street so much quieter and laid back. We enjoyed a champagne tasting that gave us 3 different champagnes to try for only $28! Our server explained each one to us and allowed us to ask any questions we had. We also had a glass of wine each before leaving because the atmosphere was so fun! We did not try the food as we had just eaten not long before getting there, but they do have food available that another table had and it looked very fresh and like it would pair well with your wines. The vibe here is so unique. I loved how laid back and comfortable this place was for how elite a wine list it has! There was no effrontery or snobbish attitudes just a group of people that seem to love wine and community. They have local art hanging and available for purchase and the staff took the time to give us the background of the artist and how they came to have their work available. This is the place where if I lived in Amsterdam I could see myself visiting at least once a week for a glass of wine and a chat. Highly recommend if you are in the area, especially if you love trying new and fun wine.

Decidimos sentarnos en el bar y estuvimos encantados de conocer a Jonny, uno de los propietarios! Jonny era extrovertido, amable e informativo y nos ayudó con excelentes recomendaciones de vino. La selección de vinos fue increíble y sin duda disfrutamos de probar las deliciosas catas generosas! A medida que más gente entraba entablamos conversaciones con otros clientes y un habitual, lo que se sumó al maravilloso ambiente y la vibra! La tabla de charcutería que pedimos era un delicioso surtido de carnes, quesos, mermeladas, etc. los acompañamientos perfectos para nuestro vino. Cozy place but poor service, for a place where they serve aperitifs it's strange not to find a prosecco or an Aperol Spritz or a bitter Campari, nothing special.

We had a high wine here last Saturday and I will never do a high wine anywhere else again. We received very large tasty planks of food and 8 good and tasty wines per person. And all that for €45 p.p. And in a beautiful café in the center of Amsterdam (right next to the Rokin stop). Highly recommended!

Nice winebar. Good expertise and they really take the time to explane the different wines. Good selection of wines. Also the choice of wines by the bottle is impressive. Food is simple but decent. Could be the only point of developing. The staff is very friendly and open. Good and patient way of working explaining makes the visit to this bar well worth it.

Wat een leuke sfeervolle zaak, in het centrum van Amsterdam. Met 2 eigenaren die veel kennis hebben en dat graag overbrengen. Een prachtige wijnkaart met zoveel keuzes dat het lastig kiezen is, maar daar helpen zij je graag en kundig bij. Het is ook geschikt voor iedere portemonnee. De hapjes die je erbij krijgt zijn ook fantastisch en met zorg bereid en goed passend bij de wijnen.

He estado un par de veces ahora y se ha convertido en mi ir a, con amigos, para las noches de citas con mi novio y cuando mi familia visita también. Traje a mis mejores amigos de Italia aquí y nos lo pasamos muy bien. Gran ambiente, la selección de vinos es genial, tienen algo para todos! El personal es siempre agradable y acogedor, están dispuestos a ayudarle y sugerir vinos para todos los gustos. Definitivamente debería estar sobre la marcha de todos perderse cuando visite Amsterdam!

For dates and friendly gathering its best place. Quite and so calming. They have tastings and choice of whatever you want in the menu. Simple, cozy, super friendly and funny staff. Yesterday was such an amazing time! The owner of this beautiful establishment greeted us with his passion for wine and splendid customer service. They offer a wide range of not only wines and knowledge about them, but also made some exquisite cocktails and also served delicious whiskey. I was truly in awe of the fervent interest and experience that we were served with, not only with basic knowledge about the wines, but additionally being told stories about trying them at their vineyards. We ordered some of the cheese and charcuterie as well as the traditional bitterballen and it was the perfect accompaniment to our drinks. This was also presented beautifully and most important perhaps were delicious. The atmosphere in Bubbles and Wines is some of the best I’ve ever experienced- if I was a local and not a tourist I would definitely come back often. So if you are reading this make sure to go, it’ll be a memory for life.

Really love this place! Its is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Staff is very friendly and welcoming! They can tell you a lot about their wine’s. Been coming here for over 13 years and almost nothing changed and that is a compliment.

Had a superb experience here. Had some incredible wine flights sampling some of the nicest wines, with some cheese, caviar and other lovely food. The little touches and accoutrements were such a nice addition - so much thought and detail has been put into the place. Really classy place but with an informal vibe. This was our first day in Amsterdam and Johnny made our night absolutely amazing. Every time I asked him for a surprise glass with the notes I liked, he brought the most perfect glass! The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming, my friends and I had an amazing time. HIGHLY recommended stop to your Amsterdam trip and I really hope johnny is there to make your experience as special as mine and my friends!

Great location in a quieter street right next to De Wallen if you want a good spot after more touristy activities & then want to get away from the crowds & drink good wine. Excellent wine list, good selection of mostly Dutch cheeses. Fun staff. Very narrow & bit awkward though with seating options limited if more than 4 people. But options at the bar.
