Bottleshop Amsterdam offers an incredible drinking and dining experience. I simply love this concept of a wine bar where the culinary offerings are given just as much attention as the drinks. The Food The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered the lamb neck with white beans and wild garlic oil, along with the demi bbq coquelet served with beurre blanc and sivri pepper. Even though it is a wine bar, the food is completely delicious and easily stands on its own. The wine selection is perfect. We asked the extremely nice waiters to pair wines with our meal, and they completely nailed the pairings. The Venue Located on Wibautstraat, Bottleshop Amsterdam has built a strong reputation as a modern neighborhood spot that perfectly combines natural wines with globally inspired cuisine. The vibe inside is amazing, making it an ideal setting for dates or small groups of friends. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. Summary An easy 5 out of 5. With phenomenal food, expert wine pairings, and a fantastic atmosphere, this place executes its concept flawlessly. It is a brilliant spot that you will want to return to again and again.

From begging to end everything was perfect. The service was one of the highlights: We had a table booked and since the weather was nice they kindly move it outside, and when raining was approaching the moved us inside before the storm hit. Our waiter came to say goodnight when his shift ended. Food was impecable. The tuna bruschetta, the dorada and the chicken for me where the highlights. But everything was delicious. Only lowlight was the music inside, too high for my taste. Highly recommended! Ps: we spent 100 each, having 3 bottles of wine, 10 dishes and 2 desserts.

Cool unpretentious atmosphere serving niche specialty wines with great food and cocktails. The menu is limited but carefully curated and every dish was tasty, but the portions are quite small for the price. €16 for 1 piece of tuna tostada is very expensive, but was well made. We also didn’t get a list of wines by the glass.

Great flavourful tapas and coool place to enjoy it with friends

The food is amazing. I had a dish with fish emulsion. Doesn't sound tasty, does it, but it was the best comfort food I've ever had. Truly amazing.

We had a wonderful evening! We were helped in an incredibly friendly manner by a young, blonde, charismatic employee. He let us taste various delicious wines and was very attentive to our tastes, so we could choose exactly the wines that suited us best. With some tasty snacks on the side, it was a real treat!! We will definitely be back ☺️

Sat on the terrace. In the sun. Ordered a mad bottle of red wine, lightly chilled and ate some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Really interesting combinations of flavours. The oysters were incredible. 10/10 - “it’s not a bad life” kind of evening.

10/10! Food and drinks were all delicious - the standout dishes were the bbq dorada and the cauliflower. For someone that doesn’t usually like oysters the michelada oyster was full of flavour. We ate upstairs and then moved downstairs with our drinks for more atmosphere as there was a dj there. Staff were also very friendly and helpful and gave great wine and food recommendations. Great evening, already looking forward to going back!

Small menu. Delicious food. Great drinks - get the Michelada. Modern building and space is long and narrow but it gives you a view of the whole restaurant. Will come again. Also get the tuna tostada

Literally the best wine bar in the city! The selection is incredible and THE FOOD IS SOOOOO GOOD. I would like also to emphasize the vibe that the workers set there, truly one of my favorite spots.

The service was non existing - the music made it unbearable - waste of an evening despite the food being very good

We visited Bottleshop late on a Friday night, and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and had a very relaxed vibe that immediately made us feel comfortable. My friends and I shared a bottle of white wine along with some olives, and everything was of excellent quality. What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. The place had a cozy, hygge feel with candlelight, great music selections, and a simple, unpretentious décor. The crowd was lovely too, which added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy good wine and good company, this is a great choice. I would definitely come back.

Super friendly service, tasty food and great wine

Nice place with a vibe and good food. Wine is on point, too. Good selection of natuaral & orange wine, as well. The service thou.. thats another story. All 3 people serving the terrace were spending their time talking with customers who were also apparently friends, instead of paying attention to other customers who need refills or more food. After I finished my glass of wine, it took them more than 20 minutes to notice me, despite two of them being right next to me, but busy chatting or even drinking with clients (friends) 😐 While waiting, another pair of customers left the place saying they totally forgot their order and service was not up to the standards of the place. Again, the food and wine were delicious but they need to work on their staff's efficiency ..

Food was good (not amazing). The main problem was that I had to wash all my clothes, pants and coat because the cooking oil smell was so hard that no amount of airing or de-odoring helped! They were smelling like I worked in the kitchen all day. Definitely not cool for a restaurant like this.

A very trendy restaurant with a truly sophisticated atmosphere. The dim lighting creates a mysterious and charming ambiance that I really appreciated. Objectively, the menu is quite expensive for the portions offered, and the natural wine list doesn't suit my taste, even though I tried to explore it. I have a hearty appetite and I prefer classic wines, so naturally, it's not exactly what I'm looking for. But despite that, it's a very nice restaurant that could definitely appeal to some. It's just not the best fit for someone like me.

I had an allergic reaction to a tuna tostada that had squidink (cant have shellfish or mollusks). Im not the panicky type but the total aloof reaction was kind of strange from a restaurant thats at least trying to appear so high end. Allergens are not listed on the menu and staff is clearly not trained to deal with any kind of allergy. There was no aftercare or attention from staff. They sent me to the nearest albert heijn for antihestimines. We left shortly after because i wasnt feeling well, to find out that the bottle of wine we ordered and they didnt have was subsituted by one 21 euro more expensive. These are things you expect to be told when youre paying 83E for a mid bottle. Portions are small, the tongue taco was great tho, cachapa was okay, tuna was great otherwise ;). Would advise to symbol allergens on the menu, it’s mandatory. Zal niet snel terugkomen.

Amazing experience. This place was on my todo list for a long time, it’s definitely a must do if you are in Amsterdam. The ambiance was nice and cozy. My advice would be to pick what food you feel more like and ask the waiters a custom pairing glass of wine. It would be a waste to pick only one bottle other the whole selection they have. They really listen to my preferences and made me discovered amazing new references. This is a place I could and will come back to !

We went to the Bottleshop last night—what a fun, modern bar with a DJ! You do have to know where to find it, but it's definitely recommended. We were pleasantly surprised by their fantastic selection of natural wines (including the alcohol-free ones!) and enjoyed the delicious small plates with a Mexican twist. Everything was truly delicious, a feast for the taste buds. Kudos to the chef and the friendly staff (and no, I'm not just saying that because my son works there 😉). You deserve a star!🌟 I agree, not all heroes wear capes...some wear aprons!👏🏼👏🏼

Went here with my friend and the waiter demanded a €30 tip after having a €20 something bill and wanting to pay cash with a €50 bill. Quite rude and left with a bad after taste. My friend didn’t protest because he was quite drunk, but I feel bad the waiter took advantage of his state like that. Atmosphere and drinks are great though!

Food is average, some dishes good and some were mediocre. The reason i am giving a one star and not 2/3 is the service. Quite possibly the worst experience I’ve had in a long while and for Amsterdam standards, this is pretty bad. We had a small Bday dinner for a friend and I had ordered dessert just so we can sing her happy birthday (we did not want to eat dessert) I asked the waiter for a candle or any sort of decoration so we can sing with dessert and he confirmed. After waiting for a long while, the desserts came and no mention of candle not even a happy birthday to the girl. I went and asked and he said that they finished the candles (no mention of that?!) and assured me he can figure something else out - after which we were left hanging. HE NEVER FIGURED ANYTHING NOR CAME TO SAY IT! so ar some point, extremely pissed we just paid and left Absolutely mind blowing Not worth it!!!

We had amazing fine dinner, we ordered the oysters a la mexicana, the croquets, and tacos! Everything was delicious, service was very nice and recommended us the best dishes!

We had a truly wonderful meal here. We'd already enjoyed the food Omar Sanchez conjures up, but our memories were still more bland than the reality. And then there's the service; friendly and warm, knowledgeable and professional. We'll happily return, again and again.

Really fun place for wine, waiters helped us find exactly what we wanted. Went there three Fridays ago. Asked for a dry white, a bit sour, no fruit, and semi-bubbley, and our man did not miss! Atmosphere was relaxed and a fun dj had his bday there, so we enjoyed that too. Only issue is that I did not ask for the girl-that-also-used-to-live-in-China's number, but hey that isnt their fault!

We come here at least once a month. We live nearby and are wine lovers. They somehow make us feel like we're celebrating something. Life itself. Delicious wines, surprising suggestions. A real treat. The snacks are truly top-notch. Cosmopolitan atmosphere. Knowledgeable and friendly host. We always go home happy.

Hands down the best steak tartare in the Netherlands!!

I had made reservations, but when we arrived we were told to just find a table and sit. There were only high chairs available, and a table where we literally had to sit 2 centimetres away from other people already there (with all their personal belongings laying everywhere). We got two glasses of wine and said we'd wait at the bar until a table becomes available. Ten minutes later we were told the kitchen was going to be closed and we needed to make a decision. We paid for the wine and left. This is not how "making reservations for dinner" is defined in my book. Wine was nice.

I went to Bottleshop with a friend Friday night, having made no reservation (bad idea for a Friday night cuz obviously they were packed). Nonetheless Jonathan and the team did everything to accommodate us and we felt very welcomed (thanks for your lovely service guys!!!). The selection of wines was great, we went for a bottle of Riesling orange wine which was super nice. I also gave their espresso martini a shot but I’ve had better (and that’s so fine given that it’s not a cocktail bar). But the most surprising aspect was how good the food was. No words really, we had the sourdough with stracciatella and rhubarb cake and both were DIVINE. There’s also a live DJ (I’m guessing it happens every Friday) and that was also super cool. Will definitely come again :)

The pictures do not do this place justice! We had dinner at Bottleshop with a group of 8 for my friend’s birthday. It was AMAZING. The set up was beautiful, and the set menu was delicious. I would come back and have all of it again. The star of the show is definitely the wine: the passion they serve you with and the knowledge about the bottles they recommend. If you love wine and a good time, I can recommend this place for any occasion.

A Perfect Night of Yakitori, Wine, and Beats – special even last Sunday at Bottleshop. If you ever needed proof that good things happen when you mix top-notch yakitori, natural wine, and a DJ spinning great tunes, this event was it. The star of the night? Five kinds of perfectly grilled yakitori—juicy chicken, rich duck breast, tender beef, flavorful tongue, and bold heart. Each skewer had that perfect balance of smoky char and umami goodness, making it impossible to pick a favorite. (Okay, maybe the duck. Or the tongue. No, wait—the chicken? You get it.) And the wine? A killer lineup of bio and natural selections that ranged from crisp and zippy to deep and funky, each one playing off the yakitori flavors like a dream. With the DJ setting the vibe just right, the night turned into the perfect mix of laid-back and lively. Sipping, snacking, and vibing—it’s safe to say this bottleshop knows how to throw a damn good time. If they do this again, you need to be there.

Fantastic vibes with kind, attentive service. Love the decor and music. Too many mousy wines - these should be tasted before serving. Food was delicious but the portion sizes are shameful.

Beautiful experience! The service was incredible, blonde girl serving us was super friendly and picked gorgeous wines for us. The food was also so lovely, especially the flatbread. As we don’t live in Amsterdam we often dream about visiting Bottleshop again. Can’t wait to be back! :)

Amazing spot for unique natural wines, selection is vast and varied. If you want per glass, you have to leave it up to the waiter to select something to your taste as there is no menu for wine by the glass. We had 4 different wines, all of which were fantastic. Food is also fantastic, definitely creative. Asian inspired, but tastefully done. The Sourdough with Comte and Chili honey was a surprisingly delicious combination, and the Roasted Pumpkin with stracciatella and raddichio was amazing as well. Service was attentive and well received.

We had natural wines and fish of the day and pumpkin , the fish preparation was absolutely lip smacking and the pumpkin i think could have been cooked a bit more other than that the taste of the dish was pretty good.

Very cozy place with nice people, good music (hip-hop), excellent food and delicious wine. Perfect for a date or with friends. We would love to come back the next time we visit Amsterdam without children.

Such an amazing spot for a date night or girls night - the wine selection is amazing, particularly their orange wines. The service is truly the best I’ve found in the entirety of the Netherlands - they continuously refill your water jug when it’s empty! The waiters are super super attentive, and are really invested in giving you a good experience. Will definitely be a regular!

Just amazing place, great staff, food and of course wine

You can find really good wine here. On the other hand, food was mediocre, 16 euros for a small starter that didn’t even taste special. I recommend coming here just to try interesting wines and for the atmosphere. Also, ask to be seated downstairs, we were sitting upstairs and it felt a bit isolated.

The bottle shop has been on my to-visit-list for a while, so I was hoping it would live up to my expectations. Unfortunately it did not. We visited the venue last Friday when they collabed with a Parisian restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the selection of wines was impressive on one hand. On the other hand the “shared dining” plates were so small. Paying 20-30€ for a 4 of pieces of lobster or fish barely enough for a bit is not what I came for. Sourdough bread was out of stock as the menu lacked any carbohydrates. So after paying 75€ pp we left this place hungry and went to the FEBO :/. Might come back, but only for the excellent wines

Thank god they removed the Public bench and the bin next to it by the window . So fed up of ruining my Beaujolais by seeing beggards searching for beer cans!! Well done!!

Amazing place, extremely nice food and dope music

Here they don’t know how to serve and open oysters. Variety of food is limited and food is expensive. I had oysters and got it mixed with sauce. Like cmon, who kills the taste of oysters straight away, how I can smell it to make sure it’s great? Second time oysters were with sauce on the side but with fragments of shell and torn to pieces. Oysters were 4.5€ pp, 4 pieces of bread with some butter is 7€, carpaccio is 15€, but it’s vegan, so it’s some slices of cucumbers and radish with spicy sauce. Vine selection is good. Stools are uncomfortable. We ended up in AH supermarket nearby to finally get some food.

Great crafted wine list and many wines available per glass. We were offered a taste of every wine we were asking for and the recommendations were great. The food is treated at restaurant level and it was delicious. The only inconvenient I could mention is the music is quite loud for most of the time, making it feel like a night club instead of a cozy wine bar.

It was my first time here and the experience was not great, unfortunately. The menu was very limited and food did not taste great. The furniture really had my body struggle. The place was also too loud and crouses, but the top floor was still closed. Sadly, we left dissatisfied.

It was the second time I visited this place and this time it was disappointing. The chairs were uncomfortable, definitely not for sitting on them for 2 hours. The portions were small and overpriced. I had sashimi and it was just a rice crisp with a piece of fish topped with cheap sauce. The flavor and structure weren’t balanced. My friend had carpaccio and it was just a sliced cucumber. The wine was good.

Really unique wine bar. The wine selection was impressive, as well as our knowledgeable server. The oysters were the best I’ve ever had in Amsterdam. Only critique was the amount of bread did not match the cheese portion for the cheese platter.

I've been wanting to come here for a while and finally got around to it. I believe that you can get wines to take away, hence the name. They only sell natural wines, which is the reason why I wanted to go. It seems like they constantly open bottles and so you could go on two different nights and might not have the same wine twice. I got quite a few glasses and all of the wines were really good. I also got some food to accompany the wine and all of the dishes were decent. I particularly liked the artichoke hearts in tempura and the flatbread with stracciatella with anchovies. I'm not the biggest fan of anchovy, but it worked really well with the creaminess of the cheese and the crunchiness from the flatbread. I finished off with a negroni, which is one of my favourite drinks and it didn't disappoint. Glad that I finally got around to visiting and will definitely be back again. The service was efficient as well, without being overbearing.

New wine bar, great selection of wines and nice different food options. We heard that this was the chef from the now closed “Public Space” where we always had great different fusion “Wow” food. Was one of our favourites “go to” Sharing plates , to start white sourdough flatbread with stracciatella, anchovies and bone marrow salsa macha- tasty but not hitting the 5*, second we took the eggplant with Morita chilli Miso sauce- this had “Wow “ factor, quite spicy but perfect for our tastes. Last plate was the PorcCheeks with beetroot & dressing , the meat was perfectly cooked , great sauce but missing that extra special “something”. Good music but a little loud for us 😀. We will go back try different plates.

This charming wine bar, a brief trip away from the central, hosted us for their lobster lunch event, featuring lobsters paired with Jura wine. The setting had a distinct Nordic flair in both ambiance and decor. The service was good. It’s definitely a place worth revisiting.

A new favorite. Hip modern wine bar with amazing food, exceptional service (refreshing in Amsterdam!), tasty natural wine selections, and good music! Definitely a gem. We felt really good there and not rushed, could’ve easily stayed much longer with the nice atmosphere!

Had a really fantastic evening! Extremely friendly staff, very relaxed atmosphere, we did not feel rushed at all and were able to enjoy this wonderful place at our leisure. The food is of top quality, very good wines. You can ask anyone on the staff for advice, because the wine list is extremely extensive. We will 100% definitely come back!!

Excellent service, they went above and beyond to recommend matching wines. I haven’t seen service so good in a long time. And the wines were so tasty, best part of the evening. The dishes were good for sharing, portions not too big, but this is the concept. Nice vibe in general!

Enjoyed our time here! Service was very kind, and the wine list has plenty of cool cult-producers that are hard to find elsewhere. The vegan croquettes are insanely good!
