The food is always delicious here and the staff is also very friendly.

I could do two things, like so many others, and write a whole page about how bad my experience was, but that's a waste of time. All I can say is stay away from this place, and the owner is incredibly smart; you wouldn't give him a penny. Good luck to those who do go.

More than half an hour late, unfriendly service and inedible french fries: overcooked and cold. Completely done after every time hassle with koh and barstow.

The waitress brought a veggie burger but insisted it was a regular burger. I had to open it, and the corn kernels rolled out 😂 The food is pure commercialism. Simply boring and often fried. Hopefully, a restaurant will open someday that actually has a passion for the craft, because the location is wonderful.

It's gone downhill. That little dark man is extremely antisocial and rude, it's unacceptable. He needs to learn how to serve guests in the hospitality industry. Never, ever again. Disgusting piece of shit.

I've come across a lot of negative comments on Google. Normally, I take that into account when making my decision, but on a colleague's recommendation, we decided to eat here. And we had a delicious meal. A very extensive menu: sushi, various finger foods, rice and noodles, burgers, burritos. Something for everyone. The meat is halal, which was also reflected in the fusion of cultures in this restaurant. We had shrimp, onion rings, and a small portion of spare ribs as a starter. Our main courses were a baby burrito, a burger, and fried noodles with cashew chicken. All dishes were very tasty. We just hadn't anticipated that it was a kind of shared dining experience and that everything would arrive at the table at the same time. So be careful not to order everything at once (and not too much). The food arrived incredibly quickly, by the way. I think we had our food on the table within 10 minutes, which I found pleasant. Friendly (young) staff. Of course, we also have to complain. The staff's attire could use a bit more attention, though, in terms of a uniform look (I found some of the worn/dirty sneakers a bit unsavory). All in all, it's a lovely place to spend time at the IJburg harbor. Definitely worth a visit. Starter, main course, and dessert, including a few soft drinks and tea afterward, for less than €40 per person, which I think is a great price these days.

We ordered food from here today, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The ribs were practically inedible—there was little to no meat on the bone, and the little meat we could get off was tough as rubber. Most of what we ate was fat, at least 70%, which is absolutely not what you'd expect from a good portion of spareribs. For an order of almost €50, you should expect quality at the very least, but this was absolutely awful. This wasn't a meal; it was a waste of money. This experience left a very bad impression, and we will never order from here again. Such a shame!

Truly a nice restaurant with good food. The young people who work there are very sweet, only the older staff shout at them in front of all the customers. So not a nice atmosphere. Everything also took quite a while to arrive, we even waited about 20 minutes for the drinks. Also, the people in the kitchen do not wear hairnets, and yet I see several reviews that say something about hair in their food. Also intense how the restaurant reacts to certain reviews when the restaurant is wrong. The food is great, but this negativity means I don't have to come by anymore!

Delicious food. Super sweet staff who do their best, especially a young guy with blond hair, you deserve kudos!

The chicken wings are delicious! Service is always good, received the wrong order... Within 5 minutes someone was on our doorstep with the correct one! Well organised!

Tacos were 10.- believe me I got 2 old doritos with 1 shrimp in it with a little lettuce. Every dish arrived every 20 minutes and not a single dish with chicken had any taste (presumably Dutch in the kitchen) staff also walk around as if they came from club air after a night of drinking coma lol

The kitchen is open until nine, but when I (1) arrive at half past eight I no longer get a table because the kitchen is closed. Too bad because you're out. Update: Google says you're open until 9pm. At least last Sunday. Moreover, tacos on the facade but no tacos on the menu. Awaiting your response. You were so quick last time

I really think it's a shame that I have to rate my visit with 2 stars. The staff was really friendly. What went wrong for me is that my daughter had hair in her food, nasty. I indicate this to the staff as unobtrusively as possible. The friendly, but clumsy, waitress asked me what to do with it and if I wanted my daughter's same snack back. Not a new one... no, she wanted to remove the hair and give it back to me. Bljeg! I paid, did not receive any apology or compensationo and went home. As a tip, I would like to say that the use of headgear in the kitchen is recommended, because when I looked in the kitchen I saw that there were no headscarves/chef's hats or the like. is being worked on. I hope this tip is taken seriously, because I already read an earlier response in which hair was found. And when I read the reviews I get the strong impression that complaints are not responded to seriously.

Worst service ever. I came here often when the weather was nice and the Hindustani-looking man is always super antisocial and I therefore often try to avoid him. Unfortunately that didn't work out today because when we walked towards the tables (tent was empty) he already asked us what the intention was (in the meantime he was unprofessionally "training" the very young, friendly employees). So we weren't allowed to just sit anywhere (understandable) but it wasn't about the message but about the tone. He had to make it clear that he was in charge here with a dirty smile. Went straight back to the car to be treated decently somewhere else. He treats you like you get free food. That guy has to go and is not allowed to work anywhere in the catering industry. Dirty boy.

Unfortunately, my experience at the KOH& Barstrow restaurant in IJburg was very disappointing. My friend (a Muslim woman) ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail, I got a drink with alcohol. And she realized this after tasting her drink, because she has ordered this drink without alcohol before and it was not the same taste. I then called the waiter and he confirmed that it was a cocktail with alcohol. Although the waiter apologized and offered a free drink, the attitude of the staff in handling the situation was unacceptable. At checkout we indicated that we did not order a free drink and instead wanted to cross a drink off the receipt. The waiter also agreed to this. Everything went well until checkout. The person who helped us pay was someone else and he was very rude. We were treated as if we were trying to take advantage of the situation. The way the gentleman treated us at checkout was downright disrespectful. He put it down as if we were deliberately trying to take advantage and canceled our order. He then indicated that we had to leave the restaurant and that we were no longer welcome, which was absolutely humiliating. This experience left me not only disappointed but shocked by the lack of respect and professionalism of the staff.

My recent visit to Barstow was an absolute nightmare. I've never had such a bad experience. I specifically ordered a Virgin cocktail, but to my dismay I discovered after one sip that it contained alcohol. As a Muslim woman, this was very disturbing to me. When I informed the manager about this, he offered to replace the drink with a free alternative. I understood that mistakes can happen and graciously accepted his offer. However, when I had to deal with another person and explain what had happened, I was treated as if I was trying to take advantage of the situation. I emphasized that this was absolutely not my intention and that I was disappointed that I had accidentally consumed alcohol. The owner's reaction was completely out of proportion. He became aggressive and demanded that we leave his restaurant before we even paid. Even after we left, he continued to chase us and refused to listen to our explanations. His lack of professionalism and respect was nothing short of baffling. I will never return to Barstow and I highly recommend others do the same. It is unacceptable for an owner to treat customers this way and I am deeply disappointed in the way I was treated.

Very rude service from Henk-Jan specifically. Hung up on the call *four times* when inquiring about the order after an hour's wait. The food is not worth the service. Won't be ordering again. Frying an egg is easier.

The food was quite ok. Service was nice. Unfortunately, we had a hair in the food as well as a piece of raw salmon (in a veggie bowl). Quit expensive overall. We wouldn't come back.

We order at Barstow at least once every every week, by far our most favorite place on IJburg! Great burgers, tacos and fries. Unfortunately the last time we got warmed up fries which were soft and tasted from yesterday. What would make the menu even better is a Smash burger!! Gotta have the smash burger guys!! :) Thanks for the great food and keep it up

We used to love the food here as we live in Ijburg and this was our go to place to grab a bite, generous portions and well filled burritos. The last 2 times we were here, which both happened to be now in 2023, we were disappointed with the food. Our order is always the same: barbacoa burritos, tuna tacos, loaded nachos. We noticed they have changed the recipe for the tuna taco, it’s with a more sweet sticky sauce and is cut in cubes. They also started using red beans instead of black beans for the burrito, and the rice is with asian rice texture instead of the tex mex loose rice style. The burrito wasn’t wrapped well and fell apart in our hands, it had more rice than meat this time. At last, they use to give 1 serving of each sauce (guacamole,sour cream, salsa), and they are now putting the 3 together in one single portion that isn’t enough for an entire burrito. For us, these changes has impacted the taste and quality of eating here.

Such a good place. Their chicken wings are one of the best. I like the concept of sharing the kitchen and also staff (I feel I saw some of them in other Ijburgeats locations). Nice atmosphere!

Couple of month ago moved to Ijburg and always complained that there’s not a lot of good restaurants. Found yesterday Barstow via IJburg eats and I’m the happiest person on the 🌏. We ordered 3 burgers and the avocado one was omg it was so delicious that I wanted order one extra 😃, really happy with this restaurant fresh food and acceptable prices. Looking forward to dine in. Delivery was super quick, thank you Barstow 🙏🏻

Delicious burgers, great for a quick bite! The nice thing of the restaurant that it also is linked to the Thai kitchen, so two menus you can choose from.

Super Aussicht, nette und kompetente Mitarbeiter*innen servieren super leckere Gerichte und Cocktails oder Bier oder... Für jeden Geschmack und Hunger wird hier etwas angeboten und man sitzt in traumhafter Kulisse. Beim Aufenthalt im Hotel "Four Elements" unbedingt mal rübergehen. Sonst mit der Tram26 bis Ijburg und nen Sundowner genießen.

As Californians we are really, really entertained that someone would name a cafe after the worst city in California. The irony value is high here. The food is pretty good. The location is awesome, overlooking a marina. It does suffer a bit from dutch localization; The spices are too mild and the portions are caddywampus. Some are the right size. Some are barely snacks. One fun side note is that it shares a kitchen and seating with a Thai place, so if you can't decide as a group where you all want to go this is a good choice.

Burrito was amazing! Large and really tasty. Rest of the food was also good but nothing like that magical burrito. Agree with other reviews that service was slow though.

Echt hele goede burgers hebben ze hier. Ribs zijn ook goed op smaak. Zoete aardappel frietjes zijn lekker krokant. Mango milkshake en de home made ice teas zijn aan te raden. Altijd vriendelijke bediening en een snelle service. Je kunt er leuk aan de haven zitten op het terras.

People say that this place is good if you want to eat a Mexican tacos, but it's definitly not the case if you want to eat a Hamburger.. Basic, lots of sauce (ketchup like) and no taste, no spice.. I won't do it again

In coronatijd heb je het als ondernemer in de horeca niet makkelijk. Blijkt onze bestelling niet goed doorgekomen. Hoe kan dat nou? Shoot ze zitten in het donker want de stoppen zijn doorgeslagen. Ze bellen terug; nee nog steeds geen bezorger gezien. Wat vervelend! Excuses! Mogen we uw bestelling opnieuw maken? Pfff.. nou oké; we moeten toch eten. En dan, 20 min later: 3 vers gebakken heerlijke burgers,  mooie frietjes en nog meer heerlijks. Om het goed te maken een pot met ijs erbij van het huis! Mooi sympathiek opgelost! Wat bleek: Onze bestelling was niet goed doorgekomen wegens een storing bij het externe betalingssysteem. Dat je als ondernemer daar dan ook nog gedoe van hebt... Ordered from Tacos 2 Go this evening, the food so inconsistent. Ordered nachos tonight and they came without any beans, corn or guacamole. So inconsistent!

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is niet helemaal in balans. De prijzen zijn stevig dus daar moet ook wat tegenover staan. We hadden een hamburger en een burrito. De hamburger was spot on. De burrito kon beter. Hij was duidelijk snel in elkaar gezet. De rijst met ingrediënten waren niet goed gemengd waardoor hij bij de ene hap saai en droog was en de andere hap lekker. Hij was ook heel erg groot en dat was in dit geval niet ideaal.

Great location at the marina, easily accessible with parkingspots through the entire neighbourhood, a p&r not too far away and a busstop at about 5mins walking. Beers are a bit lacking of spontaneity though it makes sense they have the general big brand beers in a location like this. Food is great, I took the marinated salmon bowl, a tad too much sauce and the wasabi mayo wasn't spicy at all, the lettuce could be a bit fresher but the tuna is delightful.
