Delicious food, reasonably priced, but surprisingly large portions. At least my chicken sandwich was huge, and so were the mini pancakes. Lovely view and friendly service :)

We spent four days in Petten on vacation. We stayed at the beach pavilion for three of those days. Whether it was for lunch, dinner, or just a quick coffee, we were consistently satisfied. The staff was always very friendly, and the value for money was right for us. I mean, we're in the Netherlands, where prices are a bit higher than in Germany, and we're right by the sea. On top of that, you have a beautiful view of the sea :)

Outside of the holidays, not much going on, but still drank a delicious Chokomel and ate a piece of cake.

The hot chocolate is really just hot! But that's the case everywhere. But it's really good! The service is prompt and very friendly! All in all, good and satisfying!

You can take a wonderful break with a view of the sea after walks on the beach or bike rides.

Sooooo friends... I can't recommend the food here at all. None of the dishes were worth recommending...

We went for dinner yesterday with 4 adults and 3 children. Everything went smoothly when we took our order, until it was served. We had a snack platter and fries, spare ribs, and a burger for the main course. The children had a kids' menu with fries, chicken nuggets, and a pancake. The snack platter was brought out fairly quickly, but the rest didn't arrive. After repeatedly asking where the rest was, the kitchen had to make it. Finally, the rest arrived. The pancake had the wrong toppings, and the kids' menu didn't include chicken nuggets. So the children still had nothing to eat. It was very disappointing that the staff didn't even apologize. The staff wasn't paying attention to the guests at all; they were just hanging around the bar and joking around. Two stars because the food was good.

Great place, drinks were good. !!! BUT!!! Unfortunately, we couldn't order ANY food, because about half an hour after we got our drinks, no one was still willing to take our order. Then we left without eating. It's a shame, I've never experienced anything like this before. !! Hence, a bad review from me!!

Wonderful restaurant on the beach, fast service! Plenty of parking nearby. Prices are a bit high, in my opinion, but the prime location makes up for a lot!

I can't say anything about the food and drink as three service staff were apparently overwhelmed with the half-open terrace, so after about 20 minutes we decided to leave. It's a shame as what was served at the tables next to us looked pretty good.

Great entry system. People have to wait until a table is free and cleaned. Then you're shown to your table. The staff is very friendly and quick. The menu is good and the food is delicious. A 10-star rating all around. We'd love to come back.

Zee en Zo is an institution. Here you can find drinks, coffee is always good, and, of course, the food is always delicious. It's not exactly cheap, but it's also in a special location. And the sheltered view over the sea is always worth it.

We were back by the sea today and it was so good! Great place, incredibly friendly staff. It was very busy, but the staff is always friendly and very relaxed! Hope to come back often!

First of all you have to wait for a spot and when you ask for a spot by the window and you say you want to wait longer, that is not even possible. Then you are put at a table in the middle of the terrace while you see that there are still 3 spots free along the glass and when you then say why that is not possible, you get the answer that they want to give the people in the queue a fair chance. Very unfriendly person.

It's fantastic that I can now park at the Pavilion, so nice, we enjoyed it again this afternoon during the old colleagues' reunion, thank you

People literally line up for a seat there. It's like the beach pavilions popular in Holland, and the lemonade is truly awful, like some kind of instant concoction.

Very good and tasty food. The bowl and spare ribs are particularly delicious and reasonably priced.

We had a fantastic party here. The food was delicious, the service friendly and fast, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The beautiful weather allowed us to enjoy the terrace for a long time and then tuck in to dinner.

The food was quite good, but there was a bit too much meat and too little sauce for my taste. I got the Caesar salad.

Friendly service, delicious food

We went there for dinner on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't particularly attentive; we had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone even came. The food we had was unfortunately quite cold. After we were served, they were a bit more attentive. The atmosphere was really nice, and the prices are pretty reasonable, too.

We had a super fun party with delicious snacks and great service! Thank you for the lovely evening.

Simply fantastic! Highly recommended! Super friendly and helpful staff, and the food here is delicious. One minor point: the nachos were very poorly prepared and need some attention from the chef. On the other hand: very good mussels, and the "Juttersplank" (Beachcombers' Platter) is also superb! If they also started serving pints of beer in proper glasses instead of pints, they deserve 5+ stars ;-) Sidenote: our son injured himself on a piece of glass in the dunes. They immediately provided bandages and gauze to close the wound, even though it was incredibly busy. Hats off, and thanks again!

Beautiful and cozy beach bar. We've been coming here for years. Lots of food options! We always order the "Juttersplank," a delicious platter with various dishes to share! Highly recommended. Lots of craft beer to choose from! It's a lovely place with tons of choices! We think Petten aan Zee is a great spot, with a beautiful, wide, quiet beach and free parking!

Okay for the price, but nothing special. The burger and bitter garnish are on the lower end of the scale for beach restaurants. You can get much better food elsewhere for the same money.

A typical "beach shack" with outdoor seating and a larger room inside. Apparently, there's an additional floor for meetings/events, as you can see from the website. The menu is just as typical, so it almost doesn't matter which restaurant you visit: satay, hamburgers, spare ribs, fish, meat roll... The satay was okay, the sauce was tasty, the fries were unfortunately not tasty at all (and that was in a fries country), as they were light and soggy. The poffertjes were okay; it was good that the butter was provided separately and an extra sachet of powdered sugar was provided. All in all, we had 2 satays, 1 children's menu with fries, a meat roll, 1 poffertjes, and a drink, and this came to almost €100. The wait times were sometimes long, as some servers only took orders, others just brought them. The Netherlands is considerably more expensive than Germany; for that money, we could have eaten out twice at home and had better food.

A very nice place to linger! Very easy to reach via the stairs directly at the pavilion or a few meters further on, which are wheelchair accessible. The food is very tasty and the staff is very friendly. You can order both snacks and full meals. One point deducted because other pavilions are a bit more cozy, with small seating areas and lounges.

The accompanying dish is the chef's specialty, Cordon bleu. Cheese is poured over it instead of inside. However, the flavor was absolutely superb, especially the refined assortment of crispy fresh vegetables, which made it perfect. It also came with crispy, golden fries. The price-quality ratio is sublime at €24.50 for this dish.

We're already looking forward to our vacation and the beachcomber's boardwalk. We did this last year and it was a great experience.

Super delicious food, great view. The wait for the table was a bit long, but given the evening rush, it's entirely understandable and can't be considered a negative. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food arrived promptly after ordering. We are very satisfied.

We were hungry after a long walk through the dunes and the beach, and our hunger was perfectly satisfied. That picture says it all. We'd love to come back.

We had a great meal, they were there very quickly and we were helped very kindly by the staff.

A lovely place to eat. We ate at Zee&Zo twice, and both times it was almost perfect. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the food is excellent, and the view from the terrace is perfect. The prices are fair compared to many other restaurants. If we're ever in the region again, we'll be happy to come back.

Location, service, and food...everything was top-notch! Everything was perfect here; the food was delicious, and the staff were always friendly and accommodating. We had mussels, a burger, and Dame Blanche for dessert. Everything was delicious! The cutlery was served in an old tomato can, which I didn't find particularly appealing, but it doesn't detract from the 5-star rating.
