The food is okay. Typical fried food, but also good salads and burgers. The service is good. What I don't understand is why the restrooms in a restaurant with these prices have to look like this. It's incredibly frustrating. It looks like they haven't cleaned the place all day, no paper towels...

We had to wait a very long time for our food. But that wasn't a problem for us, since we were on vacation. However, upon returning to the parking lot, the long wait for our food cost us dearly. We had been there for a little over two hours (mostly waiting), and it cost us €15 per car!

The restaurant on the campsite is very nice. We each had a burger. It was very tasty and fresh. The staff was very accommodating and flexible...since I'm not allowed to eat spicy sauces, I'd happily skip it. Only the restrooms aren't great. They should be cleaned more often.

We had some delicious tapas a while ago, today we got a nice spot at the playground according to our wishes. Unfortunately more than disappointed by the food, we ordered a veggie burger and a regular one. Halfway through the veggie burger turned out to have been served with bacon on it, so one of us who hasn't eaten meat for more than 10 years turned out to have eaten half a hamburger. The shocked waitress offered us an ice cream on the house but then didn't come back at all. We left disappointed and got dessert at another restaurant.

Nice place for the kids, especially when the weather is nice so the kids can play outside. Staff are friendly and the food tasted good. Parking is free if you come to eat (ask for a ticket). Definitely recommended!

The food was tasty and more than enough. Play area for our 6 year old daughter was absolutely great. Service was nice and good. We had a great time. Definitely worth repeating with children.

Brand new, but not much. Lots of kids who are too old and hang around here out of boredom. Doesn't make it fun for the younger kids.

Scam, way too expensive and way too little food

All you can eat, chaotic is the word. 4 or 5 tables occupied and orders are still being delivered incorrectly or not at all, wondering what this would be like if the place were full. Several dishes arrive cold that should have been warm. Disappointed is the right word. One time visit unfortunately, would not recommend it to anyone.

The snipe was the end point of a 2-day beach walk. With a drink voucher from the Tours organization, I asked for the largest beer I could get. The Snipe didn't act childish and my thirst was completely quenched.

It's already expensive for what you get. And that you then wait over 45 minutes for the food to arrive, even though it was almost empty. This is our third time visiting and unfortunately it didn't get any better.

The food was so-so. The burgers were hard and the children found the Poferties too sweet and, above all, not enough.

I really didn't expect such a delicious and visually appealing meal from a campsite restaurant. I ordered the US steak medium and it was tender and cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the spare ribs and was also thrilled. Bravo for the chef👍👏

The quality of the food is below average at best (fast food quality). But far too expensive for that. Furthermore, the restaurant makes a very disorganized impression. The large scope for children is positive. The controls are unusable with 2-3 exceptions. You always have to order small portions, which are very small, but you can try different things. Basically not a bad idea, but poorly implemented. Several of the small orders were forgotten. When we asked where the orders were, they simply said that we didn't order them without even checking. Furthermore, it was said that we were fully booked, although a large number of tables were still free and remained free. This Chotic organization permeates the entire restaurant. To top it all off, the calculation was also wrong, but in our favor. But you didn't want to believe it either. So we only paid for 1 meal for 2 people and also several drinks for free. Bottom line: Far too expensive for the quality of food and not worthy of a restaurant. Some of the staff were very unfriendly. I can't make a recommendation and will steer clear of the restaurant in the future. It's a shame actually.

It would be all you “can” eat if you didn’t have to wait over an hour (!) for the first round of food. On some appetizers and fries...sorry, but it's not worth the money. We spend almost €100 here with three adults and children, so you can expect that after 10 minutes there will be at least a few fries on the table! The children are immediately too tired to eat and the parents are annoyed. The only good thing is that the children are a bit distracted by the playground.

Due to a gluten allergy I am not allowed to use the bamboo spoons, I was handed a coffee spoon, class!!

The beef burger is really not tasty, the meet was so dry and strange that I thought I got the veggie meet version. We also had the BBQ Ribs, I also wouldn’t recommend them. Also, the drinks are mini sized, I never expect XXL portions, but at least something that last for my meal (I had to order extra drinks).

Very nice restaurant. Nicely decorated and very tasty food. There is a huge outdoor games park attached to the restaurant. Very good food, good prices, very good children's entertainment.

Just a good basic map. Delicious for a 'camping snack'. Freshly made, nice staff, up for a chat. The prices are also normal. So if you have a strong appetite, this is a good place to settle down!!

Thank you. The fries are awesome. With the 🍔 I would personally fry the champions for a shorter time, they were very limp, but the rest were great.

A very nice restaurant located at a campsite. The atmosphere there is very nice and the food is very tasty. The staff is nice and friendly and accommodating, a very clean and well-kept place. It's best to go there yourself and form an opinion, I can only recommend it. 😉

Just good food, but don't set your expectations too high, with plate service such as: snitselmenu, satay menu and steak menu, but the prices are certainly reasonable.

Service top! The food was mediocre to good depending on what you ordered! But the prices are a bit expensive compared to those in Den Helder

The restaurant is terrible. Waiting time is more than an hour. Food is not what is on the menu (wrong side dishes). If you are there with several people, not everyone gets their side dish (far too little). Toilets don't work at all, right disgusting. And so expensive for these small portions. A laughing stock if it weren't so expensive. We had to eat somewhere else afterwards to get full, and that for 70 euros. Once and never again.

Very good camping/recreation restaurant, with friendly staff and the food is good. A very nice addition is the table tennis table that we like to use. All in all a nice place for a bite and a snap.

We have just spent 2 wonderful weeks at the Watersnip campsite. This gets its own rating. We ate in the restaurant 5 times during that time. There was simply no reason to look for anything else! The food was great... especially the chicken skewer with peanut sauce and the tomato soup are a dream. Everything is lovingly prepared and the restaurant is furnished with great attention to detail... cute Dutch. The service is super nice... TOP!!!! WE WILL BE BACK! !!!!

Snitzel mafia. The wiener snitzel was tasty. The amount of vegetables and fries that were served was limited. What really felt like being cheated is that we later saw that the adjacent snack bar also sold a snitzel menu for half the price and from the same kitchen.

Very nice camping and chalet place

The restaurant in De Watersnip is a cozy restaurant at a campsite in Petten. It is colorfully furnished with great attention to detail. For dinner that evening we had pork skewer, spare ribs and schnitzel. Everyone was and is very enthusiastic about the ambience, food and the staff, who were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back.

The campsite and the restaurant are simply brilliant.

Absolutely great holiday home. A little further away from the beach (approx. 1.5km), but very child-friendly entertainment, great offers in the complex. This increases the anticipation of the next vacation.
