A truly beautiful spot surrounded by nature. The food is excellent. The male waiter has a sense of humor and even comes by for a friendly chat. We'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed coffee, lunch, and a drink on the terrace in the sunshine...and that in November! Fast service and a delicious lunch. We love coming here.

The service wasn't very attentive… Even taking a table wasn't easy for the waiter… The fish stew was great!!!

Late August/early September 2019. Very nice, friendly staff, menu with German text. Drinks were served chilled. The pancakes with bacon and cheese, as well as the ham and cheese version, were very good. The tuna wrap was also delicious. I haven't seen such nice and clean restrooms in a restaurant like this for a long time. We would gladly recommend this restaurant.

Princen Keet is a great place in terms of food, atmosphere, etc. We've been going there for years. However, I do have a problem with dogs being allowed inside. The last time we were there, there were no fewer than six large dogs with a characteristic wet dog smell, which really spoiled my appetite.

Spacious terrace, friendly service, good prices. The food was okay, a bit dry. Apart from the dunes, you hardly notice you're practically on the beach. If that's what you're looking for, you're better off walking a bit further.

Not bad, but it could be better. Gluten-free, but not very imaginative. It was good for the other diners, though. The background music could be a bit quieter.

Highly recommended, delicious food, everything freshly prepared

We ate there last year, and the quality, taste, value, and staff were all consistently excellent. It's also dog-friendly; there are no restrictions on their access to the restaurant, and water is always available for our pets. The location is excellent, right near the beach, which is very beautiful.

Today, after visiting the beach, we wanted to have a drink at the Princenkeet. Upon arrival, we immediately sat down at the beginning of the terrace. It looked cozy. But after fifteen minutes, we finally approached someone to ask if we could finally order something. The man said, "You only have to order drinks and food from a colleague." ?????????? Okay. We waited for a colleague after ordering Aperol Spritz at the first two. After a while, we approached someone again to ask for a portion of bitterballen and a small ice cream. A small ice cream wasn't an option, but a children's ice cream was allowed??????? As if that's NOT a small ice cream. The Alperol was brought, which the first employee did very correctly. But half the glass looked like water. The bottle of Aperol had gone down the drain. He returned with two scoops of ice cream in a neat glass container and asked with a stone-face if I wanted a spoon. I almost wanted to say no, I'll just lick it from the bowl. When we left, my wife paid inside, as portable ATMs certainly haven't caught on in large restaurants yet. A good 11 euros each for a weak imitation of what's supposed to be an Aperol. Outrageous. We come to this place quite often, but this was clearly the last time.

We had a shift from 5:15 to 7:15 PM, which suddenly became 5:00 to 7:00 PM. After that, no one took our table. The food was terrible: the salad was wilted, the brownie was way too dry, and the pasta had no flavor. The price-to-product ratio was completely out of whack. Overpriced. Not recommended; I'll never go there again.

We arrived at 3:30 PM, and before we even sat down, the bartender asked what we'd like and if we had reservations (there were two people there). We suggested we'd have a drink and perhaps a sandwich. He then started making a fuss, and we were offered a table at a vegetable garden. Other tables were already set, and it was difficult to clear them—difficult, difficult! We then left! Customer service was nonexistent!

We had lunch on Sunday. It's just a short walk from the Lekker naar Zee cottages in Callantsoog. Both the waiter from Groningen and the waitress were engaging, asking, "What can I do for you? Is everything to your liking?" Carpaccio and the monthly chicken shawarma menu were perfectly prepared. The price-quality ratio is excellent. Highly recommended.

We just wanted a quick bite to eat on a bike tour while on vacation. So we ordered the Cappricio… what can I say… it was a real hit in terms of both taste and appearance. Add to that the very friendly and accommodating staff (although that seems to be the norm in the Netherlands 😊).

Years ago, I worked at this location when it was then called "Het Duinpannetje" (The Duinpan), opened. I thought it would be nice to return to what is now the Princen Shack. First, I noticed that the snack bar side is completely gone. It's a shame because there are a lot of people walking by who would appreciate a quick snack or ice cream. I didn't find it child-friendly. I was sitting on the patio with my one-year-old daughter. There was no high chair in sight (and none were offered). I asked if I could order a single frikandel (which wasn't possible). I ended up ordering expensive fries for €5 without sauce, which my daughter only ate a few of. The salmon and chicken panini were warm. I was surprised that it was served warm for lunch. The taste was good, though. The prices are a bit high for what you get. I won't be eating here again anytime soon.

We were here for lunch. The food was good, but not great. The pulled pork wasn't very flavorful. The service was super fast and friendly. It's a great place.

Atmospheric restaurant beautiful flowers in restaurant and also beautiful terrace. Nice staff. Had 12 o'clock, very tasty although next time I will take white bread instead of brown, with table companion had sandwiches twice as big (in restaurant nothing said by the way)

The place is fine and the food is decent, but the kitchen is super slow. Waiting for a simple lunch for over 40 minutes while the terrace wasn't even full yet. It also turns out that the bread is so poorly toasted that it is rock hard. No next time for us.

Food was okay, tables outside should be replaced, bird droppings have no place on the tables. Unfortunately, the service was unmotivated, didn't show up for a long time, would even use the word "lame" :) I think it's a real shame, it could have been a nice visit.

The rustic restaurant near the beach is very inviting in the dunes. It impresses with its playful maritime beach flair. You can enjoy the good weather on the wind-protected terrace or warm up in the rustically furnished indoor area. The food is really delicious, but it also has its price - typical for tourism. When it comes to drinks, I would definitely advise against the cocktails and would rather point to the solid beer selection or a wine, otherwise you will probably be disappointed.

We were there for dinner at the end of March. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and offers a large terrace, which we unfortunately couldn't use as it was still too cold for that. The food was very tasty, as was the wine.

It seemed like a nice place for a fresh drink on a warm Saturday afternoon. There were some people on the terrace, but after waiting 30 minutes while the waiters deliberately looked away, we had had enough. We continued without a drink. Shame…

Cozy place, food is ok, some (more junior) staff are nice, but the more senior staff are rude and aggressive, have zero empathy and don't understand anything about hospitality. Just because you are the only open tent in the area does not mean that you can treat your guests like that. Disappointing experience.

How nice the large Groote Keeten has a restaurant, even if it is behind the dunes, that is open all year round. I felt very comfortable here and will come again.

Our favorite restaurant in North Holland

Be careful, just go without children. The boss was visibly annoyed when we went in with 4 adults and 3 children. He insisted that we tell him if 2 other adults who were still on the beach were joining us. Since I couldn't answer his question and he was becoming increasingly unfriendly, I asked him if we should leave. He then said: “That’s probably better!”. He is an absolutely unfriendly person and was extremely disrespectful towards us.

Very cozy and an excellent burger!

Location, ambience and service was really great. The starter (bread and dip) was good. Main courses (salmon and plaice) a bit too sober. No surprise in terms of taste. I expected more, especially given the prices.

Our dog felt very comfortable here, and so did we.

My favorite restaurant in the Noordkop, incredibly friendly service, good and tasty portions for an affordable price! Highly recommended for anyone who wants a good meal in a beautiful location against the dunes.

Short stop on our bike tour. We had a little drink. The food (didn't eat anything) looks good visually and smells very good too. Quiet little restaurant just before the dune. Sat outside with the sun in November too. Groote Keeten is a slightly smaller, quiet place.

We have always really enjoyed going here. The general popularity seems to have gone to the operators' heads: prices have exploded in recent years, the quality of the food is declining (when ordered medium fried, the meat was completely cooked through and cork-dry) and the service is increasingly superficial. Very unfortunate!!!

The first visit was really great. Nice service, delicious food The second time, despite reservations, we weren't really welcome. We were assigned a mini table in the entrance, in the passage, with 2 dogs. Despite the empty restaurant. We then went to another restaurant.

The last shift from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM was too busy...we had to wait an hour for our food. The lettuce straight into the bowl without dressing... We were there on Friday evening.

Quality of ingredients substandard in relation to the prices charged

We had lunch with two people. The food, especially the soup of the day, was great. The service is absolutely on point. You didn't sit dry for a second. Price/performance TOP. Highly recommended. Food is freshly prepared and served very tastefully. A restaurant that we would like to visit again. Special: the service station for the four-legged friends. Refilling water for the walk to or from the beach is no problem. Dogs are also well looked after here.

Nothing to complain about. Staff could have been a little friendlier. Cutlery was forgotten. Prices a bit high but usual for the area.

Spontaneous decision and a great shady spot at 30 degrees. Great menu in newspaper format in German. And the food was very tasty, fresh and, as we all know, the eye eats with...Top recommendation!! If we hadn't been in transit, we would like to do it again...

Nice place, but that's all. We were eating with 6 people and are really not demanding, but that didn't work at all! 3 people ate the "Indian" paratha. This only tasted spicy, nothing else. Spices were completely missing, even the salt. Vegetables and rice were cooked without salt. 2 ate the burger. I've never seen a patty like this! It was square and flat. The bacon on top isn't nearly crispy. Fries cold, burgers too. The 6th person was lucky that “Runder stoofvlees” tasted good! For the prices they charge there, it's really outrageous! The first and last time for us!

Always enjoyed eating at this restaurant, have been coming to Callantsoog for a number of years now. Unfortunately poor service and experience tonight. Ordered medium rare ribeyes, which were served well done at the table. After this was passed on to the kitchen, a new one was given in its place. However, with the second round of ribeyes that we reserved, one was so raw that pieces were still frozen in the middle. This was pointed out again. Instead of an apology, all we received was a response that “this is what we wanted.” No compensation or apologies. The server's mouth is very loud, enough for the other guests at the table to also stop eating. The last time for us, too bad.

We had several children in this restaurant, but it was very difficult to find child-friendly dishes. Adjustments to the dishes were not taken into consideration and things were forgotten, such as the lack of gratin and the fries that were not replaced by rice and were charged extra afterwards. The prices were very high, with an Aperol Spritz for example costing €11.60. Moreover, we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food, and not a single dish really convinced us.

What a wonderfully peaceful place. That is rare in the Netherlands these days. The food and service are superb.

I was here for the first time this week and ate fries and drank a Coke. Unfortunately the fries were nothing. In addition, I got a lot of fries that had been in the deep fryer for a long time. I don't want to have things like that on my plate at a time when I really have to pay a lot. The food at the other tables looked fantastic, the atmosphere outside and inside was really nice and the service was great (nice and fast).

Tonight my wife and I had dinner at De Princen KEET for the first time, and it was fantastic. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, which immediately gave us a warm feeling. The food was delicious and prepared with great care. The flavors were exquisite and the presentation beautiful. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and atmospheric, which contributed to the pleasant experience. The Princen KEET has exceeded our expectations. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!
