On a stormy, rainy day, we stopped by the Posthoorn. The kitchen wasn't open, so we ordered fish and satay platters. We started with curry or tomato soup. Everything was excellent: the space, the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Reasonably priced.

Brioche pulled chicken is delicious! And the parasols really add a nice touch to the patio—a good choice by the manager.

The restaurant De Posthoorn has a fantastic location, right on a charming square near the church. This creates a wonderful atmosphere, especially on a beautiful day. Unfortunately, our food experience was less positive. The pastries we ordered seemed a bit old and weren't fresh, which was a shame. The espresso was also a disappointment. While it had the right color, it lacked any flavor or body. The location is great, but the quality of what was served was unfortunately disappointing.

Regarding soft ice cream. They (now) charge top dollar for a cone, but tapping a normal soft ice cream seems like too much to ask. Some girls give a great ice cream and some don't. I hear several people complain about this, both around me and at the counter itself. And when you complain about this, "the boss", a woman, is downright rude to the customers. I think people do understand the fact that everything is getting more expensive and that entrepreneurs have to go along with that, but that doesn't mean you can fob off your customers with a soft ice cream that is 2-3cm high. Shame on you, what is this about?!

Friendly and old-fashioned good

Had a very nice lunch. we celebrated my mother's birthday here with her relatives.

Good, but side dish portions are a bit small for larger groups. Any additional side dishes ordered were charged separately. Eating from one small bowl of vegetables for four people is a bit tight. A beautiful bouquet of flowers, though!

Christmas dinner picked up at the posthoorn. Super tasty food. More than enough quantity. Neatly packaged with clear instructions. Great, compliments to the chef!!

We had a high tea with 3 people, I thought it was very disappointing, it was 1 plank with what it seemed like a high tea thrown together for 75 euros, which I thought was on the high side for what we got. I also thought we were a bit tucked away in the conservatory.

A bit old fashioned, ate a dessert that I wasn't very impressed with.

The food was fine, but the service was excellent! There was some crowds inside and on the terrace. Yet our waitress was more than friendly, decisive and pleasant. We enjoyed it immensely.

Everything ok but the portions of fries should be looked after (at least the man).

Sit comfortably on the terrace with a delicious grilled vegetable sandwich and fresh mint tea.

Coincidentally, one of the busiest days of the year was chosen at a famous West Frisian market. A full terrace. Nevertheless, I was able to order all this within 5 minutes. Fast and hospitable service.

During our visit to Schagen we stopped here for a drink. The service was completely inattentive, our table was not wiped even at our request, only the dishes from the previous person were reluctantly cleared away. You also need perseverance to place another order. You can do it, but it doesn't have to be.

Beautiful, centrally located on the square with the church in Schagen. Delicious coffee. Apple pie with real whipped cream, no mess, nicely served. Nice staff. With terrace, but sat inside due to weather conditions, nice atmosphere. Recommended!

I had lunch here with my aunt, which we have done here before. We got drinks pretty quickly, then we wanted to order lunch so I raised my hand. She didn't look, until after 30 minutes my aunt started shouting that we wanted help. The owner was just talking to people and didn't come and ask, would you like to have lunch too? I thought the girl was too expectant. Too bad, other times things go so well

We were there for lunch today. Had a very nicely presented "Twalveuurteje" with fresh tomato soup, croquettes and beef carpaccio and 2 pieces of bread for 12 euros. We sat in the beautiful winter garden and were served very nicely.

Had a super delicious meal on March 24. The sea bass is highly recommended and the vegetarian curry is very tasty. If there is a shortage of potatoes, vegetables or salad, they will be replenished very neatly (and free of charge). You don't experience this everywhere anymore. We hebben een nieuw menu gehad toen we de verjaardag van een familie lid vierde. Het was een assortiment van kleine gerechten. Er waren drie gangen, aperitieven, hoofdmenu 's en desserts . De service was goed en vriendelijk. Het eten was smakelijk en de zaak was sfeervol aangekleed.

Prachtig uitzicht op de markt en de kerk. Het eten is prima, het personeel aardig.

Gisteren met de 86ste verjaardag van mijn schoonmoeder hier gegeten met de familie. 18 personen, ietwat luidruchtig maar geen probleem. Alles was top geregeld, van drinken tot eten tot nagerecht. Leuk personeel, niks was teveel. Echt een aanrader!!

Leuk restaurantje met een mooi terrasje waar je bij goed weer lekker in het zonnetje kan zitten of in de schaduw van de parasol. Ik heb hier een heerlijke maaltijd salade met geitenkaas gegeten en m’n vrouw een goed gebakken zalmmoot. De kaart is klein maar de keuze lijkt m’n gemaakt te hebben voor kwaliteit boven kwantiteit dat te proeven is. De kleine kaart bied toch ruim voldoende keuze voor eenieder. Ondanks dat er één dame de bediening deed hoefden we nergens lang op te wachten, ze had alles prima onder controle. Wat ons betreft een toppertje, een aanwinst voor Schagen.

Prima eten. Prima gelegenheid om heerlijk te dineren tegen een redelijke prijs.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Von außen klassisch, innen modern und stilvoll. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, perfekt gewürzt. Der Service sehr nett, zuvorkommend und wirklich zeitlich gut getimed. Die Karte ist schön übersichtlich und trotzdem vielseitig. Und: hier gehen viele einheimische Personen essen, ein sehr guter Tipp!

Was gisteren (13-07) erg druk maar de bediening bleef vriendelijk en de bestellingen kwamen evengoed vlot door. Chapeau Posthoorn

Man sitzt herrlich an einer Ecke des Kirchplatz und kann sich das Gewusel dort ansehen. Bedienung super freundlich und aufmerksam. Kaffee lecker. Gegessen haben wir hier nicht.

Kom uit Willemstad. Na jaren weer terug, bezoek aan de Posthoorn . Zelfde eigenaar. Personeel geweldig, eten super. Geweldig drankje voor ons gemaakt. Bedankt team jullie waren super aardig.
