The food was delicious, and the service was very sweet and friendly. Not very cheap, but for the quality of the food, it is definitely recommended!

Ate a delicious schnitzel. The food was perfectly fine. What is really bizarre, though, is that when paying, they said the card machine wasn't working and asked if we could pay in cash. I stuck with the card payment. He just walked to the back for a moment and came back with the card machine. So, absolutely nothing was wrong. The next morning at the hotel, several of us were talking about it, and everyone who had eaten there was told the same thing. It is very striking. They want to accept cash even though the card works. Don't fall for this and just pay by card. I suspect that cash isn't being put into the till. Otherwise, the food there is delicious.

What a disappointing experience. The carpaccio was tasteless and the pork in the pork satay was tasteless. The satay sauce tasted anything but satay sauce and was almost colorless. The owner was only focused on one table, I think to please those people. In short, we will never visit this restaurant again when we are in Callantsoog.

Initially, we were unable to order food because, according to the staff, it was not possible. When we indicated what we wanted, it suddenly turned out to be possible after all. The food was subsequently on the table within a few minutes, but was clearly not well prepared. The fries were undercooked, so we left them. The pancake was also very pale, soggy, and undercooked. For us, this was a major disappointment. We will not be returning here. It is better to go to a place that focuses on a smaller menu, but where the food is actually prepared well.

Expensive! Cardboard container of grated cheese instead of Parmesan. We went inside because a sign on the facade advertised a half chicken dish for a good price. Once inside, it turned out they didn't have it. We told them they'd be better off taking that advertisement off the sign. However, communication with the wait staff had to be in English, so the message didn't get across. We had already ordered a drink, so we decided to stay seated after all. The salmon pasta was delicious, but if the menu says 'Parmesan cheese,' you expect a small bowl of freshly grated cheese from the block, not a 'supermarket' container of grated cheese (not a single grain of Parmesan)!! Come on, I'm not eating a pancake with a container of powdered sugar. It looked a lot like that. The spare ribs were delicious. The very friendly cook even asked if they were cooked properly. The waiter himself remained a bit surly and kept an eye on us from the bar the whole time. It was quiet (and that in the high season!), so he had little to do, but then you shouldn't keep watching your guests all the time. Again, the food was very good, but relatively speaking, it was really very expensive. Spareribs for €32..

Recommendation: Caesar salad, unfortunately the pine nuts were missing (listed on the menu). Still, it was delicious!

We had a lovely time sitting on the terrace with a drink, delicious fresh orange juice. The service is top-notch, a super nice man. He does speak English... but we managed just fine. Very clean tables and the toilets are clean and tidy too. We will definitely be back!

We ate there because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, we can't understand them. The prices were exorbitant for the cheap food. The fries were tasty, and the service was friendly. We won't be back. What a shame!

We visited this restaurant on July 1st, 2026, because I wanted to eat fresh plaice. Let me start with the positives: The restaurant was clean and the service was very friendly, that's all. Now for the negatives: The plaice was certainly fresh at some point, but it had been a while. The side dish, thawed green beans with carrot slices, didn't improve the taste either. My wife's rib-eye steak was supposed to be cooked medium. When it arrived, I felt sorry for the animal; the so-called steak was overcooked. Incidentally, in my opinion, it would have been better suited for soup. So, if you're looking for a culinary adventure, you should visit this restaurant. Those who want a good, tasty meal should look elsewhere. I've uploaded the bill as proof of our visit.

Unfortunately disappointing for the price. We tried this restaurant, but we definitely won't be coming back. The price-performance ratio is simply not right; the food is overpriced. The quality of the food was average at best, which is annoying enough considering the prices. On top of that, my frozen vegetables were served completely cold. Even worse: the fish wasn't cooked through – which is absolutely unacceptable, especially with fish. To top it all off, the wait was far too long, even though the restaurant didn't seem particularly busy. The service was pleasant and friendly. In short: A waste of money, we don't recommend it.

There were three of us, two of whom received the wrong wine. Then the main courses arrived; we had ordered one sole and two Nile perch. Two soles and one Nile perch arrived. The owner tried to see if anyone might want the sole instead of the Nile perch, but we weren't in the mood for that. He said he would prepare fresh Nile perch in 10 minutes, gratinated with cheese. When it was served, it was still raw. After a long wait, the owner came and said he could put it back in the oven. We didn't want to wait any longer for that, as two people had long since finished eating. With some reluctance, the dish was removed from the bill. There was no compensation offered, for example by replacing the wine. Even upon leaving, there was no glance or greeting from the owner. Never again for us!!

We visited 4 Season in Callantsoog again after a long time. The restaurant definitely stands out from the others in Callantsoog. Great service, very nice atmosphere. Good menu, delicious food served in style. Keep up the good work!

We had a delicious lunch from the dinner menu. I chose a tender ribeye with peppercorn sauce and my wife the grilled salmon with dill sauce. It was served with warm vegetables and fries. The chef added a red wine sauce as an extra. It was a substantial piece of meat and fish. We didn't choose a starter or dessert because our main course was already enough for us. As far as I'm concerned, we will definitely eat there again. Highly recommended!!

We had a delicious meal (sea bass), even though it was only 3:30 pm, and we were still able to choose from the dinner menu. Very friendly service. Finally, a restaurant that serves warm vegetables. We will definitely be back.

The food was disastrous. The pasta wasn't freshly cooked, but reheated. There was hardly any sauce, and it was more oil than anything else. The salad was brown. It was truly the worst meal the four of us have ever eaten.

Italian feel, retro, attentive and friendly service. The meal took a while but was worth it! The whole sea bass (boneless) was spectacular, the vegetables were crisp and lemony, and perfectly complemented. We'd gladly return!

The food looked like it came from a freezer, and the "250 gram Angus Beef Burger" turned out to be a vegan burger (see photo). The frozen vegetables, which were clearly from a commercial kitchen, tasted awful, and the shrimp hadn't been cleaned. The sole was horribly bad. I can't recommend it.

We arrived a little late for dinner. Nevertheless, we received a very warm welcome and were immediately shown to our table. We ordered pasta. It was incredibly delicious! We all enjoyed it wonderfully. The service was very friendly and the waitress was always there to say goodbye.

We had the diamond steak (such a fantastic piece of meat, actually two, I haven't had one in a long time) and the Nile perch fillet. Both were perfect! We were very impressed and would gladly come back. The service was also very attentive. The prices have increased, as in every restaurant, but they're perfectly acceptable for the quality of the food.

We dined here on Monday afternoon, July 28, 2025, and were warmly and kindly welcomed by the outgoing owner, Ayman Khamis. I'd just read a very negative review criticizing his chicken skewers, which surprised me because the chicken skewers we ordered looked beautifully presented. My chicken skewer was delicious, well-cooked, not dry, and delightfully not overly seasoned. The same was true for my friend's Spanish skewer, which came with delicious vegetables. The vegetables served with my skewer tasted slightly roasted, which, after asking, was confirmed. They were also deliciously seasoned, not a limp, overcooked mess. I had a hard time choosing between a bite of chicken or the vegetables. My friend couldn't finish her chicken, and I certainly didn't mind! The fries and mayo were perfectly fine. Well-prepared, delicious food deserves a reasonable price, which, unfortunately, I can't afford every day. I'm deducting one star for the atmosphere because I felt the waiter was too hasty (he was like, "Hurry up, decide, it's taking too long," even though we only briefly discussed the matter) and greeted us in German, even though it was clearly audible that we were Dutch. I'd say: Ayman, thanks, it was delicious, as you'll see! P.S. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a picture of the food; we'd been cycling for three hours and were hungry 😜👌🏼

We were at the 4 Seasons in Callantsoog today. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been served such bad food in my life. I can't even say I ate it because I left everything unfinished. The schnitzel had the consistency and taste of it having been reheated in the deep fryer the day before. The frozen vegetables weren't even hot, and the fries were abysmally bad. Lukewarm and completely saturated with grease. The waitress didn't speak a word of English, so the manager had to help. Neither of them was friendly, and after we complained about the food, he just shrugged his shoulders. As we left, we only received dirty looks. We left without a word. As for the prices, all I can say is: Absolutely abysmal. 😡🤢

I can only agree with Hans Steinberg, it's an absolute disgrace. While my Caesar salad was at least edible, although a bit out of place as it was garnished with a lot of oil and a bit of vinegar as well as countless cheap olives, my wife's Wiener Schnitzel was inedible, along with cold frozen vegetables and greasy fries, all with two beers and an Aperol Spritz for €82.50. The waiter (presumably the boss) just shrugged off our comment about the food, no apology etc. ... so never again 4 Seasons

Too expensive. Frozen vegetables were unseasoned and completely inedible. Spare ribs were okay, kibbeling and French fries were also good. But that's not enough. Never again.

Ordered toasted sandwiches and coffee with the family (promotion for 6 euros) In itself a good price. Service consisted of a lady and gentleman of foreign origin (poor English speaking) A lot went wrong and not only with us. A couple already left dissatisfied during the time we were there. Asked 3 times what we had ordered. Then arrived with the wrong drinks and got toasted sandwiches that were practically cold and which you can make better yourself at home in your own sandwich maker. An embarrassing intention. The lady serving walked around completely confused and had no idea what to do. The gentleman radiated in everything that he did not feel like it that day. When paying we got an incorrect bill. Indicated that we wanted to pay the correct amount but not this amount. Then the gentleman was very rude. Eventually paid the correct amount. Not recommended!

They were accompanied by a crisp salad, crispy fries, a variety of delicious sauces, and fresh bread – all lovingly prepared. The portion was truly generous, ideal for two people. The service was also consistently top-notch: extremely courteous, attentive, and warm. The chef deserves special mention; he's not only very personable, but also works in the kitchen himself – you can tell by the results! The kitchen is open to view and spotlessly clean, which gave us a very good impression. The ambience was equally inviting: clean, tastefully decorated, and pleasantly quiet. For €60 for mussels for two people, the value for money is absolutely spotless. Conclusion: Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back! Sascha & Sandra

Such a meal at this price is a disgrace. Victoria perch fillet baked with cheese and vegetables, the vegetables came from the freezer and were simply heated. No taste at all for €32.50. Bread for €4.50. 3 beers for €25.50. No wonder there were only two customers on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was so cold inside that the waiter was wearing a heavy vest.

We went there twice just to have a drink and were served very friendly both times, dogs are also welcome. On our penultimate day of vacation we decided to have something to eat there and were not disappointed! The food is fresh and very tasty! The wait staff is always in a good mood and always has a smile on their faces. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Callantsoog.

Ate outside on the terrace. Not very busy. Uncomfortable. The service was in English and extremely polite and friendly. The food was delicious. Started with the nacho with cheese and as a main course salmon and I had ribeye. Both more than sufficient and warm. You have to make sure there are no privateers on the coast every now and then.

The restaurant is very spacious inside and the toilets are good (no soap, but not all needs can always be met 🤣). Let's get to the food...the plaice fillet was quite small, but the vegetables (looked like frozen) were quite al dente to raw. The plaice on the second plate was the worst thing we've had on our plate in the last 10 years. A mixture of limp, crispy and hard with dry fish...I don't know how it works. The fries...it's hard to make something simple really good. Given the prices, you would definitely expect something different. I don't think I've eaten so badly since the turn of the millennium. The service…unfortunately it doesn't get any better. Really can't recommend it.

There were 5 of us eating there today with a dog. We were totally thrilled. Everything tasted perfectly. What was eaten was a beef fillet, a rib-eye steak (both were fried exactly as requested), a plaice fillet, a pollack fillet and once spare ribs (the marinade was excellent). As a starter there was a crab salad and once grilled prawns on salad and once nachos (super tasty). The price was a bit higher but the food was really perfect. Not to mention the super friendly and attentive service. Many many thanks.

We went to the restaurant for dinner for the first time today. We were welcomed and served very pleasantly by the service. The food was excellent. My wife had pork tenderloin with vegetables and fries. I had chicken fillet with vegetables. Both were very tasty and very well seasoned. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and there is enough space for the other tables. We will be back.

Super dingy shop, sticky table, decorations dusty, the pasta was okay to a certain extent but nothing more, the highlight is the Parmesan from the can on the table and the fuckbox instead of the served stuff, with the prices you're better off going two shops away!

Today we had dinner at 4 Seasons with seven people. Each of us had a different dish and we were all very satisfied. The service was extremely good. There were even additional small gifts from the kitchen free of charge. Keep it up ! We will be happy to come back next time.

The restaurant is definitely recommended. We were served quickly and very attentively. The Kibbeling menu (350g) with fries, salad and two sauces (mayonaise and tartar sauce) for €22.80 was reasonably priced, fresh, really tasty and a decent portion. Gladly again.
