My soul aches to visit this place every time I see it, hear its name mentioned, or even just see a post on social media. It’s like returning to the womb for me, the owner Simon (Simmon) is one of life’s characters, knowledgeable, funny and respectful to all, talents that are seamlessly passed onto the the staff that all seem to have been there for years. The draught beers ever changing, the cellar list is a tome and the atmosphere is like magic, it’s simply inimitable. Sit outside and soak up central Amsterdams bustling or sit inside and be anywhere you want, order the smoked mussels, enjoy the beer and listen to chatter.

Great beer list. Good service depends of the waiter & moment of the day. But a waiter that doesn’t let me serve my own beer is not a waiter!!!! If you close at 1pm you don’t stop serving at 12.10am!!!!

After waiting a long time, I tried to order a beer in Dutch. The waiter assumed we would order in English. When we spoke to the man in Dutch, he looked at us as if we were crazy, instead of simply acknowledging that he didn't speak Dutch.

We visited this brewery, which offers an excellent selection of beers. The atmosphere is very welcoming and quaint, with both indoor and outdoor seating, which truly gives you the feel of a real brewery. The owners are always friendly and polite, a common feature in the Netherlands. The only negative is the beer accompaniments: you can't order fries, but we were only served a bag of store-bought, uncooked potatoes.

An awesome shop that offers explosions of flavors to anyone who visits and trusts it, because inside it hides flavors and aromas that will surprise you. In particular, if you let yourself go and become a little bit of a pie like us, you will have a great time without a doubt. Stay healthy!

I came in from bright sunshine to the darkened classic interior of the old establishment. My eyes could not adjust and struggling to read the chalk descriptions of various beers, I asked the barman for a light refreshing brew. He expertly channelled a few questions to narrow things down..."pils or weissbier? Sweet or dry? Hoppy or fruity? He then drew a glass of perfectly matched dry, clear, hoppy and bitter liquid from the Jever brewery near the Friesland border. As close to what I wanted as having a suit of clothes fitted for me. I shan't even try to read through the beer menu here in future...just ask the expert.

Your adventure would not be complete without a visit or two. Super knowledgeable owner, Simon, and staff will talk beer all day long. I wanted to drink some beer before going home, so I stopped by here for the first time. Not only are they stocking bottles and cans, but they also have a great selection of draft beer! When I entered the store and turned around, there was a blackboard above the entrance, and when I visited this time, there were 18 types of Dutch beer. I ordered number 17, a hazy IPA called Garage. It had a citrus aroma, bitterness, and a rich flavor, making it the perfect final drink. If I had room in my stomach, I would have had another drink, but one was enough for me this time. I'd like to come back next time for a proper drink.

Came across this pub randomly while traveling in Amsterdam. Thankfully, it was a quiet time, so the hostess was able to spend some time explaining the various options and providing great detail about the beers available. The pub does feel a bit tucked away, but I think it adds to its charm. Getting to sip and people watch in this quaint spot was very relaxing. Would definitely recommend giving this pub a visit for a great selection of beers.

Great! Large selection of absolute craft beer masterpieces. I've tried beers here that I had not had before. If you like carefully selected cider, this place is also for you! Decor a bit raw, but it makes the place even more extraordinary. Great time! Lots of local lads, some local footbal fans which is a plus. Will definitely come back!

The staff here were really friendly and helpful. I’m not an expert when it comes to beer, but they took the time to explain the options and helped me pick something I actually enjoyed. Ended up having two really good beers. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to just relax. They also have a huge selection of beers, so there’s definitely something for everyone. If you’re craving a good beer and want to hang out in a comfortable place, this is a solid choice.

Personally I like a bit of background music so that's why I only rated 5 stars on atmosphere. The atmosphere was very pleasant though having said that. The beer selection was really good and the lady behind the bar was very knowledgeable whilst recommending beers. I prefer Porters so was pleased to find a caramel fudge porter which was delicious. We didn't eat here so can't rate the food. Would definitely recommend this place 😋🍺

This place truly made us feel like locals! The staff was super kind in knowing we were from out of town. They made great recommendations (especially for someone like me who doesn’t really drink beer) and the snacks were outstanding!!! I’d love to return again!
