We were pleasantly surprised by this place. It's a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere. Only Dutch beer on tap and in bottles. A ridiculously large selection. It's a great place. We'll definitely be back. It's incredibly cozy.

Just a fun little pub! Stopping by during the Christmas Eve Christmas Light Festival was a good choice.

As beer lovers, this is a must visit in Amsterdam!!! Lovely staff, incredible beer lineup, and they even have cheese plates if you're hungry.

Came there to drink beer. We found tables downstairs that accommodated our group just fine! We were met with a brilliant server who had recommendations for beers for us to try. Beer prices were good as well! I got spilled on, server got a clean soapy rag for me, which might have saved my beige trousers from being stained by a dark ale. A huge thank you to our server, forgot your name sir, sorry.

Great ambiance and even better beer selection, with 52 different beers on tap, true brown bar with wood panelling and brass pipes. Quirky waiter that finish their newspapers before acknowledging you add to that experience. Definitely would go back again!

Four of us popped in here for a drink whilst wandering about the city. Like a lot of the bars, it's busy and has a great atmosphere where everyone seems to chat to each other and share stories. The staff know their beers that's for sure and they were happy to provide recommendations on request which is good because there is so much to choose from! We didn't eat but the food looked delicious!

I spent four days in Amsterdam 13 years ago, and this bar became my go-to spot. I'm Belgian, and it was here that I discovered many Dutch beers are at least as good as ours. Special mention to the barrel-aged Trappe!

Come here if you like to taste beers from different parts of mainly Europe. The service is really good, you can taste the beers before ordering a full glass. The place is a little bit small on the ground floor, so if you go on a busy time of the day, it will be super noisy - I think it’s one of the bad things of the place. However they have place to sit downstairs. Not perfect because of size and noise but definitely a great place to try different beers. Note: they serve cold food like grill wurst or olives, so don’t expect to drink and eat.

This place is 5 star awesome, no question. Every beer is Dutch. They clearly look after the beers as they are all in great condition. The staff are knowledgeable, multi lingual and super helpful. And if you need it, there are some great sausages and cheeses for snacks. Wish I lived here, it's that good

A great beer bar with a TON of choice. Staff is friendly and know their beers. It's not a cheap place, but I definitely recommend it if you're a beer lover. We had fun and tasted some special brews. Definitely coming back.

Huge selection of draft beers from pilsner to IPAs and stouts. Something for everyone

Simple food. Only has cold dishes so can't write more. The cold dishes were popular and the one we ordered was good. We were mainly there to drink beer. They have many different types which were very good. The staff was very helpful. I tried their jeenever which was very nice. I will be back.

Wonderful!!! If you're passing through, stop by for a nice beer...there are over 50 on the menu. I recommend a nice Gerardus Triopel. Amazingly good. The atmosphere is really nice. You won't be disappointed.

Prices are quite reasonable for Amsterdam. The bartenders are polite, friendly, and always helpful. My favourite place in Amsterdam. A cosy, welcoming environment with a great selection of beer and great service. My husband and I come here as many times as possible each time we come to Amsterdam. It feels like a neighbourhood establishment but is welcoming to all.

A very quaint pub offering plenty of draft beer. The ambiance also feels historic, rather than the increasingly common place that's been bought and patched together. But beware: I was led here by ChatGPT, who claimed that they serve particularly good bitterballen. That's not the case; there's simply nothing to eat.

It's a shame it's so far away, otherwise this would definitely have become my new local pub. They have a huge selection of (craft) beers, and what I really appreciated was that the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. They're happy to offer advice and talk about the beers with enthusiasm. If I'm ever in Amsterdam again, I'll definitely be back!

One of the best pubs I’ve been to in Amsterdam. The tap list is great and the food options are also very nice. Prices are regular. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is also the first stop of the MoreBeer beer tour of Amsterdam. Definitely worth a shot!

Wonderful selection of Dutch beers and amazing cheese platter for snacking. If you have time there is 3 additional bars that collaborate in a one day challenge of tasting a beer all 4 bars for a free shirt. It was a fun way to try the local bars and take back a souvenir from our trip.

Very wierd place with a extreamly bad service. I guess this pub is only for locals. I come there and there is like only 2 workers who serves 50+ people And when you speak with them, they ignore you. Never gonna back again...

Phenomenal craft beer spot in historic Amsterdam specialized in Dutch offerings. Nicely curated selection, offering around 50 draft beer rotating options. They cover a great gamut of styles, contemporary and classic pours, with special releases in a nicely maintained set up. They also have some selected bottles and cans, and a few designated offerings that can be taken to go. Snack food in the form of charcuterie and cheese boards offer plenty of Netherlands options. Portions are generous and tasty. The venue´s decor has a classic copper and wood feel with some breweriana. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed with indoor and outdoor seating by the canal. Staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and affable. They offer courteous sample pours to explore some options, and do know the craft and hospitality business very well. I saw bartenders being exemplary, courteous, and very professional managing with dexterity and elegance the rare potentially difficult patron. The pub is part of a group that has other venues associated around town with a more international range of ales. The specialization of this one into the Dutch craft beer scene is very notable, offering a very enjoyable insight into their brews. It's a compulsory stop for the Amsterdam visit.
