Uncomplicated, warm, and wonderfully relaxed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Café Pollux was a real gem of a discovery for us in Amsterdam. Even as we walked by, the terrace caught our eye, and we thought, "Let's just sit down." It was definitely the right decision. What we remember most fondly was the exceptionally friendly and welcoming nature of the staff. No stiff or forced service, just pleasantly uncomplicated – we simply felt at home. On top of that, the prices were really reasonable and fair for Amsterdam. Especially in such a central location, we found that extremely pleasant. We also loved the atmosphere: cozy, a little quaint, unpretentious, and wonderfully relaxed. Just sitting outside, having a drink, watching the world go by, and taking a break. That's all we needed. For us, Café Pollux is exactly the kind of place that doesn't need any fancy gimmicks. Nice people, fair prices, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. We particularly appreciated places like these during our trip and will remember them fondly. A clear 5 out of 5 stars from us. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a lovely place to settle down for a while. The atmosphere at the bar is incredibly cozy, and it feels instantly relaxed. We enjoyed a good glass of Cava that was poured at our table. The presentation, with the cooler tray and the Grolsch coasters on the table, also completes the experience. It was exactly what we needed for a successful evening. We will definitely be back here soon. Thanks for the great service.

Last weekend we celebrated my best friend's bachelor party here, and I can wholeheartedly recommend Café Pollux. From the very first contact, everything was perfectly arranged. We were able to make reservations weeks in advance, and host Dave was very accommodating. Basically, anything was possible. Even when we asked if we could do a surprise act with a stripper, that wasn't a problem. They even have a small stage, which made it work out perfectly. The atmosphere was exactly as you hope: pleasantly busy, a nice mix of real Amsterdammers and tourists, creating a great vibe all evening. The interior is also exactly what you look for in an Amsterdam pub: authentic, atmospheric, and no-nonsense. In short: we had a fantastic evening, great hospitality, and a café where they really go the extra mile for you. Thanks Dave and the whole team. If I have something to celebrate again, I know where to go!

Tasty daily special on Wednesday

Came here Wednesday night, early thursday morning with a group of co-workers as we were in town for our company. We had a ball! Everyone was so much fun and they allowed us to play some of our song recommendations. The bartender Dave "Mr.Spiderweb" (I gave him the nickname lol) was mad cool and I didn't catch the other one, but was as well. Definitely going to come back once we are back in town again. The drinks were cheaper compared to our home in the US.

Stopped by for a quick Mai Tai as it was close to the hotel. Small place but everyone was enjoying themselves.

It was practically empty, so the atmosphere is different too. So I'll visit at another time after all.

Very good! Great atmosphere, very lively playlist and good drinks, with a fair price and plenty of variety! The service is good, one of the waiters was super nice. The only food they had was french fries, and since I didn't eat them I can't comment on that.

Best place in Amsterdam. Great bartenders, good music, Flugel is always cold. And if the daily special is vegetarian, I'll be back on Wednesdays.

Love this place, been a few times. Couldn't tell you why. It's a little bit off the beaten track. It has a really warm, friendly, reassuring, lively atmosphere.

Nice pub with good, danceable music! Good beer selection and pleasant atmosphere! It stays open until late, so it's an ideal choice for late drinks.

Great bar for a night out! Only caveat is that the ladies toilet is a bit difficult to get to on a busy night, I feel like the sign by the time I shuffle through the crowd. All-in-all though, great

Cozy brown Amsterdam cafe where people still speak Dutch. The cafe has a large bar, seating areas and terrace in front of the door. In addition to beer, 70 different bottles and taps, stronger drinks and cocktails, you can also get snacks

This is one of my favourite bars in Amsterdam. The drinks were excellent. Fairly priced. The people are fantastic who run it. They made us so welcome. I would 100 percent recommend a visit 👌.

Such a fun and unique bar right by Centraal Station. The atmosphere is incredible, with insane and eclectic interior decor that makes you feel at home in this bustling dive. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they really made the night special for everyone. The music is fun, they have 5 beers on draft and many more in the bottle. For such a small space they truly offer a great range of drinks and shots. Really lovely night - definitely recommend.
